The more I think about it, the more I feel like I started this Grimpulse craze. The earliest draft or version of my Grimpulse fanfic is from Wattpad in like 2019 or something (it was the hippies vs area 77 arc), with the number one Grian ship at the time being like Grumbo. And later I added a bonus ending and rewrote said ending. Then I rewrote the whole thing in Ao3 before transferring it to Wattpad again
It was a crazy ride, mcytshipsandmore blog... it was a crazyyy ride
Interesting interesting 🤔🤔🤔🤔 does this haunt you, do you dream about this? I know the grimpulse community loves you

Okay now that I've finished critical role campaign two, I can finally share my contribution to society (artists and cosplayers and fanfic writers) as number one costume enjoyer and reader of critical role transcripts, every single physical description of Astrid or what she is wearing that I could find, in chronological order:
she is "handsome" (episode 42)
she is about 5'3, and she has dark brown hair and brown eyes. She has residuum scars on her arms, like Caleb, and as a teenager her hair was short (episode 64)
In episode 70 they again imply she has brown hair (the volstrucker they interrogate has dark hair, "but not brown... this is not Astrid")
here's the description of young Astrid from episode 77
Astrid is roughly Jester's height, but she has a short brown-- this is-- she looks like she's 17 is when I saw her last. She's got short brown hair, maybe four or five inches long. She is slight. She has attractive, but like severe features.
he later clarifies that the last time they saw each other, she was 18, and he was 17, and that he is now 33, meaning it has been about 16 years and she's now about 34
here's the full episode 89 description:
Human woman in her mid 30s, dirty blonde hair, extremely short in the back, but long and side-combed in the front, framing the right side of her face to just past the chin. She looks over towards you, a familiar face of older with a hard look in her eyes, but a smile, with a heavy scar that is new, that rides from the top of the brow down to the bottom of the chin. She's dressed simply.
her scar is over her left eye from brow to chin (matthew mercer gestures as he says it)
she has a burn scar on the left side of her neck (as above, he gestures), and implies it's from Bren burning her on the night they killed their parents, meaning shes had it her whole adult life
her hair is over the right side of her face, and is blonde rather than brown (has been dyed?)
she's wearing a blouse (with the sleeves rolled up once she sits down)
she has "maze-like" tattoos on her forearms that "appear to be black" (which is for some reason the real way that matthew mercer describes them)
Here's the 110 description:
On the right side, you can see a woman with dirty blonde hair, short in the back, combed over to one side of the face, smiling in a very, very officious looking suit, it seems, that comes into a long dress at the bottom.
In this scene her hair is combed over the left side of her face, which probably just means matthew mercer forgot, but take it as you will. Maybe she's switching it up who knows.
More detailed description of the tattoos on Eadwulf:
you can see the clustered maze-like tattoos that are across his forearms. And you can see similar scars as to the ones that Caleb had with raised areas of the skin, where things are embedded beneath and have healed over [...] and he tenses his arms and as he does, you see energy spark through and arc up the arm.
In episode 114, Liam O'Brien dresses up as Astrid, and has the hair and both scars all on the right side. This is bad for my sanity, but I'm inclined to think in-game trumps out-of-game in terms of the canon hierarchy
here's what she's wearing in 126:
You see stepping in a female figure, wearing a casual, dark gray, looks like a short robe with a mantle over top and a hood.
she's wearing an amulet of proof against detection and location
and the next day in 127:
Similar overcoat and hood, but outfit beneath is a little different, new day.
Here's her and Eadwulf in disguise in 128:
Two gentlemen in cloaks. With heavy scarves around the shoulders with a hood that seems to be of a similar material to the scarf. Wearing casual, baggy, sleeveless, tunic-type attire that's belted in the center with some baggier pants, and some knee-high boots with some tie straps around the top of it. They're both similar attire, but the designs and patterns, and wearing is not uniform, if you will.
In episode 141, her tattoos glow blue when she activates them. She carries a sword
When she comes back, she is "comparatively smaller" than Eadwulf, but "imposing in [her] own right". She's wearing black leather gloves and a hood. Later they give her a sunhat for gardening
Notes:
In Critical Recap Animated, the scar and hair placement is so inconsistent (read: literally changes second to second) that I'm inclined to think it doesn't count as canon. She wears a short robe, trousers, and a v-neck. I am like. 90% sure this is based on Liam O'Brien's cosplay
In her mini from iron tusk painting, she has her facial scar on left and hair on right, can't really see the burn scar. Her tattoos go all the way up her arms, which checks with the volstrucker illustration in EGTW. I'll let you stare at the outfit and try to figure out what the pieces are, but I respect the industrial goth girl Astrid grind I guess
Bonus:
#i had this all mentally catalogued in a very normal and neurotypical way for a long time but i thought i should share with the world#it really was not that much work to compile. anyways this is partially for myself#lena watches cr#critical role#cr2#astrid becke

Dragon Ball Super Manga Ch. 77-80
When I first read this, I was pissed because I’m sick of Vegeta just knowing everything that happened to every Saiyan before they were wiped out. I mean, he was a kid back then, how would he know Goku’s dad?
Then I finally remembered Vegeta grew up with Goku’s brother, and it suddenly made sense.
Okay, so let’s back up a bit and go over why Granolah wants revenge in the first place. About forty-odd years ago the Cerealians were invaded by Frieza’s forces, including a lot of Saiyans. I think they showed some other aliens in Frieza uniforms, but it’s mainly Saiyans using Oozaru forms. The Cerealians managed to neutralize the giant ape business, but the Saiyans were still strong enough to kill them all. There was also a small community of Namekians living on the planet Cereal, and they all died as well. There were only two survivors: The Namekian Monaito, who inherited the Cerealian Dragon Balls from the village elder, and Granolah, who found refuge in a building with his mother.
However, Granolah and his mom were discovered by a Saiyan named Bardock. He probably would have killed them on sight, except they happened to remind him of...
His wife and newborn son, whom he saw recently before this mission. Turns out Bardock was the one who came up with the name “Kakarot.”
So instead of killing the two Cerealians, Bardock tells the rest of his squad that he’s going to stay behind to take out any survivors. Then he scans the area and locates Monaito. He then takes Granolah and his mom to Monaito and asks him to take them in. Then he leaves, or he tries to, anyway.
Afterwards, Granolah grew up craving revenge on the Saiyans and Frieza, and he must have had no memory of Bardock’s act of mercy. Monaito’s known all along, and he kept it a secret this whole time, but he’s telling Granolah now because he wants him to stop his attack on Goku and Vegeta. And as he explains all this, he notices that Goku bears a striking resemblance to Bardock, and that’s when Vegeta explains that Bardock was Goku’s father.
But wait, if Bardock saved Granolah’s mother, then who killed her? Ah, well you see...
Shortly after Bardock saved those guys, the Heeters showed up. They worked as planet brokers under Frieza, so once Planet Cereal was vacant, they started making plans to sell it to the Sugarians. Naturally, they planned to overcharge the Sugurians and give Frieza a modest cut.
But then they happened across Bardock, Monaito, Granolah and his mom, and Bardock had to pretend that he was preparing to take Monaito prisoner to cover his tracks. Elec then shot Granolah’s mom just to simplify things. This infuriated Bardock, who then attacked the Heeters, which led to a fight with Gas. Bardock won that day, although Monaito didn’t get to see that part, for some reason.
So why didn’t Monaito tell Granolah about the Heeters? Why didn’t he say anything when Granolah started working for them?
Because Monaito knew he’d go off on some half-baked revenge scheme and get himself killed. This is probably why Monaito allowed Granolah to believe it was the Saiyans who did it, because once Frieza destroyed their home planet, there was no one for Granolah to go after, and he seemed to understand that Frieza was too strong. But that backfired on Monaito, because once Granolah found out about Frieza returning and some Saiyans still being alive, he... went off on some half-baked revenge scheme.
Anyway, Elec knew Granolah had talent, and since he never knew about the whole murdered-his-mom thing, Elec thought he could recruit him for his organization. After that, Monaito couldn’t tell him the truth, because Elec would kill them both.
Anyway, while all this exposition is happening, the Heeters find the Cerealian Dragon Balls and make their wish...
... which is basically the same wish Granolah made at the beginning of this arc, only they asked for Gas to become the strongest warrior in the universe. And since the wish was granted, that means Gas must be even stronger than Granolah is.
So they fight, and Granolah gets his ass kicked. Gas’ whole deal is that he uses energy constructs, sort of like Green Lantern but without the ring. This isn’t a new power he got, it’s something he’s always been able to do, and through much of this battle, he tries to win with the power he had before Elec made the wish.
Goku comes up with a plan to handle Gas. He wants Vegeta to eat his senzu bean and fight with Ultra Ego again, but Vegeta left the bean in his armor, which he took off while fighting Granolah. So first he has to go find it, and Goku will try to hold Gas off in the meantime.
But Vegeta gives the senzu bean to Granolah instead, insisting that he’s the one who wants revenge on these guys, so it should be him who settles things.
On his way to fight Gas, Granolah makes up with Oatmeel and puts him back on, assuring the computer than they’re a team. Awww.
So this is just Gas vs. Granolah, with Goku and Vegeta reduced to spectators. It’s an interesting choice to say the least. Gas should have the advantage on power, but Granolah stays competitive for a few reasons.
1) Gas doesn’t want to use his full strength, because he thinks he should be able to win with the power he had before the wish. That doesn’t work, so he eventually relents and uses his full power, but he wastes a lot of valuable time and energy this way.
2) Gas hasn’t fought much at all in this arc, mainly because Elec always wanted to keep him in reserve as a last resort. We know he fought Bardock decades ago (and lost), so he’s clearly gotten a lot stronger, even without that wish to beef him up, but he lacks experience with this power. Granolah had the same problem when he fought Goku and Vegeta, but now he’s got the advantage, because he... just got done fighting Goku and Vegeta. If he can beat those two, he can hold his own against Gas.
3) Granolah has his Cerelian perception, which makes his attacks far more precise than anything Gas can do.
It’s also possible that Gas’s heart just isn’t in this. He seems distant from the priorities of the other Heeters. When he has difficulty fighting, Elec removes the headband of teeth from his head. The other Heeter wear these like necklaces, and apparently they’re not decoaritive. Somehow they restrain their powers, and if you remove them, they become stronger, but also go berserk. Wonder Woman’s bracelets used to work this way. If she lost them, she’d go apeshit and kick everyone’s ass.
According to Monaito, the same thing happened when Bardock fought Gas forty years ago. Gas took off his headband thing and transformed into a gonzo monster. Bardock won somehow, but Gas is far more powerful now, and this time he attacks everybody. But Elec isn’t worried, because if Gas is truly the strongest in the universe now, then he ought to be able to regain control over himself.
And that’s exactly what he does. Not sure how he got his clothes back after he hulked out of them, but maybe the dragon gave him the Clothes Beam technique along with all the other upgrades.
And this brings me to the end of volume 18 of Dragon Ball Super. Volume 19 won’t be published in English until September, and I don’t want to wait that long, so I guess I’ll have to find the next several chapters elsewhere. So hopefully I can pick this up tomorrow...
Oh, right, Bardock.
So, Bardock showing up in this arc caused a lot of agitation in the fandom. I think this was mostly because of lingering frustration with Dragon Ball Minus retconning all the Bardock lore from the 1990 TV special. That, and there’s also a lot of Bardock Fatigue in the fandom, because the franchise has been shoehorning Bardock into every video game and merchandise possible. For many, working him into the DBS manga was just another crass marketing ploy.
Also, chapter 77 marks the moment when Goku finally learns about his father, which is a big deal for the character, but a milestone like that is always going to be controversial, because there will be fans who think the series was better off when Goku didn’t know. It’s like when Clark Kent told Lois he was really Superman. You can’t unring that bell.
I... don’t particularly care about any of that. For my part, Bardock’s a cool character, and I don’t mind seeing him or his cute wife. Anything Toei or Shueisha does with Goku’s parents is a fair play in my book. It’s no different from having Tien or Android 17 show up. But there seems to be this special status that’s been assigned to Bardock, where he’s either too cool or too overexposed, and that makes him off-limits. Well, I don’t buy into made-up rules like that.
I get the sense that there’s this edgelord contingent of the fandom that wouldn’t accept any version of Bardock short of him murdering Granolah’s mom and eating Monaito’s face or something. I don’t understand these fans, because the “Father of Goku” special is just Bardock getting the shit kicked out of him from start to finish. Tooru kicks him in the head, then he goes to Planet Meat and Dodoria beats him up, then he flies to Planet Vegeta and dies to Frieza. How is this guy a badass? Because he dominated Dodoria’s goon squad? Well Guldo could one-shot all of them, so why isn’t everyone fawning over Guldo then?
People got mad because Bardock said “tummy”, which isn’t a very badass word to use. You never hear Guldo say “tummy”, and he’s hard as nails. My thing is, if you imagine Sonny Strait delivering the line in that cool voice he uses, it sounds a lot more natural. Yeah, if he said it in the Krillin voice, it’d be goofy, which is why he doesn’t use the same voice for both characters.
I’d chalk it up to a translation issue, really. I mean, it’s probably accurate, but the people at Viz should have used different wording. Sometimes you have to punch up the dialogue, make it sound more like something Guldo would say.
The point I’m trying to make is that Bardock isn’t some sacred cow, and he’s also not a third rail that the franchise is forbidden from using. Dragon Ball Super brought back the Mafuba and the Grand Supreme Kai and the guy Zarbon kicked on Namek. Of course they were going to do something with Bardock. I’m more surprised that they didn’t just have him time travel to present-day Earth and live in Goku’s house for a while.

Kamiya Dojo Monogatari Tale 78 (JUMP SQ 24/07)
About Kamiya Dojo Monogatari:
Tales of Kamiya dojo is written by Kaoru Kurosaki and published along with the “Rurouni Kenshin Hokkaido” arc in JUMPSQ. The tale involves the Rurouni Kenshin character in daily life that takes time between Kenshin and Kaoru marriage until the epilogue chapter in the original manga before the Hokkaido Arc. Until this month (June 2024) there are a total 78 chapters in Tales of Kamiya dojo. This is an unofficial translation.
Previous Story: https://www.tumblr.com/kenkaodoll/750191530648748032/kamiya-dojo-monogatari-tale-77-jump-sq-2406
Kenshin leapt from the railing and first he swung down one bouncer on the bridge with the wet tablecloth on his hand.
“Uwaa!”
Clang. The tablecloth hit the bouncer in the face. Kenshin landed on the bridge, kicking another bouncer who held a sword.
The man whose face was pasted with a cloth was covering his face with his hands and groaned, "My eyes...! The other man who had been kicked was screaming "Aaaah" as his kicked sword fell under the bridge.
In no time at all, the two men on the bridge were out of combat.
“I owe you!” Mikio said to Kenshin and ran off across the bridge to somewhere else. It’s typical of him, a person who did not hesitate to run away.
“...”
Kenshin looked straight at Suwa. He was in the middle of washing dishes, so he had no reverse sword. How far could the opponent go against him with his bare hands and Kenji on his back?
“Tch. He is just a baby sister, what are you doing? Hey guys!"
Suwa backed up and looked at the three men who were waiting for him.
The men step forward to protect Suwa and hold their swords ready.
Kenshin was standing on a narrow bridge over a waterway which was used for daily life. With the two men who were unable to fight and Kenshin himself, it was already cramped.
The three new men couldn’t attack Kenshin at once.
“Ah.. this…” Kenshin spoke to Kenji on his back.
“Yahiko once asked me about a way to fight multiple enemies by yourself.”
“Da—?”
“This situation is similar to the strategy we talked about then.”
That strategy to make the opponent come to himself one-on-one had come by chance on this narrow bridge.
Without a sword and with Kenji on his back, Kenshin had no choice but to play it safe and deal with the situation one-on-one.
“What’s wrong, hey babysitter? You talk to a baby. If you want to beg for your life, come to me."
Suwa wondered if it was a coincidence that Kenshin, who didn't have a sword, had knocked them both off the bridge at once. He completely underestimated Kenshin, who was carrying a child on his back.
“It’s an important old story between father and son, that it is.”
Kenshin took a fighting stance.
“Shut up, you’re a mess!”
One of the men flashed a white blade at Kenshin, with all his might.
・
Meanwhile, a little while before that.
“I'm really sorry to bother you on such a big day… Oh, why on the first day of the cafe's opening,” Shino was talking to Megumi in a tone that sounded like she was asking for advice.
“What's wrong?”
“My stomach's just getting contractions…” Shino smiled helplessly and rubbed her stomach.
“Since when?”
“A little while ago. I was planning on asking a midwife near the tenement house to help me, but... ouch…”
“Then let's go back to the tenement house and get ready for the birth.”
“What if the baby is born now?”
Megumi encouraged the anxious Shino, “It'll be fine. The baby won't be born so soon. Anyway, where's the manager? By the way, I can't find him anywhere. Where is he?”
The only person who can take Shino home is her husband, Mikio. Megumi looked around and asked where Mikio was.
“Um, you see... he was called by a customer earlier and left. He hasn't come back since…” Tsubame said with a troubled look on her face.
“He's not here when he’s needed!” Megumi was irritated but still gave instructions,“So, where's Ken-san?”
“I just checked the washing area outside, but he wasn't there,” Yahiko reported immediately.
“We need a man! Oh dear! It can't be helped. I can't let Shino-san walk back to the tenement house, so I need to carry her on a two-wheeled-cart.”
“If Shino-san gives birth, it's a major event for the Nagaoka family... so... um, I'll do my best,” Tsubame offered.
“With your weak arms, it would be quicker for Shino-san to walk,” Megumi flatly refused.
“Ah... okay,” Tsubame retreated sheepishly.
“There's not enough strength here…” Megumi glanced at Kaoru.
"I'll do it! Got it. I'll borrow a handcart from a neighbor."
Kaoru rushed out of the store.
“I'll help too.”
“Me too!” Yahiko and Misao shouted.
“You guys stay here,” Megumi gave instructions to them .
“Since we won't have any adults here, don't let any new customers in from now on.”
“I got it!” Misao replied cheerfully.
“Then, once the customers who are currently in the store leave, we'll close up the store, a little earlier than planned.”
“We can run the store on our own.”
Yahiko pouted. He didn't want to close down the store early, which it's been going well.
“We deal with money and food, so when something goes wrong, we can't just say, 'The kids took care of it.'”
“We're not children.”
“If this was a shop that had been established for years, we'd leave it to you. Even though we're adults, we still don't know what to do…”
“Well, I guess there's nothing we can do,” Yahiko reluctantly agreed to Megumi's words.
“But... We'd have to turn away customers who want to come in... It’s regrettable…” Tsubame responded.
Misao made a suggestion, “If we close the shop, we'll have some leftover baked goods prepared for today, so why not give them out as an apology?”
“That's a good idea! If the cakes are delicious, maybe they'll come back again,” Tsubame smiled.
“It'll also be good advertising,” Yahiko nodded.
“Let's do that. The manager is not here to help us make decisions, but we can't ask permission from someone who's slacking off, so it can't be helped,”Megumi also agreed with the idea of handing out baked goods.
And so, the group split up into a storekeeping team and a childbirth team.
・
“I've borrowed the two-wheeled cart!” Kaoru, who had rushed out earlier, jumped in.
“Leave the rest to us.”
Kaoru and Megumi put Shino on the platform of the two-wheeled cart.
“I'm so sorry... I wish my husband had been here.” Shino seemed to be in pain, so she obediently let herself be put on the two-wheeled cart.
“If you say that, this is a crucial time and none of our staff are here... Anyway, let's do our best!” Kaoru put in a lot of strength and pushed the cart. This thing was hard to start moving at beginning, she needed to put all her strength.
“Leave the cafe to us!”
“Please be careful!”
“Take care!”
Yahiko, Misao, and Tsubame sent them off until the cart was out of sight, then changed the "Open" sign hanging at the cafe’s entrance to "Getting Ready."
Not long after that,
“Oh, are you closed already?” A middle-aged male customer came in and asked regretfully.
“Yes. I'm sorry, sir. Please take this as an apology,” Tsubame handed him a baked cake.
“It's the first day of business, why are you closing so early?”
“Ojisan, today is an auspicious day for the opening of the café, but we have something even better to celebrate!” Misao blabbered on about the manager's wife giving birth.
“Oh, that's great! Then I think I'll share the sweets with my eldest son's wife, maybe she’ll get some luck.”
"That would be great."
Thanks to Misao's customer service skills, what she learned from Aoiya, even the customers who couldn't get in the store received sweets and left with smiles on their faces.
And then…
Something noisy started going on inside the store.
“Where is it? Where…?”
Mikio came in through the back door and was making a big fuss inside the store.
“Damn, what the hell is that guy doing here just now!”
Yahiko returned to the store, leaving Misao and Tsubame to give out the sweets.
“Hey you! Where's the sakabato?” Mikio’s face was pale and he was searching for the sakabato.
“What? There's no way someone like you would touch Kenshin's precious sword. You should keep talking in your sleep!”
“Shut up, I really need it! Ah, there it is!” Mikio found the sword on his own, grabbed it, and left through the entrance of the store.
“Oi, wait! Hey!” Yahiko tried to stop Mikio, but unfortunately...
“Excuse me, can I have the bill please?”
A customer who was still in the store called him. Yahiko couldn't ignore him, so he served the customer.
“Mikio-sama?” Tsubame, who was handing out sweets at the entrance, noticed Mikio but she didn't quite understand what happened to him.
“Hey you! There’s something important!” Misao tried to tell him about Shino, but Mikio ran past as fast as he could, as if that wasn't the time for him.
“Hey! Listen to what I’m saying!” Misao called out, but Mikio only showed his back as he ran away and her voice didn't reach him.
・
“This is getting messy”
One of the men flashed his white blade at Kenshin with all his might.
The blade almost hit Kenji if Kenshin didn’t dodge it in time, so he jumped back and landed behind the bridge.
All he had left as a weapon was the tablecloth in his hand. He put some distance between himself and his enemy, buying himself some time to think about what to do. At that moment...
"Here you go! Now there's no debt!” Mikio's voice rang out as the Sakabato came flying.
Kenshin caught it with his hand.
“Kyaa kyaa!” Kenji cried out happily.
“Hey! But what's the point of handing a sword to some babysitter?” Suwa still underestimated Kenshin.
But...
Kenshin quickly pulls out his sword.
“!”
Blood drained from Suwa's face.
“That's a reverse-blade sword... A cross scar on his cheek... That babysitter, I can’t believe this…”

TLnote(1): translating Japanese is so hard because the sentence structure is very different compared with English. Also the style of writing is different, plus there’s a lot of figurative, poetic language and things that don't make sense if it’s directly translated into english. So forgive me if this is very weird to read, and please tell me if you want to give corrections.
TLnote(2) I will provide the original Japanese text for correction if any of you who read have better knowledge of the Japanese language. Just dm and I’ll send the file.
TLnote(3) Dtninja had translated some earlier chapters on his website. You can go and check on there

My headcanon in the post-DR3 world
I'm preparing a short manga for Nagito's birthday, but I thought it might not make sense without my headcanon explanation, so I put it together here.
*I set this post to reblog prohibit because this is basically an explanation of my manga.
*This post is already a bit long, but I actually have a lot more headcanons, so maybe I'll add some of them from time to time.
⚠️Contains Spoilers!
■ The situation of Hinata and Class 77-B after the DR3 Hope Arc:
Hinata and Class 77-B (from now on, I will be writing Hinata's team) are set up as a separate organization from the Future Foundation, traveling around the world by ship to eliminate the remnants of despair and restore the world. (This means everyone did not return to Jabberwock Island, but continued their journey directly on the ship they used to leave Jabberwock Island).
The reason they did not return to Jabberwock Island is because it is land owned by the Future Foundation. Since the killing spree at the Future Foundation was allegedly masterminded by Hinata's team, they cannot return there.
However, the world is not an environment in which they can live without the support of the Future Foundation, so they are actually connected to members like Naegi and others who know the truth.
Naegi and his team have the critical project of rebuilding Hope's Peak Academy, so they basically stay in Japan most of the time and cannot immediately address problems that occur outside of Japan. Therefore, Hinata's team mainly deal with problems outside of Japan. (Basically, they communicate with each other through telecommunications using a specially prepared line.)
Basically, Hajime Hinata's presence is kept secret (not strictly, but the people around him realize that it would be better if he did not appear in public as much as possible), so once Hinata's team have temporarily dealt with the problem, they will leave the area and the Future Foundation will take care of the follow-up. (The Future Foundation employees who do not know the truth simply perceive that another unit of their organization took care of the problem before them. They do not know that it was Hinata's team who took care of it.)
✼••┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈••✼
■ Additional information about post-3 Hajime Hinata:
He made two promises to everyone on his team.
Not using Izuru Kamukura's talents against teammates. Because he could control the will of his teammates if he wanted to, so he promises not to use Kamukura's talents against his teammates except in emergency situations, whether good or bad.
Never be alone. (Always be with someone.) He can use Kamukura's talents, but between after SDR2 and the 3rd Hope Arc, he used his talents so much that he once became "void" as a result of overusing his talents. The state called “void" is also one of my head canons. This occurs as a reaction to overworking his brain. Once this happens, all of his senses will be shut down for a while, and he won't be able to move at all. Recovery time varies from case to case, but usually ranges from 3 to 7 days. The heart and other minimal organs will still work, but he will not be able to eat or do anything else, so he will die if he has no way to eat and excrete. To prevent him from getting into this very dangerous situation, he cannot use his talents excessively, and people around him do not allow it, and this rule was put in place to deal with him in case he becomes void. To enforce this rule, Komaeda accompanies Hinata as a watcher; when Hinata is in his room, the Observer AI (Chiaki Nanami) watches Hinata.
✼••┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈••✼
■ Post-3 Nagito Komaeda:
He is supposed to be Hajime's watcher, so his role is basically to be at Hajime's side. The reason he was put in the role of watching over Hinata was because Hinata's teammates thought he would have a high chance of survival even in a critical situation thanks to his talent. Another reason is the problem of not being able to deal with anyone but Hinata.
The only thing he has to do is to make sure that Hinata is not left alone, so he may not be with Hinata if someone else accompanies him.
✼••┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈••✼
■ Observer AI (Chiaki Nanami) :
After Hajime awoke from the NWP, he used one of Kamukura's talents, the Ultimate Programmer talent, to restore the NWP's Observer AI, because as a result of using Kamukura's talents to predict the future, he found that he alone would not be able to do enough to take care of his returning friends. The restored Observer AI provided mental care for those who returned. After everyone's mental health was restored to some degree, she remained aboard the ship as one of the companions. (One of her roles is to monitor Hinata during bedtime.)
✼••┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈••✼
■ Izuru Kamukura:
In my headcanon, his ego exists as a separate entity from Hajime Hinata even in post-3, but it basically does not appear on the surface. He may appear on the surface when needed, but almost never, as it would cause Hinata's brain to become overloaded.
Hinata can talk to him. Technically speaking, it can only predict what Kamukura is likely to say using Kamukura's talents. However, the accuracy of the predictions is so high that the results are equivalent to having a conversation with Kamukura. Due to this fact, Hinata will get tired if he talks to Kamukura a lot.

4/14: cape cod?!
we wound our way to the very tippy-top of cape cod , MA in search of seabirds-- and seabirds we found! we spent more than four hours and walked more than four miles total through sand and seawater to find a bunch of cool species, many of which were lifers for me!
Bird 67: a Belted Kingfisher was perched in a marshy area not quite at the seashore.
Bird 68: Surf Scoters were floating out on the water, mixed in with Black and White-winged Scoters!
Bird 69: We spotted a few Piping Plovers running up and down the shoreline-- they were so cute!
Bird 70: Razorbill; these fellas were far off shore and hard to find, but we saw them eventually.
Bird 71: Laughing Gulls were- well, laughing! I think their black heads are very striking.
Bird 72: Ring-billed Gull
Bird 73: Great Black-backed Gull
Bird 74: Glaucous Gull; we saw at least one for certain. I'm awful at identifying my gulls, but I learned that GLGUs are large, chunky, and have all-white wingtips.
Bird 75: Iceland Gull; still not sure how to ID these guys, to be honest...
Bird 76: Pacific Loon; we spent most of our time searching for this bird specifically. The water was full of COLO and RTLO, but seeing as MA is on the Atlantic, PALO are understandably rare. We sorted through winter plumage birds for hours, knowing PALO were present from other birders we came across. We finally ID'd a winter plumage bird based on its narrow beak (relative to a conveniently placed nearby Common) and chinstrap... it was such an exciting moment when we finally got it!
Bird 77: Northern Gannet; there were dozens, if not hundreds, of these guys close to shore. They were gorgeous, bright white with stark black wingtips. I could have watched them gracefully arc in the air before plunging into the water for hours!
Bird 78: Bufflehead; sitting on a lake near the seashore!

~Zeach~
Classification: Avian
Place of Origin: Dichi, Aellete System
The Zeach have slender frames and stand anywhere between 5'7 (68 inches) to 6'5 (77 inches), though head feathers may add a few more inches. They have two arms with three fingers on each hand and two toes. The palms of their hands are softly padded while their nails are slightly curved and talon-like. Two sets of three, thin ears resembling butterfly wings rest along the side of their face. These ears are extremely sensitive and help regulate the species temperature. Mandible flaps exist around their mouth and dull, flat teeth lend credence to an all vegetation diet. The most notable feature on a Zeach are their head feathers. Feathers can be found on both the species head and the elbow area. They have wide eyes with their sclera being either white or gold and the actual iris being black with no visible pupil.
Unlike most species, the Zeach have no kind of natural armor, a fact that may be due to the lack of predators on their home planet. They have a faster metabolism than many and their bodies are made for quickness and agility, not strength or endurance. Their skin tones can range from golds and browns to black, white and grey, and though not common, red. Along with obvious genitals, one can tell the difference between the sexes due to feather coloring. Male feathers are often shorter with muted colors of brown, black, white, and grey. While the female sex possess longer feathers that are thicker and bolder in color.
Zeaches are egg-layers that work on a ZZ-ZW sex-determination system, meaning that it is the egg, not the sperm, that establishes the sex of the egg. Once a year, a female Zeach will lay a clutch of eggs between three to five eggs. They incubate for two months and upon hatching will imprint on those that surround them. Most of the time they are surrounded by the arc, a group of Zeaches, which is why many state that they have many fathers and mothers. A single arc is known as one family despite who gives birth. The entire arc helps in the care and raising of the chicks and once grown, an individual can choose whether to stay or go.
The average lifespan of the Zeach is 65 years.

putting down my scattered thoughts for where i would like season 2 of the webtoon to end 🤔
season 1 ended with the cotton candy scene, webnovel 51 and webtoon 42. s2 is currently at the slime dungeon, which is webnovel 61 but webtoon 52. the webtoon condensed hearthfenrir punishing the golden ivory tower (ch 46-49) into like 2 panels and condensed/skipped a few other minor scenes. i never actually read all the early chapters, so idk if the 10 chapter/episode gap is because even more entire chapters got skipped. if it is, then it means that the adaptation speed is roughly 1:1 except for when entire portions get cut.
if we take s2 to also be ~40 episodes, we might hit episode 80+? assuming a 1:1 adapation speed, it would mean webnovel 100+. and if some portions get chopped (maybe some sections of floor 299 and some others) maybe we can even hit webnovel ch 110?? idk if that area will be a good spot to stop though.
the week of regressions is at webnovel 77, while greenwalle starts at ch 82. narratively speaking, the start of greenwalle would be a nice place to start s3, except that i think the webtoon readers might get a little upset about still being stuck in the tutorial period orz. unless floor 300 is just that well done?? idk. actually i think floor 300 would work well as the central arc for this season, just like the toy mansion was. i just want to see post-regression tesilid though 😔
harpy queen is 87-91 and pandora's is ch 91-98. personally i think it would be nice if they could include greenwalle and a little bit after. just to smack all of us silly with the huge gap between tutorial tesilid and post-regression tesilid. i think casual webtoon readers would have forgotten how optimistic and well-meaning baby tesilid was by the time season 3 rolls over, so greenwalle wouldn't hit as hard.
stopping at the end of pandora's would also mean adapting 40 chapters, so i guess maybe they don't need to cut too many scenes? i also don't think it would be a good idea to include much past pandora's. the vatican arc is a liiiiitle bit long. there's the whole setup period, then the snow queen dungeon, then everything keeps snowballing into the magic republic arc and we only get space to breathe again at ch 128 when ailette blacks out. which is also a cliffhanger itself.
greenwalle being in s2 on its own would be a bit of a let-down i think because iirc nothing really happens there, we just meet reed and tesilid wakes up and barely talks. harpy queen arc very clearly shows how much more cold-hearted tesilid has become, which is great for making us all cry, but idk i think pandora's is a cooler place to stop? harpy queen ends with "how is tesilid going to sacrifice himself to regain powers without dying", which is a nice cliffhanger but i think it's not appropriate for a season finale - the stakes are too high. pandora's ends with them entering the vatican, which is a whole new stage of their lives so i think it's a nice spot for s3 to pick up.
#s-class heroine spoilers#might not reply to any replies for this post bc#i actually dont want to get reminded too much of what is gg to happen in s2#j wanted to dump my thoughts somewhere#bc i wanted to work out the math and see if we're gg to get post-regression tesilid anytime soon lol#signs point to yes ☝️#altho tbh i think i could just get the answers for this by looking at the korean webtoon#but ✨ idk how ✨#would have saved me time tho LOL

I got ur ask and I will uno reverse with rendoc for 4 and/or 6 >:D
4. Who initiates affection? Why does the other not initiate affection as much?
I'd like to think that Ren initiates affection more, at least more outwardly. In the big things, like kissing, holding hands, and general PDA. Or the grand gestures, like bringing over a shulker box of something Doc needs.
But I feel like he'd get a bit shy when it's just them... At least in the beginning of their relationship. It kind of started in S5*, but as they grew closer in S6, especially during the Civil War, they started to trust one another. (I think it'd be funny if they had some sort of secret relationship thing going on in the Hippies vs. Area 77 arc but that's besides the point-) And eventually, they've learnt to dwell in the lulls in conversation.
All that to say, Ren wants the whole world to know that he is Doc's boyfriend, and Doc is his boyfriend.
Doc on the other hand, thrives in the quietness of almost night, and before-bed cuddles... and random mid-day comments. I think Doc's a bit less prone to initiating affection, not from lack of trying. Ren's just outwardly very affectionate in comparison.
*I will forever be sad about the "Doc and Ren 'cheating' on Bdubs when they fought the ender dragon" vod being lost to time. If it even was a vod.

Scrunkore Media "Thread" 2023: Part 7 (FINALE)
the scrunko core is dragged into 2024
77) Barbie (Movie, 2023)
What a wildly meta take on the most famous plastic doll in the world, this movie is a pink-tinted ride from start to finish with a lot of words to say about the patriarchy and consumerism, and it does it in such a strange way that I honestly have mad respect for. It's easy to see why it popped off so hard, it was fun and had very explicit political theming, as well as that banger Ken song. Very quirky movie that I enjoyed. [4.5★]
78) Sonic Dream Team (iOS, 2023)
Maybe I would have enjoyed this more had I played it on a device that ran it a bit better, but still, this was a pretty nice surprise drop from Sega's mobile game developers. You wouldn't expect an Apple Arcade exclusive Sonic title to have levels as fun as these with characters that play fairly well, but here it is, and I'm here for it. Short but sweet, a nice experience that doesn't offer much but what it does have is pretty good. I will say, some characters do sound kind of bad, though. Maybe they need better directing on the next one. Also I like Ariem, do more with her please. [3.5★]
79) Bocchi the Rock! (Anime, 2022)
Every social anxious gay girlie's favourite pink blob really is that pathetic, but honestly the show is pretty real about it once you look past the delightfully expressive nonsense going on with her animations. Genuinely like how joining a band doesn't magically improve Bocchi and she's still a nervous weirdo like a lot of us are or have been, but instead she just makes slow progress with a support network around her. And it does help the show's case that it's just a fun watch with some really good music, drawing inspiration from the likes of Asian Kung-Fu Generation (the main case are named after them lol). I was a year late to Bocchi, but now I totally get it. [4.5★]
80) Pokémon Violet: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero (Switch DLC, 2023)
Pokémon DLC seems to be their "thing" now, and I can't complain because this stuff is genuinely pretty good, though not as exceptional as the main game. Fun new and returning creatures in brand new environments from different parts of the world, being a new part of whatever the Japan stand-in is called as well as the ocean around Unova (which they really have been pandering to), along with a genuinely pretty solid character arc for the new boy Kieran and a nice supporting cast. I don't think this DLC as a whole is anything mindblowing, but it adds some substantial new content to what is one of my favourite games in the series in spite of everything it has going against it. There's an epilogue to this coming too, but that already "leaked" because they left it in the game. Oh, Game Freak. [4★]
81) I'm in Love with the Villainess (Anime, 2023)
Himejoshi of the world rejoiced, for the series they have been gassing up for ages finally made it into anime form, and it was really quite good. What is initially just a silly romantic comedy about a girl who is just extremely gay for the villainess of the game world she was reborn into ends up having some pretty genuine moments with discussions of homophobia and sad backstories that hit. What I hope to be able to call the "first season" covered a nice amount of content and ended on just the right note to get you wanting more, and overall it's just very gay and very good. Helps that the light novels' author seems like a real one too, she's interacted with fans in every language she's able to and I'll have to read her original work. [4.5★]
82) Doctor Who 2023 Specials (TV, 2023)
Doctor Who is back, and they brought back an old showrunner and even an old Doctor for a bit to pretty entertaining results, along with introducing the next Doctor in a divisive but interesting way. I will say, some odd decisions were made there, but I don't really mind too much, as the special episodes released within the last couple months of the year were really fun adventures. Concluding a story that's over a decade old, introducing genuinely good trans rep, finally going back to a classic-era villain just to kick his ass, it's great to see. I think Wild Blue Yonder was the best of these, being perfectly weird as good Doctor Who often is, but they were all nice. Christmas special showed promise for 2024's upcoming series too, May can't come soon enough. [4★]
82.1) Doctor Who: The Daleks Colour Special (TV, 2023)
A curious addition to the 60th anniversary of the series was a cut-down edit of the Daleks' original serial from the 1960s remade in colour with unnecessary inclusions of music and some odd choices of what to trim from it. I'm not sure it was very good, but it was nice of them to bring back a frankly ancient story in a new way. An interesting experiment, perhaps.
82.2) Doctor Who: Liberation of the Daleks (Comic, 2023)
Apparently they want you to read this if you want to know what happened to the previous Sonic Screwdriver, which is kind of funny because that's not actually that big a deal within this rather silly story. It's a short and weird comic plot featuring a virtual multiverse of different quirky Daleks, yet another excuse to have them in something because they weren't in the main specials. I kinda liked it, though, it was fun enough.
83/84) Scott Pilgrim (Comic, 2004-2010)/Vs The World (Movie, 2010)
Took me long enough to get into this series, and yeah it is actually pretty good. Shitty people bumbling into improvement is something that does require reading comprehension to enjoy (lol) but this is a good story where you're obviously supposed to know Scott and indeed several of the other characters have and do make a lot of mistakes. The movie does make this worse as well, kinda skimming over most of the comics' storyline, but it's well-directed so it's good enough if you want to watch it. Really has fun with it, and the series is in fact quite funny especially with how pathetic the lead character is. I do recommend reading the comics, it's a series with a fun vibe but also they say the R-slur a few times because it was the 2000s so watch out for that. Luckily other media in the series avoids doing that, because by the 2010s most people figured you shouldn't say that. [4★/3.5★] 85) Scott Pilgrim Takes Off (Anime, 2023)
I can't believe they actually made Rebuild of Scott Pilgrim and that's not really hyperbole, this new Netflix anime based on the series does a great job of both deconstructing and fleshing out the source material in some really nice ways. Characters previously treated largely as jokes in the movie especially (poor Roxie) get a lot more thought put into them and many of the cast end up happier. I don't want to spoil a lot, but this is some good stuff that comes at everything from a different angle without sacrificing too much of what made the original stuff stand out. Might be my favourite of these. [4.5★]
86) Neo Yokio (Anime, 2017)
This show is so fucking stupid, so naturally it's the last thing I watched in 2023. It's some vapid rich person hipster shit but I think it knows that, and a lot of the comedy comes from that, but I feel some of the funny stuff is unintended too. Frankly it's hard to tell what angle it's going for, and it does have one kinda transphobic Ranma 1/2 parody, so I'm not sure if I'd recommend it in good faith, but it was a good thing to just mindlessly watch and laugh at from time to time. I'll watch the Christmas special at some point. [NEO YOKIO★]
And thus, the media "thread" comes to an end. That sure was a year in my life where I consumed media, I can say that much. Maybe for 2024 I'll be better at keeping up with this thing, but no promises. Still, this was fun enough.
Last part

Mass Thread: The War Against Despair
"All right, peasants! Since we're having so much fun fighting the despairs in video game form, why not spread a bit of the joy with this? A mass thread where anyone can either join or fight the Ultimate Despairs as they take over an area. Death, destruction, and bloodshed await! Doesn't that just sound the best?"
"What's a mass thread? Well, you know how a common Tumblr rule is "don't reblog RPs you're not involved in? This... is more or less the complete opposite. Here, anyone can jump in at any time and contribute to the plot, whether as one of my lovely despair followers, or as a disgusting Future Foundation member... or even as an indecisive neutral party. It's total rp freedom in this bitch!"
"Of course, since I'm not allowed to despairify certain muses, I'll just be taking Chisa, Akio, Izuru, my sister, the Class 77 members I CAN despairify... plus some of 78 and 79. Despairlings?"
Chisa, Akio, Izuru, Mukuro, all of 77 except the pair in the Future Foundation, Celeste, Kokichi, Ryoma, Tsumugi, Korekiyo, and Mondo appeared before Junko. Together, with an endless army of Monokumas and regular people that have been turned to despair by Junko, they wreaked havoc all over town, using their talents slaughter, burn, and make life hell for all the citizens there, with seemingly no end to the destruction.
Their only hope lies in the coming Future Foundation - Munakata, Sakakura, and all the characters from DR3 Future Arc, all of 78 except the aforementioned despairs, Ibuki, Chiaki, Nekomaru, Chihiro, Kaede, Shuichi, Kirumi, Miu, K1-B0, Tenko, Himiko, Rantaro, Maki, and Kaito.
"By the way, I should mention that clones of the aforementioned characters that are run by other people are allowed - they will simply be treated like versions of them from other worlds. Despairs, show the Future Foundation what happens when you mess with despair!"
