Whole Again Ending It All (Halloween Monster “Roleplay” 4) Epilogue

Well, I'm alive, if you can call this living. The Hole disappeared and I was spat back out in my time and at my home, very convenient. I don't know if The Hole is gone for good, but it felt like it was finally satisfied with my sacrifice. Only time will tell. In the Hole I saw a few visions of what happened afterwards. The Hole vanished into thin air. The ghost army went back to their graves, complaining about how it was the worst war ever. The Gnarly tree shrank back down to a few roots, and Sleepy Hallow is safe. Legends of The Headless Horseman getting Ichabod Crane at the bridge grew, while others say he escaped and started new life elsewhere. Brom Bones was named a hero for facing against the Headless Horseman, and a statue was erected in town square in his honor. I don't know what happened to the Sprits Of Halloween. Most likely went back to where they live when it's not Halloween and gloat how they defeated me. I don't know if there will be a story next year; only time can tell. But all is good for now. Now back to drawing bad art that gets ignored!

the thing is i don't even think an anoes remake is fundamentally a bad idea (< lying but has accepted the remake industrial complex as a fact), and imo the best execution would be a combination of aspects of the first 3 that prioritizes the fantastical horror that sets freddy apart. then the remake we got was. so deeply not that

Ending It All (Halloween Monster “Roleplay” 4) Part 31

The battle has been great for the Spirits Of Halloween. It's true we have thinned their numbers down quite a bit. I get the feeling that the holiday of Halloween is slowly dying. But the price has been far too high. Not only have I lost many of my ghosts, poor Daredevil, my crazy faithful horse has died in the line of battle. I guess he really did learn to trust me in the end, and look what it got him. I look over the battle field, death, destruction, tons of ectoplasm all over the place... ew... Worst of all towering over it is The Hole, eating away at the world without a care. Slowly making its way to Sleepy Hallow. News of Icobod Crane's death must be reaching there by now. If only they knew what true horror was coming. I saw one town destroyed, not another. I look over at all the carnage and think to myself, Is this my fault? Did I do something wrong to cause all of this? Am I not just a victim to the war as any other stander by? I did not ask for this. I just wanted to enjoy Halloween. Get into the spirit of it by dressing up and telling a silly story or two. Now... now it's a mess. It's so disjointed that nobody knows what this is about. So many references and tidbits left to the wayside because of a decade of story telling. All this pain and suffering to fill the ego of one man—to tell the truth, I'm tired. I'm worn out. I don't know if I can do this anymore. A piece of the world is missing... and it's me. The battel has been lost. I could go into details of how I cruelly killed a few spirits, but I feel the point has been made. I could make myself the hero by killing all the Spirits Of Halloween and stopping The Hole for good, but I'm not a good guy. I'm just me. I look at The Hole, slowly devouring the battel field, uncaring about the carnage being wrought. The hole is searching for something, but whatever it is, The Hole has outgrown it. It needs something more substantial. I faced towards The Hole and began to run. Fine, if it wants something powerful, let it have the most perceived powerful thing around, me. I am the one who brought all of this—the weird ghost stories, the overly complicated plots, the jokey tone to a horror story, the stepping over bounds. If there needs to be more death to end this, let it be me and let it be finished. I get close, and a thought comes to me: the end is neither cold nor warm; it feels quiet. To die, I have done this before many times. I get closer and closer. My eyes can see the void, nothingness. All my choices and all the lessons I learned did not matter... or maybe that's all that mattered. To all the people I hurt and to all the friends I made along the way and then hurt, I'm sorry. The Hole begins to consume me with great glee. I don't know if I am what it's looking for, but I am sure one Hell of a snack. The great vortex lifts me into the air as if I am a leaf in the wind. I begin to twist and turn in great agony as the forces rip my very soul apart. I'm so sorry. Just up front, I see it, my head. My real head. I let go of the magical pumpkin and reached out towards it. Slowly... slowly... I got it. Finally. I place it on the rightful neck and feel whole once again. But only for a moment as The Hole consumes me, ending it all.
