The .45 ACP round has been experiencing a bit of a resurgence in popularity. Honestly, it is as much a move away from the .40 caliber, since the 9mm is also regaining a strong following. Improvements in bullet construction have made all pistol rounds more effective, meaning the other factors are more critical—shot placement, complete reliability and putting the biggest bullet on target effectively. For those interested in capacity, the 9mm is fast becoming the first choice, but for those looking to move up to a bigger bullet, the .45 ACP is king.

With this move comes a need for a combat-reliable pistol. For many, that means a full-sized pistol with the capacity of a double-stack magazine. Many of these pistols, especially in the 1911 platform, are expensive and not always well suited to practical carry. The most reliable of these tend to be the most costly, putting them out of reach for many shooters. The best choice is often a polymer-based pistol, and that’s where the Glock 21 certainly delivers. Having carried my first Glock 21 on the streets some 15 years ago, I know this pistol well, and that same pistol rides in an officer’s holster to this day. Glock 21 Gen4 Legacy & Future

For many, the Glock 21 is the quintessential high-capacity, .45 caliber combat pistol. It has proven reliable, accurate and indestructible. With a 13+1 capacity, it provides easily accessible firepower in a proven caliber. It maintains the ergonomics and simple practicality of all the Glock pistols, and accessories, holsters and spare magazines are plentiful. For those making the move up from the G22, the transition is simple and easy. Available with factory night sights, the G22 is ready out of the box for duty, the range or anywhere else. And all of this is at about half the cost of many high-capacity .45s.

The G21’s only real issue was its size. It is a bit larger, and those with small hands often have some difficulty controlling it. The Short Frame model helped, but the changes featured in the Glock 21 Gen4 were really what made the G21 accessible to more shooters, providing other enhancements. Handling a new Glock 21 Gen4 pistol, I first noticed the textured finish on the grip. It is a nice modification to the rougher versions of before and fits in the hand well. It just feels less abrasive while remaining solid.

Next was the magazine catch, which is not only easily reversible but also much more intuitive. I found it easier to access without needing to shift the pistol in my grip. The catch also remains flush with the grip, eliminating many of the accidental release issues many after-market parts present. It is about as close to perfect as it gets for this platform. The finger grooves on the frontstrap are nicely contoured with matching checkering. The frame is cut high into the triggerguard, allowing for a solid grip.

More Glock 21 Gen4 Features

The real difference here is in the backstraps. Unlike many systems that require you to use one panel or another, the G21 Gen4 starts with no strap. In my “keep it simple” world, this is perfect. Leaving the grip as-is provides the shortest trigger reach on this frame size to date, with nothing to come loose. If you prefer the Gen3 feel, you can simply add the medium strap. (A thicker strap is available for those with even bigger hands.) With no grip panel attached, this pistol fit me just about perfectly, so I completed all the testing in this configuration.

To round out the Gen4 package, Glock added a dual recoil spring assembly. This tends to tame how recoil feels to the hand and can add significant life to the springs. The sights provided were the base versions, a simple white-dot front and the white-outlined U-notch rear. A rail is molded into the frame to accept tactical lights. Three magazines were provided along with the commensurate reloading tool, as well as the two backstraps and a tool designed to remove the grip-strap pin. Lastly, the finish on the slide is a bit less shiny and slippery. It is more of a dull gray, which lends itself to the pistol’s no-nonsense purpose.

Glock 21 Gen4 Performance

All of the G21 pistols that I’ve shot over the years are very accurate. Short of the G20, the G21 pistol is the most accurate standard-equipped Glock for me. Testing this pistol proved to be no exception. G21s are just plain accurate and some of the easiest double-stack .45s to shoot well. The shorter trigger reach only made this better for me. I accomplished the best accuracy with the Winchester Ranger 230-grain SXT rounds, with a group measuring 1.7 inches with a cluster of four shots within about an inch. The G21 put everything into around 2 inches at 25 yards. Having had pistols at twice the price display equal or less accuracy, that is pretty impressive.

Where this pistol truly shines is on the move and under stress. This gun just ran and ran without any issues. It remains one of the softest-shooting .45 pistols out there, making it much easier to maintain accuracy on the move. The shorter reach allowed for easier trigger control, and the textured finish really locks this pistol nicely in my hand. Fired both with and without gloves, it was impossible to lose my grip on the gun. It was easy to get a good, solid grip out of the holster. I tested the G21 Gen4 from both a tactical thigh rig as well as a similar holster in an OWB-type carry mode. The draw was smooth, and the sights came up quickly. For those in need of tritium, the pistol can be ordered from the factory with night sights.

For me at least, the most noticeable advancement in this generation is the magazine catch. It may not be the most technical, but it is the most used, at least in training. In the past, magazine swaps required a pronounced shift of the pistol in my hand to get a solid release of the magazine. The Gen4 catch makes this unnecessary. Granted, my hands are pretty big, but the catch could be easily reached without a shift, facilitating very fast magazine changes. It does so without adding any pronounced protrusion, making unintentional magazine releases unlikely. The maga-zines all dropped free easily, empty or not. Loading to capacity was a bit stiff on the last round, but time and repetition will likely loosen the mags up a bit.

While attending the Glock 25th Anniversary Class at Gunsite, I was able to spend a day with a G21 Gen4 utilizing a medium grip panel. Rather than change someone else’s pistol, I shot it as is. It was flawless and very accurate, making it through one of the most round-intensive days of the Gunsite 250 class. I greatly anticipated the chance to set this pistol up for my needs and really put it through its paces. Of all the Glock platforms, this is the one most often used in my career as a police officer. The G21 has always been my favorite. Even without the shortened frame, it fit my hand better than any of the other pistols.

Shooting the Gen4 version was better. The shorter frame only enhanced my ability to shoot this pistol well. The new textured finish is just about right, providing a nice mix of aggressiveness without the commensurate abrasion. The standard trigger was predictable and controllable. The new magazine release is perfect for this gun. Having access without the need for a pronounced shift of the pistol in your hand is huge. It makes fast and positive magazine changes possible without losing sight of the threat. This was especially evident when shooting on the move. You could really just move, shoot, reload and continue as necessary, staying focused on the threat.

Having never been a big fan of the “new and improved,” my opinion is different in the case of the G21. Everything changed only enhances the capabilities of this fine pistol. Do you think they accurately represent your writing habits? Top five are: Reader-Insert (9) Angst (8) Older Man/Younger Woman (8) Age Difference (7) Dubious Consent (6) And well, they do on this account :') . Not quite what I wrote in the past. I have gone from humor and romance to disturbing dark romance fics, I suppose? Though the older man/younger woman age thing has always been my kink, I mean, even in real life.

3. What are some tropes or details that you think are very characteristic of your fics?

Polite/kind Reader. I know this isn't in any tags, but my standard/basic Reader is quite polite. Doesn't curse as much as I see readers do in other fics, doesn't fight as much as I read in most fics. Might react atypically to what you might expect in certain situations - which is excellent when writing villain/bad guy fics because they will expect the obvious and need to re-adjust their reaction when the reader surprises them. It could just be why the Reader is kept alive and survives. My basic go-to Reader is usually inspired by the thought "now what would I do when I was caught in this situation?" Though, when I am writing for a friend, I will make the character react more like they would. Which is even more fun than imagining myself in such a situation. "I am a worrier, not a warrior." (JokeringCutio ) - and yes, you can quote that with my name attached to it - I worry. A lot. And I try to solve things without fighting but by talking or finding solutions. Unless otherwise requested, I try to come up with reactions for the reader by placing myself in their situation. My basic Reader won't fight as much on instinct, I can't even slap someone if they ask me to (Yes, that has happened). But apart from the reader's depiction, you can find details in fics that derive from this as well. When I imagine myself in situations, important questions arise: where are the toilets? Is there anything I can use when I get my period? But who will feed the hamster? If there's a window, how can it be that no sound escapes the room? Expect things like bathing, using the toilet, menstruation, getting dirty, getting hurt and fearing infection. They are basic human things that I worry about and that I have noticed are quite often glossed over in movies and stories, but that make it all the more grizzly to read. Other details: Look for: A feasible ending. I like my stories to have a happy end, unless otherwise requested. But because I try and imagine how it would be if I were really caught in that situation, that ending might not be "they married and lived happily ever after". I mean, with a villain, murderer, slasher, or mentally ill person, happily ever after might just end a different way. Look for: Girls are better friends. Most of my recent fics have had a female reader involved with a male villain. But if you look closely you will see I often can't help a lesbian crush or relationship added to the mix, even if not open or explicit. 12. Are there any tropes you used to dislike but have grown on you? Reader-Insert. Used to hate them. Now I want nothing more but to write and read them. Hear me out, I like to perfect my reader-insert skills and try to avoid all that irritated me in the past. So I try to avoid mentioning specific things like the length of hair, body shape, skin tone, and background information that could trigger or put a reader off. And yes, in some cases you can get away with it, no problem. It's looking to find that balance. I failed with my multi-chapter Grabber fic. I wanted to avoid mentioning hair on the reader for a specific reader I have seen lurking around the fandom but it slipped in a few times anyway. If you are that reader and read this, please feel free to request a hairless reader fic/hair not mentioned fic. I would love to make it up to you ♡ 30. Have you ever written something that was out of your comfort zone? If so, what was it, and how did it affect your approach to writing fic thereafter?

Yes. The first smut I wrote was (as a virgin at the time and totally not into the kinks requested) very much out of my comfort zone. But I had to look up a lot and learned a lot new terms. Ahum... I like to challenge myself by stepping out of my comfort zone so, we'll see what the future brings :)

This is shadow work, no two ways about it. We all have parts of ourself that cause problems if not controlled or dealt with. Maturing is a process that never ends, and doesn’t mean what you think it means, I’m getting that loud and clear. Every zodiac sign and placement has a good and bad, best and worst, so you’re not being attacked. The same astrology placements that made Jeffrey Dahmer a serial killer could’ve made him an amazing surgeon, or mortician. Why *that’s* where we’re going with this, I don’t know. Caravaggio is now looking more ominous 👀 No violence please. But everyone gets these kind of messages (less dark tho 💯), it just depends on when/who needs them.

Your message is scathing, but your communication is scathing and I’m getting “that’s the point”. Spirit is talking to you like you talk to others. I’m going to nice it up though, because that’s also the point. Anger issues are coming out strongly, maybe avoidance of those issues as well, and that needs more attention. You may hold your feelings inside until you explode, rather than addressing them calmly in the moment. King of Cups is your energy, and normally a very mature & kind person, with balanced emotions, but you’ve got a red flag on your own head and it’s due to how you deal with conflict.

The Dog with a Cross and Judgement both show a conservative sort of belief system and view on things. Possibly religious. Are they your beliefs? Your judgements? Or someone else’s? Because Dog also shows a lot of people that have opinions and want you to please them or live up to some expectation…no. Your life. Respectfully 🙏 That same sentiment applies to others where you are projecting this judgy & holier than thou attitude towards them. No. Their life. Respectfully 🙏

You’re confused about a partnership, a lover, either one that you already have or one you want to have but don’t know how to get. Queen of Pentacles is your dream, someone who can and does do it all, they have money, a thriving career, raise the kids, clean the home, pay the bills, take care of life. Practically. And you may judge all of your people, or potential people, based on these inner judgements and standards that seem imposed on you? by some outside source. I’m getting you need to look at things way more deeply. And then ask yourself? Are YOU even this person? Can someone throw 1000 judgements and expectations your way and you will strive to meet them? Or will you tell them to fk off? Because I’m getting in this moment, as thing stand, most people are going to tell you to fk off, and this is why.

Most people have dreams and desires for an ideal person sure. Boundaries are necessary, being communicative about expectations are good, and so long as two people (not just you)‘s expectations are compatible and met on both sides, there can be 10 Cups. What’s not okay is constant complaining, moving the goal posts, like today it’s fine to do xyz but tomorrow it’s not, or things are only okay when you do them - not someone else. You have a tangled web of “standards” imprinted in you that in reality you might not even really care about, but you use them against people, and that’s toxic.

The advice is to put more work into yourself, your money, your career, and take the time you need to sort out what it is you do really want. And the Dog energy, other people and their opinions, has got to go. You need to not care, and make your own decisions that you have to live with. The person your Mom would pick would probably be a millionaire, but if there’s no passion or chemistry, what’s the point? The only thing we should all know about Spirit is that they like to test us and our beliefs at our core, as a lesson to be a good person, and more loving towards everyone of all walks of life, which is the only real lesson in any religious book, and it’s in all of them pick one. Releasing the ego 💯 If you are religious, then you already know it’s not *your* Judgement that even matters 😉

The other side of this is it’s fine to have certain desires and standards based on your experiences in the past, and your personality. What is a good fit for you, what balances your own life, what do you *need* to be happy, what does 10 Cups look like to you? That’s the fairy tale ending, happily ever after. You can figure that out and look for it, be up front about it with potential partners, but what you can’t do is take an available person that’s NOT that - and bite their head off with criticism and judgements so that they will become that - or just blindly expect it. They will be them and it’s what’s best for them, they’ll just avoid you 💯

This also applies to someone in your life that is this way with you. A partner? A parent? A friend? All of them. That’s why “vote someone off the island is here”. You don’t owe anyone a damn thing, and they don’t owe you either. But if you want to explain, do so in a kind way, and allow others a chance to speak how they feel, what they want, etc etc and “Improve Your Listening”. If you don’t agree, okay, hope you find what you’re looking for, and move on ❤️

Delving into your own birth chart could be really beneficial to you, just to explore yourself. And someone else’s if there’s a particular person/people you heavily conflict with. Synastry charts could help you there. Google has everything you need to research individual aspects, or there are millions of astrologers that offer these things. Some of you may have firm beliefs against that, and that’s okay too, this is just for those open to it. Apply that mindset to life.

Years back, when I was just a sex blogger, I was asked what’s the best lube for anal. Even back then, I championed Boy Butter (water/oil based) as the worthiest choice. Since then, things have changed dramatically. 1- Well my home is where i feel most safe and capable of working, aka my shop, I'm living here for around 225 years (note: 1 Shinigami year = 50 human years) which is like, 4,5 years, so only recently....I found my home, well, I sell voodoo items, rituals, charms, magic items, potions, curses, for extra I do rituals and blessings as well, Shinigami items and candy, me and my assistant Kaguya share space in the attic and my lab is underground together with my training grounds.

2- ...with a ton of sake to forget or my children making me company so I don't relapse...

3- yes, my children, these lovable and special crows. My only, real and found family

35 Signs You’re in a Toxic Relationship

I listed all the ones that apply to Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng’s relationship.

Note: For the most part, a good relationship makes you feel secure, happy, cared for, respected, and free to be yourself.

And now, the signs:

1. All take, no give. Any relationship in which you experience withdrawals of energy without deposits will leave you in the negative.

Been seeing a lot of “backyard eggs are cruel” articles lately, so I wanted to go through a couple of the points they raise and highlight why backyard eggs aren’t inherently cruel.

1) Chicks come from factory farm hatcheries

This point is entirely dependent upon an individuals purchasing choices. The only chicks coming from factory farm hatcheries are production hybrids, so ISA Brown, HYLINE Brown, Utility Leghorn, etc. so long as you don’t purchase these hybrids, you don’t support the unethical factories.

Although private hatcheries have their own plethora of ethical issues, these places are not suppliers to factory farms. The best place to purchase your chicks or pullets from is a private breeder who has good welfare standards. Neither of these options support the factory farms, and the claim that majority of backyard hens come from these factory farm hatcheries is false. I currently can’t name a single person I know with birds from a factory farm hatchery.

2) Male chicks are killed at birth

If you are buying factory farm chicks, yes. However as I mentioned above, few backyard hens are coming from this source. Private hatcheries which sex chicks either sell cockerels cheaper, or sell them in bundle deals for meat birds. Unfortunately private hatcheries are about profit, and believe it or not they can still profit off cockerels.

Private breeders rarely ever sex chicks. It requires specialised training and cockerels are harder to sell, so most sell chicks unsexed. Breeders also want to grow out these cockerels, there needs to be a keep back for the next generation of breeding. Either way, private hatcheries and breeders where a lot of backyard hens are sourced from are not killing male chicks on a large scale.

3) Hens are unhealthy and unnatural due to genetic manipulation

First of all, domestic hens lay more eggs than their ancestors due to selective breeding, not ‘genetic modification’ or ‘genetic manipulation’. Production hybrids are certainly unhealthy, laying over 300 eggs a year causes their bodies to wear out and they’re predisposed to so many reproductive issues. They were bred with the intention of maximum production, replaced after 18 months once this production declines. They are a mess and frankly should not exist.

This is the argument point which always frustrates me the most because, you do realise there are hundreds of chicken breeds right? And just like with dogs, these breeds all have different temperaments, characteristics, and health statuses.

A well bred Wyandotte who lays 200 eggs a year rarely experiences the health issues of production hybrids. These issues are almost unheard of in Sumatra or Sebright who lay 50-100 eggs a year. There are so many heritage breeds out there bred for their longevity, living on average 7-8 years rather than the measly 2-3 of production hybrids.

Most people who keep backyard hens love these birds dearly, these are their pets. Why would someone purchase an unethical production hybrid off the factory farms knowing she will die a horrible death in 2 years, when they could instead get a heritage breed who’ll lay them eggs until she’s at least 5?

I know very few people with backyard hens who keep the production birds

4) Hens are abandoned/killed when production slows/stops

I have yet to meet a single person who has purposefully gotten rid of their hens once production slows or stops.

Production hybrids rarely stop laying unless they are actively affected by reproductive complications, these birds sadly die before they stop laying so owners are definitely not ‘abandoning’ these birds, rather they die long before their time while still pumping out those eggs. Alternatively, heritage breeds will lay for years. We’ve had a 9 year old Sussex still laying eggs. For all the backyard keepers with heritage breeds, the time to ‘replace’ hens is often very far into the future.

This isn’t even raising the point that, these hens are pets. People can eat eggs and still bond fiercely with their hens, people can eat eggs and still value the life of the hen. I don’t think many people are going to turn around and kill their friend suddenly because she stops laying as frequently. My grandfather who used to own a small scale egg farm always kept his old hens who no longer laid, he’d had them for 7 years and that’s an attachment that’s hard to break.

The idea that hens suddenly stop laying eggs one day so people replace them is quite silly, it just doesn’t happen in a backyard setting. Certainly in egg farms, but not with pet hens.

5) Laying eggs depletes nutrients. Hens need to be fed their eggs to get these back

Laying eggs definitely takes up a shocking amount of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids. A big one is calcium, the egg needs a lot to shell it, but each egg also needs enough calcium stores inside the yolk to nurture and grow a chicks skeleton. If a hen doesn’t have enough calcium, she’ll draw it from her bones to produce eggs.

But the thing is, she doesn’t need to eat her own eggs to gain this nutrition back. Chickens have been domesticated for thousands of years, and in this time we’ve perfected their diet. There are many fantastic feeds on the market tailored specifically for a laying hens needs! She should be fed a pellet or mash diet, this ensures she gets the correct amount of all the nutrients, whereas with grain she can pick and chose parts and become deficient. Furthermore, chickens aren’t stupid animals. A hen will know if she needs more calcium, and this is why it’s important to offer them oyster shell, limestone, and crushed egg shells so she can eat extra calcium at her leisure.

Sceptical of the feed, or maybe you just think she deserves those eggs back after all her hard work? Well while it’s nice to treat your hens to an egg every now and then, too many can cause many fatal health issues. If she eats every single egg she lays, AND eats a nutritional balanced diet, she’s getting way too much of those nutrients since the feed is already replacing that loss. A really big concern is that she’ll put on too much weight from all the protein in eggs, this can lead to fatty liver disease which kills many backyard hens annually. Maintaining a good weight in your flock is vital to preventing other health issues too such as egg binding and heart failure.

I love letting my hens eat raw eggs, it’s hilarious and they love it. However I actually had to stop because one of my hens Sooty got dangerously overweight and was at risk of fatty liver disease. You might think feeding hens back their own eggs is great for their health, but it should be in moderation, there is too much of a good thing. Unless you’re feeding your hen rubbish, she doesn’t need the eggs since her diet replaces those nutrients daily, and please don’t feed your hens rubbish.

6) We are using the hens. They are not ours to use as we please

I suppose this point holds up depending on your personal beliefs. I personally don’t feel pet hens are being ‘used’ at all, rather it’s a mutually beneficial relationship. We give them food, safety, and friendship, so they return that friendship and sometimes eggs.

A part of domestication is that the animal adapts to living alongside us, with chickens it just happened to be the constant access to good food and a safe nest encouraged them to lay more eggs. We can’t change that now, so we may as well use the eggs. A dog or cat domesticated for companionship will provide that, are we abusing those pets as well by taking their companionship?

Also if I’m being quite frank, no one will ever get eggs cheaper by keeping backyard chickens. Feed is expensive, coops are expensive, veterinary care is expensive. Anyone getting backyard hens will have some other motive to it rather than just “I want free eggs” because these eggs aren’t free. Most people want a pet, they don’t want to support the factory farming, or they want to feel more self sufficient, maybe all three of those reasons! People aren’t getting backyard hens with the intent of ‘using’ them for eggs, because it’s cheaper just to buy eggs.

So to sum this up, backyard eggs aren’t hurting the hens! If anything, it’s helping them! Showing support for more ethical means of egg production will put pressure on the large scale egg farms to change ways. Hopefully these unethical practices will be phased out one day, it’ll take time, but one step at a time.

straight off the bat, the fear of not living up to standards suggests you're somewhere in the competency triad (1-3-5). this is also why you seem to detach a lot from your emotions. struggling with introspection and trying to work through things logically is very similar to what someone in that triad would experience. you seem much more like a 3/5, as a 1 would focus more on being morally perfect. so3>5, as 5's don't seem to care about the guidelines for success set by society as you mention ("getting a good job", "earning money"...).

your wing for the 3 wasn't too strong, and was pretty balanced between 4 and 2. usually when this happens, it means that the wing is a countertype (meaning, the specific subtypes defies the stereotype/general description). between sp2 and sp4, the way you almost internalize/repress emotions was more fitting towards a sp4. this, on top of your answer to dealing with shame, which was very much internalized.

the part about wanting to make a strong impact on the world gives feeling in mbti mixed with e3, with a little hint of 8. the 8 is especially seen in your descriptions of anger (many ppl think 8's are feral angry rats but most of them relate to your exact answer). being fiercely protective of those around you is epitome of so8, plus the fact that you hate being controlled by others .

for your 8, 9 fits perfectly especially with how you don't find yourself being good at self-reflection. also with how you aren't too sure of where you want to go, suggesting you struggle with identity like a 9 would.

something that really solidified the strength of this fix was how when your at your lows, you find yourself worried about things, feeling worthless, and feeling life has lost it's meaning, which is how a 3 and 9 would disintegrate.

your 9 and 8 seem pretty balanced. i don't think that you're either a 9w8 or 8w9 tbh, because you seem to use them in a way that is complementary to each other- not really that one is stronger than the other. but since your mbti is an entp it made most sense to type you as 8w9.

For an actual relationship and not just dating I think he can take a while if not a long ass time because he’s too much of a perfectionist and will work hard at making sure everything is right before getting into a relationship. It’s not outwardly tricking people but allowing them to believe what they want and project their fantasies on him. It’s like a weird energy of wanting to rebel but also you feel stuck and want to please them so you don’t let them down. I think he overthinks legit everything and makes things a bigger deal in his mind than what it really is.

tim stoker pros: very large and buff, but also soft. will squeeze jon as tight and as long as he wants. is six foot whatever and jacked so he's way bigger than jon and can entirely envelop him, which is the closest thing jon's getting to a weighted blanket these days. cons: tim is an oldest and favourite cousin, which means that when he hugs people smaller than him, they're usually children. as a result, there is a roughly 30% chance that if jon goes in for a hug he'll get a hair ruffle and lifted slightly off the ground to go with it. overall rating: 9/10. tim gives truly excellent hugs.

martin blackwood pros: will literally give jon a hug whenever he asks for one without making it feel awkward, which is nice because jon almost always feels awkward talking to people. will also sometimes ask jon if he wants a hug if he's looking a bit pathetic lately. is made of 60% soft wooly jumpers and 30% stuffing, the most warm and comfortable hug. also usually strokes jon's back while he's at it, which is extremely nice. cons: sometimes if jon's leaning into the hug a bit too much martin will physically make him stop working and take a nap, which is not doing great things for jon's work ethic overall rating: 9.5/10. i may be in love with you, martin, but i do actually need to do work sometimes?

sasha james pros: casual hugger, doesn't make jon feel weird about it, just goes in for a quick hug and a peck on the cheek when she's heading out for the day, or if she feels like it. she smells very nice. he kind of wonders what shampoo she uses. cons: despite being sturdier than she looks, she is not quite large enough to apply the force that jon perhaps wants in a hug. overall rating: 8.5/10. delightful, but without the capacity for a proper bear hug a la martin or tim.

not!sasha pros: no. cons: you know when you're at a family gathering and a relative that you only distantly recognize the face and name of comes up and hugs you like, way too familiarly, and it's kinda cloyingly creepy? it's exactly like that overall rating: stranger/10. please never do that again.

melanie king pros: has never in her life half-assed a hug. seems to be trying to break jon's ribcage, which he appreciates. cons: she is often very angry at him, and so does not hug him very often. overall rating: 6/10. good when he got it but he does not often get it.

basira hussain pros: she doesn't really do Full Hugs with jon, she's more likely to toss an arm around his shoulder and pull him against her side, kind of a Bro Side Hug situation, which actually goes a long ways towards making him feel Human and Included and Not Hated. good friend bro hug. cons: kinda lacking in creature comforts. basira is not very soft or demonstrative. not exactly a shoulder he would be comfortable crying on. overall rating: 7/10. he appreciates the sentiment.

daisy tonner pros: daisy WILL go in for a Full Hug with jon, especially after the buried. she is also Strong and will squeeze him, and often seems to need a hug as much as he does. sometimes smells like basira's perfume and sometimes like her own deoderant, both of which are nice. cons: she will make fun of him for leaving tear stains on her shirt. jon has never had a big sister but he thinks that this is what cain and abel were on about. overall rating: 9/10. fantastic except for the schoolyard bullying

Astrology stereotypes that are stereotypes for a reason:

based on my experiences as a Virgo Sun, Capricorn Moon, Scorpio Rising; may apply to your big three or dominant sign/s? But observations are made based on the Sun Sign of people I know so take it with a grain of salt.

1. Aries being blunt, intimidating and dominating.

I MEAN. The Aries Suns I have met can get on a fight with someone and they!!simply!!will!! not!!back!!the!!hell!!down!!

you think you can hurt me? please my dad's an aries sun who passes off criticism every time he opens his mouth

they absolutely will run their mouth without much thought! it really is the fire in them I think

2. Taurus having a flair for the nice things in life.

my bff is a Taurean and that girl really has the ✨ taste ✨ for the fine things!

Like, she works two jobs just so she can buy whatever she wants from commercial to high end.

this can also be in their own detriment as I know people with taurus sun who spend their money as if there's no tomorrow which leads to credit card and personal debt oooo

3. Gemini being indecisive.

to all the geminis in my life, please make up your damn mind 🤯

is it a yes? a no? a maybe? are you a pro? an anti?? I can't be around geminis all the time even with me being mercury-ruled because of the constant back and forth, push and pull.

you all are very smart if you'll be able to ground your thoughts and yourself properly (yes, a Virgo telling a Gemini what to do what is new here😂)

4. Cancers being overly emotional and sensitive.

that person who blabs on how unfair the world is? how it's everyone elses fault all the time? how they can't be blamed if something fails because everyone messes up except them? yup, that's an underdeveloped cancer in my life

but that's mostly for the females; cancer males tend to be more tolerable for me for some reason (or that must be my cancer venus??? Idk)

the developed cancers in my life are still overly emotional and sensitive - they just know when to be that

5. Leos as the center of attention, being suckers for praises, and obsessed with winning.

MAN. The Leos in my life can't live a day without hearing a compliment?? Like if they don't get it, they'll do their best to get it

If they can't get it from others, they'll say it about themselves which is okayyy it gets annoying when they push the "look at me i look/am doing good" narrative every chance they get ugh

whether they are passive or aggressive in their approach, all the leos in my life really have a thing for winning (some just do not know how to do it but there will always be that drive to win)

6. Virgos being critical, over thinkers, perfectionist, and having high standards.

The only one who can beat the Virgo Sun brand of overthinking is a Virgo Moon lol

yes we are critical but if we're critical to you, we're a thousand times more critical to ourselves just so you know

7. Libras balancing the scales and liking the harmony.

my clique has two libra suns and I'm not kidding when I say they're almost always the ones who adjust for the whole group

Like they want something but they're going to "tip off the scales" so they won't go for it anymore 😞

they're also the types of people that if you have a problem with them, it's you who has an issue, not them because they're all about harmony and beauty

8. Scorpios are intense and diabolical.

even if they are funny, they are intensely funny; you know whatever Scorpios do, they just have this intensity in them.

the scorpions sting back and when they do, they sting back harder; the Scorpios in my life are very creative in their revenge plans as well

this is why they always come off scary and intimidating because they are not really to be pushed around

9. Sagittarius being happy-go-lucky.

you know that person who doesn't get bothered submitting their requirements last minute? Like everything around them is on fire and they're just there like 😊? yup, that's a sagittarius in my life

they also have a very last minute hail mary that saves them which is kinda annoying because it makes them lazy as well

these people really be lucky for most of their life god is that how it feels to be Jupiterian

10. Capricorns being workaholics and emotionally repressed.

one of my closest friends is a Cap Sun and he never stops working!!!

A lot of people think Capricorns had it easy but tbh what they put out there took hours of hardwork and effort

the only one who can beat a Capricorn Sun's brand of emotional repression is a Capricorn Moon lol

11. Aquarius being unconventional and too in their heads.

think outside the box? No. Think like there is no box! That's their motto.

some of the emotionally smartest people I know because they really give thought in their feelings in a rational and at the same time emotional way that gives colors on how they feel

except most of them do not know how to properly express that too that's why they appear distant and unfeeling

12. Pisces being soft, sensitive dreamers.

not to say that they are not tough but I can almost immediately spot a Pisces Sun with they way there's a certain softness in them that I can't put my finger on

not emotional like Cancers but sensitive; the type of people who are very into their dreams and their goals!

the sister sign dynamic here is strong because they are a hit or miss for me.
