Rook catches Lucanis's attention from across the room.
Tumblr media
Part 2 (or should it be part 1?) of some DATV ballroom colour sketch explorations. I'm a sucker for moments like these. I also loosely incorporated some of the costume designs from the concept art. Planning to explore dancing scenes for part 3. Part 1 here

In the final battle, Rook has one last decision to make: who to send to the front lines to defend the Divine's manor ⚔️ I sent Davrin here again, as I always find him the most appropiate in big battles, and he succesfully defended Morrigan 💪
Tumblr media
Fun fact: if you don't complete Taash's quest, the Dragon King will be leading the enemy forces here instead of a random Qunari 🐲 During my second playthrough, I sent Taash here to face their nemesis, but despite having maximum faction strength, they were killed by the Dragon King 😢

Neve's personal quest was focused on taking care of her hometown, Dock Town in Minrathous 🏰
After defeating her nemesis, Aelia, we have the choice to encourage her to become an inspiration 🌟 to the people or keep working in the shadows 👤 effectively becoming the leader of the Threads 👑
Tumblr media
I chose the shadows, the Threads needed a new leader and I wanted to have someone I could trust there, given their shady past.

The last decision in The Last Gambit was choosing who to send to deal with the massive construct 🗿 The choice was pretty obvious, I sent Taash and they successfully brought it down.
Tumblr media
Fun fact: If you don't complete Emmrich's quest, instead of the Juggernaut you will face Johanna's Bone Golem 💀 Also, depending on their class, different companions will take different roles here: Taash climbs the construct and Vorgoth supports the attack from the ground. If you send Emmrich, he will be on the ground while Evka climbs up.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I wanted Emmrich to face his nemesis in the final battle, and I can confirm that with maximum faction reputation he succeeds, unlike Neve with Aelia 👀

Scout Harding's personal quest was the most interesting to me. Finding out the truth about the Titans' demise, she is shook to the core and facing an existential crisis 🫨
Tumblr media
I nudged her towards compassion instead of anger, I see no point in nurturing fury for things that happened thousands of years ago 😌

The second choice in The Last Gambit was deciding who to send to deal with the Venatori at the gate 🪄 I chose Lucanis, the role fit the mage-killer perfectly 🥷
Tumblr media
Fun fact: if you don't complete Neve's personal quest, Aelia will be here instead of a random Venatori. I found this quite cool as it gives a bit more personality to the villains, so I tested this moment to see if Neve can defeat her nemesis here. Unfortunately, even with maximum faction strength, she is killed by Aelia 😢

Bellara had one of the most emotional personal quests 😢 After finding out that her supposedly dead brother was alive and aiding one of the Forgotten Ones, she helped Cyrian get rid of the influence of Anaris and banished the false god.
Tumblr media
After her brother was killed, the matter of The Archive remained. Being an elf and still hoping to restore our great past (yes I am a Solas supporter 😆), I encouraged her to keep The Archive.

Getting into the endgame choices of Dragon Age The Veilguard, the first one is deciding who should dismantle the wards or protect the Veil Jumpers 🧝‍♂️
The best option here is a mage, but in my case Bellara was unavailable, and I wanted my lover Emmrich and my bestie Neve with me. Being a Shadow Dragon, I also wanted to do this segment in Minrathous with another member of my own faction.
Tumblr media
I ended up sending Davrin since I think he can do a good job protecting others, and so he did. Strife survived, but I was confused how that happened because in my case he took a sword through his guts that should have been fatal 😵‍💫

Emmrich had the biggest existential crisis in his personal quest ☠️ Based on our choices, he either becomes immortal or he embraces mortality, saving Manfred in the process. He has one of the best companion quests, in my opinion.
Tumblr media
I was romancing him 💚 so I opted to keep him human and mortal, but I find the Lich route more interesting as it's possibly the only evil choice for a companion in the game 😏

Another important choice near the end of Dragon Age The Veilguard saw Rook choose who to dismantle the blood magic wards on Tearstone Island ✨
Tumblr media
I chose Bellara as I thought she would be more appropriate, given all the elven stuff going on. I'm glad I did as she looked incredibly badass during the final mission 😍 I thought she would die at the end, but she survived because I previously helped her become a Hero of the Veilguard.

Taash's personal quest ended with Rook choosing the Qunari heritage or Rivaini culture for them. I personally found this a bit unnatural, especially in the whole context of their quest, focused on self-discovery and making their own choices 🤔
Tumblr media
I chose the Qunari heritage because I like it better and because I thought Taash could make a real difference for the better there 🙌

This was probably the most controversial and heartbreaking decision of Dragon Age The Veilguard 💔
Tumblr media
At Tearstone Island, I chose Harding to lead the distraction team, because I thought the role would suit her better and because I wanted Davrin by my side.
Tumblr media
I didn't expect the outcome, but I was glad with my choice as I like Davrin better, not to mention Assan 🪽

🐦‍⬛Lucanis' personal quest led to either imprisoning or pardoning his cousin, Illario, after the latter committed treason. I didn't save Treviso, so Lucanis automatically chose to send him to prison, which led to Lucanis expressing his wish to separate from Spite in the future.
Tumblr media
I was surprised there was no option to execute Illario, that would have been my choice ☠️ On my second playthrough I decided to set him free, just to see the difference. Lucanis subsequently reconciled with Spite 💜

The first choice with real consequences in Dragon Age The Veilguard is deciding to personally go and save one city from the dragon attack 🐲
Tumblr media
I did both, my Shadow Dragon saved Minrathous and my Antivan Crow saved Treviso. While I understand the reasoning behind aiding Treviso as it's less defended, you miss out on a lot more content if you don't save Minrathous 😢
Tumblr media
You lose complete access to the Shadow Dragons, the faction leader gets sick and potentially dies. Most importantly, you miss a lot of content with Dorian, including the option to choose the next Archon 💔 The only reason I would choose Treviso is to romance Lucanis 🐦‍⬛
