Solas: Dragon age Inquisition Also known as Fen'Harel, the Dreadwolf. An Ancient Elvhen god.
I had to draw my favorite rift mage all armed up, looking casual yet intimidating and slightly sexy.
Because look at those thighs. I mean, damn.
Made with fineliners, and acrylic ink on paper.

DA4 Dread Wolf : Unrest in the so called "fandom"
People need to chill the fuck out about DA4. Like... games take awhile, get over it.
The whole "DA4 isn't real" thing is hilarious. People also need to chill about this, too. It's fucking funny, die mad about it.
A company laying workers off is like... nothing special. Sorry, it just isn't.
Mary Kirby being laid off does suck but we don't know the real reason, either. Nor do we know the actual severance she received. Nor will we. Ever. Because we are the fucking public, not her bestie. Argue with the wall.
Bioware doesn't owe you shit. Stop acting like a spoiled bitch about it. People bitch if a game comes out and isn't done but then bitch if a game takes too long to be released. People lose their shit if the words "crunch time" are even uttered but then whine about a game taking "forever". Like, pick one.
Don't fucking forget that Bioware is owned by EA. Like, when did people forget this? Did y'all take fucking alzheimer's pills? The fact that it isn't just slammed out right now should be a good thing.
And finally... don't like it? Don't buy it. Real simple, easy to remember and everything.

So About That Thedas Calls Teaser...
I am by no surprise a map fiend and have been combing over the map shown. First off it is tilted and squashed to heck cause of the really fun stylization which seems to be pulling inspiration from historical nautical maps as it has at least two sea bound center points.
Second, we have confirmation of:
Treviso, Antiva
Rivain
Weisshaupt, Anderfels
There are elements that suggest the following:
Merdaine, Anderfels: a location that holds the giant white sculpture of Andraste titled "Our Lady of the Anderfels", this is also near Weisshaupt.
Minrathous, Tevinter: which would make sense considering everything we've seen in previous concept work and through the short stories and anthology Tevinter Nights
Arlathan Forest, Tevinter: Same reasoning as above
Kal-Sharok: This one is a bit more tenious because as I mentioned in the first point the map is squashed and tilted so exact location is hard to figure out. Couple with the fact the structure is largely hidden in the fog of war. It could very much also be Andoral's Reach as that is the other known location in that area, but that is in Orlais so I have my doubts.
The following images are organized in order of mention:
The last image shows the whole frame for Minrathous, Arlathan forest, and the mysterious southern fortress (Kal-Sharok?) I also wonder, given that the Thedas Herbology oversized mousepad shows two varieties of deep mushrooms we've only seen in a drawing in The World of Thedas Vol. 2; the bleeding russula and the blighted morel. I wonder if that further lends to the possibility that we will be venturing back into the Deep Roads.
I'm really hoping we get to see more than one place in each location outside Tevinter. Not only that, but I also hope we get to go to Antiva City, though not named it would be interesting to see the capital of Antiva as well as how the "crown" and crows are handling the fifth occupation of Treviso by what they perceive as the Qun and if the main body of the Qun is helping fight against the rebelling Antaam as we see suggested in Tevinter Night.
I do really love the map they've shared, the stylization definitely communicates a focus on certain locals and fades away the ones we don't need to even consider. The use of the fog of war also plays so well into that and the sea monster.
Unfortunately, it doesn't portray much in terms of climates/biomes. The Anderfels looks arid as it always has, but Antiva is even more un-informing than usual. The fact the map is essentially stylized cracking rock portrays little on if Antiva is an arid climate or not. Considering Treviso seems to have snow on the mountains, and pretty low on the peaks as well, I have questions considering the rough placement we've been suggested they are on the globe and the fact that Seheron and Par Vollen are tropical and Rivain has the hallmarks of the same with the crops they grow - bananas, sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, rice, chickpeas, bell peppers, ect.
Very excited to get back into the world of Thedas again.

Please don't imagine Solas succeeding in his task and having to bury the only woman he ever loved with his own hands.
Don't imagine him building a temple devoted to Lavellan over her tomb, filling it with murals depicting her deeds and devotion to her people. Please don't think about how he would make this temple the most awe inspiring building in the whole of new Arlathan, putting everything else to shame.
Oh and don't you dare think about how he would include every member of the inquisition in this temple's gravesite. Please, don't imagine him making sure that every single one of them had their own resting place inside this building, along with their stories painted on the walls with intricate detail because he refuses to let them rot in obscurity and all alone.
Spare yourself, don't imagine him dedicating his life to this project to bring honor to his dead lover and his dead friends, and once it is done, years later, he ends up in the final tomb because he ended himself over the crushing guilt that's eating him alive from the inside out.
Don't do that. That would be torture.

Varric Tethras: "I knew him as Solas, a thoughtful mage obsessed with dreams. But long ago, he had a different name. Fen'Harel, the Dread Wolf. Ancient elven god of lies, or heroic rebel against tyranny, depending on which story you believe. In his final fight with the elven gods, Solas imprisoned them and created a Veil that split our world from the raw magic of the Fade. But now, he wanted to tear down that Veil, and destroy the world. And we're the only ones who can stop him."
I have SO many questions!!!
I feel like the tearing down of the Veil, while possibly a bad thing or at least bad in the moment, may not be as bad as it's being hyped. How much of the reaction to it is based on a bias that magic and spirits are bad, and the Veil is a good thing?
Is there a connection between the blight, the Veil, and red lyrium? What does that mean in terms of the Titans?
How do the Elven god's factor into the mural? And connect to what we see here?

So my initial thought of how Dreadwolf would go was there’d be a kind of rogue secret society (kind of like the Red Jenny group but different) that’s trying to stop Solas because they don’t think the Chantry or the Templars are competent enough. And it would have made it SOOOOO easy to turn it into a multiplayer game that you and your friends could go travel and fight demons and enter the veil together.
I was really sad to hear that it’s not a multiplayer game. I think it’s still going to be fun and I’m still going to buy it but....it would have had the perfect set up.
I just wanna run around with friends lol

If Bioware cares about player choice, they’ll let us team up with Solas to destroy the Veil in Dragon Age 4.

I don’t think people should worry about inkys being left out in da4.
The fact that you choose who drinks from the well of sorrows between inky and Morrigan makes me think that the devs have something seriously big planned for later probably involving mythal or evanuris and using this ‘binding’ to mythal.
If your inky drunk from the well I’m pretty sure they are going to have to make a later appearance in game. I’d argue that it’s a pretty big deal that drinking from the well allows you access to certain ancient elven codexes that you otherwise miss. It is an option that will surely be tried out at least once. Dai also makes it seem like the fate of the wardens matters a lot for the future.
