This is a super hard question because there’s so so so much good content as far as fanfiction and just asdfghjkl it’s tough to limit it to just a few SO I will do a top 5 bc I have no self control

1) Method to Madness by @fraugwinska: one of my very first Hazbin reader fics by my very dear friend Frau, this fic is absolutely beautiful and just continues to get better! Everyone is characterized so so so well, the premise and execution constantly has me on the edge of my seat, the smut scenes are phenomenal, and Frau writes Alastor so perfectly 🤌 everything by her is wonderful, she is truly one of my favorite writers for this fandom as well as being a very good friend, but this fic in particular has a special place in my heart 💕

2) The Lookalike by @impale-me-radio-daddy: this fic did things to me. I think I've shared every chapter of it as it was posted but in case I wasn't clear, it's fucking amazing. The banter, the reader character, the smut scenes- perfection. All of it. I rest my case 📺📻 (pst they are also working on a new RadioStatic fic that has lots of fun dream shenanigans, keep an eye out 👀)

3) Bluest Monday/Say Hello, Wave Goodbye by @bapple117: I was not a RadioStatic girl before Bluest Monday but the way Bapple writes these two together is crack. The slow exploration of their relationship and how it changed from what was originally intended is gorgeous. I cried, I have no shame about it. And the continuation of everything in Say Hello, Wave Goodbye has been going wonderfully and I can't wait to see where everything goes 🩵❤️

4) What’s Your Frequency, Baby? by @elleinmotion: my first real Vox fic and the one that got me down bad for our favorite Samsung 😍 the way that they write him is just asdfh so delicious, in literally every way, the reader character is also an absolute babe with so much depth and I'm so so so in love with the story, especially now that Alastor is involved as well 👀 I want to somehow bake this fic into a lasagna and eat it

5) Scratch an Itch by @jurijyuu: another one of my first reader fics! The premise of this one was a little more gorey than I would normally get into (antler shedding and unknowing cannibalism, anyone?) but I'm so glad I took a chance with it because its SO GOOD and just like the rest, it just continues to get better 🦌 another dear friend and super talented writer that this fandom has brought to me 💗

1.artifact creation with ability to choose substats is insane, i love it. we need another genshin killer to start up, so next time we can get artifact loadouts too

2.the chance to win 5 star is now 55% instead of 50%, which like.. good? but idk how impactful that 5% is tbh

3.obv fate points going from 2 to 1 on weapon banner is great, much less of a scam banner now

i'm sorry to bother you, i just came across your blog and i'm so shocked with how amazing your sims look. i play sims 3 but my sims look pretty average and my screenshots don't look great, can you please if it's possible explain how your sims look so beautiful like this? (specifically this post hiddenspriings/742135415348330496) like, how do your sims look that good? is that a default skin? and how do they have those shadows on their faces etc, is that editing or reshade? can you please explain deeply? i'm sorry i'm asking for many things, i'm just a noob and i really get confused looking at these beautiful posts wondering how to make my sims look cool like that too!!

I don't even know where to start asdfghjkl 😅 developing a sim style is honestly a journey and when I joined simblr my sims looked like potatoes too, it takes time and effort to actively work on that 'skill' if I might call it that. With that often comes the dissatisfaction of your progress and how your sims look, and sometimes you just have to stop yourself and enjoy the ride, without looking around at what others are doing. Anyways, into actual 'tips':

I think you need to figure out where you stand when it comes to cc (it's not really a need but it's gonna help I guess). I like the look of very simple maxis match skins (I have those linked on my resources page) and very often alpha makeup cc layered on top. I personally don't really like how alpha skins look like on my sims (they usually have much more depth to them but since I’m not into that I can’t recommend anything) so everything you see on them - highlights, blushes, shadows etc. is just makeup cc. For those I recommend: blushes 1 2 3 4 shadows & highlights 1(!) 2(!) 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 (+ tifa’s stuff here). Add them on top of each other and bam! suddenly your sim isn’t so flat faced anymore (little note here, I often use ‘blushes’ as shadows as well depending on their placement ;)

If you are interested in what I personally use as defaults check my resources page. I also have all the skins and eyes cc I use linked there. My advice would be to also check other simblrs’ resources as well, there are some well hidden gems there that otherwise I wouldn’t be able to find on my own. 

But If you are new to sims 3 you might ask: hey, how do you layer cc if you can only apply one for the category in cas? Well...Get yourself nraas master controller if you haven't already. With that mod you can increase the number of sliders which give you freedom of creating more diverse looking sims and assign multiple makeup per location. I won't explain how to do it here as there are multiple guides online, just google your question :) - I even saw great guides on youtube! It might seem like a lot at first but believe me, nraas along with its many modules will save you a lot of time and hussle. 

Lastly, part of the posting process here on simblr is editing and I cannot lie that my sims don’t benefit on that. I use reshade with mxao which enhance colors and shadows (check my f.a.q page for links) and smooth out pictures further with photoshop tools. 

Now I’m gonna expose myself a little, this is from left to right: the oldest sim in my folder currently (I’d say this is my late 2022 style), my newest sim and my newest sim with reshade on (but no further editing).

It’s a shame I don’t have access to my very first sims in sims 3 to really compare them but I think even here you can see the difference. So do not get discouraged, it will take a time and dedication like any other hobby but you’ll get where you want to be eventually :)

You can tell that whoever was responsible for writing Ninjargon for this board just decided to keyboard smash whole lines of keys directly from how they're placed on a keyboard lmao. Which does also appear again on a computer in the Security room

The purple numbers were actually pretty difficult to notice. To the point where I didn't even see them until at least 10 minutes after I translated the blue numbers (I went off to unload the dishwasher).

Also, with the second line of numbers, they started at a random number for some reason? But then the third chain follows that sequence. So I'm not entirely sure what was going on there.

Curious about the lc musical cast heights? No? Well here's a very questionable ranking of the CXS and LG actor from tol to avereg to shmol.

(I swear it was a joke, but then @sgdlr-asdfghjkl took it seriously, and then I took it even more seriously, and now here we are)

Disclaimer! I have no ill intent in making this ranking, all the actors are great. I was just presented with a challenge I can't deny. Also, once again reiterating that these are very QUESTIONABLE.

Take note that most of these were done before February 16, so it's mostly using information/clips prior to the new year's break.

So the first thing I did was made this bipartite graph to show which actors have been paired with who. (Ignore the color-coding, it was for an abandoned plan. Also, pre 16/02)

Cheng Xiaoshi actors on the left and Lu Guang actors on the right.

One thing you might notice, is that some actors have been paired with more actors than others. Such as SRB who have been paired with 4 LG actors, thus I will use him as my initial point of reference.

(If anyone asks, why not DGY with 5 pairs? That's only 56% of the CXS actors, meanwhile SRB got 80% of the LG actors. Also, I have a lot of easy to access SRB clips.)

Then I carefully overlay multiple screenshots of SRB with LG actors to rank them, adding both a DGY-DXC duo and a ZHB-DXC duo so I can finish ranking the LG actors.

Here's an example, comparison of WMH and DGY referenced to SRB.

Next is probably the most accurate and logical part. You know those old math puzzles where you go: A<B, and B<C, that means A<C? Yeah, I did that but with 14 variables (the actors) and 18 conditional statements (the pairings).

If you want to try it out yourself, here you go. Have fun! (again, pre 16/02)

With these, I can roughly guess most of their ranking. Then I use more overlaying photos on top of another to complete and get the ranking you see up top.

That said, let me highlight some problems I faced.

I tried my best, but keep in mind camera angles, video quality, actors' postures, shoes/sole thickness, fluffy hair. This is why the overlaying method is unreliable and this ranking is questionable.

I considered using the photo wall (the one with the donghua shiguang scene, that separated the back and the front studio set) as a point of reference, but I can't determined how far away each actor stood from it.

So i mostly took reference from the final part of 'Guiding Light' where they stood in a line or when theyre standing on the table (rock paper scissors and that song's ending)

Contrary to what it might seem, I didn't use much effort doing this legit (Could've literally asked any Chinese fan for help finding their height but I didn't). So yeah another reminder. THIS IS QUESTIONABLE AND UNRELIABLE.

That said, WMH is apparently 188cm tall (lol he's so tall and cool, he intimidates me)

CMZ, WYF, and JYQ is a problem because they've only been paired with the shortest LGs and they're all taller than that LG. Without overlaying, literally could be anywhere from rank 11 up. Even then I only have 1 reference point, ZHB.

Thank god for 16/02/2024 (very fun, they mix well) performance between WYF and DGY.

CQ originally have this problem too but he performed with WYH on 17/02/2024 (very good perf, will be on my next list) so that helped a lot.

JXK too have only ever performed with GHX which means when I have to compare him to WMH and TCP, the shortest path is 3/4 long, which makes the overlaying even more unreliable.

So yeah, it was really unreliable compared to me ranking all the LG to SRB, who's shortest path is only 2 (3 for ZHB)

ZHB and DGY is really close in height, I have to compare both of them to both DXC and CMZ to find who's shorter.

DXC and WYH have the same problem too, so I watched a lot of their clips from multiple angles to find who's taller.

I can't believe you argued DXC is shmoler than SRB, even BZM is smoller.

That said; WYH, DXC, BZM, CMZ are all so close in height it could very much be interchangeable.

Same with WMH and JXK.

For the love of god, JYQ is a PROBLEM. There's barely any performances much less clips of him so it's hard to find one that fits my requirements (Which is a shame, I like his voice and he's cute. Thank god he post on weibo often). In the end, I have to eyeball it so feel free to question his ranking even more so than the others.

The top 4 (top 6 even) is really easy though, they really are just that tall and easy to rank.

There's a very clear, undeniable, drop in height between rank 3-5, JXK and GHX, as well as between rank 6-7, CQ and WYH.

I know there's a lot of CXS actors in the bottom half but I think if you average them, LG is still shorter bcs WMH is a frickin outlier and the others are average.

Anyway, that concludes this (I swear, I'm very sane) post.

OKAY OKAY OKAY HI SARAH NOW THAT I CAN PROPERLY SIT AT MY PC

You see this girl? This girl right here? This is my fucking daughter. I am plucking her out of the game and we're going to go on so many fun little adventures together. Gracia also happens to be one of my favorite characters to play as across the games! I've always enjoyed the magical aspect of her weapon and how it takes some serious skill to get good at crowd-control combat with her outside of hyper attacks. My first game for Samurai Warriors was her introduction game, actually! Which was Samurai Warriors 2: XL! So I ended up getting a soft spot for Magoichi as well since he was the supporting lead in her story for that game. They had such a cute almost father-daughter relationship and whenever it gets a nod in the newer games it makes me smile all goofy. I also really identified with her when I was younger with her wanderlust and want to learn more about the world! I would also kill to cosplay as her one day because that's legit my dream aesthetic.

Out of the games though, I have the most hours sunk into the 3DS games (the first one being based on 3 and the second one being based on 4)! While they aren't the best versions of the game to play graphics and speed-wise, they were still super super fun and I frickin LOVED how the developers made sure each character got their own little story line events with the MC (which was basically just an edit mode character) and side stories! Like those games are LONG. But I enjoy them very very much and it was great to be able to play one of my favorite series of games on the go.

As for other characters I like to play? Takatora and Masamune are SUPER fun. I'm also a sucker for Kiyomasa, Masanori, and Mitsunari because they're all super fun to play too. Oh! And Nene! Love the ninjas in general. Lady No is also pretty fun. And I use Naotora's weapon on one of my edit mode characters in Samurai Warriors 4 Empires (Koei I am begging please bring 4 Empires to PC so I don't have to dig my PS3 out every time I want to play it). Honestly I could go on and on with the list! I find almost everyone very fun to play as (with an exception of Kanbei, I like him as a character but his moveset leaves a lot to be desired for me).

favorite thing about them

Counter-intuitive, but I know my past self (including the era when V3 came out) would have hated Kokichi for the same reasons I like him now. Mainly:

I really did go into V3 expecting to loathe Kokichi as a nuisance at best; I’d been spoiled on Ch. 4  before getting into DR because I thought ‘my aim sucks I won’t play it anyway’  and, loving bees and assorted bugs as I do, I figured Gonta would be my favorite. And I mean, he’s up there, but this little shit. How dare he be an engaging character.

Unsure where I said it previously, but Kokichi seems like the kind of guy who would run a How to Beat [X Movie] channel out of earnest (admit so or not) love for the thought experiment of it all, which isn’t just relatable, but a very interesting Type of Guy to have in your killing game scenario. The one constantly pushing the boundaries, but not quite meta-level aware they’re in a video game; genre-savvy and trying to Actually Accomplish Something Constructive. He also goes about it in such a way that launches a couple malatovs at every bridge he has, which, having been anxious and overly rejection-sensitive in high school, is fucking wild to me. You are going about this in the worst way you could, on purpose, and that is fascinating. Mentally I am putting him in a microscope slide because What Is Your Deal

Plus, the way he constantly has some kind of front up to a point where Saihara can’t decide who he really is by the end of Ch. 5… hmm chameleon complex? I find it quite simple, really. Unclear to me if they meant to make him Like This but doubling down on constant over-performance of social signals because communicating frustrates you and it lets you feel some small degree of control in your life is (in my experience at least) very autistic of him and as a result hearing the whole V3 cast consider him entirely indecipherable down to the bitter end… oof ouch real anxieties? 

least favorite thing about them

A) Some of the iconography they chose for his talent. Which I’m pretty sure they pretty much ditched outside promos? So B) Some of his art in the wake of Ch. 4 is… wonky, but not in a way that looks fully deliberate? It undercuts the drama for me a bit. I think Kokichi seems much more menacing when he drops pretenses entirely and just goes blank instead of trying Very Hard to act out a particular emotion (like he does pretty much all the time). Instead of the demon face, something more like this?

Including but not limited to saying 'screw uniforms' and seeing how long it takes him to get in trouble with HPA for wearing different clothes every day. After long enough unchallenged he starts getting his classmates to do it too. Considering... their entire circumstances in TAPP, they get away with a lot more than the other classes

Is it unpopular to say that some of the info from Kokichi’s FTEs should have been in the main plot? The knife game scene, besides being my favorite, seriously clues the player into what he’s like beyond the artifice without having to posthumously dump that exposition in his room, and that a lot of players confused by him are likely to miss out on characterization that would clarify things Irks Me.

Some personal rants related to the latest VNC manga chapters (~60)

It's chapter 55(.5) when Vanitas and Noe officially made up with each other, where the anime ended.

Astolfo's backstory was handled in ch 58 & 59.

The latest chapter was the 60th.

It's been only like 5 chapters or so since ch 55(.5), and most of them were pretty short.

We're JUST moving on from the Amusement Park arc NOW, and the new arc barely started. It's still the beginning part, with some old & new characters (re)appearing.

I do remember that some people expected chasseurs to show up in the Amusement Park; to join the ongoing fights (which did not happen in the end), or to investigate the remaining mess after the whole fights ended. (Both are fine guesses, obviously)

But now I see some arguments that MJ-sensei made an "awkward" writing choice to "suddenly" talk about chasseurs... I don't know what to feel, even if they might not be the same people XD

Both chasseur AND bourreau were already brought up in the chapter 1. Jeanne was a bourreau, and MJ-sensei has showed quite a lot of what bourreau is like, especially in the Gévaudan arc. Maybe MJ-sensei thinks it's time to expand chasseur more now - through Astolfo, Roland, Olivier, Gano, etc. Not to mention the main protagonist Vanitas used to be in chasseur himself.

There're 12 captains of the chasseurs, almost the half are still unknown to us XD You're of course free to be not interested in chasseurs or even dislike them, but it's NOT like MJ-sensei pulled them "out of the blue (uwu)".

When ch 58 / 59 was out, mainly covering Astolfo and Roland - some people got (genuinely) angry and insisted that MJ-sensei is avoiding Noe / Domi / Jeanne / Vani interactions, not caring about her main characters, not able to handle her own plot anymore, etc. (Actually, even before ch 58...) And then ch 60 showed the 4 forming some sweet bonds lol They really couldn't wait...for a few chapters...

In fact, 1) some still complain why the chasseurs' backstory had to happen before the 4 interactions. Or, 2) some find the current plot "problematic" because things are going too good and well for the 4 now, NOT doomed / tragic enough asdfghjkl

For the former 1) - the story is NOT only about the 4 and chasseurs. Shapeless One and the Archiviste girl are related to the protagonist Noe each, and they'll get involved in this arc, too. I believe that's why MJ-sensei "mixed" everything and everyone together; letting the two introduce chasseurs' backstory, while also showing some traits and situations of them (ex. something is not right with Shapeless One / the girl is indeed an Archiviste).

To add more (angst uwu), chasseurs might try to come after Vanitas and/or Noe for the entire mess caused by Misha and Shapeless One: the attacked victims and the ruined amusement park :'))) (Vani/Noe fight did destroy the park, too, yeah, but Misha caused their fight as well) Jeanne explicitly told Domi to be careful for a while, even if Domi was just Misha's victim and did nothing wrong :')))))

For the latter 2) - again, it's been like only 5 (mostly short) chapters since the Amusement Park arc got wrapped up... Not even 1 day has passed since Misha left on the rooftop in VNC current timeline, plz XDD Also, why do they carelessly assume things will stay happy and lucky for the 4?? :'))) (even putting "whether things are truly good" aside, oops XD) For example, like above, chasseurs might bring some new chaotic hell to the 4 in the upcoming arc :'))))) Anyway, ch 60 is in the 11th volume (of 25 or so in total), the story won't end anytime soon, I promise XD

In addition, I'm pretty sure VNC has never been 100% only unhappy hopeless despair torture 24/7? I wonder if they got mad, too, when both Chloe and JJ survived AND talked things out AND got cured AND ran away together quite "successfully" at the end of the Gévaudan arc lol While I'm surely happy both have managed to not get caught so far...I'm still aware that nothing guarantees a forever happy ending for the two, oops :'))) So, I really don't understand why those people cannot stand SOME positive MOMENTS for the 4 in 1 chapter or so that much XD even judging the author for it asdfghjkl as if it's utter impossible for the 4 to go any wrong from now on, ooops! :')))))

IDK I feel some people should seriously try to read the manga volume by volume (at least, multiple chapters at once) - NOT chapter by chapter. So that they could take the flow better and actually enjoy the story as it is. Rather than feeling "betrayed" by the "bits" and making (false) accusations against MJ-sensei all the time. They need to chill a little in general and maybe have a good sleep asap XD

To be fair, I do know the breaks have been so long, while the recent chapters have been quite slow and short... All this might've played some part for them to be more sensitive and impatient, perhaps ^^;;

I sure hope we'd get a new chapter this month, hopefully a long one!

38. 17/02/2024, Cai Qi being a menace at rock paper scissors, Cai Lu being a menace on the sofa (+dog hat), and Wu Yihan being a menace to Hong Guo and they struggle to hold hands?? during curtain call. Also I don't understand why does Wu Yihan look so tiny next to Cai Qi, like? I never thought he was smol before this??

40. 16/02/2024, Let me give you the loudest QL slap you'll ever heard courtesy of Wu Hanglu and Wang Yifei's shoulders. Also, behavior wise Du Guangyi maybe the least LG-like LG actor but god do I like his humor (pls he jumped up the table like a pocong lol, and the way he jump kicked Wang Yifei? He's a Gem.).

(Honestly, I think I can make a whole other list just full of the shit Du Guangyi pulls. He's very mischievous but also giving grandpa. But I won't because @shimmeringweeds is working on a gifset of it <3 Goodluck!!)

45. 22/02/2024, You have to watch this one. You have Du Guangyi being the comedic genius that he is, cocky speech, dramatic pause, Lu Guang rizz, pathetic crying, failed confetti. You get the best Wang Yifei outfit, also he's skipping around the stage. And Qian Anqi can't help but laugh too!

46. 23/01/2024, We got "Faith of Friendship" (M05). Teng Chunpeng and Du Guangyi gotta do pushups if they fail to land a shot, and the ending is hilarious, do give it a watch.

47. 24/02/2024 night, actor/role swap stage! Wu Yihan played CXS, Deng Xianling played LG, and Ding Xingchen played QL. Wu Yihan was definitely having fun howling here. Also, disastrous cast introduction by Ding Xingchen lol.

48. 25/02/2024 day, the actors are the right way around this time with Guo Hongxu, Ji Xiaokun, and Cai Lu. But they're all using different local dialect! You can even see Cai Lu cheats and read from her phone.

49. 25/02/2024 night, "As The Saying Goes" (M08), where mother and son have a quarrel. Cai Qi as CX gets scolded x4 by the rest of the cast as CX's mama. Yes, that includes Wang Minhui putting him in timeout. But there's more!

50. 25/02/2024 night, a very important fancam on the performance above. It's shaky but pls pay close attention to Zhang Jiahao, should be easy, the fancam is focused on him. the wig, the very real fried chicken (i thought it was a fake, it wasn't), he was munching the entire time, and the chair, thank you very much sir. You can even see him offering a bite and getting scolded by Deng Xianling.

okay first up is spiderverse repetition

like holy crap the amount of things that happened again

the reptition is super comedic and i love it so much

in astv, somebody says, "I think it's a Banksy" to the paper vulture dude and the glitching, and in istv, the first one, someone says the exact same thing to the lamppost glitching because of the collider being activated

the "lets do this one last time" thing + the multiple comic books

also the shoulder touch thing is hilarious
