Could I request Vanitas getting sleepy and laying on his lover's lap as they pat his head?

“You look like hell.”

“Thanks. I put on this outfit just for you.” Vanitas clipped. More snappy than usual.

“When was the last time you got some sleep?”

Vanitas is pretty sure that, if you have to think about it, it’s been too long. “Why don’t you get some rest?” [Y/N] suggested.

“You make it sound so easy.” He clipped. Like he hadn’t thought of that on his own. Like he hadn’t tried.

“For most people it is, but for others they need a little more help.” Vanitas turned as he heard movement near him and saw [Y/N] reposition themselves on the bed to sit comfortably, patting their lap. “Lay down here.”

“You can’t be serious.” Vanitas hissed. “I’m not a child.”

“I never said you were.” [Y/N] replied calmly. Annoyingly calm in the face of his annoyance. “But it might help. Just try it.”

Vanitas must be tired, because he was too tired to even argue. Humoring them seemed like the easiest way to get this conversation over with, so he went over to the bed and flopped down in their lap. “This is ridiculous.”

“I know.” [Y/N] told him. Silence quickly following as they start to pet his head.

At first, Vanitas resisted. More out of spite than anything. Then, as the pets continued, the rhymic combing through his hair caused him to relax. There is a memory, deep in his mind, deep in his past, that bubbled to the surface of his happening before. He felt safe, warm, comforted. All things he had not felt probably since that long forgotten memory.

Soon enough, Vanitas had fallen asleep. A sleep of those mentally and physically exhausted. One that not even bombs could wake them up. When he woke up, they don’t talk about what happened. But [Y/N] did make a comment on how well rested he looked now, and Vanitas blushed.
