Hey, hello! I’m new around here. I fell in love with the Daryl and Beth couple, and through them, I also discovered the story of Normily. However, English is not my native language, so I hope you can understand me.

Honestly, I don’t think Norman would be attracted to someone like Emily at first glance. I believe Norman loved the idea of Bethyl and found Emily incredibly sweet during the filming process. Along the way, they built a strong bond. Emily fell in love with Norman, which is totally understandable because Norman has such an aura that it’s impossible not to fall for him. But unfortunately, he’s quite flirtatious.

Norman is a touch addict and a flirt, in my opinion. However, he did form a real bond with Emily. But would he have had an official relationship with someone like Emily at that time? I don’t think so. Emily is like a Disney character—too naive, too young, too childlike for him. Norman, on the other hand, craves passion.

“I think Norman had a secret, romantic relationship with Emily, but it was like a high school crush—innocent and sincere. However, when Norman met DK, everything changed. DK gave him the passion he was seeking. If you look at DK’s posts from that time, you’ll see they were just as provocative as Norman’s. Norman was with DK, but he couldn’t let go of Emily. That’s why he kept his relationship with DK hidden from both the media and Emily. He only gave Emily uncertainty. I could tell this from the poems Emily wrote. Later, he made things official with DK. I can’t guess what inner struggles he went through, but once he put an end to that uncertainty, Emily unfollowed him, and I don’t think Norman was expecting that.

Emily giving up on fighting for Norman and rejecting his popularity to return to her own small world must have been surprising for Norman because Norman Reedus is a brand, and no matter what, women always fight for him. That’s why I’m proud of Emily for protecting herself and distancing herself from him.

Emily stopped writing poetry and ignored Norman. She didn’t respond to any communication. I think Norman realized Emily’s worth only after losing her because he kept interacting with Bethyl and Emily-related content. Even secretly listening to Emily’s podcast is proof that he missed her.

Even now, I think Norman wants to communicate with Emily. Believing that his post about the hummingbird isn’t related to Emily seems utterly absurd. However, whether this is love or not, I can’t say. For Emily, everything is in the past now. No matter what we call it, I love this duo.

This is actually so observant and well thought out, I can’t help but agree. Makes perfect sense tbh and I resonate with every sentiment made.

“Mu Qing is too logical for his own good” is such a real problem that he deals with and as tragic as it makes his life I also think it’s really funny when someone is accusing him of something and instead of telling them to shut up or leave him alone the first thing he does is pull out the 95 fucking theses detailing every single thing wrong with their argument WITH historical evidence and additional considerations from scholarly psychology articles, MLA format works cited and completely annotated. i originally was sorta happy in a bittersweet way cause i thought, well at least marcille has company, they have eachother to lean on now!

...but then i realized marcille isnt immortal. shes gonna live LONG, but shes not immortal. AND I GOT SO EXTREMELY SAD

can you imagine, trying to convince your friend not to extend everyones lifespans to a scarily long degree. and then having to help her deal with that fear and grief of losing her loved ones. AND THEN REALIZING YOURE IMMORTAL AND OUTLIVING ALL OF YOUR LOVED ONES INCLUDING HER. imagine being marcille as she gets older watching laios experience the same exact fear and grief she knows so well and knowing she cant do anything other than reassure him itll be alright. imagine being so scared to die and now suddenly you know someone who CANT die and realizing thats SO MUCH WORSE paces in circles. AAAAAAUGH

additional thought of this au, what if this was part of the demons curse to never allow laios' greatest desire to be granted? i mean laios is a very simple guy with simple wants, he wants to be loved, to eat good food, to study monsters, to be around his friends, and generally just live a normal life. being immortal would definitely complicate things... he'll be able to see and experience so many things but he wont be able to do it with his loved ones, not for long.

and also, being king, he'd probably be in that position for a long long time - maybe he'd willingly retire at some point but even after that where would he go then? what would he do? he cant go and find monsters to study, they all avoid him. i guess, explore the rest of the world? watch everything move on without him?

speaking of, imagine if he lived up until a time like modern day. so many years so many friends (gained and lost) and so many changes... that would be insane. THIS IS SPIRALLING INTO ME JUST GOING "WOULDNT IT BE FUCKED UP TO BE IMMORTAL" AJDNSJXBAH

Do Cadence or Twilight ever regret not being able to gift Shining Armor with ascension like them or are they happy he was able to live out his normal life without becoming a god?

Not everyone is mentally suited to immortality. And this time, they actually asked first instead of doing an immortality jumpscare.

Cadance and Twilight didn't get a choice. Ascension was thrust upon them by Celestia. They had to come to terms with it after the fact, realizing they would outlive all their friends and have the responsibility of an entire force of nature in their hooves. They would watch countries rise and fall, see extinctions and new ways of living. Strange technology and customs, and slowly feel their life elongating until it was beyond mortal comprehension. An alicorn has to be ok with this. And alicorn should want this. It's a gift as much as a curse.

Shining Armor cares about the ponies in his life. He knows they will miss him, he will miss them as well. But he wants to stay among his friends, his parents, and his kingdom.

Shining armor said no. He said I have served Equestria my entire life, and one day I will rest.

His family is made of immortal mares. They could force it upon him to ease their own hearts, to prevent their own grief... But they won't. Love and friendship know more about being a person than the Sun.

It is his choice. He will not be the God Prince of Protection. He will simply be Shining Armor, and consider his life well lived.

I love the idea that, whenever a Cybertronian space-faring vessel lands or docks within a predominantly non-Cybertronian space station or port, that it's required that they either confirm or deny whether their vessel is sentient or not before being permitted to land.

1. For proper accommodation and clarification, along with the chance for communication between the vessel and crews working the station/port.

This is from October 2024 but sadly is so true. I’m also a part time Donnie shipper and it kinda breaks my heart when I see them side with the Caryl shippers just to dog on us, as if we are any form of competition.

hey guys, so i saw this photo of edwin and it means that i get to talk about historical fashion.

ok i dunno if you can see very well, but ya know how at the top of his shirt theres a little gold thing. that isnt a top button. its a collar stud (or at least i think thats what theyre called)

in the 1910s and maybe the 1920s, shirts were a little bit different. for the most part it looks the same way a modern shirt would. however, when you buy it, theres no collar.

it simply just ends with a bit of fabric with two holes in it. then you would buy a collar seperately and attatch it on with some kind of stud, in this picture you can kind of see where the two ends have been overlapped to attatch it

heres a closer look at his collar ^

also you cant actually see it in pretty much any of the scenes because his bowtie is covering the overlap and the stud, this is the first picture ive found where you can clearly see whats going on

heres an example of a shirt without the collar, i dont know who's photo this is but if i find out or if anyone can tell me i'll change this to credit them.

even in the scene where he has his top button undone, if you look closely the collar is just tucked into the top of the shirt.(im struggling to find a photo, i’ll come back when i have)
