O Shining Moon, Lady of Tides, as your figure becomes full, I would like to offer you my praise. Silvered Huntress, Queen of Beasts and Friend of Women, your watchful eye brings me peace and safety. Under your shining light, I feel blessed and loved. Wolf Moon, I ask you to continue to watch over me and guide me in my path. I will follow your light. I praise you, O Brilliant Moon.

"The earliest known depiction of the constellation Orion, according to Rappenglueck, was carved on a piece of mammoth tusk. This 32,000 year old artifact of the Aurignacian people of the Upper Paleolithic represents a male figure with arms and legs outstretched in the same pose as the constellation. The tablet also has 86 markings on its sides and back. Rappenglueck notes these are the number of days which when subtracted from a year equal the average number of days of human gestation. That number also matches the days that one of Orion’s brightest stars –Betelgeuse– is visible yearly, suggesting early skywatchers may have connected women’s pregnancy with the cycles of the celestial gods." “Capra, Capella, Hircine Queen: you are She whose cloven feet are the drums conjuring forth flame and torrent, whose horns graze the sky and draw down the swift howls of the storm. I ask not for mercy— only deliverance from fear, that I may stand tall amid the downpour, unflinching as the whip-crack of thunder crashes through dark clouds.Just because there are storms on the horizon does not mean one should cease sailing. I know this— for I have passed through the storm and lived. O Castor and Pollux: you lanterns in the dark, the First Fire and promises of blue skies! This catamaran is made to endure, and I have faith in St Elmo’s fire to guide me through the terror and the tempest.”

Managed to actually see a true solar eclipse. It didn't feel real but I'm glad it was and that I managed to snag a video and some pics

One time I tried to astral project (I'm not sure if I believe in it) and it didn't work out as expected.
Instead of doing that I got to a point where I quickly started feeling tingly and anticipated then I jolted upwards literally. I think I was too scared so I went to sleep.
Something was probably trying to push my soul back in there.
It was an interesting thing cause it could have been me just dreaming about falling or something because usually when I jolt up in my sleep or do a sharp movement it's because I'm half dreaming about walking or falling. But I don't remember falling asleep, I was just laying there.
But.. you never know /lh

I understand you say you are a secular witch but I have also seen you mention star worship and the like - wouldn't that be considered religious?
i think that my beliefs have certainly evolved over time - i never really had a great grasp on religion as a whole, being raised catholic but not feeling like i belonged in the church or believing in that version of god any way. i went through a period of atheism, agnosticism, pantheism, etc. i may not be traditionally "religious" but i am not sure i would consider my practice "secular" anymore.
if we view non-secular witchcraft as witchcraft with organized religion and the worship of personified deities, then yeah i would be a secular witch. but i think that definition differs from person to person.
the best way to describe my relationship with the planets is astrolatry - aka, worship of the celestial bodies, revering them as deities or gods, etc; but not personifying them or giving them human like qualities and without anthropomorphism.
i guess i could also be considered an animist the way i consider that all things have innate energy, some would call them "spirits" (water spirit, fire spirit, things along those lines); and how i believe the spiritual world definitely intertwines with the mundane.
all in all, my spiritualty is ever-changing, but at my core, i am an astrolater. all celestial bodies and their energy is divine to me.

actually i'm gonna also say something kinda controversial—
astrology, as a system, does not make sense unless you accept on at least some level the concept of Immutable Fate. and i think there are a lot of people out there trying to do astrology who aren't actually comfortable with that!
like, yeah yeah astra inclinant sed non obligant* and all that but fundamentally the underlying worldview of traditional astrology is not actually fully compatible with the kind of highly individualistic post-enlightenment view of what "free will" means that our culture claims to overtly epouse. and i think that a lot of modern approaches to astrology** are genuinely incoherent because they are not actually willing to properly grapple with that tension.
