Introduction
For my first post, i just want to introduce the most common uses of AI in the fashion industry as of right now, as it is something that has been growing since 2023, and even more in 2024 as it is a tool being integrated in many parts of the industry.
Sustainability - AI have been helping a lot with waste control in the fashion industry, as it is one of the most pollutive contributes, AI can control fabric and water waste, pollution and carbon emissions by measuring environmental metrics during garment production.
AR - One of the biggest news in online shopping is the augmented reality-based shopping tool which makes clients be able to try and experience the garments and accessories virtually almost as if they are in person, something Burberry already implemented in their online shopping experience, making a more inclusive space for online shoppers who can't see themselves in the base models used by companies to showcase their items.
Creativity and Design - Some brands already started using AI tools to to create new designs that appeal to their customers using a trained AI with millions of research and inspiration from the brand themselves to create new designs, silhouettes, color palettes and more. FIT students already worked with AI in classes to create designs and explore the tool and creativity.
Trend Forecasting - For a long time people in the industry had to analyze and study fashion runways, street fashion and pop culture to predict trends a year ahead, and now with AI that can be made in a more quick and efficient way with AI being able to analyze all those things AND millions of social media posts, sales and search data to make trend forecasting easier and more accurate.
Photoshoots - Photography and fashion have always walked side by side, and now with AI is no different, companies can use AI to create new and exciting ways to express art, fashion and photography. The AI in this case is used to enhance the experience, push boundaries and redefine the concept of fashion photoshoots, one example is Vogue Italia's May 2024 with Bella Hadid.

AI is complementing the fashion industry in a very interesting way, helping with sustainability in the future, making customer experience more interactive and improved and pushing the limits of creativity and design creation forward.

So I really was surprised by the results of the chat that I made but ai obliged. It a fic in working that I came out to looking at aesthetic pictures on Pinterest and be like “How fun it would be to find a fanfic with the vibe of rich child’s mdzs “ and I searched and I didn’t find ( if you know one let it in the comments pls) so I start making mood boards and then start making profiles and I star the story. It about the four five clans been national business and technically ruling China’s market in the following domains
Jiang have hotels and immobility plus water related business (like swimming schools, diving, equipments shops, resorted island etc) and with the add of Yu Ziyuan an equestrian school
Lan have been known for generations for there lawyers and academy (Clod Recesses is a high ranking school who have a very strict code and do a one year experience for high heirs or people that pass there test. Have multiple years and sections one for high school other for college) and they are known for music to but is more a side industry Lan Wangji is the singer one that practice as a job
Nie are known for there gyms and there fabrics and transport ( the fabric ar for different domains who work with heavy materials like metal, furniture, glass, construction etc ) after Nie Huaisang enter the family business they start having openings to the art industry
Jin doesn’t surprise anyone they rule the fashion, jewellery and banking industry’s ( I don’t feel like I need to explain everything just the full gold is still here, everywhere)
Wen for me ar the ones in Hi-Tech ( of course because they want to know anything and invented the best cameras to protect you house just that they use that for gathering informations and they have some dirty work to maybe spy’s or drugs )
The idea of the story is that all the characters we know start as a team, all the parent ar alive (just Nie. Huaisang and Nie Mingjiue are having just there dad but that in a plot surprise. It stars with all the main cast coming back to China after living aboard for some years and becoming known in the world by there talents and work , they were not been home for so long because off some scandals that hit the families very hard and some death threats but new they are back and they know how did it and they would make them pay. The story will have a lot of presents and past like the original series to show how we end up here.
Is Jiang family and Wei family been together as a big family and yes exist dramas but they over do it, is Jin siblings and all there mothers taking revenge of that stupid, is full of Mingjiue been at his limit because of his brother and his plans and half explain schemes, is Huaisang who have nothing just Wangxian around acting like idiot but 3zun to to the point that he create a way for them to confess, is Jiang Cheng and Wen Qing trying to not let Wei Wuxian been an idiot, is badass Jiang Yanli and Mo Xuanyu and Wen Ning who come at the perfect time with sweet and drinks or go to the chaos to, Wen Chao and Wen Xu ar not existing because Wen Ruohan never married but he has a sister and she is Wen Ruohan’s Jiang Yanli, Wens ar not the bad guys here Jin Guangshan is but the Wens ar the ones thought to be the bad ones( after some reread and some fanfics I realised that exact like Yu Ziyuan if some things didn’t happen or were different circumstances they could be actually good and that Wens for me like come on the were the best sect with the best cultivators and a great aesthetic so my modern Wens ar not bad and Wen Ruohan sister is his motiv of good behaviour her name is Wen Rumei and a was inspired by Yanli to make her staying and thinking how to make Wen Ruohan good and the process was “Yanli could stop Wei Wuxian from mass murder so that need Wen Ruohan to “ and that was it) the ships are Wangxian , 3zun, Wen Qing/Jiang Cheng, Jiang Yanli/ Jin Zixuan and of course all the parent like Wei Changze/ Cangse Sanren, Mandam Lan/Qingheng-jun, Yu Ziyuan/Jiang Fengmian, madam Jin / Jin Guangshan ( probably I will add Yu Ziyuan with Wen Zhuliu but i am knot sure ) that the ones I think for know but could be add depending of the way I go with the plot.
I will update it when I start making progress for the moment I have just ideas and profiles and a start for the beginning that I will let down for all of you to tell me what you think. After I have some chapters I will posted in ao3 but for new enjoy ( Is from Wei Wuxian’s perspective and yes he and Lan Wangji have a one night stand I wanted to make them at list start slightly, but I don’t promise that it would be without slow burn because of them not me is impossible to make them without it)
Prolog
Wei Wuxian leaned back against the plush leather seat of his private plane, the hum of the engines a steady undertone to his racing thoughts. Through the window, the vast expanse of sky seemed endless, painted in shades of amber and indigo as the plane soared closer to the city he once called home. Yummeng—its name alone stirred something deep in him, a mix of longing, apprehension, and a ghostly ache that had never quite gone away. He hadn’t set foot in this land for years, not since the scandal that shattered their lives and scattered the heirs of the great clans to the far corners of the world.
The Jiang, Lan, Nie, and Jin clans—all of them had been forced to retreat, to leave their territories, their families, their legacy. That was the cost of survival. The weight of the past still hung over him, tethered to every step of his journey since. He had built his empire abroad, carving a name for himself that echoed in places far removed from Yunmeng, Lanling, and Gusu. Yet, no matter how far he went or how high he climbed, those lands still lingered in his mind. They were a part of him, as vital and immutable as the blood that ran through his veins.
Home. The word felt foreign, yet it also wrapped itself around his heart, pulling tight. The Jiang clan compound awaited him, alive with the presence of those who mattered most: Yu Ziyuan, his fiercely protective aunt; Jiang Fengmian, his calm and steady uncle; Jiang Cheng, his sharp-tongued but unwaveringly loyal brother; and Jiang Yanli, the sister whose warmth had always been his safe haven. His parents, Wei Changze and Cangse Sanren, would also be there—a thought that both comforted and unsettled him. They had been constants in his life, even in their distance, and the idea of facing them now, after all these years, made his chest tighten. Would they look at him and see the son they had raised or the man he had become?
The seatbelt light flickered on as the pilot’s voice crackled overhead, announcing their descent. Wei Wuxian straightened, shaking off the haze of his thoughts. He wasn’t the only one coming back. The other heirs would arrive as well, their paths converging once more in the city that had seen their highest triumphs and deepest betrayals. The thought sent a shiver through him, his mind turning to the names etched into his memory. Lan Xichen, steadfast and gentle, yet as unyielding as the mountains his family hailed from. Nie Mingjue, a tower of strength, his presence always commanding. Jin Zixuan, his pride often mistaken for arrogance but carrying a heart of gold. And, of course, Lan Wangji.
Wei Wuxian closed his eyes briefly, willing himself to stay composed, but the image of Lan Wangji surfaced nonetheless. Those golden eyes, so calm and piercing, had haunted him for years. Their last meeting had been in Los Angeles, at a theater where Lan Wangji had performed a guqin piece that silenced the entire audience with its beauty. They had spent a single night together after that, and though no promises had been made, the memory of that evening still sent a shiver down Wei Wuxian’s spine. The feel of Lan Wangji’s touch, the way he looked in the soft light of the morning, and the empty space beside him when Wei Wuxian woke up—all of it lingered, unresolved and ever-present. Even now, as he stared out at the glowing horizon, the melody of that last performance played in his mind. It was Lan Wangji’s newest creation, one he hadn’t been able to stop listening to since.
The plane touched down smoothly, the sudden weight of the ground beneath them snapping Wei Wuxian out of his reverie. He drummed his fingers lightly against the armrest, his mind circling back to the years he had spent away. He hadn’t wanted to leave, not truly, but the scandal had left them no choice. They were too young, too vulnerable, to face the forces that had come for them. The heirs had scattered, each determined to forge their own path and return stronger. Now, that time had come.
As the plane taxied to the gate, the familiar tension of Yunmeng began to settle over him. It wasn’t just the physical landscape he was returning to, but the legacy he had once thought he’d lost forever. The fight ahead would be long and grueling, but for the first time in years, he felt the faintest spark of hope. They were all coming back, every last one of them. Together, they would reclaim what was taken.
The soft hiss of the cabin door opening pulled Wei Wuxian from his thoughts. He rose smoothly, adjusting the cuff of his tailored black jacket before descending the stairs. The outfit—a sharp, dark jacket that cut just below his waist and a loose shirt that dipped low enough to catch the eye—was intentional. It wasn’t just style; it was armor. His boots clicked against the metal steps as he reached the tarmac, his sharp gaze scanning the floodlit surroundings. The humid air of Yunmeng greeted him, wrapping around him like a phantom of his childhood.
He pulled a pair of sleek headphones from his bag, sliding them over his ears as he walked toward the waiting car. Lan Wangji’s melody began to play, its deliberate notes threading through his thoughts as he allowed himself a moment of quiet. The car door opened with a soft click, the driver bowing respectfully before stepping aside. Wei Wuxian slid into the cool leather interior, resting his head against the window as the city lights blurred past.
For now, the emotions could wait. His family was waiting, the future was waiting, and somewhere in the distance, the fight to reclaim everything they had lost was waiting too.

Urban Gods' plot and world details
So, I did post one synopsis here on Tumblr back when I started posting my Greek mythology comic, but it's kinda changed plots about 2-3 times since then, so I thought I'd post the most recent one.
Often times, the gods grow bored with their own existence, at which time they choose to reset their lives to experience them again through fresh eyes. The following story is an account of one such instance...
The story is basically a retelling of several popular myths, adapting them to a full 21st century setting, including Mortal Realm locations. The premise of how this is possible is that every once in a while the gods will just erase their own memories and relive their youths again.
I hope to eventually do several other shorter comics going deeper into other myths that will be briefly mentioned in the first story, which is an adaptation of the Abduction of Persephone.
Kore had grown up happily on her mother's farm, but dreamed of more, showing particular interest in the Underworld, specifically its king. A dark secret bars her from entering the realm, but that doesn't stop her as she continues to interact with Hades.
Other myths to be touched on include Minos and the Bull to Theseus and the Minotaur (which of course includes the Fall of Icarus and Dionysus and Ariadne <3 ), the 12 Labours of Heracles, The Myth of Sisyphus, Eros and Psyche, and the early years of Hermes.
As stated in previous posts, in this world, animal sacrifices have fallen out of fashion with mortals and in turn gods have started opening retail establishments or working in the entertainment industry, which mortals can patronize as a form of worship.
Some of my personal favorite establishments is the big three own bars in the heart of Athens, Hades has a nightclub near the flea market, Poseidon has a tiki bar on the beach, and Zeus owns a chain of hotels, the flagship location overlooking his major temple in the city.
Athena runs a university also in Athens, Aphrodite owns a chain of adult toy stores with the flagship location in Sparta, Demeter and Dionysus have a farm shop/farmers market in Sicily, Apollo is a pop idol, Ares operates this world's equivalent of the UFC, and Artemis runs a hunting blog.

The more I sit with episode 7 the more disappointed I am. The sequence from Crusty’s Waterbed shop to washing up on the beach right before the fight with Ares is three chapters long, over 50 pages total. To try to squeeze all of that plus the new ideas they added into 40 minutes is ludicrous. The events in episode 7 should have taken place over 2-3 episodes.
Something like this:
1. Start with Crusty’s Waterbeds. This would have allowed for more time to build up Crusty and the tension of the scene. This scene could have still been kept as a reveal instead of “we already know who and what you are”. I accept them ending the scene the same way because there is no way Disney would have let them show Percy fully decapitating someone on screen. Next, DOA records could have been used to start building atmosphere for what we were about to see in the underworld and we would have had time to have more fun with Charon! The rest of the time in the episode could be used for various flashbacks and backstory.
2. Start with a flashback of young percy. Cut to current day as they go down the river Styx. Then to Cerberus where we spend a bit more time playing with him. More tension surrounding the loss of one of the pearls. Specifically what it means to each of the trio. Then to Asphodel. I really love the idea they introduced of Asphodel being like a forest where your regrets take root and hold you there. Such an interesting concept and I wish we spent more time there! Then Tartarus. This could be basically how they played it in the show I didn’t have much issue with it.
3. Hades palace could take up most of the episode. Spend more time fleshing out the gods dynamics and showing how different Hades is from the rest of his family. Kronos reveal! Big deal! Should be a big reveal! More of the conflict of who should stay behind so we can rescue Sally. The flash back of Sally and Poseidon. This scene is perfect as is. The episode can end the same way with them washing up on the shore and Ares walking to them with the sword.
I’m not blaming the show, I’m blaming the fact that they were only given 8 episodes to adapt an entire novel! I hate this trend of tv shows only being given 8 episodes to work with. I understand part of it is how the budgeting works for streaming originals but this is Disney! They own half of the entertainment industry! Upgrading My Camera Gear
A few days before the end of the year, I used AI for perhaps the final time to suggest me some equipment to purchase along with what I already have for my camera set up. To recap:
I have a Canon EOS 2000D body and I have 3 lenses to go with it:
Canon 18-55mm
Canon 40mm
Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM Black Lens
Now, I'd asked ChatGPT to generate me a list of things that I could get to go with it and here's where I got confused.
It's all about lighting
One of the suggestions was to buy an external flash. However, one look at Amazon these days is enough to stress you out with information overload. Amazon once upon a time had a great App design, but now I see so many sponsored products that it's a struggle to know what's genuine. Almost immediately I stumble upon the brand Godox which (Seems to be) is considered the industry best in this respect.
Then I go browsing for reflectors. Again, the suggestion from a few threads I've read seem to suggest the Neewer 5 in 1 which works well for my needs and Amazon sell a stand that would hold the reflectors which I think is a great idea.
Further Confusion
A friend of mine then suggests to me about soft boxes. They weren’t on my list (which is another reason why speaking to a person is better than speaking to an AI). If I’ve understood it, then he’s explained it well.
A soft box helps to project the line, e.g, if you use an external flash, then the soft box projects the light in the shape of the box. A reflector then reflects the light based on the colour of the reflector and plus the angle.
Obvious Conclusion
What I take from all of this is that there will never be a single correct answer here. Instead, it’s about what I want to shoot and what I want to achieve.
Outside Sources
I look to YouTube to try and get the concepts explained to me. The first one I watch highlights how working with a softbox helps to create different light environments.
However, this soft box has the lights built into the device which makes me wonder: why am I buying an external flash?
Then, YouTube recommends this video which is helpful for a myriad of reasons. The main one being that both use refractors, but both handle soft-box lighting in 2 separate ways.
Late night shopping
I have a general rule of thumb. If I don’t understand why I don’t need something, I don’t buy it and that’s the case today. I understand why you would need reflectors but the situation with flash/soft boxes still eludes me. So, with that in mind, I spend a bit of time looking at lenses.
Here is where I think I understand. They have 2 lenses which I like:
Canon EF 50mm
Canon EF-S 10-18mm
One is better for portrait photography, whereas the other is a wide angle lens.
Am I wasting time and effort here?
It occurs to me that whilst I’m spending a lot of time thinking about the means of getting better quality photos into the camera, I should also give some consideration to the editing process of photos.
I go back to a process map that I created a while ago to review my editing stages during my process.
Signs from the universe
On Thursday morning, I load up YouTube and get 3 videos recommended to me which seem to be what I’m looking for:
Immediately after watching this, I realise I’ve been focusing too much on what I don’t have, rather than what I do have. I then move onto the next video
Almost immediately, the creator talks about using a wide shot. This aligns nicely with my intuition. My gut feeling was telling me that I needed to get a wide lens, but I was umming and arring. I also like this second creator, mind you, I like them both. So, I subscribe. Lastly, I get so inspired watching this 3rd video that I pause half way through as my mind is made up.
While I’m walking, I have a ponder about cinematic story telling. You often hear about the 3 acts and this seems to be a general rule of thumb for these videos structures. When I have an idea for a cinematic video, I'll need to practice on writing and building a 3 act structure to tell the story.
While I’m out shopping, the 2nd hand store near me sells the 50mm but not a wide angle lens. Onwards to another shop.
Plot twist
Eventually, I reach the shop I need, but plot twist, they don’t have any lenses whatsoever in stock. Disappointing but it forces me to recalculate. I could use the 18-55 for establishing shots, the 40 for medium shots and then use the 50mm for a close up. So, I head back to the 2nd hand store to buy the 50mm lens.
A Pleasant Surprise
While I’m in the store, I see the 50mm but then I also see a Canon EF-S 10-22mm! Okay now we’re cooking with gas. I’m able to pick up the 50mm and the 10-22mm.
But Wait, there’s more
I notice on the shelf that there is an external flash! Is it compatible with my camera? It is! So, after heading to the supermarket and buying food for the family, I head back to pick it up. I have never used an external flash before so this is a first for me. All that remains now is to test the quality and see what I think.

Response from Professor Nace on Screen Design proposal: "My class used Artivive for the AR component of the project. I think you headed in a clearer direction today. There are probably thousands of stories to tell. I would suggest thinking about something that you want to talk about and maybe follow. Example, have you ever gone on the rice field tour at Brookgreen garden? It's amazing if you haven’t. it clearly tells the story of slavery in that area. Perhaps you follow a “slave or slave family” from that time to a more present impact that that culture had on the area. Real or factious characters. Or a sailor that was in the fishing industry. Or what it was like for young women then and now? I think you will have to make a story that people can see themselves in."

Assigned Reading: The Weaving of Design & Community
Continuing the themes from the previous week's reading, this chapter discusses the idea of combining design and community to express your creative voice and make it heard through your work. One quote that resonates with me is: "It is about humanity, generosity, and characteristics innate to human beings that encourage us to try to make this a better world." This statement perfectly encapsulates the importance of using design to strengthen and uplift your community, contributing positively to the world around you.
I can relate this idea to an initial concept I had for my semester-long project for the Process and Systems course: to help revitalize Flemington, New Jersey, by fostering collaboration with local businesses and the art scene. This town holds a special place in my heart, as it was only a 26-minute drive from my hometown, and I spent many formative years there. I have fond memories of attending church at St. Magdalen's, shopping at the local outlets (which included the now-demolished Liberty Village), going to various doctor appointments, and dining with relatives at local restaurants.
Unfortunately, Flemington has fallen into disrepair. The main street is nearly devoid of businesses, the historic buildings are in poor condition, and very few people stroll through the area anymore. During my last visit in November, I kept asking myself if there was a way I could help. I wanted to use my graphic design skills to give back to the town that helped shape who I am today. I envisioned helping it recover in a way similar to Frenchtown's revival, injecting new life into the area.
Initially, I scrapped this concept because I wasn't sure it fit the course criteria, and I lacked the ability to travel back and forth to gather visual imagery and conduct research. However, as I have struggled to form a personal connection to my Murrells Inlet project, I am considering revisiting the idea of helping Flemington, as it is very dear to my heart. I still have a deep love and nostalgia for the town and want to see it succeed in any way I can.
I plan to continue working on the Murrells Inlet project, but I need to decide whether to make this change sooner rather than later, especially since the Screen Design portion of this project is due on February 11th!

Remember: RISO is transferring an image onto a thin stencil, called a master. This printing process is similar to screen-printing in the sense that ink is pushed through a prepared stencil.
Screenprinting is a process where ink is forced through a mesh screen onto a surface. Making certain areas of the screen impervious to printing ink creates a stencil, which blocks the printing ink from passing through the screen. The ink that passes through forms the printed image.
The main colors used in screen printing are cyan, magenta, yellow, and black (CMYK), which are considered the "four-color process" and allow for a wide range of colors to be reproduced by mixing them together
