"Trascender" I've been in poor health for a while, since a couple of days my lower back only allows me to walk like a robot and lie on my side dozing, at times like these I try to think of the words of #Matisse: "I didn't expect to recover from my second operation but since I did, I consider that I'm living on borrowed time. Every day that dawns is a gift to me and I take it in that way. I accept it gratefully without looking beyond it. I completely forget my physical suffering and all the unpleasantness of my present condition and I think only of the joy of seeing the sun rise once more and of being able to work a little bit, even under difficult conditions" I did the paintings a while ago for an exhibition in my beloved #Paris on the theme #transcend using acrylic paint and markers on old vinyl covers. Llevo una temporada de mala salud, desde hace un par de días mi baja espalda solo me permite caminar como un robot y acostarme de lado dormitando, en momentos como estos trato de pensar en las palabras de #Matisse: “No esperaba recuperarme de mi segunda operación pero como lo hice, considero que estoy viviendo un tiempo prestado. Cada día que amanece es un regalo para mí y así lo tomo. Lo acepto agradecido sin mirar más allá. Me olvido por completo de mi sufrimiento físico y de todo lo desagradable de mi condición actual y pienso sólo en la alegría de ver salir el sol una vez más y de poder trabajar un poco, incluso en condiciones difíciles". Art gift 92 — When I finish writing this post, I’ll duck through the mental tunnel, out of this hunkered-down space where I’ve spent my morning wrangling my work life into some semblance of order, ticking the most dry and tedious items off my To Do list.
