comfort character: arago hunt from arago. this one is hard because i don't really use the term 'comfort character' lol. but anyway arago is the reason i have my current group of friends so he's comforting i guess?

by design: sawada tsunayoshi from khr. after many commissions including armors from fire emblem and ffxiv i started enjoying figuring out how to draw khr's jewelries. also it's always satisfying when i managed to pull off his hair

by plot: koyama haru from jk haru is a sex worker in another world. i was tempted to draw mahiru again but haru needs more love. the plot revolves around deconstructing the usual misogynistic isekai power fantasy by narrating it through the eyes of a prostitute

guilty favorite: akashi kaoru from zettai karen children. a child of prophecy who will destroy the world because the world is a cruel place for people like her... can the bonds she creates as she grows older saves her from that lonely fate? she is also a grade schooler who loves acting like a perverted middle aged man lol.

all time favorite: jamie bennett from rotg. the alpha and omega. the origin. the reason im so into plain looking brunets.

my arago/cdf crossover just ended up with giving baby steve hatred towards Alpha Male types because his mom ran away from home and mr leonard ended up forced to be steve's primary caretaker and i think a lot about cycle of abuse and how steve is one timeline away from growing up into his father

Dude, Steve practically is his father in a lot of my fics. Like, he full on hates his dad, but I made him mantle a lot of ‘alpha male’ tendencies as this mask for feeling rejected.

It’s hard to break the cycle of abuse when you’re not fully aware of what it actually is. Steve understands that what happened in his family life wasn’t right, but he can’t stop the violent tendencies or the brash, angry outbursts.

But, also, I like how both of us instilled this hatred in Steve that stemmed from his father despite being two very different AUs. Never would’ve described it as ‘alpha male,’ but by God that is totally it.

For a second Ichigo thinks she’s going to fight him on this, but after a second of thoughtful silence, Tatsuki finally pulls back with a sigh. “Fine. But I get to ask any question, and you gotta answer.”

“Yeah, yeah.” 

“And I want to meet this secret teacher of yours.”

“Yeah, sure,” Ichigo starts to say, but then the words register and he whips back around again. “What, what?”

“I said--”

“I heard you. You’re not meeting him.” 

“Oh yes, I am.”

“No,” Ichigo says forcibly. “You’re not.” A pause, and then he adds, pointedly, “Even if you ask he probably won’t teach you anyway.”

Tatsuki rolls her eyes at him, and pulls her own backpack up high on one bony shoulder. “Whatever. We’ll see. Bye, Ichigo.”

“Yes, I am Arago Lugh.” And even though the man did not directly answer his question, it was obvious that he was the saint that he was looking for. He was glad that saints wore armour since it was easier to find him. “Good thing that I found you. I am not bad with directions but I can’t seem to find where the Sanctuary is. Since you are my guide…” Or escort. “I guess I don’t have to worry anymore.”

As he was talking, he couldn’t help but stare at the basket of food that was in the saint’s arms. Fresh fruits… he hoped they were not for him. He couldn’t handle eating fresh food…  

“The head priestess could not be here as she is busy with other matters and sent me here on her behalf.”

He wished Connor could have sent someone else. He was not good at politics. His skills were of a fighter but Connor told him that if he wanted to help the Lugh clan, he would need to be good at politics and making alliances. Fortunately, for him, the Sanctuary was already an ally with the Lugh Clan.

Arago was only here for few minutes and he was already lost… Where was the entrance of the Sanctuary again? Where was he supposed to meet his guide? He was told that his guide was a saint named Aspros, whoever, that person was. He was kind of glad it was not Regulus. He liked the boy and so did his cousin. It was just the boy’s cosmos was too bright for his liking which was ironic coming from someone who was in the Lugh clan. He spotted a man in gold armour and decided there was no harm in asking. “Hi, can you tell me where I can find a saint named Aspros?… Gemini Aspros, I believe.”

♕┊ Aspros was directed to go just outside of Sanctuary to fetch a guest from Ireland. It wasn't uncommon for Sanctuary to receive guests, so long as said people were expected and escorted in by high officials.

Sanctuary's entrance was, for the most part, very obscure. Hidden within the mountain range just outside of Athens. Innocent travelers would most likely skip Sanctuary by accident. After all, the powerful, ancient barrier around the location made Sanctuary adopt an avoidance characteristic to non-citizens -- evading outsiders with illusionary pathways that lead past the ancient militant metropolis.

He was instructed to meet the person in a small outpost town at the foot of Hymettus. The town was already acquainted with Sanctuary and even benefited from the amicable relations with the confidential city-state. It wasn't Rodorio. Rodorio was a village within Sanctuary -- a safe space for the growing families of Saints. Since this small town had frequent visitors from Sanctuary, none of the citizens batted an eye in confusion when the man donned in full, golden armor walked down the street.

Aspros made a very quick pitstop at a produce shop. After all, Defteros had asked to bring back something. If it was to humor his brother, then so be it. The Gemini Saint made a quick purchase of some figs, cherries, and apples. Just as the Gold Saint was gathering the basket of fruits in his arms, a person with silver hair and a scar between his brows approached him.

♕┊ "..." Aspros stared at the stranger. His immediate thought was, 'who the fuck is this to be asking around for me?'

...then he realized, oh, perhaps he got too carried away in the pleasant conversation with the very handsome shopkeeper. He momentarily forgot that he was on escort duty.

"I take it you're the visitor?" Aspros finally kicked himself into replying after he took a good look at the person. Testing the waters still, he continued with an amicable front while carefully evaluating the other. "Argos... wait, no. Arago Lugh?"

there are certain features about the hunt twins that immediately made tallmen think "huh that's a really buff elf" while elves think "holy shit that's a REALLY ugly elf" until they realize behind those fluffy hair are completely rounded ears and immediately adjust their mindset and think of him as a half-elf (he is not).

beautiful to tallmen, the facial scar isn't really something they would be bothered with in dunmeshi setting unlike in modern day setting. dwarves also think he's ugly but unlike elves who think he's "not elfy enough" it's because he's "too elfy". again, not really much to look at for gnomes, half-foots, kobolds, and orcs.

he doesn't really have a special characteristic that would make him attractive outside of his looks be it his personality or his power. if anything his power is a huge turn off because it's basically a curse since he doesn't know how to control it. to get into that gooey and warm kindness beyond his rough exterior people need to spend a lot of time with him to find it.

at the very least, children consider him a 'cool adult'.

Ichigo directs his scowl at the ground instead, and Arago sighs. “C’mon, kid, you were late by almost twenty minutes, and now you’re slipping into mistakes you haven’t made since we started. What’s up?”

“…Nothing.”

“Nothing?” Arago crouches down to Ichigo’s level, trying to catch his eye, biting back a smile. It’s only been six months since he first started staying in Karakura, and in that time, he’s learned more about dealing with kids than he ever thought he’d learn. Like this, for instance. “Well, then. If it’s nothing, I suppose we can stop training for today and…”

“I said it was nothing!”

“I know. But that doesn’t change the fact you’re going to hurt yourself at this rate, and well, if there’s nothing to fix and no way to help it…” He trails off meaningfully.

Arago was startled when he suddenly heard the woman spoke. He didn’t see her there as he was too focussed on trying to figure out where he was. He didn’t like she called him little one. Not only that, there was something about her that his instincts were telling him that she was dangerous.

“Don’t you think I am too old to be called little one? But yes, unfortunately, I am lost. Do you know where I am right now and the quickest path to the closest inn?”
