One day left before Zenkaikon and Arlo's coat is DONE. Not perfect, just done. My first time applying HTV to polyester and woo that was both frustrating and nerve-wracking. Not long enough and it won't adhere, but too long and the coat could scorch.

Some of the layers rippled and warped when I had to layer additional colors on top (I just had to go for shiny didn't I), but it looks decent when actually worn.

Also I'm terrible at math. So bad.

Arlo (Number Days) cosplay

This was a photoshoot I did last 2021 on time for Earth Day + in support of Pacthesis’ release of Number Days t-shirts (Specifically, Arlo “Tree Hugger” prints) for charity on Arbor Day. 

My country has unfortunate international shipping rates and couldn’t really afford one myself, so I hoped a tiny cosplay shoot of everyone’s favorite tree boi could help bump some attention to it instead. 

On the plus side, the fundraiser was successful! Thanks to the Tree Hugger tees, there’s also now an official Pacthesis merch shop. I unfortunately still can’t afford the rates, but a good friend of mine luckily gave me a Cashy Tally ho, mofos coaster haha

He is a box with typewriting paper. But I did end up making vertical slashes on the outlet, so it can actually hold up chargers. The back can also store things!

unpopular opinion but I really like the adventure zone. the first DND podcast I ever listened to was Taz Balance. I fell in love with it instantly. it was funny and silly and told a good story while being easy to follow for someone like me who didn't know how to play before hand. I learned how to play alongside the players and liked the goofs. it's what got me back into fanfiction writing and part of what gave me the courage to start actually posting them for people to read.

I've always had a hyperfixation on cryptozoology as long as I can remember and so amnesty caught my attention quickly. I love the chaos of it and apparently it's unpopular but I really loved Aubrey too. all of the players were great but apparently it's unpopular to like Aubrey and all Travis's characters in general. and Travis in general but I love Travis, his humor is exactly mine and Aubrey and Magnus are still on par with my favorites. I went as Arlo Thacker and Indrid Cold to the Halloween parties I had this year.

the first character I ever cosplayed was Magnus Burnsides and I got my partner to cosplay Taako. it was the first one and inspired a lot more creativity in me.

I love the graphic novels. I own all of them except for the eleventh hour because I can't afford it yet but I've read all of them they're all really well drawn and the story is amazing as always. all of them and all arcs of every campaign have made me cry easily. they're all that beautiful

finally I really really really liked graduation. I love Fitzroy. everything about crab boy magic man makes me happy. I like Rainer and her wheelchair, as someone who needs a wheelchair (but can't afford one rip american healthcare) it's nice to see and I also like that it's brought up in a jokey way when we first meet her. because it wasn't pity or anything. it was very in character for her. I like that we meet so many people up front because that's what it feels like when you move schools. there's so much new to the point of being overwhelming. I LOVE FIRBY AND HIS NO NAME!!!

I see so much hate towards taz and specifically towards Travis and I just can't understand it. also why expend your energy towards something you don't enjoy. just let people like things.

Thank you to everyone who's tagged along for another year, or recently joined the party. This past year felt like the year of community, building relationships with my fellow indie creatives and taking a slower approach to publishing.

A few other things I did last year; beat the Big Sad several times, read over a hundred books, crocheted a cosplay Arlo Rook jacket, attended my first Pride and author event, and nurtured a beautiful garden.

Next year will see the release of The Voice of Wild Places, and Mochizuki and Xlato which is the third book in the Levena series. Lots of writing, and hopefully some more art!

The con was so good, im just getting home now. Made some new friends! This is the most welcoming fandom honestly everyone is extremely nice and happy to see other hazbins/helluvas omg. There wasn’t much merch at all,,but the cosplayers honestly made up for it. I met this AMAZING Striker and we kept crossing paths and talking lmao he’s inviting me to his hazbin meet up group!! I also met an Arlo from Magic Funhouse and they were so excited to see me and matched energy, we also kept crossing paths and excitedly waving at each other lmao I got stopped so many damn times today to take photos and compliments it low key felt like a paparazzi and im not even trying to stroke my dick here I thought my cracking makeup and smears started making me look like ASS but im glad people looked past them! It always feels great when someone points and goes IT’S FIZZY or HI FIZZY! fucking still not over that Richard did it himself before I got to him GDHFHCV
