Okay, I have an idea for the series finale of Hetalia.

The episode is longer than the typical five-minute runtime. Think fifteen minutes. We have a fun little story where all the characters we've met throughout the series come together for one last hurrah. Main characters, side characters, one-off characters, etc. Think of it like one big, over-glorified office party.

Italy is making a giant pot of pasta, Germany brought in his dogs (because why not), France, Turkey, and China have a cook-off that England tries desperately to join, Austria and Prussia temporarily set aside their differences to put together a karaoke night, Wy and Kugelmugel teach an art class... Literally everyone has a moment to shine.

And then at one point, in the middle of the party, someone bursts into the room.

"SORRY I'M SO LATE!!!!!" The newcomer shouts.

Everyone turns to see who it is, and it's Korea.

And then the credits roll.

since china is millennia old it stands to reason that he’s moved past the whole “humans get to grow old while countries do not” whimsy dream that younger countries get (maybe just thinks about it casually like one would think about being an animal, there are more negatives than positives), but i sometimes wonder if he sees his smooth, youthful skin and dark hair and wishes there was a least one wrinkle or grey hair there. his culture emphasizes respecting one’s elders, and isn’t he the most elder of all? yet he is physically in his twenties and has to call those around him “auntie and uncle” or the like.

Headcanons:

All of the bird nations have walked straight into a glass door/window at least once.

Wales can breathe fire.

China can control rain and water.

France calls Britain Chaton.

Britain calls France Cock.

Two of the scars on Lithuania's back are where his wings used to be.

Latvia has gotten in trouble with Russia a few times for forgetting that he's the only one who can fly and putting things up where no one else can reach them.

Most of the nations know how to sew so they can alter their clothes to accommodate their animal features.

Britain has, on occasion, locked eyes with France while eating chicken.

There is at least one video on YouTube titled Nations VS Glass that's just the consequences of the bird nations not being able to see glass.

Romano can say he doesn't care when you say something nice about him, but he can't hide his tail wagging.

It's a good idea to be careful around Veneziano when he's happy/excited unless you want to accidentally be beaten half to death with his tail. Something Germany and Japan found out the hard way.

Just like house cats, the lions will occasionally often knock things off tables/countertops.

Poland likes to call Lithuania Pretty Bird. Lithuania blushes bright red every time.

Spain is a bull. Of course he has a septum piercing.

France owns a laser pointer specifically for messing with Britain.

Romano used to pull Spain's tail whenever he wanted attention.

Britain's brothers pull his tail a lot just to get on his nerves.

Never forget how when Italy first introduced Romano to Germany in the English dub, he did so by saying, "Since we've always been governed separately, he had to spend more time with our big brother Spain, so he's become kind of a dick!"

Italy, in canon, insulted his older brother to his face while introducing him to someone. And with a smile, I might add.
