Hieronymus Bosch "The Vision of Tundal" Part 6.
Part 1. Part 2. Part 3. Part 4. Part 5. Part 6. Part 7.
An old woman in a death mask presents a mirror to a young woman with a melancholy face, naked and seated on a green blanket formed by hop petals. The image is associated with pride.

In the grotto, two naked figures have taken refuge: Adam and Eve, expelled from paradise. Envy has driven them to eat from the tree of wisdom, and their souls are tormented by dogs.

THE SEVEN CLIMATE THINGS AND THE FOUR LAST THINGS
(semi-final version)
Some will hopefully have recognized that I have used the structure of Hieronymus Bosch's ”Seven deadly sins and four last things". This wonderful painting is now at Prado and inspired my series on climate change.
The climate idol at the centre of the painting is a sculpture by French artist Adrien Lamm (IG: @adrienlamm) , which I have at home.

✽ The Cabinet of Botly Delights ⚘
This painting started with the title, and I drew directly from "The Garden of Earthly Delights" by Hieronymus Bosch for inspiration. I loved zooming way in on the painting to scrutinize all the little Bosch characters and choosing which elements would lend themselves to the whims of a Collector Bot. Hope you enjoy looking at it as much as I do!

Hieronymus Bosch "The Vision of Tundal" Part 3.
Part 1. Part 2. Part 3. Part 4. Part 5. Part 6. Part 7.
Coins flying from the monster's nose fall on a representation of lust, which Mark describes as being committed by nuns and monks who bathe in a vat of wine in which they frolic, accompanied by a crossbowman and a dressed cadaverous presence, a habit reminiscent of representations of the dance of death, in which souls, accompanied by an appropriate corpse or skeleton, await final judgment, reminding the living of their mortal state and their vulnerability to sin.
