Why I'm excited:

I like the Tigers (cat team + a good baseball pal of mine is from Detroit and a big fan), and them making the playoffs at all was incredibly unexpected & only happened as a result of a huge August/September.

This Tigers team is playing very unconventionally, in terms of roster management. Always fun to see an "off-meta" pick doing well.

This snaps a 7-year run of the Astros making the penultimate round of the playoffs or better. Tired of seeing them.

As 2023 ends in 3 months, you have to wonder where we go from here in 2024 and many years to come in the future, especially and specifically when it comes to what the future is going to look like. From now on, I’m deciding to come to the realization that being fair in sports is no longer mandatory because I’ve been having a hard time trying to find common ground about one subject and that is called "Sports Integrity" . I’m satisfied about what the Big Ten is doing college football into making sure that cheating is never justified. Every team in the Big Ten, including the Michigan Wolverines Football Program, is and should be obligated to follow the NCAA rules regarding recruiting whether they like it or not and I’m satisfied that the NCAA is investigating Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines and to ensure that integrity in sports is in place and that sports are clean, fair and free, but certain people from the conservative side of Instagram and the gaming side of Twitch or YouTube refuse to advocate for fairness in sports and oppose because of their fierce opposition to me going after teams who such as the Houston Astros and the Michigan Wolverines football program, because they just simply hate accountability because of me and personally accusing me of talking trash when all I’m is stating what certain sports teams have done. Am I disappointed about the entire display? Yes, but am I even surprised about it? No because those are the types of people that are trying to incentivize teams cheating and that other teams who play the right way to never win a conference championships based off of common sense outcomes ever again. I can see a scenario when the NCAA is creating a phishing expedition, but when certain people disrespect the fuck out of me and everything turns out to be exactly the opposite of a phishing expedition by other programs and teams detailing the cheating that occur, that’s when I don’t have sympathy for those who cross the line and for it’s likely going to be a serious problem for college programs who are caught cheating, so there’s no reason for certain people on social media to just get pissed off at me because of sports that clearly has absolutely nothing to do with them whatsoever and there’s no reason for God to keep listening to people who disrespect and ignore me when college sports have absolutely nothing to do with them and they clearly could have and should have sat that one out. Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines football program are currently being investigated by the NCAA because of again another cheating scandal and Michigan clearly has an integrity problem, so I’m giving a slide edge to Michigan State vs. Michigan because at the end of the day Michigan failed to integrity in place when all they want to do is cheat and there has to be serious consequences for cheating, which is why sending and analyst for recruiting from other opponents and to spy on them is outrageous. Also, I’m going to start cutting certain people from social media off and immediately trying to as civil as I possibly can, but I have a right to tell certain people from social media to grow the fuck up because all they do is incentivize cheating like a 3 year old bitch when sports clearly has nothing to do with them, so from now on I’m holding those people accountable and responsible because at the end of the day, it’s the choices that they make that will ultimately backfired on them.

The Houston Astros sign stealing scandal is the biggest story of the 2019-20 MLB offseason. It is probably the biggest case of MLB sign stealing in history. The Ken Rosenthal Astros story broke things open, but don't forget his co-author Evan Drellich! This huge MLB cheating will not be going away any time soon. When it comes to college football and other sports, I cannot continue to be a loser in sports because of somebody's feelings about a team and for something that has absolutely nothing to do with the other. For the Detroit Lions, Houston Astros and the Michigan Wolverines in college football have been easily getting a lot of success because I rightfully calling out biases and cheating and people from the conservative side of social media just hates that, so they use anything as an excuse to cut me off by unfollowing me for simply being vindicated on a variety of topics while having the audacity to refuse to hold themselves accountable for disrespecting me at the same time. I have a right to not have anything to do with Detroit because people on Detroit are just flat out disrespectful. I would have been okay with going to a Lions game if the fans and other people didn't have the audacity to disrespect me in any kind of way, but I chose not to and I have a right to refuse to go to a Lions game because of the people in it and all they do is ruin the experience and this is why I prefer to tune into college football instead of the NFL. Speaking of college football, I like Michigan State football and I have been a fan of Spartan football for 15 years and I've never seen a lot of hatred towards Michigan State in my entire life, specifically not to this degree. Personally speaking, Mel Tucker is at fault for simply himself into a position to get set up by Brenda Tracy and I can't justify harassment in the workplace by any stretch of the imagination, but Brenda Tracy actually set Mel Tucker up and made it seem like he was the one that's going after her and set him up in a way to get him fired because she didn't like him. It wasn't a big deal as she somehow made it to be a big deal.As far as the entire situation goes it clearly never should have been reported in the first place because Mel Tucker didn't do a damn thing to Brenda Tracy and it's all designed for the media to have a sports bias against Michigan State and it's just a reminder that sports should not be predicated based on feelings by other people and I'm starting to see a pattern to where people who hate Michigan State so much just simply don't want to see a repeated success with 11- 1 records for Michigan State and it's because of occasions that have absolutely nothing to do with all of Michigan State's sports program and it's likely because of the fact that the media clearly has a bias towards Michigan State and is trying to incentivize atrocious sports, so they might as well just say that hate Michigan State because of me. It's clear to that people who Michigan State clearly didn't like the outcomes of the 2008, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2020 and 2021 college football seasons. What's sad about sports, particularly college football is that people have a tendency, including those I'm the media, to hate Michigan State because of me and it's clear that they refused to see exactly the same 11-1 successful season in 2022 and still refuse to see the exact same success in the 2023 season like Michigan State has done in the 2021 college football season and he didn't even have to listen to Detroit Lions fans, Houston Astros fans and University of Michigan Wolverine fans. It's a shame and it's sad that God has been listening to people on social media that personally doesn't like anything that's to me and that's calked being selfish It's not even about being fair in the Big Ten, certain college fans just simply hate what I have to say about other school having scandals such as Arizona State University, University of Michigan and University of Nebraska. In conclusion, I plan not to have anything to do with college sports anymore until college sports are clean and normal by not having to listen to other sports fans because of their feelings and having such a high level of integrity because this time what's happening in this decade so far has gone extremely way too far.

The New York Mess 🤦‍♀️

First of all and most importantly: 

2017 AARON JUDGE DESERVED BETTER THAN THIS

I want that stated for the record in triplicate. Underlined. And if anyone tells me: “Oh, the Yankees have won so many World Series, they’re also evil, blah, blah, blahhhhhh” I will laugh in your face. That was the year. I cried at that Brett Gardner RBI. My six-foot-three husband got air jumping in quite literal joy at that Brett Gardner RBI. Don’t listen to CC talking about not winning, you’ll cry. 

And then this year! Oh my Godddddd. Don’t ask me how much money we spent on ALCS tickets. I DON’T WANT TO THINK ABOUT IT. 

For those not following along at home, the gist is that the Houston Astros, beginning in their 2017 season & World Series championship run, used a pretty elaborate sign-stealing system and also won the aforementioned World Series. Basically, MLB’s been investigating, found that it happened and it involved not just current Astros staff, but people who had moved on to other teams - including Carlos Beltran, who was a player at the time and this offseason was named the manager of the Mets. He is no longer the manager of the Mets. 

Because of this scandal three MLB teams don’t have managers right now. 

PITCHERS AND CATCHERS REPROT IN LESS THAN A MONTH.

Now, obviously, everyone’s got feelings about this. But when it comes to the Mets, mostly I can’t and absolutely can believe that it took them until yesterday to do something. It’s so Mets. Like. Almost too Mets. 

It does, however, bring up something interesting. Because Beltran was a player at that point. He was the only player named in the MLB report which, one, is weird and two, IS WEIRD because the report says “a group of players, including Carlos Beltran, discussed that the team could improve on decoding opposing teams' signs...” Which leads us to the conspiracy theories and the internet sleuths. 

LOOK AT JOSE ALTUVE AFTER HE HIT THE WALK-OFF HOMER OFF CHAPMAN TO SEND THE ASTROS TO THE WORLD SERIES THIS YEAR.

Now, MLB says they don’t have any evidence of under-the-jersey communications devices. And fine. But there’s also been reports that Altuve immediately went into the dugout to change into his championship shirt. Nah, nah, nah. If I ever see Jose Altuve I will one-hundred percent kick him in his smaller-than-average MLB player shins.

Now, you may ask: Laura, why is this a problem? Doesn’t everyone steal signs? Yeah. They do. And if I’m a dude standing on second, picking up the catcher’s signals and telling the guys in the dugout - cool, good on me. That’s how the game works. BUT! A whole system of stealing signs, using analytics (which are already iffy with the old baseball men who are now positive the numbers are coming to ruin the game) and stepping into the batters box knowing what’s coming is cheating.

So, what happens now? I’ve got no idea. The Astros got penalized, but, if we’re being honest, it didn’t really seem like a ton. And if I got a championship out of it, I’d be like...ok. I am still almost painfully here for even more conspiracy theories and Josh Reddick’s wife telling everyone to fuck off on Twitter because that really wasn’t a signaling device under his jersey, it was confetti.
