Another beastie from Librum Prodigiosum! A Vishap dragon, this evil flying serpent comes from Armenian mythology! It is said to cause storms and eclipses, but more ominously is it known to steal children in order to replace them with its own!

LJS 443 is a collection in Armenian of commentaries, treatises, tables and diagrams concerning the calendar, by authors from the 7th to the 15th centuries. Written in Armenia after 1416, it includes a few ornamental headpieces and diagrams.

I’m starting a series where I draw my favourite characters in Armenian or South Caucasian clothing. I miss seeing more representation of other (smaller) countries in international media, which also includes video games. Most times we get the western orientalised version. Btw, I am aware that in most cases the creators don’t intend to represent real cultures, but just use them as inspiration. So, I’m not criticizing the inaccuracy. I just want to see more variations when it comes to southern cultures.

Немного обо мне 🤏🤏🤏

Последний раз я рисовала с собой такую штуку летом 2023, но она была сделана вообще на отебись. Над этой "анкетой"(?) я действительно постаралась, и сделала ее более конкретной и визуально поприятнее. Насколько поприятнее что мой "портрет" с рисунка заслужил стоять тут у меня на аватарке, хотя обычно я на аву ставлю всякие приколы....... Хотя вот сейчас я думаю, что возможно все же стоило поставить не флаг Армении а флаг Карабаха? Ладно, мне уже влом менять
