7. Any worldbuilding you’re particularly proud of?

In some ATLA stuff I've been working on, I've been enjoying adding some more West Asia to things. There's not a lot of West Asian/North African influence on the show, but it's there (particularly with the Sand Benders) and I think it's fun to explore and add some more nuance to! Particularly because in both shows the Sand Benders are not really...presented with any nuance.

So I've been having fun adding more West Asia to the Earth Kingdom, particularly foods and different little cultural things here and there to bring more of that influence in! Especially because I think large parts of the fandom don't realize like...that this stuff is already in the show, that West Asia is part of Asia, and perhaps we would like to be presented as a little more then 'those horrible evil irredeemable desert people who stole Appa'.

46. Do you prefer writing on your phone or on a computer (or something else)? Do you think where you write affects the way you write?

I'm really really bad at typing on my phone (like can barely make it through a word without one typo at least bad) so I use my computer most of the time. I have also been extremely won over by Scrivener as it fits in perfectly with my typical writing process that I've had since I first started writing on the computer in like...middle school.

With art and writing I tend to start many projects at once and jump rapidly between them. Either due to not wanting to write a certain part, feeling like writing a certain mood or ship or character, or feeling a sudden burst of inspiration for something. So Scrivener definitely enables me to write this way due to how it's set up for you to write different things in sections and flip between them easily. All of my one shots are in one document and I just file through them accordingly. If a one shot gets too big though, I make it's own document for ease of editing and flipping between parts! If I didn't write on my computer I definitely wouldn't do this, it'd be a lot more work I think.

However I do sometimes write on my phone, mostly exclusively if I'm away from my computer and have an idea I NEED to get down. Ironically, sometimes this is some of my most fun stuff, probably because it's the type of writing that I just need to get out and that stuff is always the coolest I think.

okay so this one was hard but honestly, for both of them, i think its queerness. ive realized that i do this and it absolutely fits them too. like if there are indicators that any stranger is queer they will instantly like them a little more than anyone else in the room. besides that though asdfghjk if any stranger has cool fashion, whether that be jewelry, a shirt, etc. theyll usually take note of that just bc its something theyre interested in

Who would they quote?

neither of them are really big on the shitty inspirational quotes, so realistically in the day-to-day itd be random tv show characters, lyrics, or comedians. and for bryce he also adds in random tiktoks that stick in his head. for jensen i assume he, like me, quotes john mulaney at least a few times a week, usually w "thats the same joke twice" and various other things (ik hes controversial but that man has cured multiple depressive episodes for me so i gotta take it where i can get it). for bryce i absolutely think he does the crazy? i was crazy once bit whenever the opportunity presents itself.

What could make them change their mind?

pftt each other? but anyway lol jensen is a facts and evidence person. he doesnt do as well when emotions are in the mix, and if theres undeniable, untampered evidence, that would change his mind pretty easily. though, there are people he has soft spots for. bryce, of course, but also people like liyah and his mom (especially his mom). hed be willing to throw evidence and facts to the wayside for them if he really needed to (again, his mom)

bryce is a little harder to convince. hes not stubborn, at least not as stubborn as jensen, but he would rather stick by the sides of people he knows and cares about than look at the facts (if they go against them). convincing him to change his mind is definitely the way to go, but it has to be from someone he trusts without a doubt

What are their guilty pleasures?

oh this one is hard. i think jensen is a really bad doom scroller. it tends to start with him looking into news or something hes interested in for a quick second, but it very quickly turns into an hour or more of just the worst shit imaginable, and a lot of the time its shit that can and/or will trigger his ocd

and bryce watches bluey. thats it.

okay i could say the obvious "dont be a pos person" shit but we all know that so heres some fun ones

jensens is wearing outside shoes in the house. if you wear outside shoes in his house you WILL be cleaning it up. he thinks its gross and rude and if he convinces himself youve brought in a disease that will kill him then thats totally unrelated to his ocd. he is happy to provide socks or youre more than welcome to leave a pair of inside shoes there, but dont wear your outside shoes into his house

bryce has a deep-seated dislike for anything that comes in the color yellow. he does not own one thing with yellow on it. he doesnt know why either, but if its in yellow, its almost a guarantee that will not like it

I'm actually really confused about the whole dreamwidth cause i'm new to this like I followed all the rules and the sent the request to join the community but how will I know that the request was accepted and how can I read the fics. The page where you have written all the rules at the bottom there were a few symbols including left and right arrow? so I clicked it and fics started to show does that mean I have joined or asdfghjk I'm sry i'm just really lost. should i just google it??

Hi Anon, I think it would help a bit if I explain that the Dreamwidth (and LiveJournal) platforms were created as blogging and journal platforms wayyyyy back in the late ‘90s, early 2000s. Expect posts to show up in chronological order. :) If you’re logged into DreamWidth, on your own journal, and if you click the “Reading” link in the navigation pane, it should take you to a list of all the posts your friends (and communities) have made.

But how do you know if you’re seeing what you’re supposed to see in terms of the community content?

If you log in to DreamWidth and go to the darkficcollections landing page (https://darkficcollections.dreamwidth.org/), you should see a pinned post (”STICKY: PLEASE READ”) from co-mod @roadkill2580 at the top of the page. That post is visible to everyone, I think, whether they’re a member of the darkficcollections (DFC) community or not. If you can see *another* post below that (”Updated Masterpost of all Creators!”), then you’re definitely an approved member of the community and have access to all the fics. Only mod @roadkill2580 is able to add tags to posts (where we’d originally planned to tag creator, pairing, rating, etc.), and she’s super busy, so I create and update the master posts every so often to make it easier to find all the fics posted in the community. ☆ Jin ☆

Sagittarius Ascendant

-> Libra MC, Chart Ruler Jupiter in Libra in the 10th conjunct his MC. Known to be charismatic, big personality, big on flexing with his looks, known for his looks, jokster, just really charistmatic in his own, quirky way. Also I think he has Sun in the 12th, but possibly still conjunct his Ascendant, possibly North Node in Sagittarius in the 1st/conjunct Ascendant. He just appears very Sagittarius in his essence to me, almost like a picture-book Sagittarius. I would argue his Aries Moon is in the 3rd, because he's an impulsive and fast talker, especially if he gets heated. Together with his possible Sun position it adds to him being loud and dramatic. Jupiter and Sun in touch with his angles add to having a bigger ego, adding his Fire Sun and Moon to the mix, as well as Aries in the 4th. Bts kinda confirms all the time that he has quiet the 'healthy' ego asdfghl. Has Neptune and Uranus both in Capricorn in the 1st, can be an indicator for the condition he has with his fingers (particularly the bones of his fingers). Uranus and Neptune in the 1st conjunct Venus in Capricorn in the 2nd: recognizable looks, has a distinguished look to him. Another example would be his longer neck, with Sagittarius as the Ascendant already being an indicator for stretched/enlarged limps/body parts. Pluto conjunct Mercury in Scorpio, plus Mars in Cancer in the 8th would add to him being secretive and guarded about his emotions/personal perceptions, very concerned about privacy. Also adds to another layer of him, Jin appears to be the most private member of BTS, he's very much comfortable with with sticking to the 'role' he embodies. (Also his Jupiter conjunct MC might explain why he has this almost cult like following asdfghj if you know Jin biased people you understand)

☆ Suga ☆

Capricorn Ascendant

-> Suga's Ascendant is a bit easier to determine for me, because of his Moon sign. I firmly believe he is a Virgo Moon and this already teightens the time frame. I say Capricorn Ascendant because he to me appears to embody this look and vibe of a thousand yers old and yet extremely youthful/sensitive. Either a Libra or Scorpio MC (tending towards Libra though), but Saturn would be in the 2nd house, not the 1st. I don't want to go into detail with this analysis because of many sensitive topics, but regarding Suga's upbringing the Saturn inconjunction to his Virgo Moon in the 8th house could be an indicator of the circumstances (2nd-8th house axis), with Aries IC underlining those circumstances. This specific Saturn-Moon aspect generally point to a stoic nature, developing strong work ethics (possibly due to fighting for material as well as emotional consistency and clearancy).

☆ J-Hope ☆

Sagittarius Ascendant

-> 1st to 2nd decan Sagittarius Rising I think so far, with a Virgo MC. Would have a Pisces stellium in the 3rd, but his Sun would be in the 3rd as well. Perfect mixture of animated, upbeat and quirly (he also would have his Taurus Moon in thr 5th house, so that would definitely add to it) yet mentally drained in a way. I also think about his rap style a lot here! J-Hope is extremly flowy, would make sense with a Pisces Mercury in the 3rd house conjunct his Pisces venus in the 3rd.

Scorpio Ascendant

-> I'm still a bit torn between him having a Leo or Virgo MC, but because I can rather see him having a Sagittarius Moon in the 1st and Pluto in the 1st/conjunct AC, I think he has a Virgo MC. Would explain the bridge of chaotic-clumsy Namjoon and professional Namjoon. He seems to be hyperaware of his position as a public figure/leader and also as a person in the collective. I feel Namjoon is someone who is vocal about him being socially aware especially and keen on self-improvement. Pluto in the 1st speaks a lot of self-development/rebirth of the self as well. I also think Sun and Chiron in the 10th conjunct would make sense. -> To be honest I also had Cancer Ascendant as a possible Ascendant, but for now Scorpio Ascendant makes more sense to me.

☆ Jimin ☆

Gemini/Cancer Ascendant

-> I'm in a tie here. Not only because of his emotional behaviour and attitude but also because of his looks. He has the moonish/pixie features that Cancer and Gemini Ascendants have. I really want to see his Moon in the 1st house, but I think with a Gemini Rising it would also be enough if it was to be conjunct the Ascendant. Pisces MC, Virgo IC. Either Libra in the 5th stellium, very expressive and playful (depending on the decan exlcuding his Mercury and Chiron and putting it in the 4th house). The Gemini Ascendant-Moon conjunction would add to his visible moodiness, also adds to playfulness as well. Cancer Ascendant gives him a 5th house stellium, with his Scorpio Mars in the 5th house and his Sun and Mercury in the 4th. The Scorpio Mars in the 5th conjunct Pluto in Scorpio in the 5th would make sense in regards of him being a contemporary dancer - his dancing style is very expressive and he conveys emotions and depth very well!

☆ V ☆

Libra Ascendant

-> Early Ascendant (1st decan). Gives him a Capricorn stellium in the 4th aka makes him value family and his roots (usually) and a very discreet/private person. His Aquarius Venus would be in the 5th house and also his Chart Ruler. Would explain his uncinventionality, distinguished style, Capricorn stellium in the 4th also gives him this liking for classic /oldschool things/looks. If his Sun was to square his AC it would explain to me why he sometimes does these out of pocket things adfgh. His Aries Moon would be in the 7th house, which for me explains (+ the 4th house stellium he'd have) how he can become very heated and emotional with his friends/members, almost like a sitch turns on, and that even though he has an Aries Moon, he does have this visible, strong dependance on people/needs the emotional support.

☆ Jungkook ☆

Leo Ascendant

-> Has to be a Leo Moon, definitely, so this teightens the time frame again. I actually get why someone guessed he could be a Libra Rising as well though! But here is my second, own guess: I am tending towards Leo Ascendant simply because of Moon in the 1st. Not conjunct the Ascendant though, because I would tend now to him having an Aries MC, not a Taurus MC. I also think about his Venus in Libra in the 3rd here. Jungkook's voice just carries that vibe for me. Also Mercury conjunct Sun in the 2nd in Virgo: if we talk about the typical/generic indicators in astrology that point to talent in singing then that would be it too, but that's more of a fun fact for me since these placements are not an obligation to develope a skill in something asdfgh. BUT I do think about his Mercury in the 2nd house inconjunct his Uranus in the 6th house and his lisp, because this could point to it. Also Uranus and Neptune in the 6th and the body image: lots and lots of tattoos. He'd have an Aquarius DC and his Jupiter in the 7th conjunct his DC and would point to his general very generous and welcoming/friendly nature in addition to his Leo Moon. I also keep thinking about that moment in the ISAC's when that one man (i forgot his name I'm very sorry) was like 'yes I want to fight Jin in this discipline' and Jungkook went like full 'I understood the assignment' and kinda revenge mode and honestly these moments like these could be very well Scorpio Mars lurking in the depths (4th house) and appearing on the surface.

Hi, I just would love to say I LOVE your work! It's really well-written and one of my most favorite things to read! I'm a bit curious about how you stayed committed in one project for so long... I've had various multi-chaptered works I posted (and some lying around in the drafts for a long while), but every time i encounter a problem i immediately feel uninspired to post and i immediately tank it. And since I'm doing another multi-chapter fic, I'm scared that I'd abandon it easily. I was wondering how you'd manage to keep on comiting to your own project?

I have to confess, I’m also extremely guilty of abandoning a project partway through. It’s already happened three times in the recent past for other fandoms (and two of those three times were quite literally smack in the very MIDDLE of the projects as well). One day I’ll go back to them. One day. 

But with this work? It just means too much to me to just up and quit on it (insert ninja never quit quote here). And I’ve gotten stuck plenty of times as well (Chapter 17, Chapter 23, Chapter 28, and Chapter 35 already jump out in particular ghhhhh) but when that happens, I’ve done a variety of things to try and keep the momentum flowing:

Comb back through Notes: Double check to make sure things are still on track in the way you want them to. There’s been countless times I’ve gotten on a writing roll and accidentally write myself into a hole, only to realize it’s because I skipped over something I should have included earlier, or I took too much time on a scene and I have to reign it in to make room for something else. Other times what I had in my original notes doesn’t fit with my vision anymore, and I have to do some reworking there. Or there’s not enough information/context supplied and I have to add in something. Either way, writing out even the barest thing of a plot thread (even if you hate outlines) can help you determine what you should be doing with your story next. 

Read/write other fics/stories. Sometimes my issue is that I’ve stepped away from writing for too long (as I get stupid busy) and it’s not so much that I “forget” how to write, but it can be a little difficult getting back into my “writing voice” and then everything starts to come up bland. By rereading other fics, you can find new inspiration, start to get a mental “language” of how to want to phrase things or describe scenes, a reminder of how to progress with dialogue. etc...basically, for me, it helps me picture my story after days of not really thinking about it, or helps me get a handle of how I want my story to flow. 

Of course, you can always reread your own work, which can remind you of where you wanted to take your plot/characters in the first place and give you a jump start like that... but for me that just makes me annoyed that I can’t read the rest of the fic as *I* have to write it asdfghjk. Alternatively, if you find yourself stuck on one story, start writing/working on another! I know, sounds counterintuitive with the “too many wips” thing, but it doesn’t have to be a full-fledged novel! A oneshot, drabble, a writing request, a practice scene...something small that you’re not necessarily obligated to finish just to get the juices flowing again without the added pressure. That one I can say from experience definitely helps from experience!

Do literally anything else. Sometimes you’re just a bit burnt out and need a break from writing! Give that part of your brain some time to rest, and then when you come back to write, it’ll be with some fresh perspective! Being all-consuming in a project may seem like it’ll help it get done faster, but you can’t drive a car with no gas, y’know? Don’t let yourself get too hung up on writing; it’s supposed to be fun! And when it starts getting not fun, step away before you can too frustrated with it (or yourself). Get a snack, grab some water, draw, do a puzzle, go outside, see some friends, whatever! It’s just as important not to neglect other things you love as well. .... *stares longingly at my gaming backlog*

From my own experience, I do tend to get a reignited itch to write when I’m off doing something else. In my case, let’s say I’m playing a video game, but now that my mind has had time to relax from writing, new ideas and a drive to write actually have the energy to come back full force, so to speak.

Straight up start the chapter/scene/part you’re stuck on from scratch (but don’t throw out what you already have either). Again, sounds counterintuitive, BUT by tackling the problem from another angle (i.e. a different point of view, a different turn in a conversation, simply rearranging the order of events, etc) can do INSANE wonders for finding a way through a block. All those chapters I listed above? All had to be re-written to include everything I wanted that would also flow in a logical way. I look at my older drafts for chapters and wince at my original ideas—but hey, I wouldn’t have the current ideas I have now without them, so can’t let myself feel too bad! 

And by not throwing out what you already have, you’ve got stuff to work with and reference, which is better than trying to go in blind all over again! You can straight up rewrite scenes you weren’t vibing with, rearrange the order of scenes to experiment with the flow, ask yourself why you even needed a scene in the first place...being able to reflect like that is super indispensable, and in the worst case scenario, you’ve still got at least part of a chapter written, so it’s not like you have zero progress at all! 

Take the first/easiest way out, or just eliminate what caused the problem in the first place. It may seem a little dumb, and it’s obviously going to depend on just how big the “problem” actually is or the nature of it, but for the moment, if it’ll help you move forward in the slightest, go for it! Because you can always go back and fix it up later if you want! And if not, you’ve still got a good enough way to get readers (and yourself), from point a to point b. No need to always be perfect; we’re all doing this for fun in the end! And often times a casual reader isn’t going to catch the fact that you may have metaphorically simply put a bandaid over an issue; they’re just here for the fun ride! 

But the biggest secret to keep on carrying on? Love what you do!  Sounds cheesy, but if you’re not fully passionate to begin with, it’s going to be really, really hard to maintain the drive no matter what you do. Always remind yourself of why you started the project in the first place, remember the story you want to achieve in the end, and be a little forgiving to yourself when things aren’t turning out the way you want them to. You just have such high expectations for your work because it means so much to you that you start putting standards on yourself, and that’s not always good for you or your story.

Learn to see problems not as problems but opportunities; a wake-up call for yourself, a check to make sure the story is going in the way you originally wanted it to, or to see if maybe it’s time for a complete direction! It doesn’t mean the project’s not worth finishing; it just means it’s worth so much to you that you’re afraid to see it fail. But what’s more important: achieving a perfect story that made you want to pull your hair out the whole time, or telling an imperfect story you can always go back and fix if you want, but people were able to enjoy regardless because it got done? 

And hey, sometimes you do just have to write a bad chapter/scene/story just to push onward (Chapter 11 of Book 1 is this for me ghhhhh it’s so far from my vision and I never could fine tune it in just the right way I wanted BUT OH WELL). Not saying you should just ~abandon all quality~ when things aren’t going your way, but.......it’s not the end of the world if you do, either. That just means you’ve presented an opportunity for yourself to look back on how you’ve grown! And that’s not a bad thing, right? 

Anyway, that’s just some advice from my own experience/circumstances; hopefully it helped in some small way, at least! ^^

You wanted to laugh so badly.

For some reason, your housemates are panicking over who the hell set this gender reveal party up in the living room. 

It was you. With the help of Bucky of course.

Natasha and Wanda have been shouting “I’m not pregnant, I think you are!” to each other for about 10 minutes now. Steve decided that he needed answers too, so he joined in the shouting. Pietro’s talking to his camera, probably vlogging the whole thing. Peter’s talking on the phone with MJ asking if she set this up. Sam’s the only one enjoying the food. Bucky was looking at you from across the room, keeping the smile from forming on his face. 

Just about an hour or so ago, you and Bucky were just setting the whole thing up. Bucky was pushing the table to the living room when you arrived with the cake. You placed the rest of the blue and pink food on the table along with other decorations. There were many variations of food, but the cupcakes that have toppers that said: “Here for the Sex” were Bucky’s personal favorite despite not knowing how they taste. The balloons were still lifeless when both of you hung the streamers on the walls with the banner that matched the topper of the cupcakes. After finally finding the balloon pump, blue and pink balloons filled the living room. Some were on the floor while you hung the others on the wall. When you were content with the appearance of the room, you and Bucky went your separate ways.

You got the idea of throwing a gender reveal party when you were working at the diner one evening. “You’ll be at the gender reveal party next week right?” the woman at the booth asked her friend. “Of course, Jill asked me to pick up the cake,” Her friend says. When you got the idea, you thought it was silly, so you dismissed it. Later on, you thought of more ideas and details to add, then in a blink of an eye, you were in the bakery, asking the baker if they can make a three-layered cake of your favorite flavor with the inside colored blue.

“Maybe P set this all up for a prank again?” Nat looked at Pietro who was filming the whole thing. “Just because I have a channel that doesn’t mean I always prank!” Pietro said, turning off his camera.

Steve sighed, “Okay, one by one. Nat and I were the first ones here, but it was all here already when we arrived. Wanda was the next one here, she was in the bookstore the whole morning. Bucky and Sam were next and they only came here because he saw the Instagram story of Nat. Pietro and Peter came home today from LA and Peter from Tony’s. Lastly, Y/N came home from the cafe,” everyone nodded. 

After a couple of minutes of silence, you couldn’t handle it anymore, “Okay, I can’t do it. I give up. It was me. I set this up,” you laughed. 

“But why Y/N?” Peter gasped, “Are you pregnant?”

Everyone’s eyes were on you now. Natasha’s eyes widened, “Wait, who’s the father?”

Bucky was laughing internally, you could tell. He wasn’t looking at you anymore, he turned around to look at the window. You could see his shoulders slightly shaking, he’s definitely laughing. Good thing the attention wasn’t on him. “I uhh… I don’t know,” you said. You technically haven't met Bucky's dad, you were being honest.

“Doesn’t matter, my sweet Y/N! We’ll support you and help you. Anything you need” Sam swallowed the macaroon whole before going to you and hugging you tightly.

“I know you will.” In less than a minute, you were trapped in the middle of the group hug.

“Why didn’t you say anything sooner? We would’ve known the gender by now!” Pietro said as the group untangled from the hug. 

You laughed, “I was enjoying the show.” 

“Well, come on! I wanna know if my godchild is a boy or a girl!” Wanda yelled excitedly and went to the kitchen to grab the knife. 

Bucky walked towards you before you could join the others who are now gathered at the table, waiting for plates and the knife. “I’m tellin’ ya, doll, they’re gonna be frustrated at us,” he said. You shrugged, “They already are.”

Wanda handed you the knife to cut the cake. Everyone took out their phones to take a video of the “soon-to-be-mother”. You were trying very hard not to laugh at this point and so was Bucky, who was taking a video of his friends’ reactions to what they’re about to say.

You sliced a triangle on one side of the cake and pulled it out, showing blue. “Oh my God! It’s a boy!” Peter yelled, jumping around with Pietro. Sam and Steve took turns hugging you and they were later pushed aside by Wanda and Nat. “I’m happy for you, hun I am, but I really hope that a girl comes out of you,” Natasha said while hugging you and Wanda tightly. 

You cleared your throat, catching everyone’s attention, “It’s actually a Bucky” you said, nonchalantly. 

“Bucky?” Wanda pulled away slightly from the hug, making Nat do the same. “A Bucky? As in it’s Bucky’s baby?” Steve asked, wide-eyed, obviously excited, looking at Bucky who is now looking back at you, covering his mouth with his hands, to keep himself from laughing. 

“I meannnnn… Bucky... is my... baby,” you said while extending your arm, inviting Bucky to come closer, which he did. 

Peter was still confused and it shows, “You’re Bucky’s mom?” he asked, making Pietro smack his head, “Pete, it means they’re dating... Right?”

Both you and Bucky nodded, “We are.”

“Oh my God! Fucking finally! I was starting to think you’ll never tell each other how you feel! Do you know how frustrated you two made me?” Sam yelled, throwing a pillow at Bucky.

Natasha was yelling “I fucking knew it! I told you so!” repeatedly to her boyfriend while Wanda kept pinching both your and Bucky’s cheeks saying, “CUTIESSS!” 

You looked at Bucky, “they don’t look frustrated” you said which made Bucky roll his eyes and smile. Both of you laughed when you saw Steve silently saying “Yes! My ship!” Either that or something about shit.

“Calm your asses. Now, this party isn’t just for us to announce that we’re together. This is also a party for Natty and Steve. Sorta like the part one of the roomies night we’re gonna have” you said, looking at the couple.

“Thank you, Y/N, but I don’t wanna think about moving right now. What I do want is for you two to give us the fucking details about how you two finally got together” Nat said, making everyone agree and sit down and get comfortable in the living room.

Bucky cleared his throat and looked on his left, where you sat. “It happened the night that her friend came to the city.”

To say you were excited for tonight was an understatement. 

Last night, you already picked out the clothes you wanted to wear tonight. It was simple, really, just a pair of jeans and the most comfortable hoodie you owned. Or should you go with a plain sweater instead? Printed shirt? Oversized shirt? Your grey sweatpants? They look comfortable. Or your black ones?

You ended up with your first choice. 

Wanda and Nat noticed how upbeat and cheery you were the whole day. It wasn’t exactly like you to be this happy at 7 am. You cooked a lot more food than usual and you haven’t even had your coffee yet. “Maria’s in the city today!” was the only excuse you thought of every time they asked you. You had some errands to do that day, its something you find really boring and exhausting but you found yourself skipping to the bank. Skipping, not walking. 

At the tower, Bucky was a nervous wreck. He couldn’t focus much on what he was doing. He would zone out and forget what he was typing, then he remembered he wasn’t typing at all, he was fixing a floor plan. Sam being Sam, noticed how Boinky was acting. He kept teasing Bucky about being distracted while Steve kept asking him to stop. “What’s up with you, Buck? What’s making you zone out?” Steve asked, giving Bucky some water. Bucky just shrugged and continued whatever the hell he was doing. 

The evening came too fast for Bucky and too slow for you. You got home, got dressed to meet with Maria for dinner before seeing Bucky. When Bucky got home, he changed into something more casual and fixed himself at his bathroom. “Tell her tonight, you fucking idiot,” he told himself, looking at the mirror before grabbing his helmet and his old helmet that you proclaimed yours when you were hanging out before. He smiled at the memory then remembered that Dot never even got to see his motorcycle. Huh. 

He picked you up at the hotel that Maria was staying at. In a few minutes, you were at the bar that you two used to go to. You two bought a couple of drinks before going to the spot - your spot. You almost forgot how beautiful it was there, especially at night. 

“After tonight, you’ll only have one night of free drinks, use it wisely,” Bucky said, breaking the silence.

“Yeah, I’ll have to find another way to have free drinks from you,” you joked.

He looked at you, “You can just ask, you know? You don’t have to blackmail me,” he smiled. 

You laughed for a moment and it became silent once again. It felt... awkward. You two were seated a couple of inches away from each other, the closest you two have been since you avoided each other, but you wanted to get away. You remembered the last time you were here, in this exact same spot. Drinking the alcohol of your choice, laughing with Bucky, talking about your high school selves. Many things have changed since then. It feels so weird and new to you, sitting next to someone you genuinely like, your friend. You took a deep breath and stopped thinking. 

“I like you, did you know that?” you said out of the blue making Bucky wonder if he was just imagining it and he was just hearing things. He stayed silent, deciding that it was just his mind saying that cause that was what he wanted to hear.

You turned to Bucky, waiting for his reaction. Nothing. “Buck?” he turned and looked at you as if he hadn’t heard you. “I like you,” you said once again only this time, it was louder and clearer. 

“You like me?” Bucky asked, finding it hard to believe for some reason. “Like, you like-like me?” You nodded, smiling at his creased eyebrows and slightly tilted face, like a confused puppy. You almost didn’t notice how your heart is beating quickly as if it wanted to jump out of your chest. It was taking Bucky too long to reply, and that made you anxious. All you wanted was to take it back and change what you said. You should’ve said “I’d really like to go back to being close friends” or maybe ask him why he avoided you or somethi--

“Did Wanton ask you to tell this to me?” he asked with an accusative tone. “No, why would I agree to that? Even if I did, I’d only agree to say something like that if I really meant it,” your voice getting louder every word.

“So it’s true? You like me? Romantic styles?” You nodded, slightly annoyed that he would think that you would play with his feelings. “Yes, it’s no big deal. I just wanted to tell you, I don’t expect you to like me back. I just- I want you to--”

"I like you too. Romantic styles," he said holding your hand. "That was why I set you up with Loki, why I avoided you after that and why I was avoiding you until you invited me to join you and Pietro. I kinda got a bit… slightly, sort of jealous so I agreed to go with you."

"Wait, hold on, you like me... and you... set me up with Loki? I don't get it"

"I like you and… That doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is that you’re happy, and I'll do anything to make you happy,” he said, offering you a small smile.

"Then we kissed and… yeah,” you smiled at your friends’ faltered smiles.

Sam stood up, “Why was everything else so detailed and the kiss was just ‘then we kissed’? What’s that about?” He said, grabbing more food from the table. "And, I fucking told you so, Boinks!" 

Bucky rolled his eyes, “Do you wanna hear how I kissed her softl-”

“Excuse me?” You said, raising your eyebrows at your boyfriend. “I kissed you, and it wasn’t soft”

“Y/N stop saying soft!” Peter shouted, covering his ears.

Wanda wiggled her eyebrows, "You didn't come home that night, hun."

"Yeah, I invited her to my place, we had some wine and we just talked for the rest of the night. Nothing happened. Okay? After talking we just slept. That's it,” Bucky defended.

Steve kept nodding his head, “Hence the Instagram story, mhmm, mhmm. Alright.”

“Whatever happened that night, I’m glad it did. And, I’m really really reallyyyyy happy for you, dumbasses,” Nat laughed.

Peter walked to you, “I’m happy for you too, sis. But please, don’t get detailed with… you know. I don’t need to know that.” You laughed, holding his hand. “And Bucky, if you ever hurt my sister, I’ll hunt you down and beat you up,” Peter looked at Bucky squinting his eyes, trying to look intimidating, which made Bucky laugh.

You looked at Bucky, “He’s serious. And very strong. He gave Steve bruises when they were boxing at the gym.” Bucky looked at Steve who was nodding.

One thing Tenya will do is learn things about your hobbies and do research into them. He’ll end up telling you little facts he’s learned. It’s his way of getting involved with what you like to do.

He knows you love to play Slime Ranch. You find the little slimes so cute and often show Tenya the latest slimes you’ve captured, gushing about how adorable they are. One day Tenya ended up surprising you with a little plushie of your favorite slime. You were so excited and he couldn’t help but blush as you hugged and thanked him.

You can definitely expect to study together. Lol. He knows that you tend to be a little lazy and airheaded and he doesn’t want your grades to suffer. He’s a very good teacher, though. Plus, it’s easier to understand the information when he teaches you. You do get distracted from time to time just staring at him. Tenya’s very handsome, especially when he’s in his element.

Speaking of handsome...Have you seen this boy shirtless. DAMN. *I about died on that pool episode. I mean Katsuki and Tenya shirtless...asdfghjk.*

Something Tenya loves about you is your optimistic nihilism, honestly, he admires it. He wishes he could be more like that. And, over time, I believe, you could start to rub off on him, a little.

Tenya’s definitely not into PDA, he feels that kind of stuff should be kept in private. However...you love to shower your man in PDA. Maybe a random kiss here and there, randomly jumping on his back in a surprise hug, etc. He’ll say things like...Elliot you shouldn’t be doing these things in public...Eh, Elliot you can’t do that...Not here, Elliot...but you wanna know a secret...He actually loves it. this might be common knowledge among Clip Studio Paint users but !! I really wanna talk about gradient maps !!!!! pseudo tutorial but not really :P for those who don’t know gradient maps are a nifty little tool in CSP that lets you map a gradient of colors to what’s selected ! to find it you have to go to  Edit > Tonal Correction > Gradient Map I personally haven’t tried to map a colored image so I’m not sure if mapping works on non-grey scaled images, so keep that in mind if you start using them ! I’ve recently been using them for shading/lighting and tbh they’re REALLY USEFUL !! and can save layer space if you’re like me and don’t compress your layers First what you wanna do is take your (shaded) image, I’ll call this the base, (and assuming it’s grey-scale already) duplicate the layer and open up gradient mapping. this is what you should see ! ((minus all the palettes, though you can make your own to save or download them from the CSP “store”))

click on the little arrows on the sliding gradient belt and change their color, you’ll notice if any value similar on the drawing will change too, if it doesn’t try dragging/sliding the arrow. To create more arrows or in-between colors, click on the bottom of the gradient belt where the white lines are

to apply a gradient map you’ve downloaded in your gradient bank on the bottom left, select the map and then click on the second icon with the long arrow avoid clicking the first icon since it replaces the selected gradient with the current one on the belt, ((as you can see I did by accident with the gradient above “porple green”))

for simplicity I’m gonna use a pre-made example i made the other night: here’s the base before mapping

along with the 2 maps that I used, i left the first one untouched and overlayed the second one on top of it

and in a new Multiply layer, add the regular colors

obviously this doesn’t work in every circumstance or w/ every color combo but it’s good to know and can help !! this also works by having a base of normal colors and overlaying a gradient mapped lighting/shading layer over top it, instead of having a multiply layer over the gradient map !! ((that sounds confusing and if anyone wants me to clarify in a different post i will !!)) oh and here’s the finished image, it’s a lot smaller than you’d think asdfghjk

I think you have a good idea on easing into the stories with names. While I will admit to being one of the readers who does get distracted by a named OC (if I'm going into it imagining myself, of course) I'm also mature enough to realize that writing is an art and it's not fair to stifle the artist if they're trying to grow. I think you should do what you feel comfortable with. I certainly won't stop reading your stories. I read them because they're good and I like them :)

While trying to comfort you and find the perfect words to make all this better, he ran his mind in circles until his thoughts spun him right into a tizzy; it led him right back to the start. Hizashi takes another deep breath, releasing all of his stress in a defeated sigh. If words aren’t getting through to you, he knew of something that might. You won’t like it though, of that he’s certain.

“Melody, is it okay if we move ya to the couch?” You should be somewhere comfortable first.

You’ll want to be sitting for this.

Hizashi squashes the itch in his hands to scoop you up. This would be a good step in listening and hearing you out. As much as he wants to lift you and bring you into his chest, he patiently waits for your permission.

It’s painful, but Shouta releases you in preparation. His movements are stiff, akin to rusted bolts stubbornly melted into place from time, refusing to surrender to the hammer’s steel. Although he’d just let you go, he looks as if he’ll pull you into another hug any second. He’s emotionally drained and needs your warmth. Having you close did wonders for his mental health. His throat burns with the words he wants to say. Before, he’d wanted to counter your illogical claims, but now it ached for the right ones that would make you believe them.

You opt to walk on your own.

Zashi respects your decision.

Your emotions are still tender, so you settle for holding his hand. You could use the supportive hold. His grip gave you strength to pick yourself up despite the weariness in your bones.

You’re seated in the middle, between the two heroes.

Hizashi holds your hand in his lap, staring down at it as if contemplating if he should carry through with this. Absentmindedly, he caresses the soft knuckles beneath his thumb. “So, I wanna show ya somethin’.”

Glancing at Shouta, you can tell you’re not the only one in the dark.

“Shou, could you get your laptop?”

Aizawa cuts his eyes, looking to the side in confusion. He isn’t able to come to a conclusion, not one that would explain why his partner wanted his laptop at this moment. And to think Zashi jumped on him for it ‘not being the time’. This didn’t seem like the time for cat videos, but he supposed it would help calm things down. Pushing off the couch, he goes to retrieve it from the kitchen table.

During his brief absence, Zashi checks in with you; the voice hero holds a gentle palm to your head and keeps you breathing steadily. The restlessness in his knees makes you anxious. His nervous habit never proceeded anything good. It never ended in your favor.

Shuffling back to the couch, Aizawa sits his device on the coffee table.

Zashi thanks him with a kiss, but he has a request. “Shouta,” The name change is what steals Aizawa’s attention. He never called him by his full name unless he was in trouble. Or worse, when the topic of conversation was serious—a conversation they both knew he wouldn’t enjoy.

Aizawa hums all the same, he’d rather get it over with.

“Could you sit here with our baby? I’m gonna get her some water. You two kick it here for a sec.”

Turns out, he’d grabbed more than a drink of water. He returns with three water bottles and three different snacks.

“I know ya might not feel hungry, but try and get a bit of this down. You did a lot of yellin’ earlier. I think your throat would appreciate some cold water right about now.”

Shouta thinks it’s logical. It hadn’t escaped either hero’s notice how hoarse your voice became towards the end of your tirade.

You aren’t particularly hungry; his nervousness rubbed off on you.

Sensing your hesitation, Hizashi pleads in the form of kiss to your cheek.

“Please? You don’t have to eat all of it.”

Shouta was a little standoff-ish in the heat of argument, but he adds the cherry on top of Hizashi’s plea.

“Just a little bit of it. Can you do that for us?” His lips press softly into the other one. It isn’t quite a kiss, more a touch of lips on skin.

You nibble at the mix of dried fruit, nuts and candy while Zashi busies himself with the laptop.

“Hizashi-” Aizawa grimaces, looking uncertain as the mouse hovers over a certain folder.

The owner of the name released another rattled breath. “I can’t think of any other way to show ‘em.” Green eyes regard you momentarily before they return to black. “This is all I can think of.”

The erasure hero crossed his arms, but he doesn’t protest. He presses himself tightly into the cushions. Zashi just looks to the ceiling for strength as his husband practically closed himself off from the situation.

Clearly, he’d be doing this alone.

Tapping the built in trackpad, the snores Zashi often fell asleep to occupy the room with gentle rumbles. Shouta often listened to them on nights he couldn’t sleep. They slept soundly listening together. If they closed their eyes and imagined, you were sleeping beside them. Neither of the two men look at you, and Zashi’s ears are a bright red. He skips over the moans and sneezes, he’s not that shameless. Hopefully, you can’t see his blush deepen when that laugh they adore joys the room with its sound. They’re oddly silent as he taps through photos taken before they’d brought you home, a list of your favorite foods and vitamins you were deficient in. They have an album of places they’d like to take you once they’re certain you won’t run like hell from them. A word document of cat names pops up from the cat Shouta meant to surprise you with somewhere down the line. From the audios, they’d heard of your desire for a pet.

The shabby man to your side shifts uncomfortably. He’s staring hard at the wall, trying his best to ignore all of this. He’s convinced this is a waste of time; you’ll be more afraid of them by the end of it.

Hizashi emits a hint of a groan. You shift as well. Baby names glare at you from the screen. It’s obvious who picked them. You’re certain he made a few of them up.

The emcee swallows twice before daring to speak. “So…” he’s quieter than you’ve ever heard him. “we wouldn’t have done all of this if we didn’t love you. It would be a pretty big waste of time, yeah?” His features are anything but reassuring despite his tone attempting to be.

Ah! I’m glad to spark imagination!
