I love being a lil hater as much as the next person and sure some things really rile me up but do you ever see someone who is just hating on everything all the time so much to the point where it's like, damn do you never have any joy?

I mean ultimately when it comes to writing yeah your allowed to write people however the way you write. But people are also allowed to complain and dislike that. So long as your not blatantly attacking people or raging or publicly naming there's no real harm.

Think of it this way. You go to an ice cream shop and you ask for a scoop of chocolate ice cream. Now, you could get a range of different interpretations from that, they could have white chocolate, double fudge, diary milk ect ect. Now ultimately you'll have to decide which type of 'chocolate' ice cream is for you. Fustration comes around when you ask and then get cookies and cream ice cream. Yet the store owner insists it's chocolate. Like yes it can be good, yes some people may like it but it's not chocolate.

Having characters so widely out of character, sure some people are going to like it but it's no longer that character. Especially if canon, well written canon, specifies the exact opposite. There's no real point to slapping the characters on when it's not even the character anymore. People looking for that specific character are gonna be annoyed and not come back, then go complain to their friends. In some cases a DM or in this case on ones blog, (not spamming the x reader tags.)

I think it's a case of trying to tell the characters story vs using the characters to tell a story. If your that out of character there's no point even using that character anymore. It's oc's.

Sure you can do whatever you want with fiction. You can put a character in any situation you want but what's the point of even doing so if you don't stay true to the character?

When I said 'whats the point of simping over a character if you're not actually wanting to be with the character?' I meant, what's the point in calling it that character when their entire personality is totally fabricated by fandom. When they are so far out of character it's no longer that character what's the point? It's just a name and face claim for some oc character that they have created. If your a simp of the character you actually have to you know, like the original character.

Fanfiction is a love letter the the original content but when it's like this...idk it's not the same. What the COD fandom has these days is more akin to a lust letter more than anything.

Ultimately yeah they can write them however they like and people can disagree with the way they do so.

I think when it comes down to the bottom line regardless of how anyone feels about what your saying (I agree with you) you allowed to say your opinion.

I'm a firm believer of 'dont like don't read' and that you shouldn't comment negatively on someones work unless they ask for it. For fanfiction online is supposed to be simply shared. You haven't tagged (from what I've seen) anything in any of the x reader tags, you haven't gone on to other people's posts and complained, you havent blazed anything, you haven't named/shamed any blogs by name. None of what your saying is truly oppressive or bigotry. You have simply vented in the safety of your own posts. For someone to get mad about that? They have no real right. It's not fair. It's so entitled, if you can't vent here then where can you?

In terms of your argument, as someone who is more into kinks, even enjoying the odd CNC piece, I believe your totally right in what you say and the way your feeling is so reasonable.

The COD fandom wouldn't last a day in the real world. What fustrates me with all this fanficiton is not only is it out of character but everything's written and encouraging bad BDSM behaviour. Like NO ONE does BDSM like this.

There's no discussion of boundaries, theres no aftercare description, there's no love and care in these fics. BDSM is supposed to be a performance, it's ultimately light hearted and supposed to be enjoyable to both parties. It's playing around with your partner because that's what sex is supposed to be, fun.

The shit these people right is so obviously not right. It's directly the shit you see in high production porn, something that is always made to look good. Not to feel good. This stuff is all just normalised toxic and unhealthy relationships. What concerns me is with the forever younger generations, if this is the normality then what will they be like in an actual relationship? It effects their every day interactions too! Blatenly calling people daddy / mommy in mid day- that whole 'mommy- sorry- mommy- sorry...' tiktok trend is a perfect example of it. That shits embarrassing! It's uncomfortable and removes the whole part of 'concent' in the entirety of kink.

Forgive me that I go a little off topic but I firmly believe that this behaviour is part of a bigger picture. It shows the fandom interactions that dictate day to day life. The way that people talk to the actors, interact with the actors and voice actors in the game shows how fucked up this all is. There's no line between fan and artist. When it came to fanfiction in history there's always been that line. The shame, fear even, that always kept fandom seperate. Sure sometimes people would say what pairing or sexuality to the creator but nothing like we have today. For them to literally have to turn off chat because of what people are saying in a live stream is terrible! And I think it is directly linked to how normal and casual people online have become about these sort of things.

In terms of wanting to be degraded and CNC the entire thing is supposed to fantasy created in a safe environment. Sometimes it's not exactly something that someone can explain why, or go into the whole situation of mixing pain / pleasure. Yet people have lost that integral piece of the puzzle. It's fustrating and you don't have sex like that every single time?? They treat the most hardcore shit as your average Tuesday missing the preparation and communication that goes on.

To be honest, I'm probably one of the writers in the r6s that you dislike, I can't say I believe that I write either COD or R6S fully in character, even so, I can't imagie looking at COD characters and reducing them to this lack of safety careless playthings. People look a Price and, well, you can never tell someone sexual preferences but, they look at him and are like 'ah yes this man would have no regards to ones sexual safety' like ?????

When hes about to torture the butcher he makes is to clear for not only Gaz's boundaries but for Nik's aswell. No strings attached, their word is final and it's something I really appreciated as a player as well.

This man is constantly in danger having to deal with violence and torture and then people exspect him to come home and do what? The same thing on his partner? I can't imagine it, I genuinely don't think this man could stomach hurting his partner even in a safe BDSM way. It's the same with all these men in the military, why would they want to bring that home?

I'm not into König but I have played as him on the odd occasion in game and you can sort of get a feel for his personality. The shit people write about him is so incredibly out of character even with how little is defined by him. This man is the most nerdy character in the game. He so gives off the vibes that he's a massive gremlin with his voice lines and people look at that and are like 'ah yes he would treat me bad' Pardon me? He would have a fucking mental breakdown if he hurt his s/o.

Even Graves, the bastard he is, wouldn't do any of this shit. Sure he betrayed 141 but you can still tell he cares about his team, one of the things that makes him and the shadows such a compelling and enjoyable antagonist, is that he feels so human and realistic. When he starts to lose it and shout at them in Las Almas, you can tell he regrets it. You can tell in his voice that he's trying to keep it together and stay as that fun casual commander thing he has going on.

Admittedly I've used him for plot before but the people who hardcore simp for this man, how could you look at someone like that and thing he would rule the bedroom with an iron fist? The man who gets his employees to say 'yup-yup' instead of affirmative.

As someone who does write and does strive to make people as in character as possible, (admittedly with varing results) I just don't understand how people can go so far fetched. Whenever I've been given an prompt or whatever I'm constantly looking at intrections and lore that back up characters. A lot of stuff so many characters just wouldn't do. Daddy kink is the bane of my existence. Not because I don't enjoy it but because people assign it to everyone and in all honesty? Ive literally never met a man who's into it. Same with mommy.

In terms of characters across all the games I've played I think there's like maybe one character who I genuinely thought might be into it and that was Pagan Min from Farcry 4. Maybe Damon Salvatore from the Vampire Diaries.

Yeah you can never tell someones sexual preferences or what they do in the bedroom but you can at least try. Have lore or reasoning to back up your reasoning. Not this cluster fuck of general unhealthy, unrealistic glorified BDSM. It baffles me that people think that these characters would be even remotely comfortable with some of the stuff people wrote them to do.

At the bottom line, tiktok (and modern internet in general (it wasn't this bad until tiktok but it has been getting worse over the years)) has shown a bunch of adolescent people pictures of the COD characters. With the easy access and desensitization of kink this has created the effect we have today. I don't actually think any of the people who write this shit actually care about the characters. Their playing with the characters like dolls. A name and a face to an oc personality they have created in their head. Or even just taking tropes of people and applying them.

Your fustration is responsible and the way your expressing it is responsible aswell. This is your space. Your not hurting anyone, in fact your ability to recognise and create commentary on today's fandom scene is a positive rather than a negative.

thoughts after completing mw3

I can firmly say its not worth playing unless your a fan of DMZ. as someone who isn't, its horrible.

the game turns 180 on the style of the campaign and you lose a lot of the liner gameplay which made the first two games so enjoyable. in order for what I presume was to cut corners they opt for a more open world more feel. while the other games did have this on some levels it wasn't done in a fun way.

for example 'alone' in mw2 you have the entire stealth aspect with johnny and then in mw1 (I can't remember the mission but its the one where you getting farahs brother) you do open objective as gaz with price and even though its a big area it still feels quite nice and focused.

this weird open world thing was seen in the second to last mission but it was still straight forward. honestly the game felt rushed, empty, spotty and full of fuller content. the story line wasn't very solid and felt ehhhh.

don't even get me started on some of the actual normal missions like 'kill invisible dudes who instantly snipe you before you can see me' fuck me that was horrible. they give the illusion of that you could stealth around them but every time I attempted gaz would get seen. so idk if that was scripted or not but it sucked.

the final mission felt lackluster and dull.

I'll give them that the final cutscene was good and did tug at the heart strings. but also it felt like his death was more for shock value? to reference the previous games. ah idk. it's not bad I suppose but I also feel like it was tacked on, I wish they made it a bigger deal

I can't help but wonder what the level design would have been if they had more time. I miss the way they did things in the previous games and it also so short. they established such a good begining in mw1 and then had maybe not the best game AI but a really good sequeal in mw2. mw3 falls so flat. I miss missions where you spend the entire time stealth, I miss the interactions between soap and ghost, or gaz and price.

for what they delivered it really wasn't worth the price. would I still have bought it? yes because I wanted to experience it.

the lack of optimisation is insane, sure its early access but we all know that they won't fix these bugs. on one mission I was forced to put my graphics on the lowest setting to load it. I have a current gen graphics card. for some random moments my screen would be covered in low pixel smoke that would only clear if I did a 360.

the graphics were of course, amazing and photorealistic but somehow didn't deliver on the immersion that the previous games did. the voice acting and acting alone carried this game unfortuantly let down by the shotty writing, cheap level design and general cash grab vibe to the game.

I thought that this was supposed to be the last game but with the lack of question still to be answered it does feel like they could have another one. without soap though... the team doesn't feel complete. any attempt to bring in roach at this point would feel like hes there to replace him which isn't idk great.

vlad's still out there, so is graves and then the entire plotline with valeria / alejandro has yet to be touched on. I imagined they will bring one of those in for the raid series

the game feels like it has so many holes, mainly why was so little amount of troops sent in. like at times it feels like there only 141 in the world and like ??? speshly with the final mission like your telling me they got only one hotel squad to go with price and soap? against a bomb threat caused by one of the biggest terrorists out there? wtf is everyone doing???

it feels weak and overall I rate the game 4/10

Ohhh!! When Ghost straight up sat down and said “I don’t love you anymore.” My heart!!! Because you know this is exactly how he’d do it! He wouldn’t budge he’d just try and steamroll through it as quick as possible! Blunt and to the point with no remorse.

I don’t normally read angst because it’s just not my style but I really liked these, each was different and unique to the operators in their own way and showed their individual personalities. None of them felt copy pasted from the other and that is a feat in itself.

(⁠◍⁠•⁠ᴗ⁠•⁠◍⁠)⁠❤ Deep down Ghost would be of course upset, because he certainly cares but he knows that the harder he rips the bandade off the easier it's going to be in the long rate. He's rather your heart be broken for a few months and eventually get over it than the alternative.

Now that I look back of then I lowkey kinda realise they all cause a different state of grief. Gaz with anger, Price with bargaining, Ghost with acceptance and I suppose Soap with denial.

How easy it would be to destroy or hide that note and pretend one day he's going to wall through that door.

I think each person in 141 is really quite distinct in their own way. They all have that same level of passion certainly for their job and their team but they just express it in different ways.

Like Price has a team to look over so he's always got that calmness to him. He can control his anger and his emotions but in a way he still lets them show? That entire scene with him confronting Shepard is one I think back to a lot. He's pissed, he's offended, he's angry. These are his people that Shepards attacked but ultimately he's in front of a laptop. He can't do anything to Shepard. Not yet at least.

Ghost's care is in a similar position as Price, he's a lutentiant. It's his job to look after his team but he does it in a less emotionally charged way than Price does. Still makes the same impact. In Alone he keeps the mood light, he keeps chatter up with Soap else the gravity of the situation may bare down upon him. An entire army is hunting them. Soaps head needs to be clear and Ghost keeps him in the game. Especialy that scene when they reunite with Rudy after Alone.

Theres not a single hesitation for him to say he would wait for Soap. I think Ghost may be a distant and careful person but he also cares about the people in his charge. His own person experience may shape the way he goes about them but they won't cause any type of deglect.

This is one of the reason I think Ghost has gone to at least some type of counseling or therapy or something. Like he has some PTSD but that man isn't ever going to have a meltdown or an attack on the job. He wouldn't risk it. Ghost has full control of his emotions and everything. I know that you also have to be very much mentally fit for the military too.

Gaz I think is the most obvious with his care. He cares about people obviously. He puts it up front. Like that line when Kate gets taken 'I thought Laswell was your friend.' she's his friend, even if she's his employer it's a very straight up simple way of thinking. It's not his responsibility but he will do anything he can to help. Just like everyone else, he doesn't want people to hurt but I do feel like he will try to do things to soften blows. More of a short term in the moment thinker aposed to Ghost who sees the end goal rather easily.

Soap is a wildcard in my opinion. He's got a decent amount of experience with life but also learning. He knows how he will respond to things aswell. Personally I think he's quick to bend to the will of his friends. Not in like a bad way but in the way of he wants to see those around him happy. He likes seeing people laugh. The whole situation of him leaving I think he knows if he straight up told you he leaving and you started crying, he would give in.

Hmm. Whoops got away with that for a bit. As you can tell I do put some throught about these guys. I think also playing the game gave a different experience from just watching it. Having that small preasure to actually have to do it. But then again it was on Veteran difficulty. Oh! I missed one shot as Gaz with the suppressed rifle and Price had to shoot them. He does this dad voice and tells you to 'wait for his call and if they are walking to lead them into it' and god damn I really felt bad. That being said I also felt like I learnt something with that 'leading people into the shot' it was good. A different atomsphare.

Then again I was living under his praise. 'Good shot'??? Kill me. Anyway! I'm glad you liked it. It's been a while since I wrote something and same day posted it. I'm really enjoying cod, even PvP which totally surprised me. fuck knife players it's been good! I'm hoping to eventually do the raids with a friend but I've heard they are long and time zones n everything. I haven't watched anything with the raids so I'm excited to know what happens in terms of plot.

Still kinda bummed about the r6s skins in dbd. Like they added blitz's elite (an elite I loathe), wamai (a mid operator personality wise imo) and like the new guy. like whyyyyyyy? Why not do literally any of the poster children??? Like why Blitz's elite his normal skin's much better.

And why only survivors I wanna see Cav as Legion (all other stealthy killers are liscenced) or perhaps smoke as the clown (but I can understand them waking to keep his silhouette the same) they could have done Echo as skull merchant or Glaz as Gunslinger.

Nøkk perhaps as wraith (again silhouette issue so I get that) Hell if they wanted to do an elite skin, they could have done Alibi as the Hag with her elite. I know it's but of a pipe dream to hope for them as killers but it would have been nice to get like... Ash as a survivor skin.

it's kinda crazy to think about that I've make 106 works on ao3. That's not looking at chapters and headcanons (which I don't upload to ao3) I saw this just now and may not be a big deal for some but I think it's a huge accomplishment that I'm really happy with!

no surprising most of my works have been for r6s by a large mile I still think back to some of my older fics even from other fandoms (speshly when I get the odd comment) (rip my old unfinished wip's)

I remember stopping writing for a long while and then started to post in 2020 for a bit before properly returning in 2022 and highly doubt anyone that actively follows / reads my work is from that 2020 era or even earlier but regardless I want to thank everyone who I've met on the way! (To this point) there's been some bumps in the road but I've met some truly fucking sicc people on the way.

even if U just lurk in the corner it's been great just being able to do this hobby and share with y'all. there's nothing like seeing how a piece of my work affects someone in either in the comments, the tags or my asks it always bring a smile to my face. even seeing those spams of likes of someone going through my catalogue is always a fun thing to see
