Regardless of how one feels about priesthood, confessing to one another and holding each other accountable isn't a bad thing however the Bible does distinctly mention Jesus being the high priest of Whom we can directly confess our sins to. Because it was originally set up in the old covenant in the OT where people had to go to levitical priests to sacrifice their sins, but with the new covenant it's different, the whole point is that Jesus has become the new and permanent High Priest who intercedes for us and our sins. HEBREWS 7:21 (for they indeed became priests without an oath, but He with an oath through the One who said to Him,

22 by the same extent Jesus also has become the guarantee of a better covenant.

It's important to the whole scope of salvation that we have direct contact and communication with Jesus and that He forgives us of our sins, human priests are still limited by their own humanness and even if one believes one can confess to priests for sin be it for accountability or something else, that doesn't negate the fact you can go to Jesus at any point without needing a priest to intercede for you. Jesus Christ is the Intercessor.

some of them arent even local recording. there will be a segment of the video with ass quality or a missing dip because they had twitch vod problems. i will only accept that from someone editing the video themself. i just know those editors got headaches from having to zoom in on the small chat display in the corner to see what the fuck the streamer is reacting to and how to convey that info to the audience because the streamer didnt bother to read the message out loud.

Probably a boomer opinion but what's with all these gaming youtubers who just stream themselves playing a game on twitch and then pay an editor to make the video. It's starting to feel like they aren't really making the video y'know like that noble editor made a highlights reel for me. How much are they getting paid? Because for some of these it feels like anything less than half the videos ad revenue is a scam. I dunno what happens behind the scenes but like some youtubers are doing hours of prep for their content and some are hitting go live.....

Ive been seeing lots of opinions on the QSMP admin situation here, after both Dapper and Pomme resigned and Quackity's statement, and i feel like some things should be said:

Firstly, yes, the abusive higher ups are to blame, immensely. But Quackity, as the CEO, is not free of responsibility. Not being involved, at all, with such an immense project, as the head of it all, is honestly so insane.

(I genuinely believed he didn't participate on the QSMP as a player because he worked so much behind the scenes, and it's unbelievable to me how he lied to us all.)

We must remember this is his project. With his name. He won awards and recognition worldwide because of it. He has so much to lose with all this situation. Money, reputation, friends.

Lets remember the admins have nothing to lose, at this point. They have no reason to cover things up or lie, unlike the Quackity Studios higher up team.

Now, about the statement he made last night.

The "legal reasons" — despite being a coherent explanation for not telling us, the audience, anything — arent an excuse for completely ghosting his employees. In fact, communicating actively with the people that work for him, could avoid him a lawsuit.

The leaks are not an excuse for not communicating w his employees. Keep in mind, Léa only came out because of the lack of communication. If Quackity had dealt with this stuff internally — as he should've done — Léa wouldn't have gone public in the first place.

Grouping all these people — the exploited and tired workers and the disappointed fans — into mere "haters" and saying they all just want the project to fail and to ruin Quackity's image is a really bad faith statement. Either he does not understand the situation (which is, imo, still really bad for him as the owner and CEO) or he just wants to discredit every and all criticism.

I can bet u every single admin in there put their heart and soul into the project. Their 2023 was defined by the project. They withstood way too much just so the project and Quackity's image would be protected, that's why we never heard about any of the exploitative conditions they worked under until Léa came out.

Most — if not all — of the admins signed up bc they love the QSMP, and wanted to help make it the best it could be.

But everyone has a limit. And this was theirs.

This might not be the end of the QSMP. But how will it hold up to what it was, without the eggs, the fun NPCs, the french, and Bad? I dont know.

About the Union:

Not emailing Quackity and waiting for him to contact them is certainly one of the decisions ever made. I don't quite understand the logic behind it, to be honest. It's not illegal, as far as i know, and i don't know how common that is, despite believing it's not very.

And i don't believe we should hold Quackity entirely responsible for not talking to them. Although, someone, like Aypierre, or Bad, or Antoine, or anyone else that has access to him and knows about the Union's involvement, must've told him.

Or not, we don't know.

And about the statement being public, i believe it was intentional. It's a public threat to him. They don't merely want to sue Quackity Studios, they want us, the fans, to know why they want to sue and that they are going to sue if they can't reach an agreement.

They are mobilizing the audience.

If that's a good move or not, judge it yourself.

I just believe not holding Quackity accountable for his decisions, as the owner of the company is wrong. And holding him accountable is not the same as hating the project.

Ten Under-Recognized Jirai Kei Characters!

Ive been meaning to make a post on some jirai kei characters that i think are underappreciated by the overseas landmine community! Mostly i think its bc they don't wear girly kei, cybercore, or other fashions associated with us on SNS, and bc their media came out before 2020. So ive compiled a list and an explanation for why i think they're jirai! I have another list for pien kei characters who arent jirai in my opinion too. If u have any characters u think the western jirai comm sleeps on, comment/reblog and tell me who & why!

1. Celestia Ludenberg

Celestia (Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc) has screamed landmine to me for like, ever! She's wrapped up in her appearance and at first glance makes the effort to come off as regal and formal. But she frequently lets that disguise slip and shows her sadistic side at the slightest inconvenience, threatening violence and screaming in peoples faces. She's got both a superiority complex AND inferiority complex, and has an unhealthy obsession with gambling, her super high school level talent.

2. Nijimin Anazawa

Nijimin (Mahou Shoujo Site) is super popular in the japanese jirai comm, and its easy to see why. She's easily lovestruck and a borderline yandere (dependent type), murderous and hellbent on revenge, and her magical power literally revolves around manipulating others. She's a beloved idol and a symbol of cuteness, but she's a murderous magical girl? How much more jirai can you get!

3. Mayoi Ayase

Mayoi (Ensemble Stars) is a very interesting character! From his obsession with the occult to his self depreciating behavior to his obsessive and stalkerish tendencies, he's an overall offputting yet charming guy. As an idol, he has fans who have a totally different image of him than the creep (affectionate) he can be at times behind the scenes. Also, not to stereotype, but his favorite sanrio character is kuromi, whos super popular within jirai.

4. Yuri

Yuri (Dokidoki Literature Club) being a landmine seems a little self-explanatory to me. She's a yandere character who's probably the most unassuming of the cast at first. She's shy, smart, kind... and a self-harming yandere with a knife fetish who will literally kill herself if you get involved romantically or reject her.

5. Yoosung

Wow, when's the last time I thought about Mystic Messanger? No idea, but Yoosung feels pretty jirai kei to me in retrospect. In the beginning of the game, hes the adorkable self-conscious junior with an unhealthy online addiction. But, by the end, he's a self-harming yandere who refuses to let the player character go, and is willing to do whatever it takes to secure a happily ever after.

6. Kusokawa-chan

While I have an immeasurable hatred for her creator, Kusokawa-chan (Menhera-chan spin-off 4komas) is a comfort character of mine... for some reason. With a name that means "kawaii trash", her personality is probably predictable. She's human trash, a sadistic asshole with no respect for others who will insult and berate you at the drop of a hat, and turn on a dime on her fans. She tries to cover it up by putting on an exaggerated innocent act and kawaii-fying herself and her life, but she just cant stop herself from exploding on others with no remorse.

7. Azusa Mukami

Admittedly, everything I know about Diabolik Lovers is through its fandom as I've yet to cave and buy the games. But from what little I know, Azusa seems pretty jirai. He seems innocent, fragile even- but has the typical amount of yandere tendencies for the series. He has a self harm addiction, and if you peruse his route you're in for a toxic time.

8. Satou Matsuzaka

This might be cheating because she's so popular on yandere tumblr, but Satou Matsuzaka (Happy Sugar Life) is ultra jirai kei. It's no wonder she's such a popular choice of pfp on japanese jiraitwt! She's obsessed with living out a fantasy saccarine-sweet life with the object of her desire, and given her full-blown yandere nature and her lolicon status, its no doubt shes a toxic partner. She's beloved at her school and workplace for her seemingly sweet nature and cute looks, but her kindness is only for the purposes of manipulation.

9. Kosame Amagai

Again, I'm no expert on Diabolik Lovers! But based on what my friends on yandereblr tell me, this guy is definately a jirai danshi. He's a lover of all things cute, who uses his cute shota-like appearance and polite manner of speech to lure others in. In reality, hes an abusive partner in his route, and takes his anger out on others verbally. He's willing to cry, scream, and threaten over the smallest of transgressions. Of course, he's also a yandere as per series standard.

10. Momonga

Okay so this is only half-serious, but there's a reason Momonga (Chiikawa) is so beloved by jirai girls and often depicted fitting the visual jirai stereotype in fanart. She's ultra cute! But she uses her appearance and acting vulnerable and innocent to try to get away with shithead behavior. She's loud, erratic, and self-obsessed, and often cries when she doesn't get her way. She's obviously the worlds cutest little manipulator, and she knows it.

Blu team guys v inspired by other blu team interpretations I’ve seen (Quazies, Emmet, several fanfics).

Basically after the spy head was kidnapped and studied, the cat was out of the bag that Blu team is made up of clones with some genetic variations. They share the same memories as the Red team prior to the gravel wars, but red team cannot completely rule out that both teams arent made up of clones. Plus they get paid to kill each other repeatedly, so they go on fighting as normal except with some existentialism

General BLU team differences:

though the teams are more or less matched, BLU tends to lose more battles

Members are a lot more scarred up than Red on account that they got the technology for the medigun after red did

Heavy | Boris: Big Brother of the team. Very sociable and fond of the other members. If you have a problem, you go to Boris about it. His English is a little limited, but he's a great listener. He has a penchant for gardening. Gay for Blu Medic, but more in a QPR way.

Demo | Malcolm DeGroot: Less an alcoholic, more a workaholic. Quite obsessed with perfecting his craft as a demoman. Constantly urging everyone to work harder on the battlefield. The only way to get him to take time off is by dragging him kicking and screaming. Works closely with the Engineer on projects. Takes great pride in the payload bombs.

Medic | Hans Ludwig: much more socially awkward and timid in battle than the Red Medic. He prioritizes his work and ability to support the team way more than his own health. Only really opens up with Heavy and Engie, and sometimes Pyro. Gay for blu heavy and engie. (I called him Victor before but the name hans grew on me sry for the confusion)

Soldier | John Doe: Very goofy but in a more self aware way. He plays into his identity as a soldier, but doesn't take it quite as seriously as Red. He has a strong passion for animals and the wilderness. Would love to work as a national park ranger someday. He likes photographing wild animals and landscapes. Gay for Red Demo.

Sniper | Sammy Mundy: A rather polite young man. Sure he throws piss jars on the battlefield, but he's very respectful to his teammates. Takes a lot of care to keep his living space tidy. Washes his hands very thoroughly after every battle.

Pyro: Really not too different from Red's Pyro, mainly in that we know very little about them. Uses sign language to communicate (mainly with Engie and Spy).

Spy: Originally behaved much more like the Red spy, but experiencing firsthand the experiments that confirmed they were clones made him weird and existential. He became particularly more involved in the Blu Scout's life.

Scout | Chase: Quieter than Red's Scout most of the time, but becomes hella competitive on the battlefield. Very artistically inclined, and is particularly into street art. Looks up to Heavy and Spy.

Engie | Sid Conagher: Probably the closest thing the team has to a leader. MUCH less sociable than Red engie, though he's got the best head on his shoulders and takes his job very seriously. Gay for Blu Medic.

Finding Punk Communities Online:

I’ll be honest, I can really only speak on behalf of tumblr here. I don’t use other socials all that much.

But! If you want to find a fun awesome punk community on tumblr, you are already off to a great start! Find a punk blog you like or who has similar music taste, see who they reblog from and tag in their posts. I’ve met a LOT of really cool people this way on here! (Shoutout to @polyamorouspunk and @my-chemical-ratz whose blogs you should check out simply because they are cool people). And I’ve also met people who are in bands, or involved with bands (like @necromancy-savant and @dopamineband (who don’t use their tumblr anymore 😭)). I didn’t meet these people right away, it took a while of steady interaction with tumblr to build up these connections.

There are also Discord communities too, I don’t use discord much but I *think* (?) I saw a post go around a while ago where someone was starting up a punk discord server? Honestly maybe I’ll take the time to start one up, it might make me use Discord more lmao

Finding Punk Communities IRL:

Bars and clubs aren’t the only places to find punks!!

I’d recommend checking out any queer spaces in your area, I doubt it would surprise you to learn how often these two groups overlap.

Also! If you are near a city, chances are you have an underground scene somewhere. Google and Reddit are great resources to find the places punks gather in your city. For example: in my city theres a cafe and record shop that are popular among the alternative crowd that I never would have found without the use of Google.

Otherwise, what are your hobbies? If you like gardening/are into solar punk, see if theres a local gardening club! (I’d say a 50/50 chance of punk or karens tbh with this one).

Start up a book club at a local library that focuses on books like 1984 and Brave New World.

Go to gigs that arent at bars or clubs, I went to one back in February that was at an abandoned church, that was turned into a concert venue. The place was child friendly so there was no alcohol, but there were a lot of cool people there!

And the best tip I have for you to avoid nazis is to just know their symbols and signs. Do a bit of research on it and familiarize yourself with what to avoid

Sun has been searching for someone who can 'bless' the curse of Moon (or whatever is making Moon be nasty murderous bloodthirsty man) for ages but mages r rare and most of them spend maybe one night trying to cure Moon before either getting got or being scared into getting tf outta there

so eventually word reaches Sun of a mage who's been looking for work, with the only catch being that they arent very powerful and no one has much to say abt them, and Sun, who has burnt every single thread he has trying to find a mage, is like GOOD ENOUGH CALL THEM HERE

and reader is like 'oh shit this is potentially a rlly good job, the only catch is that i have to deal w a demon possessed guy thats like twice my height and three times as strong,,' and like. bc they have Zero Options and also feel like their life has run itself into th ground and there is little left for them/no way to get themselves out of their Issues, they r like 'yeah sure its gonna take a while bc i can only perform minor magic but i'll do whatever i can to see that this curse is delt with'

and instead of trying to face Moon head on, they start with just kinda,, getting to know him. he's kept chained/locked away in a chamber every night to keep ppl safe, but every night reader goes into the chambers, sits at a tea table just out of his reach, and just. talks with him

they dont entertain his trying to mess w them, taunting, cruelty, etc, but they talk when there's the chance for standard conversation. at first it's hell bc Moon is a little shit and he never cooperates. he never answers questions, he spends the entire night threatening to tear them apart and savor their insides, etc. they bring him a cup of tea every night, and every time he smashes the cup and throws the pieces at them

ok well point is eventually Moon starts to mellow out around them, will actually sit and have conversation with them, one day is like 'you think i dont know what youre doing?? youre just trying to bore me into falling for ur trap so u can kill me. i like ur style but its not gonna work >:3'

and reader is like 'i literally do not have enough magic to kill a toad let alone a whole entire possessed person' and moon is like ',, huh. so what IS ur goal here??' and reader is like 'i want to lift ur curse for both u and Sun's sakes. i gave u my word, and i will follow through, at the very least to clear my own conscience of a past sin'

and so eventually Moon, out of curiosity, and later bc he likes spending time with reader, starts letting them cast the healing magic on him, breaking the curse little by little every night

and at the same time all this is happening, reader is spending mornings and evenings with Sun and keeping him up to date on how the process is going and, eventually, becoming the person he turns to when he's stressed or tired or rlly just wants company

and idk smthn smthn eventually both of them rlly want Reader and they dont know how to act so they just b making fools of themselves but reader is a dumbass so theyre just confused

(Moon absolutely tells Reader abt every 'oh man i rlly wanna kiss kiss snuggle smooch the mage rn' thought Sun has during the day but Reader is so used to Moon being a little shit n making shit up to mess with them that they r just like ._. )

the plot twist part,,

(the secret dark past that reader is hiding is that they used to be a local mage for a nearby town who was known and respected for giving 'blessings' to ppl for small fees but one day for Reasons, they cast a curse upon someone and one of the biggest no-no's a mage can do is Curse someone so the town practically rioted, tore them down from their pedestal, called upon another mage to strip reader of their magic, and then cast them out)

(rn im considering the idea that the person reader Cursed is Vanny, who, because of her own curse, eventually went on to be the one who cursed Sun and Moon)

The fact that people arent allowed to have any criticisms with sparklecare lest they be blocked by KC and the main community, just shows how toxic it is.

Like KC is selling merch, she has a patreon.

She cant be serious when she is saying its a "personal comic"

If its all personal and you dont want a huge fandom. Why do you have a patreon, sell merch, and want to publish the comic??? /nay

At this point it feels like KC is taking advantage of her followers. Like bun can grab that bag, but dont say its entirely personal when its clearly not. When people work with you to make the comic, when you have people to design characters for you, when you want it to be published.

When you involve other people in your work, it is no longer just about you.

And if you can't handle critique, you can not handle your comic being published.

hadron, i have always felt this, and this is incredibly well said. kittycorn brushes off anything negative about her comic by saying it's personal, and made to comfort her and for her to vent, and that's all. but... kit has a team. kit has the zcp, who, like you said, have made characters for and work on the comic alongside kit.

i am not denying that there are personal elements in the story - there very clearly are, and if it wasn't obvious enough, there's a good handful of self insert characters kit has too. but kit cannot use the "i have trauma, it's my trauma comic" excuse to brush off everything people have to say about it when it isn't just her comic anymore. there are legitimate issues with the writing and some of the messages (especially in v4), and any talk about it is being swept under the "you're just hating on a disabled queer creator!!!" umbrella when it shouldn't be.

on january 1st, 2024, the website used to say this about the comic: "Sparklecare is a webcomic that is meant to be social commentary on various things, including the healthcare industry, ableism and attitudes about mental health, and trauma and the experience of being a victim of trauma. Though it has bright colors and relatively silly characters (being cartoon animals and with punny names) the message of the story is actually rather dark in nature."

but as of february 9th, 2024, it was changed to this: "Sparklecare is a webcomic about trauma and the cycle of trauma. It's based on a real-life experience I had in a real-life hospital, and I created the story as a venting way to heal from the trauma I experienced. It also doubles as criticism of the American healthcare system and the way its hurt me and others like me. This comic is created with the intent to heal from my trauma and hopefully help others feel less alone in their experiences and maybe give them a space to heal as well."

again, i am not denying that the comic is personal to kittycorn. but people are allowed to be upset that the thing they like changed. people are allowed to think something could be done better than it is.
