i wasn't a harry potter or pjo girlie i was a land of stories and tale of magic girlieeee. this also took me a little longer cause i got lazy halfway through finding everything and making it 😭

I go love the last book of TLOS but the prologue and epilogue were lacking.

Like it had so many thing that didn't make sense. Like you're (Chris colfer) saying Conner's kids wouldn't vacation to the land of stories? You're saying Alex didn't regularly visit her niece sand nephews and entertain them with magic? you're saying none of them had any interest in learning magic?

anyway I don't like it, so I came up with my own idea. (I'm not actually writing a whole prologue and epilogue, these are just ideas)

and these do go with the theme of them being Conner centric like most of the last book.

prologue: Conner getting his first book published. It would be such an important moment for him especially considering how dedicated he into it. When he finds out (or however that works, ive never published a book before) he immediately tell Alex and Bree and then surprises everyone else.

epilogue: conner's first book signing. cause like in canon it was sorta like that, but his first one would be a much bigger moment. Just him being surrounded by the people he cares about supporting him and getting compliments and smiles from total strangers complimenting his work. It would be such big step for him. (Also awkward blushy Conner is so great)

and he'd be a lot younger, so while a few things about his life would be confirmed the fans could also have a chance to come up with their own idea about how his (and Alex's) life would go, sainted of learning about everything immediately.

oh and bree wouldn't be freaking dead.

For the magisterium characters they're taken out of tbk (about in the middle, murder attempts have happened but Jens death was most recent, no one's been caught) and for tlos probably a Grimm Warning or Beyond the Kingdoms (I haven't reread it in ages sorry but the hyper fixation is returning)

Theres no challenge on day one they just need to.settle into their rooms and sort through their shit and comprehend the fact that they're here and whatever.

Then first challenge on the official day one is fight an elemental. Obviously magisterium characters have the advantage. Considering they're all mages and 2 Makers, they automatically have an advantage. That's why some of these will also be a test of intelligence (which a lot of them seem to be lacking, looking at the bitch who ran straight towards a deadly elemental TWICE). I haven't really thought of the rest yet.

Desperately fighting back the urge to reread the land of stories :( So here have some doodles I made :>

so a few people have mentioned that Bree’s characterization was inconsistent . Mostly because Conner had described her as calm and collected but she screamed when she saw the fairy skeleton and froze up when Lloyd kidnapped her.

I feel like that’s a bit unfair to Bree though.

First of all, Conner is an unreliable narrator. Sure a lot what he said can be taken as facts, but he is easily influenced by his emotions and do we forget that Conner has a huge crush on Bree. Of course he’s going to over exaggerated the things he likes about her.

Second of all, everything that’s going on is very new to Bree. Yes, she read murder mysteries and even had an adventure with Conner on the third book, but that doesn’t mean fully understands what being in danger is really like.

Bree was mostly safe during the majority of the third book, and even when she was in danger she was near someone who had experience with this stuff and who she trusted to help her. Not only that but reading and watching show and book about murder or danger can’t possibly prepare you for the real thing.

Bree jumped when she saw a skeleton because, 1 it was a bit of shock, and 2 I don’t she’s ever seen a skeleton of like anything nearly that gruesome, remember she was in the castle during the majority of the battle during the third book, and I doubt she was watching as everyone was killing each other

She froze up when Lloyd pointed a gun to her head, because she understand and process this danger a lot better then she does magic or swords. Magic and speed are in fairytales and personally I see Bree quite similar to Alex in the regard of talk by the fairytale world as a fun adventure rather than anything actually dangerous. Guns are from the other world, Bree would feel much more threatened by something that has more meaning and value when it comes to being dangerous if it comes from the world she is from.

so yeah it makes a lot of sense why Bree’s character might seem inconsistent when what she does actually makes quite a bit of sense.
