do you ship ravage and drift? you draw them a lot and they're always so touchy lol

nah. they're really touchy amicas, tho. probably because im always touchy with my friends and it just kinda rubs off on my art. ravage is my Me character so i do end up giving him traits i have. one of those is being touchy with people he cares about 🤷‍♂️. he's especially touchy with drift as when they were grouped together in the dead end (which is where they met in my brain), ravage spent a lot of hours curled up in drift's car alt with laserbeak and buzzsaw for shelter. that touchy aspect never really left their dynamic.

and besides,

drift/deadlock's candle has always been lit for someone else.

Okay so I gotta ask after reading the reply to your marriage hcs - what are the trials you envision Apollo having to go on to restore Hyacinthus to life? :0c

Funny enough, the Hyapollo resurrection trials is a major plotline in my two-years-into-the-making Hyapollo fic series :D So if I'm gonna talk about the envision/headcanons, I'll have to spill part of my WIP.

But for you, Ginger, I'll reveal just a wee bit of what I'm working on - but not too much!

In my fic series, Hyacinthus and Polyboea are the ones going through the trials to prove themselves worthy of resurrection. But Apollo will try his best aiding his lover while Artemis, plus Athena and Aphrodite, aids her huntress.

(But the resurrection trial arc is later down the line. The Spartan siblings will first have to stay in the Underworld for a couple of years and suffer for character development because Hades and Persephone need time to consider the big decision)

Anyways, Persephone - who has ulterior motive for helping them that will be explored in the series - will be the one giving Hyacinthus and Polyboea the challenges and overseeing their process.

Here are the general frame of how the trials look like:

First trial: Test of skill

Hyacinthus and Polyboea are in different sections of the Underworld (Hya in Elysium and Poly in Asphodel), so they'll have to do the first trial alone. Hyacinthus' task is covering all of his personal Blessed Isle in hyacinth flowers, while Polyboea's is to capture the souls of all the animals that she had hunted before.

While these trials look simple, Hyacinthus and Polyboea will have to do them with their BARE HANDS and zero equipment. Not only that, they will also have callbacks of their fears and mistakes in life, all will come back to bite them and crumble them in their daily breakdowns ( ˘▽˘)っ

Second trial: Lost and found

After completing their respective first tasks and gain some character development points, Hyacinthus and Polyboea will be allowed to leave Elysium/Asphodel to search for each other in the Underworld. Barefoot. On their own. With zero guidance.

And like the first trial, they're gonna have even more trauma! This time they will be reminded of the good times they once had in life and how they had lost everything when they were so close to achieving their dreams. Fun!

Third trial: Escape the Underworld

When Hyacinthus and Polyboea have found each other, they will have to find the deck where Charon's boat stops by to catch a ride leaving the Underworld. Of course, it's not gonna be an easy end for them.

Just know that somethings happened and Hyacinthus is trapped again, but he then follows the playing of Apollo's lyre to a way out of the Underworld.

What made you ship it?

I've been a fan since the first airing of "Carpe Museum". I enjoyed Rudy right away as a character since he reminded me a lot of myself as a kid. And Louise's interactions with him were pretty different from what we'd seen with any of her classmates before- she treated him as an equal on their adventure, she was concerned when he had his asthma attack. I liked that he brought out a different side to her. By the time they were cuddled up next to Bob on the bus, I was sold.

2. What are your favorite things about the ship?

For starters, I'm a dork for friends to lovers. And I really enjoy the way the show has developed their friendship- it hasn't been static. While I love "Carpe Museum", I really think "The Kids Rob A Train" shows them kind of moving from classmates who get along to friends. And other episodes after that show their friendhsip continuing to evolve until you get a story like "The Amazing Rudy", which would not have rung true if it was earlier on in the shows run. As I've gone on about at length elsewhere even the epieodes that focus on the two being in conflict, "House of 1,000 Bounces" and "Bridge Over Troubled Rudy" , ultimately end up showing them growing as individuals and as friends (and the "growing" part is important since they are only 9, after all.)

But I also really love that their friendship doesn't have to be the focus of an episode to be there. It is often reflected in the show in little moments like Louise cheering on Rudy in kickball in "Stop! Or My Mom Will Sleuth!" or him laughing at her joke at the beginning of "Amelia".

And I like the way their personalities play off each other. I think they have similar personality traits but in different proportions- so they are able to bring out another side in each other. Louise encourages Rudy's more adventorous side, he brings out her more thoughtful and selfless side. They complement each other well and are capable of bringing out the best in each other ("are capable"- they don't always do so, because, again, they're 9).

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

That I ship it, LOL! (Sorry, but I feel like folks can say this about any "Bob's Burgers" ship except Boblin. I mean, if you don't ship Boblin how are you even watching the show?!)

Okay, seriously, I think an opinion I have about them that might go against the conventional wisdom is that, while Louise can be a force of nature, Rudy's not a pushover. I actually think that, after Tina (who has the big sister card to play), Rudy is the next best of any of the kids on the show at standing up to Louise when necessary. Not only is there a whole episode about Rudy setting a boundary and Louise realizing she screwed up by overstepping it ("Bridge Over Troubled Rudy"), you get little things ranging from Rudy being snarky to her in "The Gene Mile" ("How is this 'for Gene'?" and- one of my favorite Rudy lines- "Someone's fishing for a compliment...Good job, Louise!") to Rudy speaking up on behalf of himself, Arnold, and the Pesto Twins in asking for a refund in "The (Raccoon) King and I".

(I will admit that I find this "unpopular opinion" question to be tough! I don't know what's popular! I never have! That's why I'm so unpopular!)

Off the top of my head (because it is midnight where I am and also I don’t want to make this the longest list I’ve ever made):

They both crushed on each other for multiple decades, but neither of them said anything because they didn’t want to mess up their friendship, internalized homophobia, and they didn’t think the other liked boys anyway

Horace is gay (duh) and Enoch doesn’t necessarily care about gender other than he just doesn’t like girls. For a while he was pretty insecure about this and if I may ever so slightly tweak canon, those “ymbryne crushes” were an attempt to tell the others he was definitely straight guys I promise (because read them and tell me I’m wrong.)

When they finally stopped being scared of each other and actually started dating, they told nobody. They tried to avoid anyone finding out for as long as possible (not because of any homophobia, just because they knew they’d get teased beyond belief about it) but they weren’t exactly subtle, so everyone else found out pretty quickly anyway.

Pretty much nothing changed between them when they got together except now they can do things like cuddle on the couch and kiss and stuff. They are best friends and boyfriends and they always have been and forever will be absolute menaces to society together.

Enoch isn’t overtly affectionate in front of other people but he will absolutely grab his boyfriend and kiss him while you watch to prove a point and call someone out for being a dick. Horace’s opinion on PDA of any kind is “excuse you, no, go away, this is MY thing. You can’t watch. Get out.”

In Hollow City they were absolutely not “too proud to snuggle”, they were gay panicking and didn’t want anyone (especially the other) to know it. Fight me.

Whenever they want to talk privately and just focus on each other, they sit with their foreheads together and whisper to each other. Horace really likes the nuzzling.

When they hold hands, their demeanors completely swap. Horace becomes calm and carefree, anything that was bothering him just kinda stops mattering, and Enoch is in full gay panic mode. The others think this is hilarious.

Enoch is one of the two people in Miss Peregrine’s house known for giving the best hugs because he does it so rarely, so the fact that Enoch hugs are something Horace gets regularly when they start dating is one of his favorite things ever.

While he absolutely still messes with and makes fun of Horace for everything under the sun, Enoch is surprisingly gentle when it comes to his boyfriend. He tells Horace every time it comes to his mind how much he loves him, and how proud he is of him for everything he does, and how he still doesn’t understand how on earth he managed to be with him but that he wouldn’t trade it for his life if he had to.

When Horace has a nightmare, Enoch’s the first at his side to comfort him. If he wakes up from it before it wakes anyone else, he goes straight to the basement for cuddles until morning. Protecting Horace from his nightmares is the only way you will ever find Enoch sleeping in his actual bed.

They are chaotic as always, and they still bicker like there’s no tomorrow, but they know they have each other. They’re in love, and that’s really all they need. 🖤💜

I just can't get over how Tails spied on Sonic in the bath via satellite in the movies (and enjoyed the view. He knew what he was doing). They (probably unintentionally) giving us shippers fuel ❤️👀

I think about some of those tidbits from Sonic Movie 2 all the time

I mean it's not as if this is out of character for Tails (given that he more explicitly just kind of straight up stalked Sonic in the backstory in Japan's version of the Sonic 2 manual) but man

This really is not to mention the way Sonic feigns uncomfortability/disgust when he's like "You even watch me in the shower??", and then when Tails doesn't even skip a beat explaining that he knows Sonic takes bubble baths Sonic full 180s into "Wow!😊". Just full on impressed with how extensively Tails has been watching him

Like they just dropped on us "Tails watches Sonic constantly like it's the Sonic show, no matter how private or intimate the moment" and "by all rights Sonic is perfectly okay with the knowledge of this behavior" and expected us to be normal about it?😂

I could probably make an entire post logging Sonic movie 2's sontails shipping fuel honestly

Honarable mention of a scene is when Maddie starts looking through Tails' backpack of inventions and comments "This fox is into some freaky stuff!"

Elaborating on the two from this post, so:

June Zootowski: Oldest child of Zoot and Lips, June is reason #1 why Lips was away from the band for nearly 20 years, having taken time off to raise her. June is rather bookish, practical, a bit neurotic, and kind of takes it upon herself to be the most responsible person in the room even when no one asked her too. She didn't have the closest relationship with her father Zoot during her formative years, but she nevertheless adores him. She currently resides in the Avenue Q outer borough of New York City.

Lou Wilder (nee Zootowski): The youngest child of Zoot and Lips, Lou is reason #2 why Lips was away from the band for nearly 20 years. Unlike his more reserved and practical sister, Lou's had his head in the clouds with grand dreams of stardom ever since he was a child, though he's since been a bit more humbled in recent years. After a particularly devastating audition rejection, he did a little soul searching and found a lot more. He currently resides in a small farming village in the Swiss Alps with his human husband, Sage, the couple living a quiet life of farmers. He has fairly limited contact with his parents, though that's mostly due to internet connection issues and the distance.
