current fan creation landscape is kinda like if you went to a party with a homemade cake and everyone takes a slice and silently thumbs up at you with no attempt to start a conversation except for occasionally some guy sits in the corner with a tape recorder critiquing the cake as though he was a restaurant critic and another guy is handing the cake to an uber driver like "yeah i need you to find a restaurant that makes cake like this so i can have more of it" and the only person that's talked to you in 30 minutes is a very sweet little guy who was like "hey i liked your cake" and then ran away apologizing for bothering you the moment you said thank you.

I'm a little bit shy, when it comes to commenting on AO3, but your works are awesome. I've read almost all your fanfics about DabiHawks and they are all so sweet!! "Nesting Instinct" has altered my brain chemistry, I can't stop rereading it. Also, I really love how you write Keigo, he's so amazing in "White Collar Criminal, Red Feather Thief". The whole idea of that fic is really original and it was quite interesting to think about Hawks as a great thief and a villain, who overshadowed his father's name. I hope we will see more of his past in the next chapters!! Thank you for your hard work <3

Not part of any fic games, but I was going through my ao3 inbox and looked at my oldest replies and noticed how you were actually the first person to reply to me with my account that was not one of my friends! It was on the first Raptor Specialist fic over a year ago. June 2024.

Years and years ago I would sometimes comment on fics as a guest but stopped because I really didn’t know what to say and had a negative experience I think that I can’t even remember now. Only thing that lingers is a feeling of shame from misunderstanding some reference at the time.

I don’t know why exactly I changed things but I think I was so excited and happy about the update to your fic that I had to get my feelings out some how. I really enjoy that series so thank you for writing it!

Anyway, I mainly wanted to tell you thank you for being the one to set me off on being talkative on fics and telling authors that I appreciate their work <3

It’s made mine and other authors’ lives brighter for it and even made me some new friends! I really really enjoy commenting on fics, whether I get a reply or not, and I love being able to engage and make someone’s day brighter! It’s always fun taking part in shared interests and bouncing ideas off of each other or just spreading love ♥️♥️♥️

Been coming back to read this all week whenever I needed a pick me up. I'm so honoured that you decided to comment on my fic have have continued to do so with my other ones! I remember writing Raptor Specialist and recognising you as one of my first regular commenters which was a really big deal for me! The community engagement is a big part of what makes uploading fics rewarding for me and knowing that is what made me feel more confident commenting on fics myself!

I actually have a similar thing to you where I was so worried about misrepresenting how I felt, or getting the tone wrong when commenting that I just avoided it for ages.
