But anyhows~ of course!! ^7^ kylilah wedding fic was just so cute how could I resist reading all of it and commenting? the writing was just so beautiful and so perfect ;; v;;

I accidentally went off to Sophia about Birthright!Leo specifically and yes, sure, I haven't touched Fates in a while (last time I did I'm pretty sure it was for. March? OR FOR LEO'S BIRTHDAY ACTUALLY.), and I genuinely thought I forgot everything tbh because of fixation on coughs Other Matters coughs but talking to Sophia and watching myself slip a bunch of thoughts made me go "ohhhh oh no you're still insane about Fates and Leo specifically... cool cool cool cool-"

Something that'll always come to mind when it comes to Leo is just how much internal conflict the guy must have with feeling like he has to Fit A Specific Function to matter to anyone but also wanting to have someone to talk to - someone who wouldn't put him down for being "weak." And when the "fitting a specific function" is the "reliable one" or the "strong one", then it becomes hard to really allow himself a chance to really allow himself to be vulnerable. He basically creates his own issues this way and it sucks more because I feel like this only gets worse for Birthright!Leo who later becomes king and now the whole country's relying on him. Like how does that play out for a guy with his whole complex exactly?

There was a "work in progress" fic that I had wanted to write that basically was supposed to be a snapshot of his life growing up, following after him and this Need to be Needed, coming from his time with his mom and the way I thought about how she must have raised him and how that plays into who he is today, but I think that fic got shot up in flames due to New Knowledge Acquired That Made Me Want To Stab the Fic With a Knife. normal. real normal snow. Which I will not get into because I actually didn't finish the whole context because I was just eheh~ a littleeee~ mad but that's fine lmao we're fine lolololol we're totally cool 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼(sobbing on the floor)

He's very fun to write for this reason though. Finding ways to balance out between this internal struggle at a given situation makes him very very attractive to write lol At least I try my best to do so anyhow haha I don't necessarily feel that my writing does him a disservice, but I do feel like it borders between weighing in too much into certain aspects of his character instead of holding the true weight he has, but that's a conflict I'm willing to put up with if it means getting to explore his character a little more in my head lmao

And sorry to track back, but I also think a lot about like. the affection with his family. I think a lot about how in his support with Corrin and Camilla, he expresses how much he wished to have the same attention that Corrin does; he just isn't sure how to do it unless the emotions were bubbling from his mouth and he speaks at a breaking point, to which he'll try to mend it with a "Apologies. That was unlike me. Anyways-" and tries to move onto something else LITERALLY JUST TALK DUDE!!!!!! COMMUNICATE WHAT YOU NEED!!!!!!!!!!

But he doesn't. He doesn't because time's told him that if he voices his own weakness he will get punished for it. It's something that I had contemplated specifically about how he was raised by his mom, and only to find out that that is also something he was raised to believe within the royal family (via the voice drama that I had to actually stop watching because I was just sad). He can't allow himself to be weak because he is always expected to be strong.

And for that reason, the name "Leo" is very fitting for him, I think. There's a really really good fanartist's comic on his name and it definitely contributed to the way I appreciate his naming and temporarily served as inspiration for the way I was going to take the fic, but you know. Didn't go anywhere.

I also just wish he knew he was loved. It's very clear his family loves him, but the way he was raised misconstrues this "love" for "shame". Yes we all tease Leo because he's so strict on himself and it's nice to see him have little flaws here and there. We poke fun at it and all, but how does that feel for Leo who's probably had his flaws shamed most if not all his life? It's the reason why he's so strict on himself after all, and they wonder why it is he's so strict on himself.

Anyways. Long story short, and quite the winding road, I love Leo's character a lot. I kinda forgot how much I did until Sophia and my conversation kinda wandered over to Fates talk and then Leo and I had to sit down and cry for like. Several paragraphs apparently about it

And the thing is, I'm not exactly sure if this is all intentional writing or if I just fixated so hard and made stuff up that this is the version that makes the most sense to me for his character. At the very least, all of this serves as the backbone to the way I write him. And as I said: it's very fun :)

5. Wonder Woman’s brother Jason: It was bad enough when DC decided to shove men into Diana’s backstory in 2011 by making her the daughter of Zeus, but giving WONDER WOMAN a brother in a desperate attempt to make her story more about a dude is a degree of tone deafness I remain truly astonished by six years after his debut. Is this asshole still alive? Is he in continuity? DC doesn’t know or care and neither do I. Let’s never speak of this again. Verdict: Offensively garbage.

4. Lois Lane’s brother Leo Lane, a.k.a. “the Daemon Rose”: Speaking of characters who absolutely do not need more pointless men stuffed into her life to make her interesting! (Not you, Clark, you’re an angel and we’re thrilled that you’re here.) Leo is less offensive than the “I have to put a man on Themiscyra or I’ll die!” instinct, but on the other hand he showed up in the middle of a multi-year, utterly incomprehensible storyline to spew empty Bendisisms that went nowhere before disappearing. He was an enormous bombshell that landed and instead of exploding, just sort of sat around like a turd until the event was  mercifully over. Also, the name “the Daemon Rose” is breathtakingly 90s and, as the kids say, cringe. Verdict: Less offensive than Jason, but still garbage.

3. Dick Grayson’s sister Melinda Zucco: “Dick finds out his father had an child with the wife of the man who would eventually murder both of Dick’s parents” is the kind of plot device that inspires a put-upon sigh, but Melinda herself is fine. Like, the whole idea makes me tired, but there’s at least the potential for some interestingly complicated stories to come out of it. I’ll allow it, begrudgingly. Verdict: Eh.

2. Damian Wayne’s brother Respawn: NOW THIS IS WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT! First of all, I one thousand percent buy that Ra’s al Ghul would make a clone out of Slade Wilson and Talia’s DNA just to be a petty little bitch. Second, watching Slade go bonkers insane over this kid because he’s projecting his guilt over Grant onto him is wildly entertaining. Third, the idea of Damian now being related to Rose and Joey is very intriguing, as is Respawn himself, because with that lineage he truly could go in any direction morally speaking and that’s fascinating. (I wonder if anyone’s ever going to get around to naming him? I vote...Jim.) But most importantly, spoiled youngest child Damian is now no longer the baby, and if you don’t find that absolutely hilarious, I’m sorry for you. Verdict: LOLOLOLOL.

1. Oliver Queen’s sister Emiko Queen: I love two things, and they are angry teen girl assassins, and Oliver Queen being befuddled by teenagers. Retconning away Shado’s post-Crisis history of sexually assaulting Ollie and replacing it with an affair with Ollie’s father was such a good choice, and the fact that it brought us my beloved Emi is a massive bonus. All I need now is for DC to publish a proper Green Arrow book so that Emi can meet Mia and Cissie and Ollie can never again know a moment’s peace. Verdict: Brilliant, incredible, showstopping, 10/10.

lol that’s a JUICY question. i’m very open-minded and i find i genuinely get along with a lot, if not all of the signs. whether it’s right away or overtime once we’ve gotten to know each other better, it really just depends on the person/the rest of their chart. so i can’t say i AVOID signs per say. and i think if i’m at a point where dating is even in question, i’m not gonna be super concerned about their sign. 

with thaaat beeeing said, i don’t have the best track record with aries. lol i also have found a lot of capricorns haven’t had the best opinions of me. and while I ADORE PISCES, my most recent beef is with a pisces and i’m still recovering lolololol but while i say those things it’s with the knowledge that those people in reference weren’t the most developed/actualized versions of those signs, nor was i always what i’d consider the “best” version of myself. i’ve generally found i can make a relationship with any sign work so long as i’m cautious and understand what to expect, what boundaries need to be made, and how to maintain those boundaries. like some signs i appreciate more in certain environments over others, and with varying degrees of closeness.

First of all. I am a firm believer that godswaps are impossible: most of the traits given to these characters are dependent on their parentage. Sorry, that's just how Riordan wrote them. Catch-22. Would Annabeth and Jason be the ppl they are if they had different parents? Absolutely not. Hazel wouldn't even be here, and Leo's hephaestus-parts are frustratingly too Hephaestus. Jason's still praetor and a Roman blah blah, everything is the same. He's just a kid of Venus. Charmspeak, at least according to cabin 11, is supposed to be rare. Perhaps Jason is the only Roman to use it. Fun!

Piper still hates Hephaestus for leaving her dad, but she is also frustrated that Tristan just... never got her interested in any Hephaestus activities growing up. Her BMW incident wasn't because of charmspeak, but her ability to talk to machines. For the sake of the prophecy, she's fire.

Leo's a Zeus kid which, you know, should not have happened. His mom could've still died in a fire 🤔 if he accidentally causes a lightning shock that sparked into a fire, that would be awful. Unless he just shocks her to death..... Gory stuff! In the fic, Leo never meets his dad (because jason didn't in tlh) which works pretty well: he's supposed to be this leader due to his parentage, but instead, he's just some loser class clown kid who bad shit happens to, and he's never going to live up to his parentage... This is kind of Canon Jason-esque, but its played with the Canon Leo-insecurities. He's an outsider from being a Big 3 kid anyway: all the other Big 3 kids are insanely powerful, and Leo's struggling with it, while also being aware that he's the last Big 3 kid to be born, and should not be alive lolololol

JASON AS VENUS IS SO FUN. In MoA, Aphrodite says that she is both Venus and Aphrodite, because she does not get the confusion/headaches/separation like the other gods. Love is Roman and Greek blah blah. Which is like, exactly the perfect medium for Jason's identity arc.

Thalia and Leo do NOT get along. It's not like the Percy v Thalia thing, it's just... weird. Thalia doesn't know him at all, and doesn't find him funny, and Leo thinks she's scary. She goes off to the Hunters and Leo's a little sad, but he barely knows her. Jason, on the other hand, is extremely conflicted 😭 what an entanglement..... Jason + Thalia are siblings through blood, but Thalia + Leo are siblings through made-up god stuff... LOL

Piper only hides her fire because she thinks its freaky. She just wants to be a normal kid, like in canon. She can't relate to her siblings at all, and just wants to go back home

Jason knows his Aphrodite siblings have SOME drive, he just can't find the trigger for it. He admires Silena, but also thinks she was silly. Doesn't care for Drew, but she's got guts. He doesn't get why people think Aphrodite is weak though... at first when he remembers his Roman memories his goal is toughen them up. But by the time MoA hits, Jason's just as sappy and chill as the rest of them

Kinda sad that storm or fire isn't a roman and a greek... :( But we can build the comparisons of Piper who doesn't like being a demigod, vs Leo who ALSO doesn't have much care for it, but it's all he has at the moment...... I still think Leo should die. Maybe a kid of Zeus sacrificing himself would make Zeus pay attention to him for once? Maybe not

If I remember correctly, Annabeth didn't love Aphrodite or her kids all too much, so Jason would probably change her opinion :) Hephaestus Piper and Annabeth could be nice too 🤔 Leo thinks too Heph/Athena in canon, but Piper would probably suggest things in a way that Annabeth wouldn't consider :)

Jason vs Percy is amusing considering Aphrodite's connection to seafoam and water, but I don't think too much about it.

I am unable to verbalize, but there's something about Zeus Pride vs Insecure Leo. As well as Emotional Aphrodite and Logical Jason. And then Hephaestus Cant Handle Humans vs Diplomat Piper. blah blah blah blah

ehehehe sorry i hope i didn’t sound rude when i totally @‘d you asking if all ur planets were in cancer i honestly was so afraid it was a typo. i just never thought i’d see another chart with all personal planets in one sign! it’s so cool.

okay so in having these two prominent sister sign energies in your chart through cancer and cap, you may notice one of two things. they may balance each other out really well and bring out two really different but complimentary sides to you, or they may conflict and bring a sense of confusion on how to express their shared values. you want to be the soft, comforting person but you also feel the need to provide through that cap. you’re a super dedicated person and i wouldn’t be surprised if family was the complete center of your life. with a cap rising, that also most likely puts cancer in your descendant making you very attracted to other cancer energies. so certainly it’d be very important to make sure ur balancing your need for comfort, stability, and responsibility in ur relationships.

lolololol so i have a theory that seungkwan is a cancer rising and if that’s the case then he’s 100% ur most compatible. he has all that cap energy to balance out your strong emphasis on cancer, and depending on where your personal planets lay in the houses they can either be in the 6th or 7th house. so if they land in the 6th house (virgo’s house) then 100% seungkwan because you’d have these very communicable virgo energies that make his cap energies even more receptive towards your softer, nurturing side. and that’s even more than they already would have been thanks to a (supposed) cancer rising. you guys would just be so caring to each other and you’d both be able to comfort but protect each other. so cute. 

but without knowing for sure if he’s a cancer rising, i’d say 2nd place is probs seungcheol. cancer and leo placements can be incredibly complimentary. cancer’s can really appreciate leo’s loyalty and sincerity and both your cancer & cap would have a great respect for his sense of responsibility towards his work and loved ones. both of your hearts are truly in the same place. you guys would be able to be playful with each other, and your water influence would be so receptive to how affectionate and appreciative he’d be. and with his cap moon he’d certianly be very focused on making sure he was taking care of you and giving you the stability both ur cancer and cap crave. you guys would have more of a ying and yang, where has with seungkwan those energies would be more evenly balanced between the two of you. 

as for LEAST hmmmm, i’m gonna saaaaaaaaaaaay….. maybe either hoshi or vernon? and i think abstractly and from a distance, you guys would certainly be able to get along and you’d have a great deal of respect for each other. i think more closely and intimately, hoshi may frustrate you due to his flighty nature in the day to day and how free he is in his actions and word choice. this may not vibe with your more conservative cap and sensitive cancer eneriges. as for vernon, he def has both cap and water so you’d imagine you guys would get along. with that being said, his chart generally makes him super dreamy and hard to gauge. this may frustrate your cancer and cap energies that would want him to be more reactive and constructive.
