speaking about idioms! there’s another ukrainian one that really does fit these two like a glove imho (at least from armand’s pov). “лежати на серці” which literally translates to “to lie on the heart” (like in the first pic, get it?), and it can mean two things: 1. to be the subject of constant thoughts, worries, sufferings; to trouble, weigh someone down. or 2. to cause someone’s affection, to be liked by someone. liiiiiike, how perfect is that????

another thing i feel has deepend my hatred for totk is... how quickly people jump to defending it, as soon as there is any criticism at all, no matter how little or legit, anyone that expresses disappointment, even in the most tamest way possible, the comments are filled with excuses for it like nintendo can do no wrong

(saw someone express disappointment about a concept art in the totk book that they would have liked more than what we got, and the comments were filled with people making excuses for it-)

often the process of cool concepts getting less cool over the development cycle, especially in this modern gaming industry, isnt bc it just wasnt 'possible' or not the best choice, but bc it gets filtered through many layers of corporate "mass appeal" ideals for greater profit, "mass appeal" i think is always going to give you something more generic, losing its edge, its spark, you cant make soemthing that literally appeals to everyone, thats not how it works, but they certainly try anyway bc it promises greater profit in theory

of course, that doesnt mean that has to be the reason for whatever they decide to go for in the end, but they can do wrong, very questionable, and very much bad things, they have done that and ARE doing that, and you should be able to express disappointment about that without getting swarmed by a weird nintendo defense squad, in fact, it SHOULD be criticised, sometimes that can even be fun, sometimes mroe frustrating, but it should be done regardless, does it sound fun to jsut fully accept everything they throw in front of you without question??? does that sound like you will only get better things???

i just realyl hate that weird cult following (exaggeration) the game has amassed where you either worship it or must unreasonably hate it, that you cant express any sort personal feelign towards it that isnt praise without being hit by the squad tm

its not just annoying, its weird, what are you defending them for?? why??? i had this problem a while too, but its died down sicne then, probably bc people realized im not the 'average' fandom guy but a very specific kind of fandom guy- whenever i view outside my little bubble though i see it still happen ... even for the most miniscule of criticism

Ugh, I got to talk with my rabbi again and getting to talk about Psalms and then g-d and why g-d decided to leave His nature open-ended and then about how I feel about am yisrael and how I now can't stop thinking, "these are my people" and why I have such a complex relationship with yisrael was honestly kind of healing. random hcs abt Longclaw while im still thinking abt this:

A Giant Owl, 7 ft tall, not a mobian as these creatures are way more anthromorphic, meanwhile the Giant Owls look just like normal owls do, just big & armored & armed .

Not the last of her clan, though they've diminished a lot . There are several others still left & they're equally ( if not more ) dangerous & equipped with advanced knowledge & technology, the Giant Owls are an interdimensional race with quite the long lifespan, and Longclaw herself is a dimensional hopper & already hundreds of years old .

Giant Owls found out about Angel Island's mural & the prophecy surrounding Sonic & the Chaos Emeralds, their extreme nature & their tendency to take matters into their own claws led to taking tiny baby blue hedgehog from hedgehogs family in order to ensure his "powers" would not fall into the wrong hands .

Longclaw felt terribly guilty & empathetic towards the super fast little baby & took him & escaped, protecting him & raising him as her own . She already had her issues with how her fellow owls ran things, Sonic was kind of the last straw .

Currently still a dimensional hopper, she parted ways with Sonic after training him & ensuring he was ready to face the world, leaving him was "setting him free" , she believed. Claiming she was just as bad as the rest of the owls & didn't deserve to be seen as his mother, but Sonic doesn't know that, all he knows is that she had to leave . She had a lot of loose ends to tie with the rest of her clan & other interdimensional threats, her sense of duty having never wavered . Being a mama bird was only a short break .
