it's an indisputable fact that the attention to visual details in this show is impeccable. so it's not surprising that there are some blink-and-you-miss-it moments in the intro to every episode that are foreshadowing.

i found a youtube video that arranged all intros next to each other and i played it frame by frame to notice the differences.

It's been a few days since the Dragon Age Veilguard gameplay video was released. I posted a challenge for aspiring developers to identify as many specific features and systems as they could spot. My expertise is in gameplay, so that's where I will be focusing. Expertise on visuals like lighting, rendering, shaders, etc. should be directed elsewhere.

I've posted these two videos before, but recently me and my brother rewatched them, and I noticed a few curse words/expression I didn't translate for you. I also then realized how common cursing actually is in the Danish language, and thought it would be interesting to show you, how different the same cartoon can be across different languages.

Title: "Bandeord i TMNT" = "Curse words in TMNT".

0:06 - Raph: "Ah! Kæft Donnie! Så gift dig dog med dem, for pokker!" - "Ah! Shut the fuck up Donnie! Then go marry them, damn it!"

(The expression "kæft", is a not so nice way to say "shut up", meaning the closes translation in English would be "shut the fuck up". Kæft/kæften (the kæft) is actually a a not so nice word for the chin, jaw and mouth area. Though it is considered cursing, it is seen as pretty tame by todays standards. So is the expression "for pokker". I'm not exactly sure where it comes from, but it can be used as "damn it").

0:09 - Donnie: "Hold kæft en stank" - "Shut the fuck up, what a smell".

(The expression "hold kæft" can be directly translated into "hold (your) chin", and when directed at a specific person, often turns into "hold din kæft" (hold your chin), once again considered the same thing as "shut the fuck up").

0:13 - Casey: "Kæft. Er din ven altid så... nærtagende?" - "Shut the fuck up. Is your friend alway so... approachable?"

0:17 - Nano dad (don't remember his name and is too lazy to look it up): "Hold da kæft, hvor er jeg smart" - "Shut the fuck up, how am I smart".

0:19 - Nano dad: "Kæft hvor var det blæret" - Shut the fuck up, how was it cool".

("Blæret" is sort of an outdated term for cool, that was pretty popular in the 00's).

0:21 - Casey: "Kæft, jeg er smadret" - "Shut the fuck up, I'm tired".

("Smadret" is not considered a curse words, but some elderly might consider it an impolite way of saying tired, as it actually means "smashed up").

0:24 - Donnie: "Skjold da kæft" - "(Shut) Shell the fuck up".

(The use of "skjold da kæft" is a word play on "hold da kæft", in which they use the word "skjold" (shell) instead of "hold").

0:25 - Raph: "Kæft. Sikke et tudefjæs" - "Shut the fuck up. What a cry face".

("Tude" can be considered ugly crying, and is often used as a degrating way of descriping someone's crying).

0:28 - Leo: "Skjold da kæft" - "(Shut) Shell the fuck up".

0:30 - Leo: "Kæft, hvor er jeg bare en idiot" - "Shut the fuck up, how am I an idiot".

0:34 - Raph: "Kæft. Hvis bøllerne ikke gør det af med mig, så skal den her møgspand nok klare det" - "Shut the fuck up. If the bullies don't get rid of me, then this dung bucket will surely do it".

("Møg" is actually not so bad way of saying shit, and is probably better used as dung).

0:39 - Mikey: "Du må hellere efterlade mig her, bror. Jeg sænker dig bare". Donnie: "Hold så kæft, Mikey". - Mikey: "You should probably leave me here, brother. I'm just going to slow you down". Donnie: "Shut the fuck up, Mikey".

0:44 - Donnie: "Årgh, kæft hvor er jeg glad for at se jer" - "Argh, shut the fuck up how am I happy to see you(plural)".

0:47 - Leo: "Skjold da kæft, hvad var det for noget?" - "(Shut) Shell the fuck up, what was that?"

0:50 - Mikey: "Skjold da helt kæft!" - "(Shut) Shell the full fuck up!"

0:52 - Mikey: "Kæft en paddehat" - "Shut the fuck up, what a mushroom head".

("Paddehat" is sort of a derogatory term. It can mean anything from a mushroom head, to a toad head and even a turtle head, as the word "padde" describes the top of a mushroom, a kind of frog/frog, and is also a word used for turtles. The word "hat" means, well, hat).

0:53 - Mikey: "Kæft, hvor er det her noget rod!" - "Shut the fuck up, how is this a mess!"

0:56 - Raph: "KAN! DU! SÅ! HOLD! KÆFT!?" - "CAN! YOU! SHUT! THE! FUCK! UP?!"

(The direct translation would be "CAN! YOU! SO! HOLD! MOUTH/CHIN/JAW?!")

1:00 - Raph: "Skjold da kæft" - "(Shut) Shell the fuck up".

1:01 - Raph: "Skjold da kæft, hvad er det der sker her?!" - "(Shut) Shell the fuck up, what is happening here?!"

1:04 - Raph: "Skjold da op, hvad er der dog sket?" - "Hold up, what has happened?"

("Skjold da op" is a word play on the expression "hold da op", which closely ties to "hold da kæft". However taking the word "kæft" out, no longer makes it a curse word, so I'm not fully sure what it's doing here. It an expression often used, even in kindergartens. The determining factor of how you're supposed to take it is in the tone, and here I would say it's used pretty calmly).

1:07 - Raph: "Skjold da kæft, hvad var det?" - "(Shut) Shell the fuck up, what was that?"

1:09 - Donnie or Leo (At this point in the show they had changed the voice actors for the turtles around quite a few times, so I'm actually not sure): "Skjold da op" - "(Shut) Shell the fuck up".

(The tone used here shuts like it's directed at someone (don't ask me how I know. You can almost hear it. That's Danish for you😂), and that would change "hold da op" to something closer to "hold da kæft". Yeah, I know. Confusing. I've spoken this language for 23 years, and it still confuses me at times).

1:10 - Mikey: "Skjold da kæft, hvad sker der?" - "(Shut) Shell the fuck up, what is happening?"

Title: "Flere bandeord i TMNT" = "More curse words in TMNT".

0:00 - Leo: "Raph, hvad skal du med butterfly sværdene?" Raph: "Jeg skal bare trimme træet". Raph: "Kæft, hvor er jeg go'" - Leo: "Raph, what are you going to do with the butterfly swords?" Raph: "I'm just going to trim the tree". Raph: "Shut the fuck up, how am I great".

(If anybody out there is thinking about learning Danish, good luck. We sometimes remove letters while speaking, turning words such as "god" (good) into "go´". We actually do it quite a lot).

0:10 - Raph: "Jeg var nær' hoppet på den, man! Skraldemanden - kæft! Vi må videre, drenge" - "I was almost fooled, man! The trash man - shut the fuck up! We better get going, boys".

(The direct translation of "jeg var nær' hoppet på den" would be "I almost jumped on it").

0:16 - Mikey: "Skjold da kæft" - at this point I'm pretty sure you know what it means.

0:18 - Mikey: "Skjold da kæft! Hvad er det?!" - "(Shut) Shell the fuck up! What is that?!"

0:22 - Mikey: "Hey April! Kæft en gusten muddermaske!" - "Hey April! Shut the fuck up, what a nasty mud mask".

("Gusten" is best translated with the word sallow, which means a sickly yellowish palish green color. But nasty also works. Not a very nice thing to say to someone tho).

0:25 - Mikey: "Skjold da kæft, hvad handlede det om?" - "(Shut) Shell the fuck up, what was that about?"

0:29 - Raph: "Skjold da kæft, hvor er jeg god" - "(Shut) Shell the fuck up, how am I good".

(It's hear that the eagle eared listener might have noticed something strange with Mikey and Raph's voices. The voice actor for Mikey's voice actor in season one suddenly disappered in season two, and was replaced by Raph's voice actor. Then Mikey's first actor came back in the last season, and when they decided to redob the 1987 cartoons with the 2003 actors, every fucking child thought they had mixed up the personalities of Raph and Mikey).

0:31 - Bishop: "- Et digitalt forstørret billede fra vores satellit kamera". Raph or Mikey (to this day I'm confused): "Skjold da kæft!" - Bishop: "-A digitally enlarged image from our satellite camera". Raph or Mikey: - you know.

(Pro tip, if you want to speak Danish fast, drop some letters).

It's a word my grandmother still uses at times, when describing her dead brother, who had downs syndrome, when she feel like she had overused the word retard... yeah.....)
