when will you start posting wed the witches?

Good question, anon! I was hoping to get this new marriage law story posted when I'm done with it. I'm thinking it will be 50k ish? I'm about 10k words in!

How about a snippet to tide you over? This story's going to be told from alternating Remus and Tonks POVs!

Remus sat back and thought of the weekend ahead. If it wasn’t for Lily and Amelia, he would’ve had to work on Saturday and Sunday. Peter had whined about working the whole weekend and missing time with his son. In the end, James, Sirius, and Peter decided to take turns, so that Peter would only be alone on Sunday morning, when James would be dropping off Harry at King’s Cross for his first year at Hogwarts. Sirius insisted on seeing his godson off, but he would return to the shop as soon as he could to help Peter. 

Remus would be at his cottage with his new wife and trying to get to know her, if she let him. 

“Do you have dress robes?” asked Lyall. He came downstairs with a velvet box in his hand. 

“Lily ordered them for me. They’ll be ready by Thursday. She and Amelia, Sirius’s wife, are working on my cottage as we speak.”

“Working?”

“Lily suggested a few changes to make it homier for a witch. Amelia had the idea to put in some plants and decorations that would make it feel like the Hufflepuff common room.”

“That’s generous of them.”

Remus shrugged. He’d thought his cottage was in fine shape. It needed some cleaning, which he was happy to do himself, but Lily suggested more ‘feminine’ touches and Amelia joined in with florals and greenery. 

“Have you thought of what you’ll do after the wedding?”

“. . . no?”

“You might want to invite her parents over for tea. They would appreciate that, I’m sure.” Lyall slid the box across the table. “I’ll offer to take us out for lunch.”

“You don’t have to—”

“It’s a good idea to put our best foot forward.”

“You mean to show them that I’m not a monster who will eat their only daughter?” 

“Remus, even if you weren’t—” Lyall shook his head. “Even if you weren’t infected, we’d still want to make a good first impression.”

I am dying to know where you got the idea for eitd!!! It's such an intriguing universe and I'm excited to learn more about it as the story continues.

Hi Harley! So I'm gonna answer this under the cut, just in case, but omg am I excited to talk about it. Potential spoilers for Even in the Dark below:

So the idea for Even in the Dark initially came from me really wanting to do a fic where Carlos was essentially a villain, but one that could be redeemed down the road. Once I got the idea that 'okay, Carlos is the villain, now what?' I had to build off of that. Fantasy books have always been my thing, whether it's when I was growing up reading, or now as an adult. I just love reading, and writing, things with fantasy elements in them, so I really wanted to find powers that I felt worked for the characters. And keep in mind, a lot of the LS characters haven't appeared yet but hopefully will later on. There's so much that I have planned out for this fic that I'm genuinely so excited for and wish I could talk more on, but I don't want to spoil too much, but for now I will talk a bit about how I came up with TK and Carlos's abilities as well.

Throughout LS TK, I feel, truly feels the weight of everything that's going on around him. He wears his heart on his shoulder, and just everything about him screamed 'empath' to me. I also kind of based his abilities off of Phoebe Halliwell's empath abilities from the show Charmed back from the early 2000's, which was one of my favorite shows.

For Carlos's abilities it was a little more complicated. I wanted to give him an ability that was tied to his emotions, and fire just sort of clicked for me, I guess? With him being seen as the villain, I really wanted him to have a strong offensive power that would potentially be used for some less than kind things, so fire in the end just felt like the right choice for him.

As far as the overarching plot point of TK being the last known empath and having been a slave most of his life, I really wanted TK to kind of be in a dark place when this fic started. Feral TK isn't something new to this fandom at all, but I wanted to give him a different reason other than 'I asked my boyfriend to marry me and it didn't end well.' This version of TK has been through it. He's been broken down again and again and he kind of knows that unless something changes, his life is going to continue on that path indefinitely, especially considering he's immortal.

There's a lot that will happen for these two in the future of this fic and honestly I'm excited to write it all out. And I know you probably didn't expect me to get all rambly about this, but truly this fic and this universe make me so so so happy and excited.

I'm really excited about the step-father au ending, I'm excited about my Grucy fics (one is already posted, it's called sugar butter flour, and the other is a sugar daddy fic I've been working on!), and I'm excited to delve into the next bit of the royals au :) I think the ending of the step-father au is appropriately unhinged and fun lol. The Grucy fics are just fun so I'm stoked to share it. And the royals au is shifting into this new phase and I'm so stoked to share!!!

💝what is a fic that got a different response than you were expecting?

So I sincerely didn't expect the prof au to get the response that it did! there weren't a lot (or any? idk) big age gap fics in the ship's tag before, and I really didn't know how people would respond. Especially because there was daddy kink and whatnot, it was just so different from the stuff that everyone seemed to like, but I just couldn't stop writing the fic and just felt this need to write it and tell this story. I didn't expect the response! I am so, so touched that folks enjoyed it. At most, I expected a handful of friends to read it lol. So yeah :)

Remus tucked himself under the duvet and rested his head against the pillow, his eyes ever fixed on hers. Tonks inched closer, hyper aware of his naked torso flush against her body. He felt safe and solid, and was firmer to the touch than the boys she’d touched before. 

“Is it all right if I kiss you again?” he asked, his warm breath tickling her nose. 

Tonks tilted her head up and felt his lips on hers again. His hand found its way to her back, holding her closer, as he moved his mouth against hers slowly, carefully, with the barest moans emerging from his lips. Tonks felt something hard against her hip—she knew instantly what it was—but was too scared to touch it, so she slid her hand up to Remus’s waist, holding him while he kissed her.

Tonks felt a familiar heat between her legs. She knew how to take care of herself, how to bring her own pleasure, and she wondered if Remus knew how to do that for a woman. Her mother warned her that he might not—that many men were known to be clueless—and if that were the case, there was no shame in bringing herself her own pleasure when she needed it. 

“Tonks,” Remus breathed, his hand sliding lower along her body, grazing close to the edge of her knickers, “I want you to enjoy this, if you can. Have you . . .” His fingertips danced along the waistband, his breath hitching as Tonks realized what he might be asking. 

“Have you felt this kind of pleasure before?” he asked softly. “Perhaps by yourself, or with someone else?”

“Yes,” she whispered, glad that the lights were low so he couldn’t see her cheeks redden. 

Remus exhaled as his fingers continued tracing a line along her knickers. “Would you let me try?”

“Try?”

“To make you feel good—” His hand glided back up her torso, skimming the swell of her breasts, and came up to hold her cheek. “You don’t have to say yes. I can try with my hand or my mouth—”

“Your mouth?” Tonks squeaked. No one had ever done that for her. 

“If that’s what you like, yes,” Remus continued gently. “I’ll do whatever you ask me to.”

🍥 What's your favorite fic you've written?

Bear with me as I turn into the biggest stuck record, but You Are My Soulmate again. It's been a really complex story to write and I have so much more of it that I have to give justice to. It's my favorite because it's the biggest challenge I've ever undertaken stylistically. Rooster and Tink have such drastically different voices, points of view and reactions that they challenge me every single time.

🍘 Is there a fic or idea for a fic that you've abandoned?

I was watching this TV show on Hulu, it was aired on ABC at first, called The Catch. It was about a cyber security specialist who falls in love with a con-man who steals all of her money and clears out her company's accounts iirc. What follows is her quest to chase him down and get restitution for her broken heart as well as taking down the organization he works for. I wanted to write a spy au for Top Gun with it, but I've since had way too many ideas and not enough time to write them. So this guy is sitting on the shelf and gathering dust until such time I can pull him out again.

Casster and Jango is a holiday fic for someone! It’s Cassus Fett/Jaster Mereel time travel co-“parents” and kind-of-enemies to lovers, with a force sensitive main cast because I have HEADCANONS damnit. Neither Cassus nor Jaster really trust each other but Cassus sees no problem with that in terms of them being in a relationship. Jaster does but he can’t help but be suspicious of Mister (gender neutral) Cassus “Orbital Bombardment” Fett.

Cassus travels forward in time in this one but I kind of also want to toss Jaster and Jango back in time to have to deal with UltiCass too.

Excerpt from one of my Bowuigi WIPs.

Rambles of his garden follow the pair down the path to the Mario Bros’ house, and as they get closer the human grabs the koopa’s hand. His excitement renders him oblivious to his company’s stunned reaction to the simple gesture. There is a small garden laid before the front door, it had been a project in Luigi’s spare time. Bowser notes that the stars in the shorter man’s eyes tell him that it’s his pride and joy far more than his words were currently trying to. It’s impossible for him to resist joining in on the plumber’s mirth. Teasing remarks are comfortably traded while Luigi shows Bowser his humble flower beds before moving to sit on the lawn.

It’ll be out soon as it’s a one-shot (still over 1,000). I need more of these two so I’m making very self-indulgent content. Hopefully you guys will like it too 👍

What kind of music do you listen to while writing?

Depends. If I'm doing the Killer and Healer rewrite, I mainly don't listen to music because I need to hear the emotions in the words. Words on the screen are fine and watched faces are fine...but sometimes you gotta hear how the words are said to make sure you're putting the right emotion into the words.

If it's anything else, I mainly listen to anything, unless I'm going for certain emotions in scenes. Like if I have a sad scene, sad song. Fight scene? Actiony-sounding song. Romantic scene? Love songs.

And sometimes I don't listen to any because sometimes the music distracts from what the words in my head are trying to say and I'm trying to hear them so I need absolute silence to make sure that what's in my head gets conveyed on the page

If I'm showing off one of your fics to someone, which one should I share?

Oh...lord. Okay. Well. Um...I have a lot. If you want them to specifically get into a fandom, I would just have you share a series with them. So I'll use my Killer and Healer series as an example. If you want them to read anything of mine, just send them this: 恨君不似江楼月 | Killer and Healer. All of my fics are good and unless they're looking for something specific, I'd just let them go nuts

I don't really have anything to rant about at the present moment...but I can drop an excerpt from my newest WIP: Things Aren't Always What They Seem (this excerpt is from the latest chapter I posted)

         “Why do you need a partner for this case, boss?  You usually work alone” he stated.  Jiang Yuelou hummed.

         “Commissioner Bai thought I should work with an omega, since our victim in this cold case is an omega” he explained.  Song Rong and Sun Yongren’s eyes widened, and they turned to look at Chen Yuzhi in surprise.

         “You’re an omega?” they asked.  Chen Yuzhi nodded.

         “Mm” he replied.  Sun Yongren then frowned.

         “But I don’t see a collar.  How can you be an omega and not wear a collar?” he asked, causing Song Rong to reach into the box of pastries and pull out a package before he opened it and took out the pastry, shoving it into his mouth.

         “Shut up, idiot” he hissed before he looked at Chen Yuzhi.

         “Sorry Mr. Chen” he apologized.  Chen Yuzhi smiled and shook his head.

         “No, no.  It’s alright.  Many people are quite confused by me” he explained, causing Jiang Yuelou to frown.

         “What do you mean?” he asked.  Chen Yuzhi smiled slightly.

         “Well…I don’t get heats.  Hence why I don’t wear a collar” he explained, motioning to his neck.  Jiang Yuelou, Song Rong, and Sun Yongren looked at him in shock.

         “You…what?” Jiang Yuelou breathed.  Chen Yuzhi chuckled.

         “So…I have the scent sensitivity of an omega and I have a scent but…I don’t have an oestrous period.  And heats/ruts don’t affect me.  In that sense I’m like a beta” he explained.  Song Rong looked at him curiously.

         “So…if an alpha was to suddenly go into a rut, you wouldn’t…react?” he asked.  Chen Yuzhi shook his head.

         “No.  It might make me nauseous because of the overwhelming pheromones, but I won’t want to jump him and have sex with him” he replied.  Sun Yongren hummed.

         “Well, you’re lucky then.  You won’t be a potential target for the new drug that’s been hitting all of these omegas recently” he stated.  Chen Yuzhi frowned.

         “Drug?” he repeated.  Jiang Yuelou nodded.

         “There’s an illegal pill going around that looks a lot like omegas’ heat suppressants.  It making omegas act…differently.  It’s still an ongoing case right now but…at we know that one omega won’t be affected by it” he mused.  Chen Yuzhi smirked slightly.

         “Lucky me, I guess” he murmured.

I made a spreadsheet for my fic WIPs. there's 61 of them. Little data validation for completion status and series dropdowns. Column with a short description so I don't have to keep opening my ambiguously named documents like which one is this again.

But now they're all listed out like this I can do fun stuff like "pick a number between 2 and 62 and I'll tell you about that fic"

or "pick a number between 2 and 62 to tell me to go actually work on that fic instead of just leaving it in the pile"

I should add a column for pairing so i can Compare how many of each I have.

Uuuuhhh... I have. I definitely have but now that you are asking, I don't remember any of them lol.

I'm not fan of Fake/pretended relationship, but I wouldn't say I can't stand it. It can be really cute, sure, but that can also be soooo irritating! Don't care much about Hallmark aus lol. Other than these, I really don't remember anything, and I can still read these. I guess I just like to consume mostly anything and everything lol xD
