i am adding onto this because i’m so disgusted by the things im seeing where people joke about not coming to help florida if there’s another hurricane and so on and so forth. if that’s you, what the fuck is wrong with you. more than four million people in florida voted for harris. and that doesn’t even include the literal children who live there who weren’t able to vote and are now watching you say that everyone in their state can actually die in a natural disaster. if you have the luxury of living in an area or state that voted blue, congratulations! you also have the luxury of acknowledging that you’re less likely to be effected by policies that will almost certainly be enacted in these next four years.
and for anyone who wants to argue with me that it’s just a joke or it’s not that serious: it is that serious. even if you’re joking, you’re still implying to millions of people who are already in danger from conservative policy that you won’t come help them, either. that you don’t consider them important. the people who voted for trump in those red states are not reading your jokes about them, but the people who voted blue there are. that’s who sees what you post, when you talk about giving up on the places they’re from. there are people in red states who mobilized for months to get other people like them to turn up for harris and for liberal policy, and it took you less than 24 hours to give up on them. and you expect them not to remember this, the next time you ask for their vote?
in the midst of your anger, please do not forget the brave people who came out to cast a blue vote in those red states. not just the swing states, but the known red states. i have seen so many people writing off entire areas in tones like ‘of course it was going to be red’ or ‘of course trump was going to get it’ and overlooking the fact that there are hundreds of thousands of people who voted blue in these red states. who showed up in the face of overwhelming odds, oppression, and active voter suppression and who still voted. people of color live in red states. women live in red states. queer people live in red states. they exist, and they voted with you, despite everything around them. there are people who waited in line for hours to make their vote count. there are people who drove across the country to return to vote in a state where their rights have already been encroached upon. so i am begging you, do not abandon them now. do not imply that these places are lost causes. do not let the results justify a ‘nothing can be done’ approach on your part. fight for these people, too. fight harder and more fiercely than ever before.

i think the funniest way to ship in any media is deliberately pairing up characters who have never interacted and probably never will. it’s fun it’s free and the only con is you will go slightly insane from lack of content

if you are unable to donate financially to help palestine, you can donate your time by protesting, boycotting, and putting up posters!
if all you have is your device and internet access, you can put your clicks to good use on arab.org. they use the advertising revenue generated by your clicks to help good causes.
and i would urge those able to spare a few dollars to donate to one or more of the following organizations:
eSims for Gaza
Direct aid for Gaza
Care for Gaza
Women for Women International
Institute for Middle East Understanding
Medical Aid for Palestinians
Palestine Children Relief Fund
Muslim Aid USA
Palestinian American Medical Association
Urgent support for medical professionals in Gaza
Emergency Relief for Gaza

I added this onto a master list but I’ve been meaning to make an individual post about it, palestine-shirts is a Palestinian family business I’ve been buying from for around a decade, I still have every single thing I’ve ever bought from them in perfect condition. they’re extremely high quality. From their about page:
About Us:
We are two brothers, born and raised in Palestine, and now, as we stand on the very same soil, we feel a deep calling to make a difference in the lives of our people. In the shadow of the enduring crisis that has cast a heavy veil over the Palestinian land, we've embarked on a heartfelt journey, giving birth to "Palestine-shirts.com" - not just a website, but a vessel of hope, unity, and unwavering support for our homeland.
I received this email from them in September stating they were struggling to keep their business running
Tumblr media
I can’t recommend them enough. They’re a really amazing business and they have a large range of products including handmade items from palestine

McDonald's brought back that stupid green shake early this year (most definitely because their sales suffered due to the boycott for Palestinian). Don't fall for their bullshit! Keep up the push!
