one of the things i regret most about not getting into f1 properly sooner is missing prime seb AND hes my favourite driver OAT so the obvious answer is him BUT. i do think his retirement was well timed for him. who i really want back on the track? logan sargent. incredibly popular opinion ikik but the way he was discarded… i need him in an alpine or a haas, williams did him SO. dirty.

i wouldve loved to see him improve

guys im fucking stupid ive been using my own damn tagging system wrong

if anyones been paying attention to my nautical/north/south star tags theyre supposed to sort my posts but i got nautical and north mixed up

also, fun fact, the “nautical” part of my username is inspired by pheobe bridgers moon song (“its nautical themed // and theres something im supposed to say // but cant for the life of me // remember what it is”) and sam fender leave fast (“the blue star on the nautilus”)

thinking about that one we live in time scene where almut yells “i dont wanna be someones dead fucking mum” and thinking about f1 drivers (bc what else do i do ever)

do you guys think that before/during crashes the drivers ever think about how if they die there that all of their accomplishments and titles will be boiled down to “that driver that died on track”

like (regrettably) all i know about senna is that he passed away because of a crash, do you think they (the drivers) know/think about that?

hes been here for all of 10 minutes and hes already throwing shit at other drivers and being wholly unprofessional and rude

and he still got the redbull seat over yukiWHO SAID THAT

personally, I don’t think liam lawson has done anything to warrant him replacing both checo perez and daniel ricciardo, or at the very least getting the redbull seat over yuki.

daniel has brought a lot of success for redbull in the past - both on track and off track. he’s charismatic, a pr gold mine, and played a big role in the development of the vcarb car this season. yuki himself said daniel’s input is very valuable to the team, and that he’s learned a lot of him. there’s no need for me to talk about his driving abilities.

checo perez on the other hand, has been brilliant in his own way in the past. most importantly, he played an excellent second fiddle to max, without question, and without questioning. similarly, yuki has been fiercely loyal to redbull for a long time, and has proven himself time and again.

liam has not really been any of these things. he hasn’t massively outperformed yuki, if at all, he’s tried to pick a fight with fernando, he trash talked mclaren without even ten races under his belt, and had half the grid at least mildly annoyed with him because of his antics both in the races and the practise sessions.

I don’t generally read into drivers’ personal life, but form what I understand liam has been blatantly racist, homophobic and associates himself with trumpies. also I hate the way he does his hair.
