It is a known fact that most German-language musical actors will need to perform Sweet Transvestite at least once every few years in full drag or they'll literally die of sadness at being denied a chance to engage in species-typical behaviour

been thinking about the liyue gang and how id draw their physical builds so here are some thoughts i had for xy cy and gm in particular
- xingqiu, unsurprisingly, would be quite lanky. i like to think he has broad-ish shoulders, like a thin athlete's build? hes a long boy to me haha, long face, neck, limbs, fingers etc, so naturally hes stands (comparatively) tall at 5'6" or 5'7"
i like to think hes most physically attractive one and has that handsome princely and boyish charm to him because it adds a lot to his fuckass duality LOL
- chongyun is a lot like xiao imo! short stature but with muscular arms. he seems nimble and flexible because of his normal attack animations (which bears a lot of similarities to xiao's actually! this + the fact that chongyun's normal attacks create gusts of wind further reinforces my hc that xiao trains him). sometimes i watch high energy choreography vids on youtube and some dancers look incredibly light on their feet, almost like their body is inherently bouncy? and i imagine chongyun to have that agility to him. chongyun has a delicate face and aura and i let that bleed into my hcs for his fighting style and physical capabilities hahaha. hes kind of like a cat who's deceptively strong. as for height.. just a few inches taller than xiao, so perceptibly short at 5'4"
- ga ming my new beloved. pretty much similar to chongyun but more muscular and stronger just because he wields his claymore with ease. theres a noticeable weight different between cy and his claymore the way he lugs it up after he swings (or even other claymore users like razor who, on his last hit, bounces from impact). meanwhile ga ming literally slams his to the ground LOL. i love his movements though hes very swift and expressive and radiant.. if cy has delicate movements then ga ming's is fierce and (charmingly!) assertive
ga ming is wonderfully charismatic though, i know hes not well known in liyue harbor yet, but he seems like the type to gain a reputation from his friendliness. how could no one adore him hahaha. 5'5" for height! just between xy and xq
#tangy talks genshin#chongyun gets analyzed most my bad#this was super fun though#while thoughtful ; genshin chara designs will always look distinctly gacha and flashy so a lot of the designs kinda blur together in my hea#this is why i really like looking into their animations particuarly their normal attacks#i think it conveys their personalities really well! it's always something to look forward to when new characters release#i gravitate towards swords polearms and claymores most though because i like the act of swinging and slashing hah. it also requires a lot o#body movement and reflects a lot of irl martial arts fencing and other combat techniques#sword users are always really fun to watch because theyre inherently graceful hahah. i will admit it gets kinda repetitive#i think my favorite NA animation has to be albedo's.. very simple clean and refined. he stands elegantly and puts his arm behind his back o#his 2nd attack which ive been transfixed by since be first came out in 2020 LOL. i love albebo#wow these tags are long as hell#but anyway i actually have more thoughts on xq's physical appearance but its just me rambling about how i think hes funny as fuck#im a proponent of dashingly pretty princely xingqiu not necessarily because i want to bestow upon him desirable traits#but because i think its funny knowing hes just a bit of a loser under all that#hes well known (mr worldwide one might say) and the heir to a prestigious guild and chivalrous talented and prolific#but he writes self insert novels hates carrots had bad handwriting sings really bad#hes just a teenage boy#as always i will 100% have more to say about chongyun but ill save that for another post#ga ming on the other hand.. i dont have anything substantial to say but hes super fun to think about#hes such a likable character#wow these tags are LONG as fuck ill stop now.

Is there maybe a different term for the kind of crochet amigurumi I do? Like generally amigurumi are the chibi, round, simplified shaped yarn plushies. And mine are just whatever shapes the Pokemon are so there's more different kinds of shapes than round and ball.
I haven't found as many artists doing stuff like mine which kinda bums me out because I want to see other works like mine that I didn't have to make in the first place.

it is not lost on me that the other gladiators in the arena regard traximus with respect despite that gruell has a very strict 'no mercy' rule. i can only imagine he'd shown kindness and mercy when possible. a part of his spirit may have resigned before the boys met him, but it was never broken.

Donald Sutherland guest stars as the appropriately named Philip Guest, a less appropriately unbalanced kidnapper, in Gideon's Way: The Millionaire's Daughter (1.21, ITC, 1966)
#donald sutherland#fave spotting#gideon's way#the millionaire's daughter#1966#itc#classic tv#:(#I've had this rattling around in my drafts‚ with a whole heap of other Gideon's Way posts‚ for months now#just waiting for me to get around to tagging them and getting a few final quotes etc (moving abroad did not help in that regard)#a sad reason to be dragging this out from drafts but it felt fitting somehow to mark Don's passing with one of his earliest and#most obscure roles. anyone who has followed my fave spottings at all (follow the tag for more early Sutherland) will know i have always#championed Donald's status as surely the most successful rentayank on the scene; they were an (unofficial) group of actors‚ mostly from#Australia or (like Don) Canada‚ who'd moved to the UK for work and found themselves filling just about any American role on classic tv or#in minor Brit films. Don was far from the most prolific‚ spending just a few years in the uk where others (eg Paul Maxwell‚ Shane Rimmer#Charles Tingwell and more) ended up staying for most of their long careers. but Don did the rounds‚ turning up in shows like this and#The Avengers‚ The Saint and The Champions. he even managed to fit in a couple of films‚ including Hammer's Die Die My#Darling (aka Fanatic) and the wonderful Dr Terror's House of Horrors for Amicus. then it was on to bigger and better things...#i can't think of many legitimate Hollywood leading men (and he absolutely was that) to show such incredible range#to work so diversely across genre and across style and to jump so readily from trashy blockbuster fare to genuine art film#in many ways he was a jobbing character actor somehow caught in the career of a full blown movie star; those films were all the better#for that fact and for his sheer dedication to his craft‚ to having fun‚ to doing the kind of stuff he wanted to do#truly a one off. we don't get many Donald Sutherlands. we should cherish the ones that we do#rip

In 2023, we seriously cannot be having conversations about a greener future and cleaning up our planet without mentioning U.S. imperialism, disarmament, and the carbon footprint of the U.S. military.

I have a greyhound and one (absolutely insane) grey/wolfhound mix and I’ve always wondered if Borzoi have similar personalities to greyhounds? Obsessed with your dogs btw, love their curly little butts 😭😭😭
Their butts are obsessed with you too
I think greyhounds and borzoi probably have the most similar personalities in general within the sighthound family! With the caveat different lines and different individual dogs can vary greatly.
A general like of people but not pushy about it, eccentric and funny at home. Enjoy couches and chilling tf out. Do well in “packs” granted their personal space and boundaries are respected.
The biggest differences are gonna be size and hair! Oh and greyhounds are more fragile in skin and bone. Borzoi are a bit hardier in those regards (HOWEVER a borzoi whomst wasn’t grown out properly WILL have weaker bones and be more prone to breaks). I’d say these differences aren’t overly significant if you aren’t doing lure coursing/open field tho.
Greyhound peeps feel free to sound off ✌🏻

Not counting Minish or Koroks which Hyrulean race do you think is the shortest?
Fairies!
...You probably didn’t mean them either, lol.
Honestly probably Hylians are the shortest, unless you count things like fairies and minish and all. Gerudo are tall, Zora are tall, Gorons are just big, and while the Rito vary a little, they’re either the same size as Hylians (ww) or notably bigger then them (botw).
Other races like the Subrosians or the Anouki or Deku sprouts might be smaller, but you said hyrulean, so I assume you meant races living in Hyrule proper :)

So much of fiction and of people's reactions to it makes it so obvious that most people think of cancer only as a tragic backstory to add ~flavour~ to a character and not as something that happens to people, extremely sucks to go through and has extremely long-term repercussions for everyone involved. It's almost always either a character who had cancer themself but it doesn't impact them at all anymore or, more frequently, a character whose loved one had cancer and died or is in the process of dying, both of which are used to kick-start or influence their own story arc and then the person who had/has cancer only serves as Inspiration TM, a source of Trauma TM or a source of Conflict TM.
And that wouldn't be that much of a problem if it didn't Very Obviously impact the attitudes towards cancer patients/survivors and their loved ones of ppl who've never been directly confronted with it, and didn't mean said cancer patients/survivors and their loved ones needed to do So Much unlearning about these attitudes when it happens to them

Still baffled that Christo wrote about the Frog Lake massacre but then said Wandering Spirit wasn't there (he definitely was) & pinned it on a totally different Chief who was nowhere near the incident irl & had absolutely nothing to do with it
Like this woman had to completely change what actually happened in history for her book, because that was the only way she was able to sympathize with Cree people, is if we were helpless victims who just let ourselves be killed, she can't sympathize with us if we were killing colonizers & when we fought back.
