#art topic

anyone got any ideas of like, topics i can make art about for an entire year? i have to figure out a topic for ap drawing where we have to research and build on it, and it has to be something im interested in, and we have to be able to make at least 7-8 pieces of art surrounding that topic and being able to clearly relay our topic through that art ;-;

I had an asked about this, but I deleted it by accident... I'll answer it because it's important.

They asked why I couldn't stay in one style (probably about my recent drawings posts)?

Art style is so funny to me because I don't stay in one style or in the same form of it. It varies depending on what my mood is or the energy I have for the work.

Realism? Either a lot of energy and focus or in total peace (pretty rare, but I'm woring on it).

Anime? Like realism, but more silly.

Cartoon? Very silly, don't take it seriously.

Doodles? Good luck figuring that out bc idfk lol.

And that's not even touching on the different types of media! Like sketch, digital, painting, etc.

Of course, like fingerprints, you can still tell the creators work if you have seen enough of their art to recognize the piece. Which that it self is pretty awesome to think about!

Ugh, I love it! There's no rules when it comes to create, it's just a way to express feelings and thoughts on a blank canvas. Even after a long time on creating and learning about art, that's still fascinate me.

So, in short, I don't care nor want to pick a certain style. As long I'm having fun and it brings joy to others, then I'm gonna keep on making my goofy drawings!

Trying to understand feet anatomy is scary because on one hand it makes drawing feet and shoes easier but on the other if someone walks up and sees what I’m drawing they’ll think I’m into feet and that’s horrifying imo

The Wedding Dress

Update The 2nd - I debated putting this in the original post but honestly its getting way too long so new post!

I have blocked the skirt! And she was big, measuring about 1.95 - 2m in diameter:

Yes, that is hanging on the wall in my halfway - that was the only place I could leave her safely away from my toddler for the 3 days it took to dry. I'm am still working out a way of blocking the bodice and hanging the entire thing back up to dry without the weight of the skirt dragging everything down while it's damp. Most likely i'll stuff the skirt into a laundry bag and suspend it underneath somehow. Previously the skirt hit me right under the knee but post-blocking it sits low to mid-calf length:

I have yet to finish the underdress, it's happening, I'm just really not keen on cutting pattern pieces recently.

there are a lot of evil people in the world and a lot of darkness in the world and so it’s very important for me to stress that now more than ever is the time to spread kindness and compassion. combat the evil by not only not partaking in it, but actively refuting it. destroy the notion that being compassionate or generous or kind to someone is uncool or embarrassing or even scary. be the change you want to see. start a chain reaction. positivity only breeds more positivity. do an act of kindness for someone so that that person who is too afraid to do it themselves can see you, realize that they’re not alone, and perhaps sheepishly follow your example. and then the next person who is too afraid but sees that person can do the same. when bad news comes out about bad people or horrible atrocities in the world it’s such an easy impulse to despair, and obviously it’s important to feel what you need to feel. grieve. be angry. be sorrowful. be empathetic. but dust off your pants and get up and be a part of a chain reaction that, no matter how small the scale, and spread compassion and love and care. all the reasons why you might not—“it’s hard! it’s scary! people will make fun of me! it’s useless because there’s too much evil!” are all grade A arguments as to why you should. you have no idea how many people you could inspire to do the same. even if it doesn’t get you anyway far, you can at least say you have the nobility of trying. please choose love and please choose life. you are worth loving and you are worth inspiring others to love
