I just had a dream last night that everyone started shipping Switzerland x Denmark, and the ship was called Swissblade.

Like, I don't know the history or modern-day relationship between these two countries, but the aesthetic looked cool(?) in my dream.

I looked it up, and I can't find content for this ship anywhere. It's like my brain said, "Here, have this!" And then walked away.

And now I can't stop thinking about it.

I started shipping Switzerland x Denmark recently, so I had to create some art for it. I like to call the ship Swissblade. I also had some fun messing around with the different brushes.

I just went through your entire blog and you are such an amazing writer ❤️ if you are taking asks can you do this 1 for me, it’s a bit specific-Can I have a scenario or headcannon of Denmark dating Prussia’s country sisters, they haven’t told her family yet (Prussia, Germany,Switzerland,Liechtenstein,Austria) how would they react to accidentally finding out and maybe all of their reactions to their precious sister (younger than Gil but older than Ludwig)dating the king of Northern Europe?

Knowing how much content is on this blog, I cannot put into words how flattered I am by your compliment! Thank you so much!

Austria:

Roderich considers himself to be one of the "heads" of the family, though you had taught him a long time ago that the title is more a formality at best.

He's honestly a bit surprised by the announcement; he hadn't realised you and Denmark were so close to one another, nor had he even been aware that Denmark was someone who you would be remotely attracted to.

He mentally runs through all he knows about the financial, political, and cultural integrity of your suitor, and reluctantly accepts that Mathius is a decent match for you. He's not too fond of your choice just yet; after all, there is no need for yet another obnoxious rapscallion in this family, thank you.

But knowing that you're comfortable with the Dane? Knowing you're happy and safe?

He offers his congratulations with begrudging playfulness, tempered with just enough of a lighthearted complaint for you to realise he truly is happy for you. When you mime a "thank you" across the table later, he simply nods and offers a proper smile.

Germany:

Ludvig is completely taken aback. He really hadn't considered the possibility of you dating anyone, not for so long anyway. A few dinners here and there, sure. Yet in his lifetime, he had never seen you get too attached to anyone, never seeming to have enough time.

And going steady with Mathius?

Frankly, he's a bit torn- Are you actually happy? Is he happy? How long have you two been waiting for the right time to actually start seeing each other?

But overall, he's happy for you.

He's known Mathius almost his whole life; Hell, sometimes the man had helped raise him when neither you nor Gilbert could.

There's no doubt in his mind that you'll take good care of each other, that no matter how the relationship progresses you will always take care of each other. There's an easy give-and-take between the two of you that he's relieved to see, a familiarity that puts any remaining worries at ease.

He offers a nod of acceptance, some sort of congratulations that he doesn't really process, and later, when he finds Mati trying to raid the fridge at 1 am, a mild and clear threat to the elder should anything untoward happen to you, politics be damned.

Liechtenstein:

Lilli, Mati will confide to you later, is the only member of your family he's actually nervous about telling. Her calm, genteel demeanor always made him feel as if he needs to walk on eggshells around her, as if any "big news" would shatter her. You tell him he's ridiculous.

Lilli takes everything in with a smile that just keeps getting brighter. She's beyond happy for you, knows how busy you've been the past couple centuries. To see you smiling again, dating someone who has such a kind, giving, caring heart? 

She is kind of annoyed how worried he looks about her, keeps glancing towards her all through dinner as if she's fragile and can't handle all of the excitement.

You exchange a bemused eye roll with her, Lilli's smile flickering to slightly more mischievous upon noticing Mati's obliviousness. 

With time, he'll grow to learn the many antics of this family, and judging by the light in his eyes each time he looks at you- 

He'll become quite familiar with the antics, indeed.

Prussia:

It's honestly Gilbert that you're most nervous about. 

He only has a handful of decades on you, and, differences in opinions and personalities aside, he has always had your back, has always been in your corner. 

You had wanted to tell him the minute things started to get serious, but Mati had talked you out of it, insisting that you should tell everyone together; avoid showing any favoritism, and add to the thrill of getting caught for just a little longer. 

For his credit, Gil had seen this coming for ages, honestly expected it to happen a lot earlier. He's a little hurt that both of you kept it from him- Seriously! From him?- but more than that, he's ecstatic. He has unlimited teasing fodder for each of you, and over exaggerates his hurt that neither of you had said anything to him before. 

He teases you for your fretting about him, makes sure that between his hug and suggestive comment in your ear- which earned a not-so-nice punch in the arm- that you're okay, and that he's more than okay with your choice. 

He does casually mention to Mati, during a monthly meet-up with Arthur, that if anything happens to his little sister, he will gladly maim the Dane.

Switzerland:

Basch processes your announcement quietly, likely too quietly based on Lilli's worried glances and your almost crestfallen features. He needs a moment to process though; big announcements and decisions should always be treated with great consideration, and he is wary that you didn't take that time. 

You find him later, hidden under the tree you helped him plant sometime in the 1800s, still weighing his reaction, still deciding how he feels about all of this. 

If Denmark sticks around, Basch will have to contend with a new face, a new person, a new personality. 

But your silence, your feelings, your worry- They're more important right now. 

He shifts, lets you rest your head against his shoulder, allows the nightsong a few moments' serenade. 

"Does he make you happy?" 

His question has you quiet for a few minutes, sorting through the dozens of meanings behind his question, weighing each possible answer you could give him. 

"He does," you finally confide, almost shyly, quiet and secretive. 

He's reassured, pats you on the back. 

"That's good enough for me."

(I would also like to offer my humblest apologies, dear Anon. It was not until I was prepping the final touches of this post that I had noticed your specification about accidentally finding out they were dating. If you would like, I could make another post for that. ^_^; )

Prussia: Gilbert is mainly upset that you felt you needed to hide the relationship from him. Like really? You really thought he would give a shit? He doesn’t have enough energy to give a shit who you date. As long as no one is getting abused and it’s a healthy relationship he literally could not give less of a shit.

Germany: Ludwig feels guilty that he accidentally found out who you’re dating. He lets you know that he supports you and although Mathias isn’t his favorite person in the world, there’s definitely worse people you could be dating. 

Switzerland: Vash is indifferent about learning who you’re dating. Somewhat like Gilbert, he just can’t be bothered to care. Of course, if you ask then he’ll give his opinion of Mathias, but other than that he’ll keep his mouth shut. His opinion is generally negative, mainly because he just doesn’t like how loud Mathias is.

Lichtenstein: Lili is supportive of just about everything and once she finds out you’re dating Mathias she’s ecstatic. He’s outgoing and funny and every time she’s seen him he’s given her little treats. She loves hearing about your dates and the cute little things you two do together.

Austria: Roderich uses every chance he gets to judge people and finding this out is huge fuel for his inner judgement. Really? You chose to date him? He’s slightly vocal about those feelings but he says it in ways that’s not outright offensive. He doesn’t really care that you’re dating Mathias because let’s face it, how much does it really affect him? But nonetheless he’ll still assure you that you could probably do better.

Maybe I’ll consider doing one or two, but I’d rather play to the wallflower ships. - Ships I’ve had a bad experience with. These seem to overlap with incest ships almost entirely so it shouldn’t be a huge thing butttt just in case I’m sticking this bad boy on here. I’m to lazy to list. Thank you for listening to my opinions and preferences. Feel free to send me an ask even if the ship doesn’t fall on my list. As long as it doesn’t make my ‘will not write’ criteria you’re in good shape.

What I won’t write

I will not be writing anything on this blog related to mental disorders, self-harm or suicide. I find those to be really depressing and unnecessary and I want this to be a safe space.

I will not be writing sexual headcanons. They’re just not my thing, I prefer to build on characters instead. 

I will NOT be writing about any recent world events, genocides, political events, or atrocities. It’s wrong and dehumanizes people in those situations. Istg if I had to see one more “Poor aph China” posts during covid I was going to throw my laptop across the room. Hetalia can be used to represent history positively, and I appreciate that, but sympathizing with anime characters rather than real people is a big no for me and thus none of these topics will be discussed on my blog.
