#at once and it’s making a lot of sense

finally watching both seasons consecutively and trying to look at Ed’s arc throughout the entire series. Specifically thinking about his feelings about piracy. We all know throughout s2 he’s tired of being a pirate, tired of being Blackbeard, even tried to kill himself because he thinks there’s no way out, no other life for him (there’s a lot more to say about Ed’s attempted suicide and his mental state but I’m just talking about piracy here)

At the start of s1 he’s bored out of his mind, tired of the same old patterns, his reputation is so notorious that there isn’t anything or anyone to challenge him anymore. He comes up with the plan to kill stede and retire, but over the next few episodes I think he’s willing to give pirating another chance as long as he can do it with stede, because stede has made things interesting again. Jack comes along and reminds him of his days of careless, reckless fun before the Blackbeard persona completely took over his life. It’s clearly not all that healthy, but that was his frat boy era, it was a time when being a pirate came with less responsibility that it does now

It’s not until he’s taken completely out of that life and off the ship that he has the chance to step back and think about what he really wants. He’s away from that influence and responsibility and comes to find he sort of likes the routine of folding things, of doing what he’s told. The conclusion he comes to is that he’s happy as long as he’s with stede, they don’t have to go back to pirating, that can have whatever life they want

Even when he’s back on the revenge he doesn’t want to be a pirate anymore. The only thing that made it even a little bit fun anymore was stede and he’s gone, so may as well have a talent show instead! Hard to say what the crew would’ve done in the long term because Izzy came along and convinced Ed that piracy is all he has, it’s the only thing he’s good for, that no matter how badly he wants to be Edward, he’s only meant to be a monster. So he drowns himself in that. He’s going to do it until it kills him. Piracy isn’t about surviving anymore, it’s his punishment for daring to try and be soft and happy, and eventually it’ll be a death sentence

Post-kraken era Ed’s even more tired than he was at the start. He’s got a whole new fresh set of horrible memories to associate with pirating, but stede’s back, maybe pirating can be fun again? Nope! Part of why he panics in ep 7 is because he’s realized he can’t recapture those feelings from when he and stede first met. He’s done with it all, but stede’s career is just getting started. It’s only when he thinks stede’s either already dead or in danger that he falls back on the thing he knows how to be better than anything else. He’s still learning how to let himself be Ed, but being Blackbeard is easy (a lot easier to slip into that persona than it probably was to slip back into wet leathers)

Ed finds it easiest to be himself when he’s physically removed from piracy and everything associated with it, so I’m super interested in peoples’ opinions about the whole innkeeper idea

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

For intramuscular (IM), you inject at a 90° angle.

For subcutaneous (SQ), you inject at a 45° angle.

Love the thought of Leo just casually being well traveled to absurd degrees. Like one day they’re facing their new Big Bad of the year and like, Draxum or whoever says that the key to their fight is located somewhere in, like, Latvia or some place, but no one knows where to start.

Then Leo’s like “oh I know a place” and when asked how the heck he could know of one it smash cuts to Leo falling through the ceiling of said place due to a portal mishap.

Also love the idea of Leo, being as accidentally (and then later, purposefully) well traveled as he is, sometimes taking his family on outings to different places all over, maybe to some new Yokai spots he found along the way.

In these places, Leo 100% lets his bros get scammed by tourist traps.

A/N: Stress late night writing, while I am supposed to sleep cause I still got work tomorrow but screw my life...

It all started with the disappearance of Box Ghost, followed by Spectra. Back then, Danny didn't realize what was happening, and he still blamed himself for that. What a fine bridge of balance he was....

The next to disappear had been Elli and Danny had mobilize whatever he could to organize a search party when he lost contact. After Elli, Ember was next. Maybe by then Danny should be realized.

Dan was the next in line of disappearances. Vlad was the one making Danny aware of it. Everything Danny had mobilized in his search for Elli was extended to find Dan now, too.

Shortly after Dan, Vlad also disappeared from the face of earth. If he hadn't already be worried Danny would have been now. His events tripled, sleepless nights followed, days in which Jazz practically had to force him to sleep.

One by one all the Ghosts Danny knew disappeared. Maybe he would have realized it sooner if he had paid more attention to certain things, to the news to politics, to anything really. Maybe then Danny would be noticed the appearance of Dalv.Co and his parents invention on the black market. The sudden spike in Meta traficing following or the sudden interest in Ecto-entities.

But he hadn't...

...and that probably what was what costed him too.

Because, one day, he woke up in a dark cell, still in his Phantom transformation but with a collar around his neck. It zapped him any time he touched it or tried to let go of his ghost form. It was like a reverse of the stupid taser Vlad had. There were no mirrors or anything he could use to see himself with, but he had a feeling that collar used Fenton tech. He also realized that he was in a more eldrich kind of transformation. His hands that usually were in white gloves when in phantom form were clawed and inky black with sparks that reminded Danny of the night sky's above Amity Park. He couldn't tell if he looked anything like himself or not, but judging by his hands, probably not.

That day, when Danny woke up in that cell, he realized the reason behind the disappearances of his family and ghost rogues. Just like there was a spike in Meta trafficking, the growing interest had also developed into Ecto-Entity trafficking and worse was, they weren't even protected by law. The Anti-Ecto Acts are making it not even a real or all too big of a crime.

Months passed, and Danny learned to shut his mouth and emotions out. He thought he was even in a state disassociation, Jazz would have been proud of him for his self diagnosis, maybe. With the passing days, Danny stopped remembering who owned him and who he was forced to fight. Sometimes, his eyes came to live when he met one of his old friends in the battle rings. Tho their fights were no longer a form or bonding, it still felt nice to sometimes feel the heat of Ember's flames, the sting of Skulkers blasters or even see a box get thrown at him.

Of course, he had tried to escape or save at least one of the others before, but whoever modified his parents' inventions knew what they were doing. All his attempts were met with failure.

But then the day everything changed came. Danny didn't know how long it had been, all he knew was that a stupid clown was his current holder. The guy spouted some nonsense or wanting to see how a bat, of all animals held himself against one of the strongest ecto-entiies. Danny really wanted to refuse, yell at that fruitloop of a clown and be done with the World.

But what he didn't expect to happen that day was the shock of electricity, the ricochet of a bullet, the crack of metal... and the collar falling of his neck.

Suddenly, Danny no longer felt like he was trapped in his own body, like he was just an onlooker, but at the same time, he had never felt this tired before. He stumbled forward his body losing whatever momentum he had before. It was a single arm that saved him from faceplanting.

"Fuck! That thing was actually a kid!"

"What?!"

"I am going to fucking murder the clown."

Danny blinked slowly as he felt his awareness sliding from him, yet he still couldn't help muttering at least something before the world would go dark. "Get in line, I really hate clowns, and he is the nightmare realm fodder."

Danny felt the arm holding him shaking, and he really wanted to close his eyes and sleep, but right before he did, in fact, black out from pure exhaustion, he heard one last thing. "I don't give a fuck, B. I like this kid so I am keeping him."

imagine there’s a day where mc is just EXHAUSTED,(stay with me) and basically he notices them nodding off during class and fighting to keep their eyes open, at first he’s a little annoyed and he goes to tell them as such after class- however he cuts himself off as he notices they’re swaying and still struggling all while standing (STAY WITH ME) so he questions WHY they’re so tired anyways, while cautiously raising a hand to hover just in case they actually do fall. Which they explain that for the last few nights they’ve been kept awake at the HOL and last night was the absolute worst, they try to explain that Levi was mad and mammon then belphie got involved after they bumped into him and.. and… and they loose their train of thought and apologize, (JINGLE JINGLE STAY WITH ME) and honestly mephisto thinks this is RIDICULOUS! Why would they be stupid enough to keep the human from sleeping?? Clearly they are not as strong as a demon, and if the human starts falling behind then it looks bad for Lord Diavolo! He totally doesn’t care about them in the slightest- it’s just a human after all, however they are very important to he just can’t help but intervene! so he does the only thing that comes to mind, later on in the day he tells them that he is stealing them after school for help on a project, which mc being themself they agree despite nearly fully asleep, Which also leads to mc straight up passing out at his place… all according to plan though! But what wasn’t planned was the fact that they were sleeping on his bed…

in the morning mc is very well rested and confused as to why they’re cuddling with the most pompous rich idiot they have ever met, and also have quite a few texts and missed calls from all the brothers. but they end up not really caring because my god that is the softest bed they have ever had the pleasure of laying on,
