I want to show you my favourite music and dance as we're making hot chocolate in the middle of the night. I want to hug you and hold you close. I want to come home and listen to you talk about your day. I want to go on spontaneous trips with you. I want to visit galleries with you and laugh as we're making the same poses we see on couple of hundred years old portraits. I want you to send me random photos of things you pass by and find funny. I want it all, but the world expects it to be romantic or platonic, except what I feel for you is different and I just don't know. I don't, so I let it all go

Heavy truth and one of the most sensible contributions I’ve seen to this discussion. Ever since asexuality has started to be casually included in the greater LGBTQ+ community, non ace-specific content is being tagged as ace. That’s just what people do. Non aro-specific content in the aro tags is a similar indicator of at least some level of inclusion. It may not be the kind we’re aiming for, but it’s a start to build visibility.

If the aromantic community wants a special tag for aro-only content, let’s shift the discussion into making our own tags. Remember, Tags Get Spam... that’s kind of why people use them.
