ok so OBVIOUSLY im starting with tlos and atom!!!!!!!! I LOVE it i was literally crying over alex bailey the other night <3 it means a lot to me because (i know it sounds corny and whatever but) it really helped me when i was alone and i just really saw myself in alex and im really attached to her!!!! god the sacrifices she had to make throughout the series? perfect!!!!!

first she lost her dad, and essentially her mom as well which knocked out two of her best friends!! and one can assume that since her brother was far more popular(? had more people to talk to at least if i am remembering correctly) she felt extremely alone for that year after!! and then she gets sent to the fairytale world? with all her role models and comfort characters? a girl could only dream to have that!! and then when she's there she nearly dies (like all main characters <3) and then she's forced to go back!!! back to a world where she doesn't fit in and has no one! and then she gets to go back!!! of course her mom's in danger after being captured but it still mustve felt good to be back. and then she had to defeat ezmia when all hope had been lost!! all on her own!!! and was willing to sacrifice her life to save the world because it was HER world, all that she had!!!!! and then she had to choose between the two worlds she had. the otherworld, a place where she never fit in, but her mother and brother (the only family she had for the past 2 years) were, or the fairytale world, where she BELONGED and had a role other than conner's quiet, smart sister!!!!!! and then in the next book!! she meets rook. and oh i could go on about rook and alex forever they were so tragic!! she met a boy and for the first time felt fairytale love, what she had read about for years, and it all came crashing down again!!! he betrayed her and even though she understood and undoubtedly wouldve done the same to save her father as well (rook had to give away alex's plans to the grand army to save his village from being fed to a dragon) she just couldnt trust him and had to let go but still loved him as a friend!!!

now im a little rocky on what exactly happens in the last 3 books because i read them all at once and it blurs together in my head but!! oh the scene where she meets her role models. she's being hyped up by the very girls that she spent hours thinking and dreaming about and they were all there for HER so that she could save the ones she loved AGAIN!!! and damn rook sacrificing his life for alex, which momentarily lifts her curse only for her to be 10x more destructive because she lost ANOTHER person?? kiss kiss i love it. and i cant forget arthur of course i love those two together!!! the fact he literally sped up his own story just to be with her was so sweet. anyway back to alex <3 she just does so much and lost so much and sacrificed so much but by the end of the series its all WORTH IT shes done it shes grown old in a home where she BELONGS with her family and she and conner are still as close as ever!!!

as for conner bailey i dont really relate much to him </3 not at the start anyway. when i was younger i was much more like alex, a gifted kid and just staying with my books. but now that im older i can see conner more. he lost his best friend too. and then barely a year after that he's introduced to this crazy world where NOTHING is the same, and he doesnt like it, and he wants to go back but his sister wants to do nothing but stay!!! theyre two sides of a coin as intended yk? i think they were grieving their dad in different ways where conner was trying to move on and alex was looking for their dad in the little things but i dont have much reason to that and it doesnt really relate right now so! and when he finally gets home everything keeps changing. ever since his dad died, everything's become turned on it's head and it won't stop changing.

and here i want to take a break from conner and talk more about the differences between conner and alex because i love alex and will never not think about her but also because theyre so different and yet they work so well together. both of them liked it better when their dad was alive; conner had friends, had a dad to joke with, and alex had her books, had a dad to comfort her. when he died, they both started to become more depressed i guess? less themselves. i mean its literally established because conner is said to have kept falling behind in school while alex pushes herself into it. i like to think it was their own ways of coping where conner wanted everything to just stop for a moment and let him take it in because from how its described everything just happened so damn fast, from their dad dying to the funeral to their mom being gone at work to them having to move and it just keeps changing. alex's way of coping seems to have always been to distract herself or immerse herself into something (e.g., fairytales) so she instead does this with her work because it makes her proud to see that something is changing for the better, even if that meant that her dad really was gone.

and then next thing he knows time keeps moving and fuck! he's lost his sister to the fairytale world forever. she chose there, and he chose the otherworld. and then, yes, she's back! but fuck, now their grandma's dead! and damn they have an evil uncle? and god they have to spend more years of their life stopping it? at least he got a gf and a basically-brother out of it. i think he wrote the fairytaletopia series as a way to cope with losing those years of his life because holy shit those were definitely some important years in a person's development and they were just for fighting, what, 3 entire wars?

tldr alex and conner coped with the loss of their father in different ways that ended up making them take different paths in life but because of the adventures they suffered through together they're still as close as ever

i have a lot of thoughts about this trilogy. first of all im really hoping theres a 4th or that colfer somehow clears up the whole snow queen incident? if xanthous killed her, why is she still alive? wouldnt brystal have done something about it? or any of the fairy council? its well-known she's still around too. so what's up with that?

i love brystal and lucys friendship developing. theyre shown to be best friends in tlos and honestly they seem like more than best friends in atom but thats just me being queer!! (but theres also no way any main character in this series is not some sort of queer, i mean it's literally just. a large metaphor about discrimination. specifically queerphobia but literally just discrimination as a whole. i mean literally sevens whole thing mirrored HORRIBLE groups like nazis and the kkk with them trying to eradicate the fairies and anyone different if that makes sense) i havent reread this series in a while apart from xelrik moments so i cant call out many specifics however!! brystal being the first one to connect to lucy <3

and wow the third book. xanthous being the LITERAL KING OF HELL? hell yeah!!! my man got a boyfriend and a whole army of fire behind him. AND HE TREATS THEM FAIRLY!!! im just confused how elrik manages to stay alive? (i like to think that while xanthous is taking care of the whole tlos thing elrik is watching over the firey pits of hell they rule together <3) i cant express how much i love that colfer just made these two gay asses the RULERS OF HELL. and oh xanthous as a whole!!!

his abusive dad saying he cant do anything unmanly. i love love thinking that eventually, one day, emeralda (emerelda?? i forgot help) helps him realize that being 'unmanly' is okay and helps him work through his trauma cause they have a really cute sibling dynamic!!! <3

im back to this bc i was thinking about it in the shower and disclaimer this idea will be a bbc merlin x pjo crossover. also this is all over the place and doesn't make any sense. i'm sorry.

anyways i was thinking about percy meeting emrys, celtic/welsh deity whatever tf he is and being like ??? another mythology?? and leon is like "fuck they found me" bc he can idk sense or smell his greek blood. uh btw percy is from post tlo but pre tlh, au where hera gets snatched before she can switch jason and percy. so now mythologies are converging. greek vs roman, norse vs celtic/welsh, since emrys has protection over leon and zeus is petty and recognizes leon and wants him dead - welsh/celtic vs greek. idk where egyptian would factor in bc in canon greek and egyptian got along but were kept separate bc they were too powerful. perhaps greek and egyptian alliance??? suffice it to say its a goddamn mess.

(when leon saw percy, he joked about not wanting to get involved in the messes the greek gods make and percy agreed but warned him about jinxing it. merlin responded that theres nothing much going on in their world so theres not much the greek gods could do. except maybe somehow bring arthur back. now they're at war. merlin refuses to admit that they're at fault for that)

perhaps albion was believed to be the name of the land when it was actually the british isles. albion is actually the realm of the gods. now that all the mythologies are warring, albion is in disarray. arthur rises.

uh so in canon mordred's blade was forged in aithusa's breath just like excalibur and since both blades could kill anything, i'm headcanoning that arthur was also meant to be immortal like merlin and some sort of deity like him. anyways now they're at war but like no one really wants to be at war so they have to fight like hell to reach some sort of peace and once that happens then idk the veil between the mortal and godly world is lifted and magic floods back into the world and we have modern with magic. idk ignore me. this was a shower thought. it made more sense when i was delirious from the heat

Idk why but this is the first thing that popped in my mind…Charlotte Bailey as Madame Weatherberry

4. Skylene promises the Book Huggers (who are the same characters btw) she will tell them where Xanthous went if they’re sworn to secrecy. This happens shortly before the events of Book Three and she never gets the chance to

5. Bree summons the Demons to help in the battle of New York bc technically she’s the Demon King.

(unless you want Xanthous to still be the Demon King. In that case he may or may not summon the Demons to destroy everything)

YJ/PJO AU, before the team was created, Diana,Orion/Arthur, Zatara and Oliver Part-1(?):

Okay, remember how I said that Diana though that Oliver was a legacy of Apollo?

That was only during the first few months of Green Arrow joining the team

Diana found out when going on a mission with him, a Hellhound tried to jump on her and was killed by a celestial bronze arrow

(Apparently GA has a secret compartment full of them on his quiver)

(“Look, I know it looks like I just killed a big dog but-”“Which one.”“What”“Which one is your godly parent? Apollo? Hermes?”“.......Apollo”)

(Then Diana jokingly says that from now on he should call her Aunt Diana because technically she is his father sister)

He calls her that when he is hurt, having an heated argument with her and when there is a joking mood in the air and there is people who know the truth about the greek world

When there a something from Poseidonis that was stolen by a monster and was taken to Star City, Orion was kind of wary of going there

Star City, Gotham and surprisingly Central City attract a lot of monsters, almost as many as San Francisco, so you can say he didn’t want to go there

So he asked Diana help because she knows that Star City is basically packed with monsters

She doesn’t like that her nephew lives there

Using technology

Diana thinks that he as a death wish

She agrees and says that she will have someone there to help them ready

So you can say that he was shocked when he saw Oliver and WW together in the docks waiting for him

(“What is he doing here? I know that this is his city and all, but why?”“He is a demigod.”“Oh, which one?”“First of all, ‘he’ can talk, and second of all, Apollo.”)

So yeah, from that they on they kind of became friends

The moment that Batman noticed this he became suspicious

I mean, he could explain Arthur and Diana (both cultures involving around Greek Gods and all) but why Oliver?

When he asks about it he gets mixed reactions:

From Diana, she told him that it was none of his business

From Orion, he said that he couldn’t tell and that Diana would kill him

And from Oliver, he only received a sheepish grin and a “Sorry, Au-Diana would skin me alive and make me see my father again”

(While Oliver admits that he doesn’t like being ignored by his godly father, he kind of has his own life, besides, if his father saw the scars from his ‘other job’ he would probably forbid him from being Green Arrow)

It really pissed him off

The group was called ‘The Greek Trio’ by Wally

Zatara joined once he heard them speak Ancient Greek

He ended up joining the group

They were surprised when they learned that Hecate was his girlfriend

Ironically, when she came, Oliver was away on Star City

They ended up watching Zatanna grow up to the woman she is today

When Captain Marvel joined the League, he was also joined the group, but it was turned into a temporary membership when it was revealed that he was a kid

(They still included him in stuff, just the less dangerous stuff and they tried to say less swear words)

(Diana had an argument with her father after she discovered that he allowed it to happen and Orion gave Poseidon when he wasn’t looking at least a ‘I am disappointed in you’ glare)

Nabu once tried to enter their group because he thought that just because he had the body of one of its members he was allowed in, he was quickly corrected and kicked out

One time, when the league was doing a meet-the-fans thing, they ended up finding a lot of monsters

Arthur almost died

They made the mist show a shapeshifter monster that was really fast

When Oliver was kidnapped before tlo, the league though that a mortal had kidnapped him, as it was what mortals saw during the Ball GA was at, the group knew better

They saw a monster take him

They are pretty sure that Batman may be a descendant of Hades (one of his rare sane children)

And that Dick is a descendant of Zeus

One time Diana went to a winter solstice meeting, she was under a spell Zatara was sick and his magic accidentally reacted on her and Aquaman that made them speak in the past tense, she even told the gods this

She actually meet one of his siblings

They were trying to draw his face

She gave them pointers on what should be fixed

When they asked if she knew him she said yes

She showed them a video (though she didn’t tell them that it was from 2 day before) that had a right-before-the-isle!Oliver(Zatara's magic accidentally made him younger), Arthur and her together

When one of them gets hurt during a mission or patrol they have different yet similar way of making them stay in bed and recover

For Diana, Oliver and Orion threat to tell her mother and father that she as been hurt

For Orion, Diana and Ollie threat to tell not only to his family but tell Poseidon that one of his subjects isn’t taking care of himself

And for Oliver, WW and Aquaman tell him that they will tell his father and his siblings (and later on Dinah if she doesn’t know), knowing that they will basically lecture him on why he should rest and recover while basically doing everything for him that, and not so secretly moving him out of Star City

Orion had to leave to the Seas when the war underwater started

He still he received news from the surface world

He got really panicked when he discovered that Oliver had been kidnapped

When Poseidon asked why he was freaking out he said that a demigod friend of his was kidnapped by monsters

Diana got kind of worried when she heard that a second war with the Titans was coming and it only got worse when she discovered that Ollie was kidnapped by a monster

So, as a little side project

I decided to sort my MFHG tributes into Hogwarts houses. What I’ve determined is:

Tris Prior (Divergent) as Gryffindor

Part of this comes from her choosing Dauntless, both the faction of the brave and a brave choice. Gryffindor was obvious. She does have Erudite traits, but she doesn’t value intelligence like she does bravery, and that puts her in Gryffindor

Peter Hayes (Divergent) as Gryffindor

As a non-Divergent Dauntless, bravery would be his main trait. He definitely has Southern qualities - especially in the first book - but his status as Dauntless would mean that bravery is his main trait.

Arthur Pendragon (Merlin) as Gryffindor

Not only is he brave and selfless, but he’s chivalrous - another trait associated with Gryffindors. He keeps his word and follows a code.

Wanda Maximoff (MCU) as Slytherin

I almost went with Hufflepuff, but my roommate convinced me she is a slytherin. She does a lot of what she does because she feels like it’s the thing to do - especially after Pietro died. Yes, she works to save the world, but she does it because she feels like it’s necessary. And some of it is righting a wrong against her brother.

Peter Parker (MCU) as Hufflepuff

A lot of what he does is because he wants to help others. Doing the right thing is his main motivation.

Annabeth Chase (Percy Jackson) as Slytherin

She’s one of the most ambitious characters in the story, and her fatal flaw is her pride. She will do what she sets her mind to, no matter what.

Percy Jackson (Percy Jackson) as Hufflepuff

His mortal flaw is loyalty, and it’s his main motivation. In LT, he goes on a quest for his mom. In SoM, he goes on a quest for Grover. In TTC and BotL, he goes on a quest for Annabeth. In TLO, he defends his city. In SoN, he goes to Camp Jupiter because he wants to reunite with Annabeth. Hence, he is a Hufflepuff.

Skipping the Harry Potter characters, since they already have canon houses.

Cassandra Cillian (The Librarians) as Ravenclaw

Not only is she smart, not only does she take pride in her intelligence, but evil Cassandra’s main motivation was applying her knowledge. The worst version of her was someone who tested her theories (of course, that included killing several people, but still).

Ezekiel Jones (The Librarians) as Gryffindor

He does a lot of Slytherin and Hufflepuff things, especially in Point of Salvation and the last Christmas episode. But in Apple of Discord, he gives a lecture about cowardice - suggesting that cowardice is one thing he despises. Add to that that he displays dare devil behavior once or twice, and I’d place him in Gryffindor.

Sadie Kane (Kane Chronicles) as Hufflepuff

I almost put her in Gryffindor, but she’s constantly motivated by her family, so I think she’s more of a Hufflepuff. She’s defensive of her grandparents and brother on multiple occasions, and her family and friends seem to be her main motive.

Carter Kane (Kane Chronicles) as Ravenclaw

He sees knowledge as a tool, and uses it to help him and his sister. He’s able to lead with wisdom, and always wants to plan.

Megan (Reckoners Series) as Hufflepuff

While under the influence of Calamity, Megan’s love and trust for David is what broke through. She shows that her loyalty is her main motivation, more so than taking down the epics or fighting for what’s right.

David Charleston (Reckoners Series) as Slytherin

He’s the one who convinced the Reckoners to take on their most ambitious hit. He’s constantly looking forward, always ready to pull some ambitious plan to help others. He’s also somewhat charismatic, proven by the fact that he manages to convince others to follow him.

Moana (Moana) as Hufflepuff

She’s hardworking. She looks to her ancestors to guide her. And she went out into the open ocean with no idea what she was doing because her island needed her. That makes her a Hufflepuff.

Flynn Rider (Tangled) as Slytherin

Before meeting Rapunzel, his main goal was to get as much for himself as he could. He betrays his team at the beginning of the episode, wishes for a castle, money, and an island for himself at several points in the movie. Even when he does have a change of heart, it’s because of someone he cares for.

Isi (Books of Bayern) as Ravenclaw

I was originally going to say Hufflepuff, but I feel like her journey rediscovering windspeak and then helping Enna through her research (initially) makes her more of a Ravenclaw.

Finn (Books of Bayern) as Gryffindor

He’s brave, he’s loyal, and he’s chivalrous. Even before the events of the book, he wanted to be able to fight for his kingdom. He’s one of the best soldiers of Bayern’s Own, and always seems to be there when you need him.

Jason (Atlantis) as Gryffindor

The guy took some old lady’s word and interrupted it to mean that he alone could defeat the Minotaur. He constantly helps out others, usually by being just as reckless.

Miri (Princess Academy) as Slytherin

She looked at the world, decided she was done being treated as lesser, and went on to surprise literally everyone she knew. She managed to help her mountain economically, left her home to learn more, and gains the trust of the royal family. She never falters in her path - she sets her sight on something and achieves it.
