Riku was standing there looking at Sora. "Sora? Is that really you? I thought you just faded away." He just stood there speechless because he didn't know what else to say. Or if it actually was Sora even for that matter. As far as he could tell, this might've been an illusion because he was missing Sora so much.

A wind stirred with hope found itself offering its embrace to the surroundings. Moments between mind and matter, of the current moment and beyond, they'd find themselves privy to these blessings. It left Sora all too conscious that wherever he was held, right now it was the aspect of dreams opening a gracious door.

To think he'd be found by one of his old friends. Normally his instances of glimpsing his home isles were short, that no amount of time trying to master this phantasmal body would give him the time for a visit. Perking up, Sora's perch from a higher up tree branch would subtle shift, his features brightening at the sight of Riku.

"Long time no see, huh? I mean-- well, you're not wrong, I did." There was no denying what happened on that day of pyrrhic victory. An effortless leap would send him from higher up onto the ground. Even then, it almost looks like he phased through it. Some unknown and considerable effort was being taken to stabilize.

"And even now I'm still not all the way here. I guess somethin' out there wanted to give me a little mercy. Heh, thought it'd be a lot longer before I actually got to see you again, to see everyone else." The emotion of such an opportunity prompts his heart to swell, but even then, that melancholic air feels too heavy to dissuade. It wouldn't be by force, but a willing choice that he wants Riku to see his smile hadn't lost its luster.

"But wherever I am, I'm still walking. It's like this place called The Final World-- but a night time version, it's beautiful here, but, man is it complicated."

having a child has taught me that every toddler is completely justified in their frustrations and tantrums because learning how to do something you have literally never encountered or heard of before is insane. and being expected to be completely calm in the face of this constant barrage of overwhelming information is doubly insane.

i got charlie a sticker activity book and it occurred to me i have to TEACH someone how to unpeel stickers. it's SKILL that requires DEXTERITY and FINE MOTOR ABILITY. i thought it was obvious that you have to curl the page a little bit to create a break in the cut so the sticker comes up.

obviously a fucking BABY wouldn't know that because they have no background experience to inform their thought process. OBVIOUSLY. and OBVIOUSLY the LITERAL BABY wouldn't get it right the first few times. it would OBVIOUSLY take practice. lots of it.

i hate this feeling. it's so obvious. why are children treated so badly when they're learning everything for the first fucking time. why do people treat children so horribly and expect so much. they're brand new. why didn't i get the same grace i give to my child? why did no one have patience for me? why, when it's this easy?

it's so easy. it's so fucking easy.
