It Ain't Easy Being Green

"Izuku doesn’t mind that he wasn’t the favorite in the agency or even the second favorite."

What's this admin? Posting fic?? It's been 84 years... Here's a snippet from the next installment of the Nighteye Agency Hijinks Series which may or may not ever be completed. Enjoy??

Nighteye agency is quiet when Izuku arrives and he knows he’s the only one in the entire building. Centipeder and Bubble Girl both have left for patrol. Izuku’s been tasked with processing the slightly massive backlog of paperwork and reports that has started to pile up since Sir had begun placing all the agency’s efforts in the Shie Hassaikai case.

He approaches his desk to find his stapler along with his 7cm limited edition All Might figurine encased in a mold of gelatin in the middle of his desk. He surveys the area around the desk cautiously, as if to find an explanation. There’s not even a hint.

“Okay…” he mutters, “Weird.”

He takes a gauntlet covered finger and pokes at the odd culinary construction. As expected it jiggles. The All Might figure is stuck in a pose that makes it look like he’s holding up the stapler twice he’s size over the top his head. Izuku giggles then scrambles to get his phone out to take a picture.

While he would love to keep this weirdly endearing thing on his desk, Izuku really doesn’t think being in gelatin is good for the finish on his All Might figurine.

Izuku doesn’t mind that he wasn’t the favorite in the agency or even the second favorite. There’s only three other employees at the Nighteye Agency. His rank among them is pretty obvious. Still there was no doubt in his mind that he belonged. He’d been a crucial part of the raid on the Shie Hakkaisai. He helped save Eri, defeated Overhaul, actually changed a predetermined future. Sir Nighteye, himself, while on deaths door admitted that Deku surpassed his expectations.Thankfully he didn’t die.

Izuku had pretty much cemented his place as Nighteye’s agency.

And then work-study came to a screeching halt. UA required the interns— especially those involved in the Raid— take some mandatory time off for both their physical and emotional health. Aizawa and Nedzu approached Izuku in particular and gave him the option of being able to terminate his employment without penalty.

But taking that option didn’t sit right with Izuku. He put so much work into those few weeks and wanted to see his internship through to the end. Even if he could no longer be able to learn from Sir Nighteye in the capacity that he had imagined he would.

It’s the first of many academic choices he makes without the advice or insight of All Might. The former hero has been spending the majority of his time away from UA, visiting with his former sidekick at the hospital.

The next intern day, Izuku cautiously approaches his desk. There don’t seem to be any gelatin concoctions to greet him. He breathes a sigh a relief. As hilarious as that was, cleaning up the resulting mess was a pain.

It isn’t until he goes to turn on the computer that he realizes that his keyboard and mouse are rubber-banded together. Like really rubber-banded together. He picks them up and carefully observes the handywork. There are at least 100 bands wrapped around multiple times. The computer finishes booting up and begins to make a loud beeping sound. The error code due to all the keys being pressed at the same time. The sound startles Izuku and he fumble and drops the devices. They land on the desk with a crack. The control key pops off and slides onto the floor.

Unlike the last incident, this time Izuku isn’t alone. Centipeder is sitting the next desk over working on reports. Izuku turns to him clutching the keyboard to his chest with wide eyes.

“I...um, well.”

Centipeder’s eyes squint and his mandibles make a clicking noise. It’s hard to tell if he is amused or annoyed with Izuku’s predicament.

“You may want to unplug that keyboard,” is all the older hero says before returning back to his report.

….

Uraraka hunches over laughing when Izuku tells her and the rest of the lunch table at UA about his recent encounters at Nighteye agency.

“I think someone is trying to get me to leave,” Izuku tells Iida and Todoroki, who are the only ones who seem to be taking this seriously.

“They are not!” Uraraka says calming down “It’s just fun! At my dad's company they have prank wars all the time.”

Iida reluctantly speaks up, “My brother used to play practical jokes on the senior members of Iidaten when he was younger. But! After what happened I think this is hardly a time to--”

Uraraka shoves a hand over his mouth. “What you’ve gotta do is get whoever’s pranking you back.”

“But I have no idea who it is.”

“Then prank the whole office! There’s only three of you, right? I’ve got some great ideas!”

No longer silenced, Iida speaks up, “This could be disruptive to the work at the agency. What would your employer say?”

Izuku thinks about what Mirio says about Sir Nighteye and his sense of humor.

“You know, I have a feeling that he wouldn’t mind...much.”

I still think in izuku's case, Hori should have built his backstory. There should have been an arc dedicated to his life before UA but that doesn't happen and the below two weren't addressed in a convincing way.

1. Why was izuku looking like stick. ? I feel there is no reason for this other than Hori's shitty thinking that an underdog has to look physically weak so let's draw him like shit. I heard some say he was depressed but to what extent was his depression that led him to be? Was he even eating his food? Also where was inko?. If he wasn't eating due to depression everyday wouldn't she have noticed on the 2nd or 3rd day and did something considering she is overprotective of izuku?. From when was he even like this? . Imo if anyone who should've been weak and skinny it should've been Uraraka because in canon she skips one of her meals or even eats less than sufficient due to her financial issues and before UA we don't know how far she went with this habit. But Instead she is drawn thick.

2. why did he not train before UA? Like seriously what stopped him from training his body ?. Is it because of age and he needed to be 14 like many in the fandom claim? Then the same needs to be there for all characters in the series. But when I compare him with other characters about his physique the fandom again says that all characters look better because they trained their bodies since they were little and that contradicts the previous statement about training at age 14. (Or) was it because it never struck him to train ?. That would make no sense since he's a hero nerd who analyzes quirks, heroes and he should've been able to deduce that Heroes also are physically fit. His own role model was a beast in physique. (Or) was it the society hindering him ? We don't see any discrimination against quirkless in the series except Bakugou and his Aledera class. Beyond what we saw in chapter 1, we don't see anything. (Or) Did inko prohibit him? It's never explained why he couldn't train his body or if there was hindrances for him to train. Sure UA allowed quirkless to participate in the exam but if he was waiting for this news then shouldn't he be preparing his knowledge and his physical strength. Another few said it's due to his self esteem issues but this the same guy before getting attacked by the sludge stated that he doesn't give crap about what others thought.

In my opinion these should have been addressed properly by having an entire arc about izuku's life before UA to not make mc look bad. I'm sure if the Todoroki family can have one then izuku being the MC should have one too..

I certainly agree that Izuku should have been given more backstory. We really only get vague glimpses. We barely know anything about how life was for him before UA excluding Bakugou. I really wish we got to see him develop without Bakugou being involved so damn much.

1. I actually don't think this is related to diet or depression or anything like that. I think it's way more to do with the fact that Izuku was just a teenage boy. Every kid grows differently, I think his metabolism just happens to be fast, plus it's also possible that he simply doesn't eat all that much without it being related to depression or an eating disorder. Nothing to be alarmed about. Same thing with Uraraka, even if she did skip meals it's possible that her family relied a lot on cheap fast food than actual nutritious meals (this is common in the US, I don't know about how it works in Japan) and her body held onto that fat (I'm not calling her fat).

2. This is a hard question to answer. I simply think that because quirkless heroes didn't exist, Izuku just didn't know where to start. There was no one for him to imitate (for example Kirishima could easily copy Red Riot) or learn from. Even if a hero fought using their quirk minimally like Eraserhead, it would more than likely be an underground hero who wouldn't have a lot of accessible footage. He also didn't have the resources or support that others would have had. I've said this before, but Bakugou had wealthy and supportive parents who could afford equipment and/or trainers and support at school to put him on the path for hero work. Izuku didn't have support from Inko and they more than likely didn't have the money for trainers or equipment, who knows if they even have money for him to go to the gym (again, I don't know how this works in Japan). The most he could do was run everyday and that would only go so far.

Yes, an introduction to Izuku's life pre-UA would have been optimal. Idk about anyone else, but it also sucks that we get to see both of Bakugou's parents and even know their dynamic with him and one another, but we know nothing about Hisashi. We don't even know what he looks like

I've had a recent MHA idea in my head that I'd love to see as either a short story or a comic. If I have time I may end up drawing some skits.

Basically Izuku would have a moss quirk. This would basically make him a living mass of moss, fungi, and other plant matter with a soil core. He would look entirely human unless injured or eating. Although his skin would feel like soft beds of moss, when under stress it can cause rashes similar to poison Ivy.

He's capable of photosynthesis thanks to his green hair, but is incapable of ingesting normal food. Due to water and nutrients needing to be obtained through soil, he is capable of storing soil inside his body. Rather than having any type of organs , he uses the soil in a similar way to a digestive track. His mouth acts as a direct entrance and exit to his soil, and pouring water into his mouth allows him to water said soil. The same works for food.

As he is a moving plant rather than a stationary one, he would need to photosynthesize in peak conditions constantly to keep up with his body's demands. Due to this, he would not be able to 'digest' anything that would take a long time to decompose, as that is the only way for him to draw nutrients from his body soil. To combat this, he can either reject the nutrient deficient soil and replace it with fresh compost, or ingest decomposing mater. Constantly dispelling and ingesting bacteria rich soil; aswell as feasting continuously on decomposing animals, coffee grounds, rotting fruit, etc, would allow for him to remain active, provided there is enough sunlight. A high powered glow light is very sufficient at ensuring his high light requirements are met.

Personality wise, I think this quirk would affect him a lot. Not a lot of energy would be stored for processing, and would rather go into ensuring he has the correct conditions to live. Due to this he would likely remain slow moving and slow processing despite his intelligence, only moving quickly in the case of imminent danger or fresh food. This would make talking low on the priority scale and considered a waist of precious energy.

His social life would be near zero, no one wanting to hang around the kid that regularly feasts on road kill. But this would also lead to physical bullying being avoided out of pure disgust, even Bakugo flinching away from possible contact.

I'm just imagining him becoming one with the forest floor, shoving handfulls of dirt in his mouth, and getting reprimanded for feasting on roadkill Infront of scared pedestrians lol

“What if” anon. You mentioned how Midoriya and Shigaraki would be their own posts so I guess I’m asking for that, mainly because I’m not sure how their characters would react? Either the two end up in the others place and ultimately remained the same just now with different people on their side or being entirely different characters due to their upbringings and role models now being dramatically altered than in the original story.

I get where you are coming from, but half the fun of this is reinterpreting what the characters would be like and how they interact with the new characters. And since I already talk about Izuku under All For One and I don't think that Tomura under All Might would be that different, I fill focused on morally swapped versions of the two.

In this version, Tomura would be found by All For One. While the Hero Commission saw a deviation to be destroyed or asset to be pull in, All For One would see someone so much like himself. Some kid who is poor, alone, and in need of guidance. All For One would take him under his wing like many of his personal misfits. Instead he would try to train him to hold back his power to prevent further destructive, giving him a lot more precision in how he applies "Decay". As Tomura grows up, he wants to be out and about, and not only doing "safe missions", mostly using his "Decay" to destroy documents and the like. Especially now that All for One seems to be getting weaker and older and wants to help his father figure. So now, it'd still be Tomura trying to strike out on his own and become more of his own person, but it's now from the overprotective All For One legitimately worried about Tomura's wellbeing and the harm he may cause.

On Izuku's side of things, he'd still be a Quirkless kid, lost in a world that doesn't seem to accept him. The perfect mark to join All Might's organization, especially since he works as a symbol of the kind of issues All Might is trying to fight against in his crusade. All Might would be filling his head with all kinds of ideas of being a hero of destroying the system. That Izuku must give up everything in order to become the leader he's meant to be, only getting "One for All" once he's "worthy". In the mean time, Izuku would be working under Sir Nighteye to help teach him the ins and outs of All Might's organization and physically training him to handle "One For All". Using his knack for Quirks and mind for leadership, he's able to organize whole pockets of people far more efficiently then before and giving them good match up with each other and their opponents, actually making some headway beyond whatever All Might is doing.

So in more meta terms, Izuku and Tomura would still be in opposition to one another and going through similar beats, but with some different themes. Instead of being good and evil, it'd be more the ideas of individual and collectivism as well as order and chaos. All For One and All Might still represent the extremes of these ideas, either being too controlling or way too anarchistic, with Izuku and Tomura starting to reflect the other. Tomura and the gang are able to become stronger through accepting and understanding themselves as individuals, shown by their growing rebellious nature against the Hero Commission like All Might always wanted. Meanwhile, Izuku is losing more and more of himself for what he sees as the greater good, just like what All For One was doing with his decades of sacrificing for the sake of the world. It's still incorporating how Tomura and Izuku have shades of one another while giving it a new spin.

1-A Pokémon List, just the updates.

After getting some inspiration I've added more mon's to their teams, so you'll just get the ones that have been updated, or have had a few lore extras added.

Mineta

Gulpin- A squidgy guy, and he’s just neat

Froakie- Bit of an odd choice but considering it’s Frubbles basically being the same sort of idea as his balls, rather a no brainer, also the thought of a Greninja smacking him with it's tongue to remind him that just because Tsu isn't there doesn't mean he can't get smacked.

Wanted to included a drawing Pokémon like Smeargle or Shroodle to tie into his surprising drawing skills but didn't, big sad.

Midoriya

Skidoo- Yes, I say this one is also perfect for him plus I like the idea that when it evolves it becomes his sort of main partner Pokémon as teacher helping him get to scenes or watching over his students, not a slouch in the battle department but isn’t meant to be the big guns.

I original came up with a bit of the Teams and idea after a comment on Wally's Masters theme noted the similarities between the two, I might have to try drawing or editing him into Wally's jumper. Also the Gogoat as a teacher would give him Ramos vibes, which I quite like.

Aoyama

Staryu- How I didn’t include this the first time round is a crime, like that is a Pokemon he would have distinctly odd with the star motif and yes, just yes

Mimikyu- An inversion of Izuku’s Eevee, an imposter, not belonging, being controlled by a shadowy being, works well from my view.

Funny thing is that Yuga might have one of the most balanced teams, Normal, Grass, Water/Psychic, Ghost/Fairy, like that is a good team in my options, you know that two of those have Dazzling Gleam.

Bakugou

Mankey- This man is too angry to die and when he does he comes right back, yeah you get the angry Monkey with the hair that looks like yours, you are getting an Annihilape you crazy bastard.

Katsuki gives of the intense vibes of someone who would do a playthrough with one Pokémon he over leveled, but he has to have an HM slave, or he got Really Angry not being able to beat Whitney and got himself a fighting type, which works honestly, plus I mean it's basically him as a Pokémon.

Ashido

Nidoran F- Pretty fun idea from @buffalobleucheez because yes, she should get the poison queen Pokémon, it just thematically works.

Had an expedition with Urakaka to get themselves Moon Stones, came back at around 11PM covered in dust and grime grinning like an idiot, turns out that had gotten into a fight with several Onyx.

Updated Bio, Yaoyorozu

Ralts- Perfect pick right off the bat the elegance and physic power would be a big plus for her, she'd show them the utmost kindness and care, also doesn’t become a Garevoir, no that is a Gallade, Female one at that, don’t screw with the swords.

Todoroki

Ponyta- Galarian as well, I just think it would be fun to reference the Fantasy AU in a way, also let him have a magical girl mon, he earned it!

And a Bonus.

Tetsutetsu

Rockruff- His is the exact same reasoning as Kiri, but his evolves into Day form to contrast.

Beldum- He is also meant to contrast being the other Pseudo legendary from Hoen, it only has Take Down, recklessly charging into combat even when it would hurt him, and due to its evolution, it is technically Four Beldums, in reference to his name being Tetsu repeated four times.

Did want to get a little clever, and have him be a bit of a mirror to Kiri, and Beldum happened to work perfectly like goddam I hadn't even considering the parallels until like 20 minutes ago, no I haven't worked out the rest of 1-B's teams I haven't really got a good gauge on a lot of them yet, but I will in due course, after some reading.

Hello! I'm here to request a romantic MHA matchup if you could please! I'm a 17 year old female but I look and act mature for my age(due to trauma) so I often get mistaked for being older than I am sometimes. Some good qualities of mine are maturity, being level headed, and being motherly/caring. Some bad traits can include bluntness, coming off as cold, and forgetfulness. I'm an introvert so i hate being around crowds and speaking infront of people I also have social anxiety so that doesn't help... I would much prefer staying at home watching anime and cuddling my pets rather than going out... More of my fun and loud side comes out around my friends or the right people. My hobbies or things I enjoy include hanging out with friends, swimming, listening to music, art(especially pottery), laying in bed on my phone, animals(I currently work with animals as a job), watching anime and other TV series, the ocean(I love water if I could choose a quirk it would be water based), stargazing(I love galaxies, the moon and stars I find everything so fascinating), the colors black, blue, purple, then finally the goth/emo style and aesthetic! Some dislikes of mine are bananas, P.E./sports(volleyball is okay tho), and men/father figures in my life-. My music taste includes the artists, The Neighborhood, Girl In Red, The Arctic Monkeys, Billie Eilish, Melanie Martinez, Alec Benjamin, Corpse, Cave town, Conan Gray and Cigarettes after sex! I'm omnisexual so either gender could work but in mha I lean towards having a stronger preference for the guys compared to the girls so do with that what you will. Traits I dislike in others are immaturity, impatience, disrespect, pushing boundaries, and not listening. Traits I look for in others are respect, kindness, understanding, patience, and humor. A bit about my appearance is I have longish black hair, pale skin, freckles, i'm a bit chubby, and tall(5'8). Im also very insecure and I doubt myself a lot but I'm trying to work on that! Some love languages include words of affirmation, quality time, physical touch and sometimes acts of service. I have mental and physical health issues so I would need someone who could accept and be able to handle that. I would also need someone that would accept that I have trauma as well. I would want this relationship to be a two way thing so its very important that they give the same effort I'm giving into the relationship. IZUKU MIDORYA!!!

I think Midoriya is the one who will best be able to heal your heart. You've both been through such hardships in your lives, Izuku would be the one to help you overcome you struggles and traumas with his determination and big heart.

When you first come to UA, you're a bit like Todoroki was, closed off and kept to yourself. The girls tried to pull you into their activities, and you would to avoid being rude, but you were quiet and preferred to keep to yourself.

Midoriya didn't like how you were alone all the time and seemed to be hurting. he wouldn't push and make you uncomfortable, but he would try and make more of an effort to be your friend.

He would offer for you guys, to train, eat lunch, and study together, but you would usually say no. Until one day during the internships (yes you guys ended up at the same agency by pure coincidence) he took a hit for you.

After you guys got back, your mama bear switch turned on and you made him sit down so you could heal his wounds. You lectured him on how reckless he was and asked him why he would do such a dangerous thing for you, and he said it was because he cared about you.

After that you soften up a bit. You would take Midoriya up on his offers to hang out, although at first it would only just be the two of you. Over time however he starts to introduce you to the rest of group deku and you all become a very tight nit circle of friends.

As the friends to lovers trope tends to go, as you two got closer Midoryia started to fall for you. Now as brave as he may well be we all know that he can be an awkward little nerd, so when he realized this, he started panicking.

He goes to his friends for help, but they don't seem to be able to help much. Idia and Todoroki don't know a lot about romance, and he is too shy Asui and Ururaka (although they had figured it out already) so he goes to the he looks up to the most: Almight.

Almight's advice for him was that all he had to do was speak from the heart and be himself. So that's what he did. He walked up to you one day and asked if you could speak in private where he confessed his feelings for you.

You and Midoriya's dates usually consist of sharing each other's interests. You guys will watch your favorite animes together (sometimes he will act out the scenes to make you laugh). He may not be super into art, but he loves every single masterpiece you make for him. He also likes to take you out to eat, but you guys eat outside or take it to go and eat it somewhere nice to avoid large crowds.

You also scold Midoriya for hurting himself all the time. That he can't save anyone if he doesn't take care of himself. And he takes care of you and allows your mature motherly facade to come down so you can be vulnerable for once and feel safe.

All in all, you guys are very wholesome. You understand each other's needs and take care of others as well. You cover each other's backs on and off the battlefield.

Sorry this isn't as lengthy as the others im writing this at almost 3 am but I really want to stick to schedule so these can be done on time especially the anons to make sure they'll see them.

Scary dog privilege

I'm just listing characters that I think are the definition of scary dog privilege.

Bakugou Katsuki:

I don't think there's anyone reading this and Katsuki didn't come first to their mind as a scary dog. Although we have seen many memes and jokes about him being Pomeranian, we can all agree that when he is angry he is capable of looking like a scary Doberman or Rottweiler.

Bakugou would be protective over you when you are in a public place. He would growl at anyone who bothers you. Just make a slight facial expression of discomfort and he will immediately jump. He will always hold your hand in his, not letting you move away from him.

Deku:

Listen to me first, then comment on anything!

Izuku is my favorite bnha character and I'm less or more tired of hearing that he's like a puppy, a cute bunny, constantly crying and blah, blah, blah... and suddenly everyone forgets that this motherfucker has kicked so many villain asses! He is a respectful man who is shy, but if you are his target he will destroy you.

I think we can all agree that he is very caring and protective of his s/o. He doesn't find you weak or that you wouldn't be able to cope on your own without him, but it makes him feel useful and calm by keeping an eye on you, knowing that he can protect you if is necessary.

Izuku would rarely raise his voice or use force against someone, usually he is very understanding, but I would say that he will always intervene if someone bothers you. And I don't think anyone would fight a man who could kill them with just one finger.

Mezo Shoji:

Although he is one of the calmest and most collected people in class 1-A, his appearance radiates a scary dog vibe.

Which I like, but it also makes me sad, because we all know that he is insecure because of his appearance. He wears a mask for this, because he has scared a little girl in his hometown and does not want to scare more people.

On the other hand, it is easy for him to protect you and make sure you are well. You are the person who loves him unconditionally and likes his appearance, so he no longer cares what other people think about his appearance.

I can imagine a scene in which he walks with his s/o and people just make way for him when they see him walking next to you, moving away from you two so as not to bother you.

Rumi Usagiyama (Miruko):

Even if she is 159cm (5'2) she is able to lift a whole elephant!

She also has a pretty wild personality and is protective over you, especially as the No.5 hero she always worries about you and your safety.

Due to her status as a hero in the top 10, many people have witnessed or watched videos seen what she is capable of, so I would imagine the big opportunity for people to move a few meters away from her when she is in a public place with her s/o so that she does not consider anyone a danger to you.

Enji Todoroki (Endeavor):

Do I need to explain?

I think his fans themselves would run out of his way if they saw him walk up to them with you by his side.

Although he is not one of the most physical people in love, he would hold your hand in his, giving sharp glances to the people around him not to get too close.

His face screams "be away"

Nana Shimura:

Villain Hunt Arc Meta: All For One’s Horrific Guide to Methodically Breaking Down Your Local OFA Holder

Ft. Turning the ‘Overpoweredness’ of OFA into a Setback, and AFO’s Successful Manipulations Of Midoriya Izuku

In which I also give AFO too much credit for all the pain he’s probably caused, and theorize that his plans to break Izuku actually started getting enacted even before he’d escaped Tartarus.

(A.k.a. me loving the angst because this is really good angst writing, but also hating it because the manga doesn’t come with a Angst with A Happy Ending tag unless you count Izuku’s ‘this is the story of how I became the greatest hero’ which isn’t really a guarantee of happiness )

So. What an arc! In the span of ten chapters (starting from the end of the War arc) Hori delivered a full-on Villain-looking, Vigilante Midoriya Izuku. Congratulations, Horikoshi, for finally introducing Akatani Mikumo!

The fast pacing and lack of breather panels are so fitting for this arc truly. AFO never gave them a moment’s rest. Yes, from henceforth as he’d promised... It’s always going to be his turn.

Izuku is making amazing progress with unlocking the full power of One For All. In his words, his abilities might as well already be on par with what a healthier All Might could do, and with no recoil to boot. Plus, there’s only one last quirk to unlock. For villain fights, I don’t think we need to worry about him losing, or him breaking anymore bones at this time.

Which, some might argue, makes Izuku too ‘OP.’

To start with, I want to talk first about the ‘overpoweredness’ of the One For All quirk. It’s a wonderful quirk truly, having inspired and amazed so many because of its sheer power. Used well, it could grant instant victories and restore the people’s wavering faith to the heroes. Because with a quirk like that on your side, everything’s going to be alright, right? There’s always gonna be that bit of hope that something is still strong enough to stand against the looming evil...right?

Yeah. That’s what the people who’d lived under All Might’s Era of Peace thought so too. History repeats.

OFA’s ‘OP-ness’ is both a great blessing and a great burden.

Here are some points on how the narrative has made OFA's 'overpoweredness' a setback:

1. All For One—that bastard—exploits the urge that comes with OFA. Just as ‘AFO the quirk’s’ goal is to steal OFA, OFA’s job is to defeat AFO, and Izuku is sacrificing himself to its cause.

Here’s another thing I want to point out: The conclusion that the heroes drew about AFO planning to capture Midoriya Izuku alive? In rereading, I’m starting to believe it’s nothing but a mere assumption of his plans. Aside from the deal made with Lady Nagant—of which I think AFO didn’t take seriously anyway and set her up for failure— (and while we as readers are already aware of his true intentions to wear Izuku down) it’s weird that nowhere had AFO directly mentioned to Izuku that he’s going to kidnap him and take his quirk from him.

2. OFA made Izuku so brilliant (e.g. Pros and former Pros alike going “This kid...”) that they really can't help but place all their hopes on him. Sighs. In an ideal world, this would be a dream come true of Izuku getting his due credit for all his heroic achievements Pro heroes have started to do to Izuku what they’ve done all their lives to All Might--which is to put him on the pedestal, while they fall back to cover him like guards/safety net. Hence, falling back to the One Pillar Model mindset.

3. OFA makes Izuku untouchable, not only to the villains, but also to his allies. Prime material to reinforce isolation. And if Izuku doesn't want to be caught, he won't make it easy for either side.

4. OFA IS SUS AF, OKAY? What are the Holders doing?! While gaining access to them makes it easier and convenient to have personal trainers in handling OFA, the vestiges prove to add a lot to Izuku’s mental load. If they’d allowed Izuku to come to the point of being caked with blood and filth, they’re not doing very well at guiding him. Realize that most of their arc interactions with Izuku is Quirk Talk. They, of all people, should know how AFO’s machinations work! Hey First, for the love of god, warn Izuku! He’s showing so many signs of being manipulated that you should be picking up on. please /sobs ;;

Tbf, like, I’m pretty sure that the Holders haven’t been as mentally okay either, which would feed into Izuku’s current mindset.

Now that the setbacks have been listed, let’s dive in to AFO’s plans to toy with Midoriya Izuku.

PHASE 1: Pre-Tartarus Breakout

Speaking of OFA being sus, there’s something that has been niggling at the back of my mind.

All For One basically tells Izuku: “You were my main interest that entire time I was in prison”. So, to pass the time in Tartarus (since he can’t use any(?) of his quirks), AFO has been doing nothing but apparently daydreaming and designing a personal hell for the Ninth Holder during that entire period. HOWEVER, it also made me wonder…

…Even before he’d broken out, had AFO made any moves at all in enacting his plans to break Izuku?

Yeah?

And here’s the kicker: he says that before Blackwhip bursted out.

AFO is a master manipulator. Assuming that Izuku doesn’t have any latent AFO quirk (for whatever reason *coughs* maybe dfo if you're a believer) or that Quirk Singularity has anything to do with it, what is the trigger to Izuku suddenly having access to Blackwhip?

I’d argue that it is All For One himself.

Why? What’s his goal? If you notice during the Joint Training arc, Izuku is feeling pretty confident about his progress. He’s rather happy and feeling blessed, and he is making leaps and bounds with base power OFA.

AFO can’t have that. He can’t allow the Ninth Holder to become too emotionally stable, or else he’d have a stronger will. So by somehow activating Blackwhip, AFO makes Izuku feel like he hasn’t made any progress with his quirk at all. During the evaluations, Izuku mentions that he still needs a lot to work on, and while not all of it is visible, with the way he behaves, it’s pretty evident that his self-confidence has taken a rather large hit.

But, wait! If AFO had tampered with OFA during the JT arc, paving the way to unlocking the rest (like he’d also done during the War arc when he tried to ‘steal’ it then), then wouldn’t AFO be sabotaging himself since he’d be making Izuku a more formidable opponent?

Sure. Except that the quirks inside OFA are mostly useless when it comes to the mental part of the fighting. The only thing they’re useful for is for the current Holder to be able to play keep-away in the physical realm. And AFO could easily just find counters for those through his work on Tomura.

You know how else the situation becomes advantageous for AFO? With every quirk unlocked, Izuku’s goalposts keep on getting away from him, and Izuku will always feel like he isn’t ready or prepared enough. Izuku will push and push himself to master OFA to its fullest, to become more powerful, at the cost of his mental/emotional stability and physical wellbeing as he wears himself down.

And every time Izuku grew more powerful, and became more ‘OP,’ he is burdened with all the aforementioned setbacks that came with it. He could be the most powerful person in the world, but it’s all for naught if he doesn’t take care of himself. This plan is both a high risk and high reward on AFO’s part, and as of the moment, with a bloody Izuku staggering all over, AFO is visibly reaping these high rewards.

PHASE 2: Post-Tartarus Breakout

He’s going to toy with Izuku until Izuku fucking breaks. What follows is his series of actions that instills the desired responses from Midoriya Izuku. Let’s see how the master manipulator plays this game of chess, shall we?

Izuku’s plan: Reach out to villains and try to save them.

AFO’s counter: Kill off those who turn their back against villainy and/or acknowledge Izuku as a true hero.

Izuku’s resulting response: Stop reaching out to villains. Gain an instant victory and move on.

After all, what do you get when you block a hero from showing sympathy? You get an unfeeling living weapon.

Izuku’s plan: Work with the top pro heroes to bring down AFO.

AFO’s counter: Make plans that will serve to highlight how the top pros are just slowing Izuku down. (e.g. Making moves while it’s raining, so as to divide them, but also to bring out No. 1 Hero Endeavor’s "slowness" in the rain. Nope, I don’t think that’s a throwaway line at all.)

Izuku’s resulting response: Grows more reckless, often leading the charge.

Izuku’s plan: Track AFO down.

AFO’s counter: Lead them to dead-ends. Or when they do supposedly reach something, endanger them.

Izuku’s resulting response: His tunnel vision worsens, as he grows more desperate.

Izuku’s plan: All Might following him around is okay since it would help All Might from worrying so much, and Izuku could simultaneously keep an eye on and protect All Might.

AFO’s counters: There are a lot to really fuck with this bond, damn you AFO.

Taint that passing the torch memory of ‘You’re Next.’

Declare that All Might no longer interests him. Liar. He outright stated before that he’s one for keeping a grudge

Send another assassin to Izuku [Underlying Message: You yourself are a walking danger zone to those whom you dearly care for.]

Izuku’s resulting response:

Interpret that memory of ‘You’re Next’ as taking up the position of being AFO’s shiny new plaything, and therefore supposedly sparing All Might from the torment (Unfortunately, making Izuku push AM away is just part of the torment ;A;)

Think that AM is no longer in the direct line of fire as long as AFO focuses on Izuku

Finally, push his last line of morale support away, and completely isolate himself.

Btw, I wonder how All Might feels about Izuku using Nana's quirk to get away from him.

The suffering doesn’t end.

Izuku’s plan: Save people.

AFO’s counters: (possibly offscreen) Send more villains and assassins to torment Izuku some more with the knowledge that he can’t save them. Sending villains out also puts innocents in danger.

Izuku’s resulting response: He won’t stop for anything. He won’t sleep, won’t eat, won’t slow down. He will always do his best to save as long as someone is in danger.

His body will keep on moving and moving and MOVING on its own.

--- All For One is very effective as a supervillain. He has managed to make the heroes think that his only goal is to capture Izuku alive for his quirk. He has Izuku right where he wants him: dancing to his tune at the palm of his hand, utterly toyed with, left with no escape in sight.

Psychologically vaulted.

PHASE 3

And so, if Izuku is being manipulated to drive himself further and further into self-destruction, what then is there left for All For One to do?

So much more. Because, my god, I think AFO has mastered the art of traumatizing the OFA Holders.

All For One once told All Might, “I will destroy all that you’ve protected.” And boy, is he delivering. He's definitely not done with AM btw.

First, he destroys All Might's image. And he is manipulating Izuku to drive himself to that point. To looking into his absolute worst.

And when that point arrives, AFO will hammer the final nail home.

Something like...

BEHOLD

JAPAN’S SYMBOL OF PEACE.

And oh, how it'll hurt. To see All Might's pride and joy be flaunted about as looking nothing like a hero to the masses, for him to be so utterly humiliated.

"See what I did to All Might's successor."

AFO will be banking upon the possibility that the angry masses will not want to be saved by whom they're tricked into viewing as someone that's the cause of all the pain. Izuku might have the willpower to stay true to his resolve, but with him on the verge of total breakdown, what would happen when he is shunned by the very people he is trying to help?

I once wrote a post about how the current events seem to be a bastardization of Izuku's wildest fantasies: he's working with the top pros, he has the most powerful quirk, and he's working with All Might (whom technically acts as a sidekick to him rn).

AFO has warped all that into a never-ending nightmare. And Izuku...

Izuku is really in need of saving.

Last thoughts:

Let me just say that it shouldn't be a competition about who gets to get through to Izuku. Right now, he’s gonna need all the help he can get, and it can’t be delivered by only one or two people. Saving Izuku is going to be a team effort, a solid support system that sees Izuku as their classmate/friend/student/actual person that they care about. And there’s sufficient space for that.

More hands reaching out means more chances to catch him if he falls.

Who is the most needy while in heat?

I decided to write for a few characters for different categories: Clingiest, Horniest, Territorial and Requires Support. Enjoy~

Who is the clingiest:

1. Itachi – Itachi has only ever had soft heats in his life(heats that are not sexually, but instead emotionally charged). He didn’t have his first heat until he was already part of the Akatsuki and didn’t feel safe enough for a proper heat. His health also isn’t the best, so his body knows to have soft heats rather than normal heats. Because he only has these types of heats, they are very strong. He feels a constant urge to be by your side, ideally with you touching him at all times. He can’t take suppressants because they mess with his illness, so he can’t minimise the effects. He spends the two days holed up in his room, the door locked and sealed shut. He won’t let you leave his nest much, growling and whining if you try. His instincts are screaming at him that he has to protect you and that you have to protect him. He can get a little addled and confused because the impulses are too strong. He’s extremely clingy in heat and he hates it. He always feels embarrassed afterwards.

2. Izuku – Izuku is prone to crying and feeling very rejected if you neglect him during his preheat or heat. He feels the sting of rejection very strongly and feeling abandoned during a heat is… not good for omegas to put it lightly. It can make them sick if it’s serious enough. So, Izuku will definitely try and keep you in his nest as much as possible, asking wordlessly to be carried with you if you need to leave for a moment. Going to work or leaving the house during his heats (even when he’s on suppressants) is a no-no for him. He will do anything to get you to stay with him, including but not limited to hiding your keys, seducing you, and begging.

3. Mammon – From the second he’s in preheat, he literally will not leave you alone. He’s very attention starved, but his slight tsundere tendencies keep him from acting on his need for affection. His heat and preheat remove the tsundere tendencies and make him even more desperate for attention. He’s hanging off of his Alpha constantly, following them around and sleeping in their room. He enjoys laying on top of them while they stroke his hair or rub his back. Will growl away anyone who tries to take you from him. If the growling doesn’t work, he’ll whine at you to stay with him because he knows you can’t refuse him when he’s like that.

4. Kaoru – He doesn’t like how clingy he is, but it’s very uncomfortable for an omega to ignore their heat urges, so he doesn’t bother trying to resist it. He’s very prone to loneliness when he’s in heat or preheat, so he likes it if you’re with him as much as possible. He will spend most the time sitting on your lap, innocently and not so innocently.

5. L – He isn’t particularly fussed about constant physical affection, but he wants you to be in the same room as him at all times. He constantly turns away from his work to make sure you’re still sitting in the room with him, and in the evenings, he likes if he can sit on your lap while he works. His heats are reduced from suppressants, and his libido is very low generally, but he still likes to make sure his alpha is safe and with him during his heat and be surrounded by his alpha’s scent.

Who is the most territorial during heat:

1. Sasuke – Will straight up growl at anyone who gets too close to you both, and it won’t end well if someone shows up at his house when he’s in heat. Sasuke immediately views whoever it is as a threat and would likely try and attack them, especially if they were a stranger or someone he didn’t like. He is a lot less stressed during this time if you both just hole up at home for his preheat and heat. One of the reasons he makes his nest in a walk in wardrobe is because it’s an easily defendable place.

2. Shikamaru – He has to have an arm around you or vice versa at all times. He makes sure you always smell like him during his preheats, just as a warning to other omegas. In heat, he gets very intense and caught up in the feelings, so interruptions from outsiders will be jarring and he’s likely to react aggressively.

3. Shinsou – Is very paranoid when in heat and preheat. He gets nervous about people coming to try and hurt him and his mate while he’s weak, so he doesn’t like anyone he doesn’t know around you or him. Shinsou is fiercely protective of his family and his alpha. When he’s actually in heat, he would probably try to attack anyone who got too close.

4. Belphie – Likes to just lay down and sleep with you when he’s in preheat, and whenever any of his brothers (or anyone else) try and get you to move, he growls them away, wrapping his arms around your chest to stop you from going anywhere. Would definitely bite someone if they were brave enough to try and remove him from you by force. When he’s in heat, he uses compulsion charms to keep people away from the attic where he likes to spend his heat with you.

5. Diavolo – He can’t keep his hands or lips off of his alpha during preheat, but not just in a horny way, mainly in a ‘they’re mine’ kind of way. He likes to show off his relationship to others as a warning to stay away. He is delightfully smug if you return the treatment.

6. Kusuo – He pretends he isn’t being territorial when he’s in preheat, but whenever you end up in conversation with someone, Kusuo is just suddenly standing next to you, I wonder how that happened? He also makes a way greater effort to ditch anyone who might interrupt his alone time with you. He turns his friends away if they show up at his door when he’s in preheat. When in heat, he gets off on the ‘you’re mine and I’m yours’ aspect.

7. Light – This boy in greedy for your attention when he’s in preheat, and very bitter if he doesn’t get enough of it. He directs most of his anger at anyone who he perceives as taking you away from him. He will lie and manipulate others away from you both during this time with zero hesitation or regret. Would be possessive if you gave too much attention to a book while he’s in heat.

Who needs the most support:

1. Alois – I headcanon that Alois has some specific heat related trauma, that I’m not going to get into right now, that impacts him greatly. His alpha is his protection. He only feels safe during his heat if you’re there with him. If you leave him alone, even just for a minute, he will panic, fear mixing with his already heat addled brain. For that reason, he needs a great deal of support, he needs a gentle touch and a constant presence.

2. Shouto – His father paid to have him on illegal grade suppressant without him knowing just after Shouto’s quirk came in. Endeavour got the quirk he wanted, but not the dynamic he wanted, so he tried to change that. He experiences similar heats to Neji when he first comes off of suppressants. He’s so sensitive everywhere that it hurts. He wants to be touched so badly, but it hurts him. His alpha needs to work with him slowly to help him overcome the sensitivity.

3. Neji – I mentioned before that due to the suppressant abuse that was inflicted on Neji as a child, his heats can be very painful, especially at first, much like Shouto. For a more in-depth analysis, I have headcanons on Neji’s suppressant abuse listed on my pinned masterlist.

4. Keigo (Hawks) – He suffers from really bad paranoia during his heats. At first, it’s unclear what’s triggering the paranoia, but eventually it becomes clear that his treatment in the hands of the Commission have left him some nasty mental scars. When Keigo is in heat, he needs to have the door locked and bolted, the windows lock and covered with thick curtains and blinds, he needs to be rid of all technology or anything a person could use to contact him, and he needs all supplies to be in his nest with him so that neither you nor him have to leave that one room. It’s why the room he nests in must have an ensuite. He tends to have soft heats (emotionally charge rather than sexually charged) because his paranoia makes his body think he’s in too much danger to have a proper heat. It’s lucky that his heats normally only last for a day.

Who is the horniest:

1. Sebastian – He barely manages to keep it together during the day when he has to serve Ciel, but at night? You better be fucking him so well that he can’t stay coherent. He needs a full eight hours of sex before the heat withdraws enough for him to focus. A demon’s heat is very intensive after all.

2. Kakashi – Every little thing sets him off when he’s in heat. Maybe you knotted him and the heat is subsiding a little, but then you bit your lip or stretch in a certain way, and immediately he’s consumed by his heat again. He struggles to keep it in his trousers long enough to hydrate and sleep. Sometimes he needs to cockwarm his alpha just to be able to calm his instincts enough to sleep.

3. Tamaki A – He gets so horny at the peaks of his heat that any and all nervousness completely vanishes. He will beg his alpha shamelessly to get what he needs. He cannot control his voice at all, so you better hope your neighbours are forgiving, because Amajiki shouts some filthy things when he feels really good.

4. Asmo – No one is surprised that he is completely and overwhelmingly horny for his entire heat. Most omegas have down moments for resting and hydrating while their heat isn’t so bad. Not Asmo. His heat lasts for three days (a maximum amount) and is intense for all of it. You have to make him to eat and drink something while he begs and writhes on your lap for you to fuck him.

5. Kiba – Has a very high sex drive in general, even when he’s not in heat, so it’s no surprise that he’s basically insatiable when he’s in heat. He jumps his alpha five times a day when he’s in preheat, and every hour when he’s in heat. If you can’t provide for him as often as he needs, he will absolutely buy a knotted dildo and use it while he’s on top of you. Most of the time that convinces his alpha to help him get off.

You sighed in frustration at your desk that was fully covered with a mountain of papers. It’s been over year now since you’ve been assigned to the notorious Bakugo, Katsuki case; and you’ve made little to no progress on catching the pesky fucking villain. You were losing your patience by the day. Especially since it felt like a personal attack on your ego that you still haven’t managed to pin this guy down. The great detective Y/N, Y/LN getting played and taken a fool by the villain himself. It’s not like you’ve made no progress though. There were times, many instances in fact, when you managed to pin the villain down. The constant face to face encounters only ending with the villain toying with you and taunting you. It’s honesty a surprise that you’re still alive considering all the chances he has had to kill you. Condescending dick, you were sure he was getting off by the chase. This all seemed to be a game to him and it infuriated you even more since you were practically entertaining it. He was thriving off the little interactions with the quirkless detective.

The way he would cockily stride his way to you with that big smirk smeared across his face. Eyes devouring your body that left an unsteady chill run down your spine. His presence held such power and intimidation that you couldn’t help but take steps back with every step he took forward. You always felt like a deer in headlights whenever he swaggered towards you. No amount of experience or expertise will ever get you accustomed to his predatory gaze.

“Go figure they’d send a quirkless bitch my way. They must really hate’ya.” He said with a rather amusing look, never breaking his eye contact with you. He grabbed a piece of your hair twisting it softly between his fingers, as if he were inspecting it. You could’ve sworn he was sniffing it too.

Yea, you were quirkless but you managed to hold your own ground. Having to work ten times as hard, having to prove yourself among your peers and having to earn the respect and position you have worked so tirelessly for years. While being quirkless was a hinderance or handicap as some would say, it was a mountain that you decided needed to be climbed. You reached its peak and planted your flag years ago. This title wasn’t given to you mindlessly. You dedicated tears, sweat, and blood to get to where you are now. Gained recognition from higher up heroes themselves and even managed to get assigned to Bakugo’s case; the most wanted and powerful villain in Japan. Now, you weren’t in denial either, you were well aware you stood no chance against the hero toe to toe. Hell, even the top tier heroes themselves barely made it out alive. You were simply here to pinpoint his locations and set up an area for his arrest. What seemed to be a simple task ended up as a wide scale massacre with Bakugo skimping through all the heroes nonchalantly. It was a complete blood bath. All the pro heroes who were posted for defense that day were to be blown up to pieces; the graphic scene till this day haunts you in your sleep. Sleepless nights and paranoia became a norm, with the image of him dripping with blood casually stalking towards you was something that you have not been able to shake out of your head for months now.

He had forced you into an alley that day. You were trying your best to steady your breathing and figure out an attempt to get the fuck out of this predicament. Your eyes skimmed for any opening, avoiding his intense gaze, looking anywhere but his blooded face.

You felt your back hit against the wall. He was now sickly close to you, you placed your head down in shame looking at his shoes rather than his face. Knowing damn well there was no way out of this situation. Beads of sweat ran down your back and colored your forehead. He slammed both his hands against the wall, causing you to jump, your head now trapped in between his forearms. His body hovered over, the smell of blood forcing its way into your nose. The intense body heat radiating off of him, had your head spinning. You felt frozen in place, every worst case scenario rushing through your mind, trying to stay steady while silently sobbing to yourself.

“My eyes are up here slut.” He gripped your chin roughly forcing your eyes to meet his. You took in the rough image of the villain in front of you. You saw the spiky unruly hair sticking out in every direction, some parts drenched in the blood of his victims. His sharp facial features looked even more intimidating under this light, little scars freckled his skin here and there scattered throughout; and his 5 o'clock shadow appearing in patches. It was his eyes that took you by surprise most. None of the pictures posted online, none of the documents you saw ever matched what appeared in front of you. The dark ruby colored eyes stared curiously back at you, analyzing your every move. The stare felt strangely intimate, and it probably would’ve been considering the circumstance. Y/N wasn’t sure if she was really fully conscious of what was happening, but having him so close was making her feel unnerved. Hell, even as a villain there are many people who admire and drool over the criminal. But seeing him this up close drenched in the blood of your peers was when the fear and guilt washed over you and you quickly snapped out of his trance. You were brought back to your senses and reminded of your current predicament. The images of the heroes fighting and dying at the hands of this animal quickly flooded in. Anger now overwhelming your sense. You reminded yourself that you were quirkless, not helpless. And with that thought, you broke your intense gaze away from him, slapping his hand off your chin and quickly spitting in his face. The action caught him rather off guard and you took this delayed response to knee him in the balls and bolt for it “FUCKING BITCH!” He roared.

Ever since then your encounters with Bakugo have been rather odd to say the least. You didn’t really know how else to describe it. You couldn’t tell what he was thinking. This was a total 180 from his usual behavior and tactic and with each encounter becoming more unseemly; Y/N thought it was best to take a break from the scandalous villain. You decided on no longer participating on the missions. You couldn’t shake off the eerie feeling of this situation and where you were once so headstrong stepping into the battlefield, your courage and pride was stripped from you. Now the only thing you prioritize was staying the hell away from him. So with whatever information you did find on the villain was quickly handed over to the hero agency without any hesitation.

After a few months of you steering clear from the villain, his crime scenes were becoming more brutal and graphic by the week. His killing sprees drastically increasing and the victims were piling up. Y/N couldn’t help but to let guilt consume her. Thoughts of Bakugo infiltrated Y/N’s mind. From the moment she woke up, to while she’d desperately attempt to sleep. You felt yourself slowly going insane. As if your movements were being watched at all times. Your mental state began taking a toll on you and was affecting your work. You could no longer focus on anything for a span of time without the mere image of a bloodied Bakugo appearing in your head.

His case was one you guiltily found compassion in. One of the top students in UA Academy showing nothing but absolute potential to become a top ranking hero crumbled and fell to villainy after his long time friend Izuku Midoriya, was killed trying to save him. It appeared the guilt ate him up inside and as a result, Bakugo quickly blamed the heroes for being weak and unable and decided on taking matters to his own hands by killing everyone involved that day in Midoriya’s death. This paired on with him living in an abusive household led to what he is now, at least that’s what Y/N assumed. Y/N’s heart felt torn in two feeling somewhat sympathetic towards him due to his rough upbringing and traumatic past but either way it did not excuse the atrocities he was committing now. You felt yourself falling deeper into the rabbit hole because of this man. You finally decided this couldn’t continue on any longer. You requested a transfer, figure you cut your losses with Bakugo’s case and move on with your life.

It had been two weeks since you’ve transferred departments and moved into the inner city of Tokyo. It was new, it was adventurous, and it was a step forward. A perfect way to start fresh and move on. You felt the withdrawals from Bakugo’s case every now and then, mainly the guilt consuming you at night or whenever you saw the news appear on TV with a new crime he had committed. You did your best to avoid those emotions though. He was no longer your problem and you did everything you could anyways. Me, clapping my hands: SUPPORT COURSE IZUKU! SUPPORT COURSE IZUKU!! ...WITH A PROSTHETIC!!

I’m sure people have had this idea before but I wanted to put my own spin on it!! And now for the info:

-Izuku's been fascinated with heroes since a young age. However, after finding out he was quirkless, he refused to give up, and switched gears to start investing in the support field. He figured if he couldn't be a pro hero he could at least do his best to help them and be a hero in his own way.

-Izuku's an absolute GENIUS when it comes to inventing--he's on par with Hatsume. However, Hatsume focuses more on support items that break convention and are very innovative and unique. Izuku's focus is more on items that actually help heroes on the field and support their bodies, and items that also allow them to use their quirks to their full extent while still being able to control them properly. (Basically, Izuku's gadgets act as a control stick for heroes that go all out i.e. Toshi.) He also makes a lot of gadgets that support disabled heroes, because--

-Izuku has a prosthetic arm! It's his right one. This was the result of a villain attack that he got involved in after meeting All Might. Toshi blames himself for what happened to Izuku because he couldn't get there in time. He and Izuku are very close--Izuku knows the secret behind Toshi's appearance and he knows about One For All. Mirio is the one to inherit OFA in this AU--so Izuku's very close to him as well! Izuku makes support items for both Toshi and Mirio, to support their quirks. Izuku's gadgets have saved Toshi in a pinch a hundred times over, and are designed to support him when he needs that extra push when he's already reached his limit.

There is more ahead~

-After Izuku lost his arm in the villain accident, Bakugou does a total 180 and starts treating him better. From the start their relationship was less strained than in canon bc Izuku went into doing stuff for support early on, and Bakugou didn't see this as much as a threat compared to if Izuku still wanted to be a pro hero despite being quirkless. Nowadays Bakugou is VERY protective of Izuku--and both of them have reached a point where they're genuine friends. Izuku teases Bakugou a lot and easily snarks back at him when he's being a little shit. Bakugou won't ever admit it openly but Izuku is his best friend :') He cares about him a lot. He used to defend Izuku constantly back in middle school after the accident, but Izuku soon learned to stand up for himself.

-Going off of that, Bakugou taught Izuku how to fight physically, and they try to spar once or twice a week if they can! It's good practice. Izuku was awful at it at first especially since his sense of balance was off due to the weight of the prosthetic, but Bakugou's a good teacher despite all his shouting lmao. Now Izuku can easily hand his ass to him if he gets into it enough. He can handle himself in a fight pretty brilliantly, even against villains, and Class 1-A quickly learns not to underestimate him.

-Bakugou refuses to get support items from anybody else but Izuku. He bitches at Izuku a lot but Izuku always takes his advice--Bakugou usually offers good tips and pointers on how to improve his gauntlets! Baku always says that while Izuku fucks up all the time (false), he at least trusts him enough to get the job done, while he scorns the rest of the support course fnjdsdd

-Since Izuku isn't in Class 1-A in this AU--guess who is? Yeah, it's Shinsou! Besides Baku Shinsou is probably Izuku's other closest friend, along with Hatsume! Shinsou's got a crush on Izuku and probably knows it won't be reciprocated, but he's fine with that. If Shinsou isn't in class he's most likely hanging out in the development studio with Izuku and Hatsume. The three of them are kinda like a mini Big Three haha, they've got a reputation around UA

-Do not put Izuku and Hatsume in the same room together or they'll bounce insane ideas off of each other and create outrageous things. They get each other super fired up LMAO and go to each other for advice when they need it!

-Izuku has the biggest, most obvious and absolutely endearing crush on one (1) Shouto Todoroki. Bakugou teases him about it CONSTANTLY. The reason for this is because they actually met back in middle school, before Izuku lost his arm--and Todoroki just made a really memorable impression on him bc he was the first person to ever treat him really kindly (they bumped into each other on accident because Izuku was getting chased by bullies, Izuku scraped up his hands, Todoroki chased off the bullies and then iced his injuries, and then they had a really deep conversation about heroes and encouraged each other). Todoroki kinda becomes Izuku's first love in that sense;; ofc it's nothing super serious but Izuku definitely feels all floaty and happy about it afterward. When Izuku gets into UA and notices that Todoroki's in the hero course he almost has a stroke because 1. Izuku gave him encouragement to get into UA waaaay back then and he's shocked Todoroki actually took his advice, 2. He finds out that Todoroki is in fact Todoroki bc they never gave each other their names, so Izuku's Shook his "first love" is actually the son of Endeavor, and 3. Todoroki's grown. He was pretty back in middle school but now. He's hot. HE'S HOT OH NO. After that Izuku keeps noticing him and hears rumors that Todoroki is an ice cold prince type character that has no real feelings. Izuku's like "Someone who takes the time out of their day to save you, heal your hands, and encourage you on your path to be a hero can't be that type of person" so Izuku just KNOWS Todo's actually a very kind boy. Izuku keeps watching him and gets super smitten after the Sports Festival ;) But he's like "He's practically famous, he'd never notice somebody like me, he probably doesn’t even remember me from middle school, haha" (so it's a bit like a celebrity crush). Shinsou and Hatsume bug him about his crush just to see him get flustered and it's very cute lol

-The second time Izuku and Todoroki meet is a goddamn mess and technically counts as their first because Todoroki has a shit memory and can't connect Izuku's face to the boy he met in middle school (also that boy definitely had two flesh arms and Izuku only has one). Todoroki walks in right as one of Izuku's gadgets explodes, absolutely showering him in dust and soot. Izuku freaks out and apologizes a lot while he helps him clean up (while Hatsume is teasing in the background). Note that Izuku's only wearing like a tanktop and sweats, and his hair is all messy and swept back especially since he's wearing his trademark goggles, he's covered in sweat and dirt, he has a really cool looking prosthetic (and Todoroki didn't realize he'd have a thing for that but apparently he does), and Izuku's really fucking toned so Todoroki has a big ol Gay Crisis right there in the development studio. Izuku is INCREDIBLY attractive and Todoroki doesn't know what to do with that info. After Izuku cleans up and manages to get an order for a support item out of Todo, Todo leaves and immediately texts Momo saying, "Yaoyorozu, I think I just had my gay awakening" and on the other side of campus, Momo chokes on her drink. Meanwhile back in the studio Izuku is SCREAMING like "Oh my GOD did that really just happen--did Shouto Todoroki walk in, get blasted by one of my inventions going haywire, let me clean him up and TOUCH HIS CHEST, HATSUME, I GOT TO FEEL HIM UP, and THEN HE ASKED ME TO TAKE AN ORDER, I'M GOING INTO CARDIAC ARREST. -It isn't until their third meeting that Izuku realizes Todoroki doesn't seem to remember him at ALL. And it stings, a lot (but he kinda figured this would happen esp since Todo didn’t recognize him the last time they talked), but he's still happy for the chance to know him now, and get to design support items for him!! Meanwhile Todo's like. Starting to catch on that maybe he DOES know Izuku after all? He isn't sure? But he's definitely falling for him.

I’ve got more headcanons and stuff but yeah this is all the basics!!! I got so excited to flesh this AU out and make designs fnasjkbdnasds it’s definitely gonna be a fun one to play around with!

I want to either call this the Support Course Hero AU or maybe just Support Hero AU would work--what do you guys think?

what's rody sees ghosts?

It's a theory I have regarding Rody's quirk and why he was shunned along with his siblings in Otheon.

Basically the idea that I'm going with is that- yeah, Rody and his siblings were shunned after their dad 'joined' Humarise, however it doesn't make sense why the hell an entire city (and quite a big one at that) would completely just toss aside three children who very clearly had no part to play in their father joining the fringe cult that is Humarise. Like Otheon, what the fuck guys. This is how villains and cults start dumbasses.

Bear with me here. (Read more for theory and other shit below)

We know from WHM that Humarise's base, or at least a large part of it was centered in Otheon, which is why the Endeavour agency were the ones to go to it, with Endeavour being number one, it makes sense to send him where the leaders would be. Due to this assumption that Humarise is located in Otheon mainly, we can also assume that there is at least a larger portion of people that would join them, or at least be in and around the city.

So having Rody's father join isn't that far of a leap and would be something rare, but not completely uncommon. So having people shun the remaining Soul members is a bit odd, even if Eddie Soul made his joining public and loud. Sure, I could see a few people refusing service, but to completely make Rody fend for his family? Like no CPS or anything showing up is weird.

Now that we have that down, we can get into the weirdness of Rody's quirk.

Rody's quirk 'Soul' (real creative there Horikoshi) allows him to manifest a small part of his own soul in a tangible and sentient form. Pino is Rody and he is her, but having his entire quirk just be called Soul does seem to be a bit... misleading.

Which leads me into the meat of my theory:

Since Rody and Pino are literally connected, he can power her to constantly have a corporeal form active, even though she does sometimes disappear somewhere on his person. (like in the end when she disappears because Rody likely doesn't have the passive energy to keep her active) She’s literally a physical manifestation of his emotions/soul.

But I was thinking...what if his quirk isn’t just Pino? What if he can literally see other souls and/or power them in order for them to have a solid form?

(Aka ghost theory.)

Since most people’s souls are pretty much tethered to inside their bodies, I think he’d have to interact with a dead person first maybe? Like to realize that he even had that second part besides Pino.

Or a soul that no longer has a host body in order to slightly power it- obviously not to Pino’s level of tangibility, but maybe to a point where other people could see the ghost/soul? I am less inclined to go with the battery pack style Rody for souls or ghosts because it's more far fetched than just being able to see said ghosts.

If we were to accept that ghost theory to be a sort of canon, it could explain why exactly Rody was unable to get the help he needed. People can get hella superstitious (literally the entirety of Humarise lmao) and I could see people in Otheon not wanting to help the kid who can see dead people or hire him if he came job searching.

Either way, it's just a fun theory and lets me write vestige chaos with Rody trying to date Izuku while also attempting to get the approval of this poor teen's haunted quirk. I think I have three(?) fics with the whole 'rody sees ghosts' premise.

HEADCANONS REQUEST: ❝S/O with Ghoul quirk.❞

[ Fandom: Boku no hero Academia ] [ Characters: Midoriya Izuku, Hitoshi Shinsou, Amajiki Tamaki ]

「Headcanons of Midoriya, Hitoshi, Amajiki with S/O that has a Tokyo ghoul quirk.」

MIDORIYA IZUKU

♤ Midoriya, being the nerd he is, will know your quirk. But honestly, any quirk interests him easily. However, approaching you at first was very difficult. You were strong and easily one of the top students in the class, admired by your friends. He still can’t believe that you’re his S/O but he is not complaining about it at all.

♤ If you’re not in the same class as him, he will see you during training hours which is normally after all the classes have ended. He loves seeing your quirk in action, the way you move and utilize your kagune was just so fascinating. Midoriya always hypes you up during training, his entire being radiating positivity as he excitedly compliments you. This guy is like your personal cheerleader at this point.

♤ Sometimes the two of you would have a friendly sparring session using quirk. Midoriya trains to increase his evasiveness while you train to increase your control on your kagune. After training, he would get super flustered seeing your ripped clothes. He will be a stuttering mess whole he hastily takes off his shirt for you to cover yourself up. He eventually learns to just bring extra clothes in case you rip yours.

♤ Honestly, he has wondered for such a long time why you never touched any vegetables at all. When you had mentioned about how your quirk is basically described as "liquid muscles" and that you can only eat meat due do your quirk changing your body. Though it did scare him at first that you snack on raw meat so casually. Eventually, he got used to it and learnt how to choose a better quality meat.

HITOSHI SHINSOU

☆ By any chance anyone thinks that your quirk looks kinda scary and intimidating, he will be there to comfort and reassure you that its not. This boy will give you so much love that you’d get overwhelmed. He’d praise you endlessly for being so strong, special and unique. Seriously, this guy has a way with his words.

☆ Not gonna lie but he thinks its kinda hot when you use your quirk because you looks so badass! The colors of your kagune were just so mesmerizing to him and he was always watching you while you were training. Anyone dares to tell you that your quirk looks scary, intimidating and villainous ― you have to face and you wouldn't want to face an angry Shinsou and this man will threaten them to apologize to you.

☆ When it comes to training sessions with you, you both focus on hand to hand combat instead of using your quirks. Though, there were the rare times where you would be training with your classmates and he will be waiting for you at the sidelines. As someone with a non-offensive quirk, he always finds other people's quirks interesting so it was natural that he shows interest in your quirk.

☆ Really thrown off by the fact you actually consume raw meat. Shinsou doesn't judge people, he's been there and knows how it feels like to be judged for something that you can't help with. You had mentioned that eating raw meat improved your regenerative abilities. Like how he would defend you from bullies who talk about your quirk, this guy won't hesitate to tell them off if someone judges your eating habits.

AMAJIKI TAMAKI

♡ This guy is usually not very confident in himself but when he sees you use your quirk for the first time, his eyes light up. Tamaki is the type of person who would hype their S/O without thinking too much on it. The first time you used your quirk, he's amazed by the things that you were able to do with your quirk. The two of you trained together a lot due to having somewhat similar quirks. Honestly, he invites you to training just as an excuse to see your quirk.

♡ Tamaki never has to worry about you that much since you have high physical capability and extremely resistant to injury. This guy knows almost everything you can do with your quirk and never doubts in your ability to defend yourself. But of course, no matter how strong and unique your quirk is, he's still going to worry about you. When you reassure that you have a strong regenerative ability, it doesn't really make him feel at ease.

♡ Always held a fascination for your quirk but is too shy to admit it. Tamaki finds the colors of your kagune unique, a mix of blue, purple and red. Whenever you decide to train your quirk, this guy is always well prepared. Tamaki always has a spare clothes or even a jacket ready for you in case you ripped yours while using your quirk. This guys gets flustered whenever you show a bit too much skin.

♡ Okay, this guys eats a lot of things for his quirk and he never judges you for your weird eating preferences. It did concern him when you never touched your vegetables at all. And it did surprise him when you bought raw meat and ate is straight away like it was normal. Tamaki likes sharing his food but please don't try to give him your favorite raw meat because he clearly prefers cooked food over raw food.
