I PLAN TOO!!! I even made an AO3 Account that haven’t used at all yet haha (it’s in my Links-and-Tags Page I believe! Sorry you probably can’t see it on Mobile App should work in Web Browser though?).

But um sorry for this being insanely Depressing but my Health (both Mental and Physical) is absolute GARBAGE. I’m currently dealing with Chronic Illness and Burnout from many Years so stuff that takes Creative Energy is VERY hard. Especially Drawing (and especially Fanart) cause I’m going through that Artist “Disillusioned with Own Art” Phase. I would LOVE to try Writing but I think I have to be VERY cautious with Burnout. The other Page I have (which you probably can’t see on Mobile) is Current-illness where I Talk/Vent about all this. I’m super mad, sad, and worried that I’m totally missing my window of KumoDesu’s Popularity plus my Window to Establish myself in this Fandom but unfortunately my Health is what it is.

yes!! sometimes it takes me a second, but I do respond to nearly every comment (unless it's spam).

definitely dusk, a sandman dreamling fic! MCD isn't usually my thing, but I really wanted to explore that in this fic.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

oooh hmm. "happy ending" is super vague to me ngl, but for most traditionally "and they lived happily ever after," I'll go with my soukoku royalty AU, thy kingdom come.

8. Do you get hate on fic?

oooh I've never gotten explicit hate! I've gotten unsolicited concrit and some more bizarre comments that I've ignored before though haha.

9. Do you write smut?

nope! I've written some more suggestive scenes in some of my fics (Let the River Rush In and circus freak, for example), but for the time being at least I'm not really interested in writing it.

10. Do you write crossovers?

Yes! The Promise of the World, which is a natsuyuu/howl's moving castle crossover, and Letters from Heaven, which is a HQ/Violet Evergarden crossover. Crossovers to me are really fun thought exercises; I like to see how certain events or characters can be interpreted in another canon.

I've gotten a request to have one translated, but now that I think about it I never got a link to it! so who knoooows haha

oooh, i have a kawoshin fic that lives rent free in my drafts and in my mind. i started it maybe 7 years ago? it is, in theory, a semi-canon compliant multiverse fic that combines manga, anime, and reboot movies canon, all centered around kaworu my beloved and his relationship with shinji. maybe one day I'll pick it up again! (I still need to see the last movie...)

16. What are your writing strengths?

ooh! hmm, I'd probably say interiority? love me some good introspection. a lot of my more recent fics especially are just excuses to dive into my faves' heads while something else happens in the background

PLOT lmao. most of my plot-heavy fics are crossovers bc they're based on events that are already lined out for me! which gives me more room to explore how my charas act and interact in an established story. surprise, even my plottier fics are really just character studies in disguise >:3 still, I would like to improve on this one day! just need to think of,,,an idea ajsldkfj

time for some blog lore..... THIS IS GONNA BE KINDA LONG AND RAMBLY SO BE WARNED-

Before this account was made, I actually had a different tumblr account for personal use (I never log into it anymore though lol) instead of writing. I was in the LMK fandom at the time, so I was reading x reader fics EVERYWHERE I could, from wattpad to tumblr to ao3.

And wouldn't you know it, when I was scrolling through the tags on tumblr I saw someone promoting their newly written fic they made on ao3!! I read it, loved the premise, and left a kudos and a comment (I think I left a comment? I'm not sure, I was a lurker as well when it came to reading HSDHSD).

Not too long after, I was scrolling through their blog and saw a post of them asking for any possible writing friends to interact. I thought 'hey!! i can write!!' and promptly sent them a dm. We chatted over our brainrot of the stinky monkeys and we grew to be pretty close writing buddies!! I even got to come up with a ship name for a pairing in the fic (the pairing was Macaque and Y/n, and Y/n in the fic was a baker, so I proposed the ship name 'Mooncake'. Still super proud of that ngl!! I'm pretty sure I made one for Wukong and Y/n too, but I forgot what it was </33 Mooncake was just so iconic to me).

We bounced off ideas from each other, and I sent them posts about Wukong (they were a Wukong Apologist and honestly, slay), and one of them actually managed to influence their characterization for him in a later chapter!! I was even writing my own LMK x reader fic at the time, and while I gave up on it after a while, they were the first person to ever read the first few paragraphs and gave me their thoughts.

Eventually, I had an urge to make a whole blog dedicated to x reader writings because I was inspired by them to make one, and when I told them they told me to go for it!!

Here's where the important bit comes in: This person's blog was themed around Sun Wukong. They're a Monkey King lover, they fucking love that stupid smelly monkey man!! So I told them "hey wouldnt it be funny if my blog was Macaque themed so we could match?" and they went "DUDE"

And boom!! That's the reason why my blog is Macaque themed!! I went through a LOT of custom tumblr themes (you know where you open someones blog and instead of being the regular tumblr blog layout its a totally new one that they customized themselves? Yeah that was me), meanwhile my friend just stuck to a simple 'Wukong pfp + header and orange background'. I think that matched our character themes really well HAHSAHSAH

Unfortunately, I'm sure that my friend is not working/active anymore. Their last post on tumblr was them apologizing for the lack of updates because of art school, and that was it. I don't know how long it's been since I checked up on the fic, but when I did, I found that their ao3 account was orphaned. So it's probably safe to assume that theyre not coming back to their tumblr acc either.

But still... I kept my Macaque theme. Even when my LMK interest started to fade and other media took over my brain, I refused to change it. Idk why, sentimentality I guess? It just felt wrong.

I have no idea where they are now, honestly. I just hope theyre doing okay. They were a super cool person, and I loved their fic and I loved talking to them and I loved being their friend!! Even if they probably wont see this post, I just want them to know how much of an impact they had on me. It was because of them I made this account, and got into writing requests and fics. And even if that didn't work out, they got me back to writing in general! They were an awesome person and they deserve everything good in life!!

I am very good at drawing objects and not at all good at drawing people! technical plans are something I’ve dealt with extensively both academically & professionally, but in the more general sense I’ve always been an ‘I can’t draw’ person. tbh I should find some of those artists who complain about backgrounds and just do all their architecture etc for them

What's something you'd like to create content for?

not to sound like a jerk, but I work in the arts industry & really hate the place ‘content creation’ has come to occupy in everyone’s vocabulary, even though I totally realize that in a context like this it’s probably just trying to be a vague enough term to be inclusive of the many different things people can create. I like writing the fanfic that I do, so without switching subjects, I would like to get better at drawing people because sometimes I have ideas that would be better expressed as images or even short comics

What's something you're currently obsessed with?

Obsessing over 60s who is my baseline so I don’t think that counts - but it’s been almost a month since I watched Holding Achilles & there have only been hours when I didn’t think of it, not entire days

What's something you were excited about that turned out to be disappointing this year?

Ngl, (& not to be a total downer, but) the last 12 months-ish have been an extremely busy/hectic/unpredictable year for me, with both the good & the bad stuff coming out of left field most of the time. So while there were certainly more than enough disappointments, for the most part, they weren’t the kinds of things you could be excited about beforehand (relatives dying, people fighting, strained relationships, illnesses, work stuff in a perpetual state of flux - or as I’ve taken to calling it: death disease & dubious employment). I suppose there were a lot of events I wanted to make it to that I didn’t, due to the aforementioned junk, and I certainly imagined myself getting to read more books & write more fics than I did, but that doesn’t feel like a good specific answer.

What's a hidden talent of yours?

I suppose that depends who you ask? There are lots of work or work-adjacent skills I could name that would be news to people on here, but those are such prominent parts of my life otherwise that they definitely don’t feel ‘hidden.’ But I guess even among people who expect me to be handy/crafty, more overtly artistic things tend to surprise them - like I’ve had people forget that I was the one who painted something, for instance, because that’s not the kind of skill most associate with me. (and I am very good with color & pigment tbh)

Are you religious?

nah. I’m not like, a committed atheist or anything either, I just grew up catholic & don’t go in for that anymore, nor do I have any desire to go seek out another faith

writing thoughts #2

ngl this is more of fustrated sorta post and I wanna start of by saying this is not directed at the r6s community in anyway. I firmly belive theres a huge amount of respect and care in the r6s community on tumblr that even with people I disagree on matters with, hold. in most cases (this is what I have seen at least) you r6s lot are all a delight to have

what fustrates me is other sorta uprising communities that have seen this real shift on how reader and writer sorta communicate. a real shift in how fandom sorta is these days and I can probably credit it to tiktok (its a shitty blow I know)

there was always sorta just this understanding between reader and writer. that fanficition is a hobby, we don’t get paid, its made primarly for the writer and then its shared. its always great to have feedback and to interact and have motivation. It’s like sharing your favourite toy with a friend and enjoying their enjoyment sorta thing yah know?

but these days idk its changed, I feel like in some communities that fanficition is sorta a demand these days, rather than just accepting whats out their I feel like people are exspecting things to be catered to exactly what they want with no care how it happens. let me break that down in certain ways.

the demand of repersentation

its something we critisize in media because thats multi million dollar companies who should be doing better. but in fanfiction idk it just feels :/. I can understand wanting something to fit you, speshly if its x reader. but its those random posts of people demanding there be more rep about said thing or even saying their disapointed in writers for not having it. and then they don’t even write it themselves. like its for the writer. if you want something like that, request it directly to someone, hell, write it yourself or even commision it. as the sole author of 2 tags I forced to get wrangled on ao3, people need to be the change they demand.

the demand of a certain fics

I see this huge uprise of people going ‘I want this fic where they: plot’ and its just a random post in the tags. like request it directly to someone or write it yourself. I love writing things directly requested to me cause its like you took the time to share that thought directly with me yah know? we make a connection in a way. its a suggestion, a request but making a post about it and shoving it in the tags and demanding it be written sucks, its removing the sorta connection a writer gets from a request and shows that they care nothing about actual writers but only whats written. its treated like content only

open critisism

I get maybe not liking something or whatever and having thoughts we all do. but people puting it in the main tag of the x reader where most likely the author is gonna see it really sucks, like fanfiction isn’t profesional in any matter. negative feedback on something that you don’t want any negative or constructive feeback is total balls. you don’t look at painting someone did for fun and then critisize it the same way you would on a professional art piece. let that person be happy! even if its bad just keep it quiet yeah?

but its not just readers I feel like that have changed its also writers. incorrect tagging is now the blight of my life. I speak about this mainly on ao3 as tumblr don’t have any requirements or specific options so like anything goes. people incorrectly tagging all the characters as / when its not actually a romantic relationship is killing me. please, just because you tag more doesn’t mean more people are gonna read it. then lack of tags, like I get not wanting to tag or whatever thats fine. theres options for that. like ‘author chose not to tag this’ but when people don’t tag that and then have one of the things as something that happens SUCKS, for example: major character death. I know it could spoil the fic which is why ‘Choose Not To Use Archive Warnings’ is there but not using that tag and then having said thing occur, its just not cool. It’s a lack respect to those who read your stuff. it takes like two seconds to correctly tag those big warnings.

then theres like people writing for stuff and they havent even seen any of the actual like source material like huh? I’m not fustrated so much about this one but more confused. like people writing about a character cause their hot but not like actually seeing how they are in canon? confuses the hell out of me, how do you know your getting their character right? like what? is it all hype? whats going on here? people seeing on picture of them and writing fan fiction, mate thats not the character ur writing for thats just ur oc in a skinsuit or at least your reducing the character down to basic archtypes and insulting whatever depth to the character there is in canon

overall its so discouraing looking to join a fandom and then seeing this. works treated like content and not the hobby that they are, lack of care for warnings

and like I know how it used to be once upon a time way back before ao3. (me using A/N is a remnant of the past that I will subject you to for the rest of my life) I feel like in some ways we are going backwards and in others we are going the wrong way. I’ve been on tumblr for a very- fuck its been 10 years- and I’ve seen some of this on the odd occasion before but like this is a new level. never have I seen the x reader tags so full of non x reader stuff like just random people saying whatever they want, I mean yeah the prn bots but like its just actual people destroying the tag system. if its not character x reader don’t tag it as yeah?

3. What fandoms do you write for? ACOTAR. I might do some Zutara (ATLA) in the future but for now these ACOTAR characters have me on a chokehold.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos? I only got 4 but the list goes like this: Wicked Thing (Elucien), The tragedy of Spring (Feylin), Prim and Proper (Elucien), The luck of the draw (Elucien)

5. Do you respond to comments? Yes! I looove comments they make me go like this 🥹 Just the idea of someone reading my writing and taking their time to leave a comment is honestly what fuels me! Writing is very self-gratifying but knowing someone else is enjoying what you wrote is next level.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I still haven’t finished my multichapters, but I will probably say the angstiest one so far was the Feylin one (no wonder) (don’t worry guys I’m still planning a happy ending for that one).

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? I love fluff so honestly all of them will have some type of HEA. The happiest one currently is the one where Elain comes only by rubbing herself on Lucien’s cock so… that one (it made ME happy at least).

8. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? This is actually a new endeavor for me, I am a smut reader for sure, but I was not sure I would be able to write it… till I did and apparently now I can’t stop.

Apparently I like to write very descriptive smut (I’m gonna tell you the sounds, the moans, the exact view of the filthy thing), I found myself surprised of what was coming out of me for my “Mature” fic that now I will have to change to explicit. I try to write sex in a way that makes sense for the characters and also to describe a dynamic through it. Also, I won’t stop until I get flustered by my own writing (i make myself blush ngl)

9. Do you write crossovers? Ive never done it but Ive been recently thinking about maybe making one of ACOTAR/TOG. I’m thinking Nesta and Fenrys, Nesta and Dorian, the possibilities are endless you know?

5. Do you respond to comments? Yes! I try my best to respond to all comments these days. I like having conversations with my readers!

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I don't do angsty endings. I'm demure. I'm mindful.

LOL, but no really, I almost always do some kind of hopeful/HEA kind of ending. But I have written some angsty drabbles. There is a Satharion drabble you can find in my drabble series called Mr. and Mrs. Ketos that is pretty sad for the prompt "to distract".

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Most of them. I'm a fluff girl. I think the happiest of happy is likely Burn Forever With Me because it's basically Elucien accepting the mating bond and going into a frenzy. Which how much happier can you get?

8. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Yes. Loads. At this point, the real question is when do I not write smut? And the answer is, not often.

My smut is very descriptive. I give people the manual. I like to make it immersive. I also have been told my smut is "smut with feelings" or "tender fucking". Which isn't to say it doesn't get raw and dirty. But I always am looking for what is the emotional core of this smut scene. How are they expressing love in this moment, even if it's one character snowballing cum into another's mouth? I also am always looking to make you kick your feet, even in the midst of a sex scene, so whenever I can, I try to show those little moments of tender touches that happen during sex.

9. Do you write crossovers? Yes! Actually I wrote a few crossovers when I was in That 70s Show fandom - notoriously cross overs with slasher films because loads of them had teenagers in the 70s haha. I haven't done one for ACOTAR yet, but I do have an ACOTAR/Crescent City Modern AU I've been thinking of for a while.

10. Have you ever had a fic translated? Not that I know.

11. Have you ever co-written a fic before? YES! Quite a lot. I've co-written with three authors. Two when I was in That 70's show fandom. And I've written two fics with my ACOTAR bff @crazy-ache and we have more plans in the future to keep writing together. I love co-writing. It's a great way to grow as a writer. And the creativity that comes from two brains is BIG.

12. What is your all-time favorite ship? I can't answer that. My OTPs are my children. All my ships I feel longing for, in different ways. I will say, I have been the most prolific with Elucien in terms of frequency of writing in a short amount of time. So clearly they have really touched a big part of me.

13. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? I mean all the fics I abandoned when I was younger? Definitely those lol.

14. What are your writing strengths? Dialogue. As seen above, I have written for a lot of sitcom fandoms, and when you write for those fandoms, you get practice with writing with sitcom cadence which really helps with writing pithy dialogue in other genres. I also think I am a very good introspective writer. I think I am best being inside characters' heads. I also do think I am good at smut. I wouldn't write it so much if I didn't think so.

15. What are your writing weaknesses?  SHUTTING THE FUCK UP. No seriously, I do tend to be on the wordy side. It's one of the reasons I get into drabble moods because I do need to learn to be more concise and try to execute a scene without making it 5000 words. I also write very wordy sentences that need to be slashed and slashed.

16. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? Oh, I doubt I'll be able to do that. I only know English.

17. First fandom you wrote for? That 70's Show!

18. Favorite fic you’ve written? Ack! Okay, that is so so hard. I don't even know what I'd say. I guess, if I had to absolutely choose, I would say Summer Heat because I think it is emblematic of all my skills as a writer in one fic. And it's the fic I introduced Alexius - the first OC I ever fully fleshed out and developed, and that will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart because Alexius has given me so much confidence I never knew I had being a writer. He's really let me know that I can write original content with original characters on my own and shown me how to do it.

HMMMMMMMM how do I do that indeed, the basics are honestly what you’d find on any basic tutorial about drawing a face (circle, cross in the middle of it, build the face around that - I really still can’t avoid that step and probably never will). As for the expressions, to be honest with you my way of going about them is thinking them up in emoji/kaomoji form first and then go from there. Emojis and kaomojis have to simplify expressions to the max since it’s such a simple format, right? But they’re still super expressive and convey exactly what they’re trying to say with one single glance, so using them as some kind of reference sheet has helped me a lot in figuring out what’s essential to express what I’m trying to say - still working on it though! I’m rarely satisfied with my expressions, they really do make or break a drawing don’t they............ you never stop learning, I guess!

One Direction- Creative Enjoyer. They were the first band I ever got into and my first concert, and I was crazy about them. I don't know if any fanfiction of mine still exists, but I for sure remember writing it lmao. It probably would have been on Quotev but I'm too afraid to go look for it lmao. (NEVER MIND I WENT AND LOOKED. MY REAL NAME AND FACE ARE TIED TO THE ACCOUNT WTF WERE YOU THINKING, 13 YEAR OLD ME)

Doctor Who- Creative Enjoyer. This would have been around the same time as 1D, and I know there's a few OC fics of mine floating around Quotev from like ten years ago. I am very much tempted to rewatch all of New Who. I was insane about Ninerose and Tenrose and I kind of want to see if I still am

Marvel- Creative enjoyer. I was a stucky fan, and my first couple of fics on AO3 were Marvel. I did also have an OC named Donnie Noviak at one point.

Steven Universe- Creative Enjoyer. I did a bunch of fanart, and I had a couple gem OCs that I thought were cool. I have a drawing of Stevonnie that I did the linework for, brought my sketchbook to school, and one of my friends who was an art student colored it for me. I'm not certain where that sketchbook went lol.

The Adventure Zone- Creative Enjoyer. TAZ Balance altered my brain chemistry permanently, even though I had gone into it knowing the big plot twist. I relisten to it once a year, it's so good. I wrote a couple one shots for it for a friend's birthday.

Star Wars- Creative Enjoyer. I don't really have much to say about this one lol, I was kind of insane about attempting to "fix" the bad writing of the sequel trilogy and what a disservice it did to my favorite characters.

Dan and Phil- Passive Enjoyer. I don't have much to say except they were foundational in late middle school-early high school. I went to both of their joint stage shows, once as a birthday present. There may or may not be pictures of me with cat whiskers drawn on my face. I still own their plushies.

Fall Out Boy- Creative enjoyer, I did a lot of fanart in high school, and I'm currently in the process of drawing a FOB tattoo based on my favorite song, (Coffee's for Closers), which coincidentally is what my url is a reference to. As much as I love Ghost, this is my favorite band, and they have been for nine years. Their music got me through a lot of rough shit, ngl. (Also idk if this counts as fan art, but I spent like six months making 250 bracelets to hand out at the two concerts I'm going to, one of which is in three days at the time I'm writing this. I'm very excited, I have incredible seats and I hope they play something wild for the surprise songs.)

Stardew Valley- Passive Enjoyer. This is my favorite video game, and I have over 500 hours on steam (one save file, my perfection run, has 200 of those hours), so probably around 600 hours total if you include how much I played it on mobile. I started in high school when I had a chromebook that would not run steam games, so I was mobile only until college and I got a real laptop. The fishing minigame sucked until I got a mouse too, lol. I've spent a lot of time and most of my lunch breaks in the last two weeks playing, because there was just a huge update and I'm going in blind and having so much fun.

Hermitcraft- Passive Enjoyer. I've been watching this server on and off since my senior year of high school. I really like watching people play Minecraft in so many different creative ways? Like, one of the people I watch spent a year and a half creating this giant dungeon minigame complete with custom sounds and levels, and it was insane. They started their tenth season about two months ago, and I am attempting to watch 13 of the 27 creators on the server. We'll see how that goes lol. Also, side tangent, one of the members mispronouncing my twitch username is why I named myself Dottie.

Critical Role- mainly passive, but I have written a oneshot about my favorite characters so I'll count it as creative. This has been how I spend my Thursday nights for about two and a half years, and this year, I actually get an episode of Candela Obscura, their horror rpg show, on my birthday.

Dungeon Meshi- Passive Enjoyer. I binged the anime, and just finished the manga. I was completely hooked by the premise, and the writing is absolutely incredible. I could also go on a tangent about the lore and character design, but I digress lol.

Ghost- Creative Enjoyer. This is the thing I've written the most for, and I think it takes up over half of my total AO3 word count? IDK. I have never been this active in a community, and I'm just so happy to be here. The characters are all super intriguing to me, and especially how the ghouls are technically blank slates, barring their on-stage behavior, it's so interesting to see how different people bring them to life.

Every second movie would come out in July so I would pretend it was like a birthday gift to me.

The Walking Dead - passive enjoyer - This was also a family affair. Every sunday we would all gather round our shitty TV for the newest episode. I was more of a liveblogger than anything else. My dad has a bit to this day that ‘Hershel isn’t dead. He’ll be back.’ Yeah, sure dad.

Legend of Zelda - creative enjoyer - For most of my childhood I was passive, only really doodling Twilight Princess stuff sometimes. Then BOTW came out and it all changed.

Lord of the Rings - passive enjoyer - I look at Legolas and Aragorn. That’s enough for me. I don’t need creative works because I just need to look at them.

Marvel (Spider-man and Loki mostly) - creative enjoyer - I’ve been drawing these guys since birth, for better or for worse. I ran the second most popular groupchat on MSPARP.com before it was MXRP.com. I had beef with mods. Most of my relationships at that time were forged in the fires of LOHAC. I still see my art of Dave in MCR black parade uniform around sometimes. Dramatical Murder - creative enjoyer - To no ones surprise. Yeah. I like the yaoi dissociation game. It's rather amusing that you claim to want dialogue yet you either call us offensive things yourself, or you engage with posts calling us offensive things. What kind of dialogue do you really expect on those grounds I wonder. Call it what it is, what you want is clout, not dialogue... well, matters naught. You have clearly already made up your mind that you got me all figured out. But allow me to try and change it, won't you?

So first thing's first, I went back and read over my most recent 5 or 6 blogs BEFORE you sent me this and tried to find these so-called offensive remarks you're referring to. Instead I found the latter- feel free to look them over again yourself if you doubt me! Here's some direct quotes from them that I would like to share with you:

Although I try my utmost to refrain from name-calling, I can admit that there are times I get a little snarky or snippy in my blogs. Hey, I won't pretend that I'm by any means perfect, but nowhere in any of my own blogs have I put any of you Sessrin fans down as people. It's your attitude I put down, not your opinions. You have a right to your opinions, and I have not on one occasion said you didn't. This may not apply to all of you shippers, but it applies to enough of you.

Time and time again I have told you all that I would love to participate in healthy discourse with you, but what do y'all do? Most of you who have decided to interact either come onto my blogs and make rude condescending remarks OR you just flag my blogs when I've kindly asked countless times to please keep them in the tags. There's never been anything inflammatory about them. So forgive me if I'm a little confused by your ask as nothing that I've addressed so far is really adding up to what you're saying.

If I like or comment on other anti-sessrin blogs that you find offensive, that's really not my issue. What the real offense here should be is Sessrin shippers posting fan art of Sesshomaru with young Rin and then tagging it under Sessrin. Pardon me if I'm disgusted by pedophilia and want to express it, and sorry to break it to you but that's a totally healthy reaction. What you guys need to do is post fan art with adult Rin and then we should be good. I thought older Rin was who you shipped Sesshomaru with anyhow, so maybe the art you post from now on should reflect that and only that for a change.

Last but not least, it's okay if you want to send an anon ask, nonnie, but how do you expect me to prove that I mean what I say if you don't come out and legitimately engage in real discourse with me? This isn't a very effective way to have a proper discussion, pro to anti, if you ask me. It's different when I get them from other antis, but it's always been you guys whose attention I most wanted to grab and whose interaction I most craved. Talking in this manner will achieve close to nothing, and I'm also not sure why you'd make assumptions about me when you have yet (as far as I'm aware) to interact.

Put your money where your mouth is and comment on a blog of mine and let's have that dialogue someday. That's not so much a challenge as it is an invitation, but take it however you want. Let me prove to you that my blogs aren't just clout as you say, since I already have with others before you and will surely for others after. I've encountered and dealt with my fair share of nasty shippers on your side- just calling it how it is- but never once did I insult them or mock them. At the top of my head, I can already think of four Sessrin shippers who have told me that they respect and appreciate the way I approach my blogs. Not to brag or anything, but I'm not sure there are a lot of other anti-sessrin blogs out there that could boast the same. I assure you that's exactly how I'd treat you too, just as long as you show me the same courtesy.

since you asked openly and not over dm, i am going to answer openly and not over dm. but first i wanna ask: do you really think i would lie in my tags? sure, sometimes i’m a bit of a drama queen when it comes to angst, but when i say this made me cry - then i mean it.

it didn’t make me cry because of sadness (though, the story is bittersweet and does carry a certain sadness with it therefore), but because it’s just so damn beatifully written, that i was simply overwhelemed with feelings.

i wish you would look at your writing the same way as i, and your other readers, do. because sentences like these:

It’s trust that leads to expectation, leads to betrayal, and then pain. If you’re lucky, maybe forgiveness in the end.

or

The last part of it was true. 80% of it - minus the ‘happy’; substitute it for ‘alive’ and it would be 100% right.

or

Funny thing is, when love lies, it hurts the most.

(and at this point i could just quote the entire damn fic and all other you wrote while i’m at it) - sentences like these rarely come easily to someone just like that as if it was nothing. some people are just born with a natural given talent, others only have a certain skillset they know how to use but need to work on and improve frequently. i, for example, am definitely the latter. sure, a little bit of talent must be there, otherwise i probably wouldn’t be able to write at all, but it’s not the same. you - you on the other hand are the former.

if - and that’s a big if - i could come up with lines like these, i’d need to work on them for-fucking-ever. i would try it out once and twice and would edit it for hours over days until they came out the same way as they did for you here. you? you basically just vomit them out and then look at it in disgust, even tho you just literally puked the most beautiful flowers, but all you see is your own vomit.

some artists learn to do art early on. they use references and read helpful tips and work on their artwork for years. and some of them have enough skill and natural given talent to make it big - in fandom, or outside of fandom. some of them won’t and they’re okay with it, because they have fun with what they’re creating. sure, when i was younger i did dream to become a big name, which is something i know now it’s not gonna happen. i’m writing because i have stories to tell and have fun doing so. (and yeah, ngl, the child in me will never stop dreaming of more, but i know how to stay realistic.)

and then there are artists who take a brush in their hand for the very first time and just let their hand lead - and create a masterpiece. because they just have an eye and a feeling for it - it’s always been there, they just needed to pick up a brush. that’s you, ana.

and i’m not saying that your fics are 100% perfect, becasue even the most talented artist looks at a line and changes it, or adds another clolor they didn’t think of before, to give it something that missed before (i have actually no idea what artists do, i’m just metaphoring here - just go with the flow), which is something you don’t do. you don’t edit your writing, don’t polish it, don’t leave it for a few days and come back to it, look at what is missing/what needs to be changed. (or you rarely do, at least.) your writing is raw.

but even the rawest piece is pure poetry and you write some of the most beautiful pieces i have ever read. and ana; i’ve been reading fanfiction since 2007. those big names who are known for their poetic wrtiting? yeah, they are fucking amazing, but i would take your fics over theirs any day.

you could be a big name in fandom - and fucking hell, outside of it too - if you wanted to easily. but you know what’s the main problem? you treat your writing like it’s some garbage - the love is missing. and we as the reader, we see this. it’s like looking at a gorgeous painting, but being distarcted by the smell of the dumpster it was thrown in.

if we weren’t friends i would fucking hate you out of pure envy. i totally do envy you for your talent, but unfortunately i love your fucking dumb ass too much. feel honored, bitch.

Thank you for not being mean or aggressive about this, and if you want me to tag it, I can totally do that if it still makes you uncomfortable. I apologize in advance for this long post but I just want to ease people’s concerns because I get it, it doesn’t look good if you don’t know the context lmao.

I agree with you that the canon characters do not have a good relationship, it would be creepy and predatory as they are in canon, and I would absolutely abhore it as it is. (I mean, I think it’s gonna be really interesting from a non-shippy point and I’m excited for the new game) We’re on the same page there, I get sick to my stomach when I see people ship things in that way- nonconsensual, a predatory older man and a scared younger woman (could be any gender and it’d still be bad tho) hell, even Jack x Ashi from Samurai Jack makes me mega uncomfortable (but its more with the canon writing itself and not the shippers).

But, that’s exactly what I don’t ship. I don’t ship canon William and Vanny, never have. No one else I associate with does either. There’s a huge difference between what I ship and what their canon relationship is. What happened was, me and some friends, before we knew more about the AR e-mails and more about their relationship, sorta came up with our own cutesy/non abusive headcanons and characterizations, and we got attached to them, they sorta became their own thing away from canon and that’s what we ship. 

We balance them out, William is still evil and kills people obviously but Vanny isn’t a helpless, scared little girl, she’s a programmer/technician and has the power to put him in his place if need be. Believe me, people fetishizing women as helpless and scared in their relationships with men triggers me. That’s not cute, that’s not shippy, and that’s not how we ship them. I like the idea of them being an edgy serial killer couple on the same footing without some gross or serious power imbalance, or Vanny is an edgelord fangirl of his and is just as creepy/evil as he is, but she’s not afraid of him. My fave interpretation (and yes, I’m aware it’s not canon) is that Vanny’s an edgy fangirl and she wants to help him BUT she’s too chicken to actually go kill people like he wants, or something like that, and that’s all that the “reluctance” is. That, and, it’s worth mentioning that we mainly headcanon Vanny as uh, the opposite of submissive to him... so we’re definitely not shipping them as “William is preying on her and she’s powerless/being coerced”. Oh no. Most of the time we’re (OR AT LEAST I AM) thirsting over Vanny being uh..... not submissive......

It’s like, for us, (and I don’t speak for all my friends that ship this BUT this is like, what we all usually talk about) this ship is more of a campy, fluffy, kinda silly thing, and as far as I’m aware, among my friends, none of us ship them in an abusive or gross way. If anyone did, then i wouldn’t agree with that interpretation of the ship (unless it was done as like, story that handles it well and not meant to be actually shipped, but that’s completely different)

I’ll also admit that in this ship, I do make William a sOFTER version of his canon self, (listen I love giving horrible villains actual personalities. like, they’re evil and bad and irredeemable but also maybe they’d behave long enough to get snuggles and genuinely treat someone they’re dating with respect while still killing other people and also they have other interests and hobbies sometimes other than murder, so they’re more like a person and not just a cartoonish monster 24/7. It’s not to try to excuse their crimes, it’s just, for fun.) and he’s like, not abusive.

 Yes, it’s pretty canon divergent, Vanny would probably be considered a different character at that point, but there’s so much other fanon and fan works that also stray really far away from canon. That’s been a thing in the FNAF fandom since like, forever. People have been making great and wildly successful AUs for FNAF for a long time, and I don’t see how this is much different. People have even found ways to make Henry x William work in a non disgusting way. Canonically? Hell no! But that’s what’s nice about this fandom, since we’re only given vague fragments of canon at a time, we’ve been given the freedom to come up with all these aus, and they’re great. And even when new canon stuff comes along that proves it wrong, they’re still great on their own. Sometimes, when people ship these things, they’re not shipping it because they LIKE abusive relationships, they’re doing it in spite of it because they got attatched to their own version of the characters and they make it their own, non-abusive thing.

Sorry this was so long but i hope this gets rid of your fear of me like actually being a fuckin creep and shipping something actually nasty. I really don’t want people to think that about me lmao and it’s not at all what Vanilliam is to me or my friends.
