What do you think of Joyofsatan.org? They claim to follow the pre-Christian Sumerian God Enki-Satan and they’re the largest Satanist group in the world.

I have never heard of the website before, but i will check it out when I can. I know there are multiple branches of satanism. I'm a Levayan Satanist/Pagan as the two religions allow it. Thanks for bringing this to my attention:3

What are your feelings about working with deities?

Good morning! Thank you so much for the complement! I have been keeping it going for 6 years and I am very glad that you and, hopefully, others can find it to be useful!

I have had an interesting relationship with deities over my life. A grew up knowing I was a witch in the Catholic faith. Until I was 24, I was hiding away in the broom closet and hoping the Abrahamic God did not smite me. Those thoughts only lasted until shortly after I stopped going to my Catholic church. That was when I truly started to question higher powers and became agnostic.

It wasn't until I started to actually open up about my craft that my feelings involving deities began to change again. I began receiving signs from Hekate - the strongest one being the absolute need to get my key tattoo on my leg. Within the last few years, I've also made strong connections with Hades and Persephone.

These are the only 3 that I actually interact with. I converse with them often. I make sure that they always feel welcome with me. When I ask for their help, regardless of if they lend me any, and make sure to leave them an offering.

If you are new to your craft, take your time. You don't have to find your patron saint or a deity to work with. Having a relationship with a deity isn't much different from having an actual relationship with other people (such as friends). You need to make sure that you have the time to give them. No one likes being placed on a back burner, especially deities.

My relationship with my deities is important to me and only needs to be important to me. If these relationships are important to you, put in the effort!

That's a great question! Loki can be a lot of fun but also quite dramatic, so starting out right can be very useful. They're not evil, just very forthright and brutally honest. Loki doesn't believe in armbands, They just throw all Their devotees into the deep end of a pool and yell at them for not swimming as well as they could while they drown.

Anyway, here's my top 10 tips for beginning to work with Loki!

1. Read about Them and learn as much as you can, the myths, the stories. You can find a lot of the myths from the eddas free online but Neil Gaimans 'Norse Mythology' really captures Loki for me and there's a book called 'The Gospel of Loki' by Joanne Harris which retells the norse mythology from Loki's perspective.

2. Search the website Odin's Gift for poetry and prayers to Loki, Sigyn, Hel, Fenrir, Jormungandr, Sleipnir, and Narfi and Vali. Try them out and see whether you get any response.

3. Start a devotional journal. Mine has letters I've written to Loki, poetry, prayers, correspondences, quotes and an offering log. Its a great and easy way to communicate with any god.

4. Search the Lokean tag on Tumblr. Some of the asatru and heathen community on the internet can be anti-Loki so if you want to avoid most of the negativity try there.

5. Start protecting animals that are considered vermin. Take spiders and wasps outside, feed pigeons, use non-lethal rat and mouse traps. Loki is often left aside and considered lesser by other norse deities and the community, so looking after things in the same situation can grab Their attention.

6. Use an invocation to Loki (there are some great ones available on Odin's Gift) and ask Them to send you a sign or evidence of their presence. Keep an eye out for anything that just shouts "Loki" to you (this could be anything).

7. Prepare for spiders. Lots of spiders. All the spiders.

8. Start an altar for Them. Altar decor can include trees, hagstones, snakes, dragons, wolves, dice (chance and chaos), and a green candle to light when you're getting Their attention.

9. Get into activism in any way you can. One of my favourite phrases to summarise Loki is "bless the hated" so standing up for marginalised groups really makes Them happy.

10. Devote a piece of jewelery to Them and wear it every day to remind yourself and Them of your worship. Gold, amethyst, copper, green, purples all work well for Them.

I tried to astral travel for the first time in months the other day and got closer than I ever have. It still didn't happen but that's okay. I read one of your posts on it and I think it really helped me so thank you for that! I can get to the point where I feel numb and like there's bees trapped in my body (which was really fun tbh), but didn't know where to go from there? I saw some purple lights and things behind my eyes though, does that mean anything? Do you have any tips?

Oh wow you’re so close! What this sounds like to me is that you’ve reached the part of projection when you’re ready to start pulling your astral body out of your real one. Your vibrations sound perfect.

So now you want to pull the astral body out. There are 10000000 different ways to do this and searching the internet should yield a load of different visualisations to try, but my preferred one is this:

1. Imagine a bright light high above you where you can see it. This is the astral and your goal. (purple sounds like it works well for you so try seeing your astral light as a purple one, or focus on moving those lights above you).

2. Focus on one finger and feel the vibrations in it, visualise your astral finger moving up and down without moving your real one. Keep doing it until it feels natural.

3. Move your astral hand. Wave it. Move it up and down. Shake it. Just keep it going until you can confidently control it.

4. Visualise a rope above you hanging right in front of your face from the light above you.

5. Take the astral arm you’ve been focusing on and throw it up to grab the rope. This might take a very long time.

6. Pull your other astral arm up onto the rope just above your first hand. Once again, this might take a while.

7. Now, put one hand above the other and pull the rest of your astral body out and keep climbing up and up into the light of the astral realm.

Take your time, stay focused and don’t forget that it’s ok to fail. These things always take time and NO ONE can do it right every time no matter how much they’ve been practicing. Also remember to keep drawing your attention to your third eye, not your physical ones; it should be right between your eyebrows and this should help you focus your spiritual body on your goal while focusing on your real eyes could keep you locked in your physical body as it keeps bringing you back to your physical body (did that make any sense, I have no idea lol)

The Witch is In!

For those who do not follow me yet, my name is Cat. Very few from my early days on Witchblr know my true witch name, Belladonna. I have been openly practicing my craft for 3 years but have known that I am a witch since I was very young.

On top of truly opening up to my craft, I have written spells and sigils for others. I have posted a few of my own spells on here (and will post more when I bring my magick bag into our room). I have been practicing multiple forms of divination in these three years as well; reading Tarot, reading pendulums, and dream divination. I have offered all of these things to my followers and anyone who had wanted one (except for those few times I was only accepting payment for them due to financial crisises).

While I am going on this self-discovery journey with Josh (my husband) and one of our best friends, I would like to open my ask box to anyone who would like to ask me anything! Please, though, do not ask for divination readings. My magick bag is not currently in our room where we are staying for work yet. I will make a post when I open for readings. As for any magick (or personal, to a degree) questions, please ask away!
