One — affirmation. Hindi is a gendered language, and that it does present complications for non-binary and gender-fluid individuals. But languages are products of human culture. Any language can describe any situation, and Hindi is capable of describing any identity.

Two — flexibility and process. As students learn how to be themselves in a new language, what fits one day might not fit a semester later.

Three — allowing new forms. When no standard grammatical forms fit a student’s circumstances, teachers should be ready to suggest alternatives, drawing from India’s diverse linguistic landscape where possible.

Four— code-switching. Just as students are taught when to use formal and informal language, non-binary students should be encouraged to think about what language choices feel right in varied circumstances.

Five — acknowledge the haters. This should not prevent a non-binary student from developing a system that works for them, and should not prevent language teachers from teaching a diversity of gender expressions in Hindi.

संस्कार, सभ्यता, अनुशासन, परंपरा, मानवता इनके आवरण की परतों में ढके मनुष्य के गिरेबान में झाँक कर देखा जाए तो उसमें कहाँ खाज है, नज़र नहीं आता है। धर्म संस्कार और सभ्यता ने मनुष्य को विचार दिए हैं।हमारी सारी वर्जनाएँ व्यवस्था के हित के साथ जुड़ी है। कुटिलता इसे रीति बनाकर मनुष्यता से जोड़कर प्रचारित करती है। लेकिन यह कहना मुश्किल है कि यह सब विचार-विमर्श आख़िर है क्या। 

दूसरों के सामने निर्विचार से दिखने वाले दरअसल मानवीयता के दर्पण की तरह होते हैं। धर्म परंपरा और मान्यता की कवच से लैस स्वतंत्र तथा सतत् मंत्रमुग्ध बने रहते हैं। उनमें होता है उड़ने का हौसला। उड़ने में ख़तरे तो बहुत है, उन ख़तरों से बच गए तो ठीक है, न बचे तो हँसी में टालकर फिर से उड़ने का दम भरते हैं। 

स्नेह का अभाव हर शख़्स को खटकता है। जो शीतलता, ममता या मधुरता के दुलार से निशब्द-सी शांति मिलती है। वह अभिमान के छलावे से नहीं मिलती। अंधकार में किसी मैदान, जंगल, आकाश में अर्धवृत्त, आनंद नीलिमा और सवेरा होने से पहले प्रकृति के क्षण-क्षण बदलते रूप के दर्शन होते हैं। यह दर्शन न तो घनी अंधेरी रात में और न तो दिन के उजाले में संभव है। लोगों की सांस्कृतिक मान्यताओं और पहचान के विपरीत जाना वर्जनाओं को तोड़ना है।  क्योंकि यह मान्यताओं परंपराओं और संस्कृति का पर्याय होती है। अनुभव सबसे अच्छा शिक्षक है, और सबसे ख़राब अनुभव हमें सबसे अच्छा सबक सिखाते हैं। 

जीवन में सबसे अच्छी बात किसी ऐसे व्यक्ति को ढूँढ़ना है जो ख़ामियों, ग़लतियों और कमज़ोरियों को जानता है और वो व्यक्ति हम ख़ुद हो, तो यह पूरी तरह से अद्भुत है। जब भी सपनों के सच होने की संभावना बढ़ती है तो जीवन दिलचस्प बनता जाता है। इसलिए अंधेरे को दूर करने के लिए स्वयं की बेहतरी प्रकाशयुक्त होनी चाहिए। अजीब से लगने वाले शब्द विश्वास की सतह पर सच होने चाहिए।

हम, तुम सब अजीब है। इस दुनिया में हर कोई अजीब है, हमारी पीढ़ी सोचती है कि परवाह नहीं करन��� अच्छा है। लेकिन हम सब जानते हैं यह ग़लत है, यह अजीब है। देखभाल करना, परवाह करना अच्छा है। अपने कर्तव्य कर्म के प्रति वफ़ादार रहना अच्छा है। ऊँचे पेड़ छोटे बीजों से बनने में सक्षम होते हैं। बीज को वृक्ष बनने के पहले एक पूरी की पूरी देखभाल की प्रक्रिया से गुज़रना पड़ता है। 

एक रहस्य की कई परतें होती हैं। रहस्य को जानने समझने के बावजूद उनमें बहुत सारे ऐसे रहस्य होंगे, जिनका उद्देश्य हमें पता ही नहीं चल पाता है। ऐसे में आत्म-मूल्य महत्वपूर्ण हो जाता है। यदि आप अपने बारे में अच्छा महसूस नहीं करते हैं, तो किसी और चीज़ के बारे में अच्छा महसूस होना कठिन है।

फिर तो कुटिल सोच का फ़ायदा कोई न कोई वर्जना उठाने की पूरी कोशिश करेगी। तो एक ही तरीका है कि लोग जो सोचते हैं उसे दरकिनार कर समाज संस्कार सभ्यता और संस्कृति को केंद्र में रखकर निरंतर आगे बढ़ते रहा जाए।
