It's dog armor for a dog! For WardenCon 2019 my little brother let me dress his dog up and take him into the woods to take pictures with all the Grey Wardens. He's not exactly Mabari shaped but he is an excellent and wonderful boy who very patiently let me take measurements and put armor on him. I think the end result is very handsome. Let's hear it for Q Mung!

I did it! I got the Grey Warden mage armor cosplay done for RopeCon and kept the event safe from darkspawn! I got it finished just in time. It took over 7 hours to attach all the pyramid studs but I got them!!

The boots and the gloves took a time on their own as the sewing machine hated me and the fake leather fabric and I had never done anything like that. But overall? I felt like a hero (of Ferelden) the whole weekend! First ever cosplay and I'm so ready to make more!

I’m currently replaying all of the dragon age games right and honestly the fact that Anders took out his slutty little hoop earring is a tragedy I will never get over it.

My excitement for da4 is astronomical. I just finished Origins romancing the sweet sweet boy <3 which I hadn’t done in a while (I’m a Zevran girly to the end) and had them both live? It’s been a minute since I’ve done the weird god baby thing with Morrigan and honestlyyyyy what a world.

Anyway this drawing took me 8 hours and frankly I just don’t think it’s ever going to get finished and I’m decently happy with it right now — so therefore I must post so I can delete it from my procreate (ง •̀_•́)ง

CABINCON 2019 - WARDENCON

For one glorious October weekend in 2019, twelve friends and a few day trippers converged on a cabin and briefly filled it with wine and song, cosplay and cooking, feral energy and cursed content. Over the course of 3 days, we had 5 photoshoots, cooked 2 huge dinners, and cracked more horrible jokes than can be counted. We built bark armor, Grey Warden Standards, Dignity Wigglers, and best of all, enjoyed each others' company.

God I forgot what an absolute lunatic blackwall is

Man is just out in the hinterlands cosplaying. Like replaying the game knowing Solas is the Dread Wolf adds all this cool intrigue and double meaning but replaying it knowing about Blackwall is fucking wild. He looks you in the face and lies directly out of his ass. Solas is all doublespeak and careful omission and Blackwall just fully makes shit up. What a madlad. I'm obsessed with him. he's so fake it til you make it. He would kill it on TikTok just like "oh yeah grey wardens can't get COVID it's right here in the treaties" and no one calls him on it because the treaties are old as fuck and boring. Alistair (who is supposed to be able to sense the Blight) is like oh hey blackwall haha we've definitely met I totally remember you. No you Haven't, Alistair. You've never seen this jackass ever in your life. He looks Solas, god of betrayal, in the eyes and says with full confidence "Yes, I am a Grey Warden." And Solas is like Sure. Iron Bull? Buys his bullshit completely. Leliana? Thinks he's cool. Everyone else is like "you smell like shit but I guess that's just how Wardens smell" and he's like "Damn Right It Is Have I Told You My Vietnam Stories" guy was born in '68. You can flirt with him almost immediately. Character of all time. What the fuck.
