ok.. this ask has been sitting in my inbox for ages bc every time i look at it i forget every single artist i've ever liked 🤡

i dont have favourite-favourite artists really but here are some lovely ones i picked out of my recent Likes:

@sanctus-ingenium (gorgeous colours, texture, rly dynamic compositions, wud hang up as prints no questions asked)

@zmeess (I don’t critrole but wow the way they render w bold strokes + colours is gorg.. also very tactile feeling to bodies+HANDS)

@coeykuhn (i've followed this artist for so so many yrs... definitely inspiring how they portray bodies and the bold black linework is shrimply delicious)

@elemei (man the way they illustrate moments from their ttrpg games.. it sticks in my mind! their linework is super clean and their colour choices are always so pleasant)

@githyankidanky (so fun.. so expressive.. their style reminds me of retro anime (inuyasha, sailor moon era) and its so charming)

@artharakka (rly thoughtful imagery, earthy palettes, love their swordtember? pieces in particular)

It's really rare to see OkoHoshi fanart like yours!(they are lovely<33). So I want to ask that do you know any other artists who also ship this couple or draw fanart about them? Thanks :D

Glad you like my arts!! There are definitely artists out there that like them, but they're tricky to find... I've been tentatively thinking of holding an OkoHoshi Ship Week in the future to help dig up more fans, but that's only a vague idea for now ^^;;

Asides from myself, quinowskie is an OkoHoshi enjoyer along with being the captain of the KikoReno ship!! They frequently draw cute sketches, funny skits and beautifully rendered full pieces as well.

nightfal1n has drawn Okonogi and Hohina on occasion, and many other of the other Kn8 characters! Though they seem to be taking a well-deserved break from drawing at the moment, their art is lovely.

On Twitter I can at times find more content, but it's really difficult to find artists especially dedicated to OkoHoshi... Kanchong is the only constant that really comes to mind...

Sasa has drawn some nice OkoHoshi pieces, but nothing too recent... Since the anime isn't airing anymore, there's been a bit of a lull from all sides it feels like ^^;;; especially in the case of minor ships.

Folks, feel free to share other artists I'm not aware of!! I do my best to dig around and find all the OkoHoshi content I can, but I'm no doubt missing out on a lot of stuff from various corners of the internet.

I’m putting together a playlist of albums that get my brain thinking about my characters and creating new scenes and subplots using the lyrics (i’m not internally creative so i have to outsource that shit)

oh hello :> i have commissioned a lot of art in recent years, and about 80% of the experiences were wonderful! so def take a look through my OC tags to see some of that work! i'm happy to privately talk about any experiences i've had if anyone's considering an artist i've commissioned in the past.

for more ambitious pieces, i tend to return to the same few folks

@rickety-goose - beloved friend with a gorgeous painting style! beautiful texture and i know i can like, ramble an idea out and ren's got me.

@fat-rolls-frictions - so so sweet and master of managing expectations?? line work and details for the gods. the way maggie adds warmth and depth to skin blows my mind.

@impossible-rat-babies - owen nails the vibe every time. the chalk-like texture and warm lighting in his work just gets me tbh.

@sunshinemage - have you SEEN these?? king (gn) of atmosphere and lighting. rory is so thoughtful about character details too.

@harumeau - hannah's style is so dynamic and they're really great at helping their commissioners tell a story. incredible linework, and the way she colors is so beautiful.

i don't think all these folks are open for work right now, but these are my go-to artists and the ones i recommend again and again! give them a follow so you can keep an eye on slots.

You can view my "In Progress/Almost full" list of artist recommendations here. Unfortunately, a lot of artists are on hiatus or not accepting commissions right now.

I don't know if you are looking for 1 character or 2 for that price so that would make a difference, and I'm not sure what style you're looking for. I'd check out the following artists, they might fit your budget (depending on style--- you might need to choose sketch/colored sketch or chibi)

@bayleedraws-sometimesx, @somewillwin, @wisejazz, @rosefuckinggenius, @slayannaart

You may want to check @angkis as well. I've used them before and they were affordable but I don't know what their current rates are.

artsy_elii (on Instagram) was running a sale recently... I'm not sure if they still are, if they are they might fit your budget so you might want to ask.

There are also several artists across tumblr that are doing commissions in exchange for donations to Gaza so you might want to look into those as well. [Commissions for Gaza]

I typically track the "Commissions Open" tag and see when new artists post their commission sheets. Not all are going to be in your price range, but if you keep checking every few days for a while, there usually will be ones that pop up. Thats how I found most of the artists I work with. It takes time and patience, but I've been very happy with all of the artists I've discovered through that method.

I stumbled upon this artist via a lucky reblog (thank you so much tangential-hooligan) and they have become my biggest artistic inspiration within just a few hours.

I mean just look at the lighting, the colours, the emotions they convey, the cozy mood which can also be interpreted as somber, the sheer skill necessary for that immersive grass shading... I could go on
