1-800-got-stress | jeon wonwoo
pairing: jeon wonwoo x reader
warnings: non-idol au, college/professor au, slight romance (?), english professor wonwoo x teacher's assistant reader, tiny sprinkles of humor, one-sided crush (?), wonwoo is very dense when it comes to reader's romantic feelings (not really though), reader still loves him anyways, cute ending??
now playing: return of the mack, mack morrison
dedicated to: @k1eev (<3)
"After the lecture, I want you all to come see my assistant before you leave. She has the next module printed out and organized for you all." Wonwoo's deep voice is the next thing you hear once you snap back into reality, and many of the college student's eyes dart away from you as you look around, more than likely aware of how long you've been gaping at the English professor.
Jeon Wonwoo was the person always on your mind nowâever since you started as his teacher's assistant earlier this month, you've always been thinking about him.
He was everything you weren'tâcalm, professional, disciplined and put-together. He knew what to say and how to say it, and what to do and how to do itâyou were ninety-nine percent convinced that there was nothing Wonwoo couldn't do.
Not only was he annoyingly perfect at his job, but he was annoyingly handsome tooâhe was handsome to a massive amount of people, students and other professors included. He had sharp eyes that seemed to grow even sharper with the perfect amount of tiredness, and hard-edged features that you had memorized now with how much you had stared at him when he worked.
Time went slow as Wonwoo talked, deep voice echoing through the lecture hall as he gave his presentation on the deeper story of Romeo and Juliet, asking his class questions as he gaged their attention span.
You thought about how nervous you would feel under Wonwoo's gaze. Your face just heated up at it, imagining how you wouldn't be able to look him in the face without feeling completely inadequate.
It was already hard for you to look him in the face, and you were his personal assistant.
"Please finish the last essay I assigned at the beginning of the month. Since we're starting a new module this Friday, I want everyone to be on the same page." Wonwoo's voice was monotonous as students started to pack their things, and you placed the stack of module papers on the desk, letting the students grab and go.
The class filtered out slowly, some staying behind to ask Wonwoo questions and garner advice from him. You watched them quietly, straightening the closet as you dipped in and out of their conversations.
You had just heard another professor enter the room, asking Wonwoo to go out with her tonight for a drink, (to which he politely refused), when Wonwoo had addressed you.
"Are you doing alright? You've looked really tired today." Wonwoo's thick, stern eyebrows are flat as he stares at you blankly, and you try to read his sharp eyes for any flicker of emotion for a quick second, giving up as you give him an awkward smile.
"Oh, I'm fine, Mr. Jeon. I'm not even tiredâjust a bit distracted, that's all." You reassure him, and Wonwoo nods, looking down at his watch as you finish straightening up your desk.
"You should get some rest. It's not good for you to be tired and trying to assist me, is it?" Wonwoo has a faint smile on his lips when he says this, and you try not to blush or melt under his hot gaze against your skin, fiddling with your collar awkwardly as you nod.
"Here, let me help you with those." Wonwoo's voice is directed to the stack of heavy books teetering on the end of your desk. You nod to him gratefully, allowing him to pick them up as you walk to the other side of the room, unlocking the storage closet door.
He held the books without strain, face still as he waited for you to finish putting your share of books down. Wonwoo followed you, cologne wafting in the air and drifting under your nose as he turned off the lights.
"Thank you for today. You did very well." Wonwoo's voice was sweet as he smiled at you, and you returned the gesture stiffly, making your way back to the desk as you grabbed your things.
"Of course, Mr. Jeon. You did well too, I meanâyou did well with the lectures and everything. You teach everything in such a fresh way, it's tough for anyone to not be compelled or interested in what you're teaching." You were a sucker for Jeon Wonwoo, and it was starting to show more and more nowâhow were you supposed to be normal about him?
"It takes a lot to make the lecture engaging and informative, so I'm glad you think that of me. Many students call me the boring teacher." Wonwoo's voice is lighthearted as he finishes straightening up his desk, and you chuckle, mostly at the absurdity of his words.
"You're quite the opposite of a boring teacher, in my opinion. Your stories and explanations are way more animated than the textbooks could be." Were you showering your superior-turned-crush with embellished compliments? Yes. Did you want him to notice?
...Not really.
"You sure do have a lot to think about me, don't you?" Wonwoo's voice is still playful, even if it has a neutralness to it. You blush slightly at his words, earning a smile from Wonwoo as he smiles. "I'm just teasing you. I appreciate everything you say to me."
A slight pink tint to Wonwoo's cheeks brings an even brighter one to yours, and the two of you fall silent, obviously sensing something between you. Wonwoo's eyes rake over your form, and you shyly look up at him, dark brown eyes behind his frame still making you warm inside as you sigh (dreamily and deliriously, as you might add).
You had made WonwooâProfessor Jeon Wonwoo, the boring, scarily neutral English professorâblush from your compliments. You would be wallowing in your achievement if you weren't also blushing at the moment.
"Well, I, uhâ" You stumble over your words, also stumbling over your book as you pick it up from the floor. Wonwoo watches you quietly, glasses sliding down his strong nose bridge slightly as he watches you head towards the door. "I should get going. It's getting late, and I have to be back here early tomorrow."
"I'll walk you to your car." Wonwoo nods, following suit as he slips his jacket over his broad shoulders and picks up his briefcase. His dress shoes hit the wooden floor as he follows after you, and he turns out the light, leaving you two engulfed in darkness for a few seconds as you stumble back, stepping on Wonwoo's foot.
He grunts harshly under you, and you scramble back, lights in the hallway illuminating your embarrassed blush. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry."
Wonwoo just smiles again, smile lines sending butterflies that go straight to your stomach. "No worries. You couldn't see because of me, and I'm sorry." His cologne is so strong and so him you can't think straight, but you do your best to string your words together.
"Well, Mr. Jeon, I'll see you tomorrow," The two of you had just left the building, now by your car as you unlock the door. Wonwoo watches you with sharp eyes, clearing his throat as you turn to him.
"IfâIf you'd like, we should converse over dinner sometime. Not as coworkers, but as good friends." Wonwoo's sentence brought a rude awakening to your world, and you stood in shocked silence for a second, processing what he said to you as you blinked blankly.
Wonwoo considered you to be a good friendâyou would have never told by how unfazed he was by most things, but he considered you to be more than a coworker or partner. He saw you as a friend. A good friend who was asking you to dinner.
"Yeah, weâwe should, Mr. Jeon." You agree, and Wonwoo clears his throat, sharp eyes daring away as he adds, "Oh, and you can call me Wonwoo. We're comfortable with each other now, so we can drop the formalities."
Not only were you Wonwoo's good friend, but you were such a good friend you could now call Mr. Jeon by his real name, Wonwoo. Too many green flags were going off in your head, but could Wonwoo sense he was giving you all these green flags? It only made your crush on him worse.
"Well, I'll get going, Wonwoo." Even his name on your lips felt sweet, and Wonwoo nodded, giving you a small wave as he closed your car door.
"Until tomorrow." He smiles softly again, and you melt into your seat, smiling as you nod back. "Until tomorrow."

soulmate hanta who is completely oblivious to that fact that he is your soulmate. everybody is born with a soulmate mark, a scribble of words that are the first words your soulmate utters to you placed somewhere along your hip. hanta sero who is nonchalant and chill about things that he doesn't realise he's already met his soulmate. they met on the first day of ua and he didn't even notice, and you... well you noticed but how could you tell him.
everyone's going around introducing themselves, he doesn't introduce himself though. your bag was neatly tucked away under your desk, already ready to start class when hanta somehow tripped over it, he caught himself in the last minute
"fuck, that could've gone really bad." he grinned at you and you were too stunned to speak, your body felt warm, like fireworks exploding and the warmth left over from sparklers their bright vivid colours flowing through you, you found your soulmate. you didn't get the chance to reply to him, an authoritative voice started speaking, aizawa sensei, and then class started.
you tried really bad to talk to him but he oozed of confidence and friendless, if the roles were reversed and you tripped over his bag you don't even think you would of been able to say something, you'd probably just rush off in embarrassment. he jokes around with everyone and you fade away in the background, you didn't even mean to, it wasn't your intention, you told yourself that when you started ua and started the hero course you'd put yourself out there more but that changed when the idea of talking to your soulmate was so daunting.
soulmate hanta who lays in his hammock with his arm of his face, groaning because you are just so adorable! and you won't talk to him, you're quiet anyway but around him it's like you don't say anything. he doesn't even know if he's ever heard you talk. he frowns at the idea that you won't talk to him because you don't like him, he wants you to like him, he wants you to talk to him! everything about you leaves him in a tizzy- the way you smile, your laugh, your anime pins stuck to your bag, how you got bakugou to open up to you even before kirishima. he can't explain it but he just wants to be near you.
you want to be near him, you want to ask him about his favourite manga, you want to know more about him but you conclude your soulmate wants nothing to do with you. you've only spoken to him once, a month into meeting each other, and he didn't say anything about your mark. he didn't have any reaction. you were talking to bakugou, arguing over who did better in the practical today out of the two of you and you're too involved in proving that you were better that you don't realise hanta and kaminari have walked up to you both. you've spoken to kaminari on a couple of occasions he's nice but a bit too complimentary to girls for your liking and you haven't said one single word to hanta, overthinking every little thing. "oi, you two which one of us was stronger today in our practical?" bakugou shouts over to them.
you don't remember kaminari's response, you remember hanta's, "i mean you're good bakugou but she's miles ahead of you." your heart soars, you don't think you've ever been so happy in your life. shouting ensues, lots of shouting, bakugou calling hanta blind and various other insults.
over all that you say, "thanks sero, you were great too," the end of your sentence gets quieter and you stutter more. they can barely hear you over all the shouting. hanta doesn't look at you or make any acknowledge of what you just said, like 'oh hey, that's what my soulmate mark says' nothing. he heard you but he didn't want anything to do with you. the rejection hurt but you knew something like this would happen, you never expected him to like you but you would've liked him to say something like 'i'm not interested but i still want to be friends with you.'
the lack of any acknowledge on his behalf made it clear to you and you don't want to disrespect his wishes, if he doesn't want to get to know you then you won't force yourself into his life. what you didn't realise is your soulmate didn't even hear what you said... he didn't reject you at all he just didn't hear.
five minutes beforehand he was almost dragging denki by his sleeve over to you and bakugou because he wants to talk to you. he's had this warm fuzzy feeling from the first moment he's seen you and it's just grown and grown.
soulmate hanta is buzzing now that everyone is moving into dorms because surely that means you'll have to talk to him.
soulmate hanta who inserts himself into your life. that anime pin on your bag? he's asking if you've read the manga. he's making teasing jabs at bakugou with you about how his cooking for everyone gives it away that he loves all of the class, bakugou always tells him to fuck off and you have a fit of giggles. he gives you ideas when he can see you're struggling and hit a road block with your hero costume support items. he'll swing you with him to the roof of tallest towers in the city and talk for hours until the sun comes up about the future and plans for being a pro. he's loud and sociable and brings you out of your shell to speak up when he can see that you want but are too afraid to, he's there to give you a push but also relax with you in the dorms when he can tell that you don't have the energy for everyone. he'll bring snacks and you'll watch films and he'll speak to you gently and soothingly that puts your mind at ease when you get overwhelmed. he'll read you manga while you rest your head on his lap and you'll get overly competitive when it comes to mario kart.
you don't understand why your soulmate had this change of mindset about you, maybe it's because you're all living together but now you have him in your life you're not jeopardising that. the time you share with everyone is amazing, and the time you and hanta share with everyone is amazing but when you're just together alone that amazing turns into perfection. you want to bottle up those moments with a glass and keep them forever.
falling in love with hanta didn't surprise you, you knew it would happen sooner or later. you never spoke to each other about being soulmates or relationships (you thought you knew why) you didn't engage in conversations with the rest of the class about it either. you didn't want to put hanta on the spot like that, 'yeah, i've found my soulmate guys, i spend every day with him but he rejected me. oh look! here he comes now, hi sero!' you were wrong though. it didn't happen like you thought it did.
soulmate hanta who isn't just called 'hanta' in your head but when you speak to him or about him, after eight years of knowing each other you've gotten past the use of family names. the first time he heard you speak it his heart skipped a beat. your heads were pressed together and you were under a blanket asleep. you both drifted off at some point during film night, it was time for you both to start joint patrol so you woke him up, whispering his name. you joined the same agency so that meant you liked doing as much joint patrol with each other as possible.
soulmate hanta who's never been in a relationship before and is a complete virgin. he doesn't care about other girls, not even to look their way for a night, all he cares about is you. the idea of even dating a girl riddles him with guilt over how he wishes it was you. hanta is fully aware that you've never been in a relationship either.
soulmate hanta can't bare to look you in the eyes and hear about the person you love or how you're yearning to find your soulmate. he couldn't bare that pain. the idea that you have someone out there- it kills him. in that sense he's insecure, he knows he should be supportive and ask about your soulmate, it seems that every other person has had at least one conversation about it but he just can't. you've never even had a relationship and he knows he should ask why but then you might ask him the same question and the reason would be- you.
the thought that his words may be written on your hip never cross his mind, he's never been in denial that he loves you but he never thought it was reciprocated.
the thought that he himself has a soulmate never, even for a second, flits through in his mind. he doesn't think he's met them and he doesn't care if he does. they won't be you.

The lowly bailiff brings me back to 2CrewHQ where I'm brought to a line up of possum lawyers, I pick the scrambliest and quickly leaving before John begins talking about Tucker and his ex wife again.
I learn my lawyer is not the Pawpaw but a relative, his sister cousin, called Faux-paw. We go over my case until the bailiff Jean returns and leads us to the courtroom.
I stand before Justices Murphy, Axford and - to my surprise - Oyama. Before court begins Justice Murphy takes the chance to call me a 'Jabroni' for thinking they didn't have a backup prepared for Caldwell's absence. Zac was coming on anyway before Caldwell took an early leave.
Court begins. The judges start by figuring out where our factions are at. Justice Oyama says 'she seems chill' and surprisingly Axford agrees to which Justice Murphy calls them 'absolute maniacs'. I'm suddenly feeling fairly confident about this trail.
But then the witness is brought forward. Bailiff Joe guides them from the back and before they take the stand they pause at my desk. Oh shit it's the Grinch. Wearing a comical amount of casts and bandages to really over exaggerate the damage I did in our scuffle. He leans over and whispers "After we're done here you're in for a first class Grinching"
This is my chance. With Caldwell's sudden absence the rest of the two crew are scrambling for content, they're distracted. I sneak into 2CrewHQ crawling through the vents until I drop into Murphs office. I reach for his laptop, I know his password: 'wormwife', it's time to rewrite his C3 finale notes.
A hand stops mine as the laptop is almost in my grasp. I look up and see a security guard, the only one I missed. He's wearing an impeccable Jim Carrey Grinch costume, or heck...

DUST OF US #DRABBLE - HOW YOU MET HIM
> synopsis: 7 years ago Y/N broke Jungkookâs heart when she decided to end their relationship without an explanation. When they meet again at a friend's wedding, after almost a decade, Jungkook needs answers to move on.
> pairing: Jungkook x reader
> genre: romance, ex to lovers au
> warnings: explicit languages, violence, smut, cheating, nsfw, angst, +18 minors dni !!
> word count: 1046
MAIN STORY HERE.
*french writer, i apologize in advance for my awful english!
AGE: 16 years old.
âDo you know that girl?â Jungkook asks Jimin as he sits beside him in class, and throws his backpack at his feet. Jimin arches a brow.
âWhich one?â Jimin replies, scanning the classroom with his eyes. Jimin is popular in their high school. Not only is he handsome, but also really nice and charming, and for good reason.
Jungkook gained popularity shortly after Jimin, mostly because heâs Jiminâs best friend and also for his shy, cute bunny smile. Jungkook continues, pointing to the girl sitting next to the window in the last row.
âY/N? The girl who got in a fight earlier?â Jimin frowns, his eyes fixed on you as you stuff a tissue into your bloody nose. Jungkook nods, his doe-like eyes falling on you too. He was there when you threw your tray at a girl who had tried to bully you.
He followed the scene from a distance. That girl came straight to you, screaming, mostly to get everyoneâs attention. Apparently, the fight was about the girl's boyfriend cheating on her with you, but Jungkook didn't really understand the situation.
It was crazy for Jungkook. He had only kissed a girl once. He found it unimaginable that two sixteen-year-old girls would fight over one sleeping with the other's boyfriend. Well, he knew that most of the girls now were bolder than in his parentsâ years.
However, that still wasnât a good reason for the girl to grab your face and shove it into your food. Although he opposed violence, he couldnât help but feel a small sense of satisfaction when you hit her with your tray, jumped over the table, and started throwing punches at her face.
He couldn't deny being impressed by your ferocity. Like every other student, he watched you two fought on the floor until two professors intervened to separate you.
Despite being restrained by the professor, who was blocking both your arms, you still had a fistful of her hair and tried to kick her with your foot, while she coughed on the floor.
âY/Nâ Jungkook repeats your name as Jimin raises an eyebrow.
âWhy?â Jimin questions, turning his attention back to his friend. âHonestly, itâs the first time I have heard something like that about her. Y/N is usually calm and drama-free,â Jimin continues, as Jungkook nods, his eyes still on you, and you feel it, turning your gaze to him before frowning.
His eyes widen, and he quickly looks down at his table. When he shyly glances up again, youâre already gone from your seat, and his brows furrow in a frown as he searches for you with his brown eyes, only to find you stepping out of the class, leaving your stuff at your table. At least youâll come back, he thinks.
âKookie!â Jimin calls out loud to Jungkook, who turns to him, âArenât you coming with us? Weâre going to grab some snacks and head to Hongdae.â
Jungkook scrunches up his nose, shaking his head. He likes arcades, like every boy his age. However, he doesn't know half of the people in the group with Jimin. He's aware that the girl with short light hair, hopelessly looking at him for a positive answer, is trying to flirt with him.
He hates feeling uncomfortable when he's supposed to be enjoying himself with his friends. Jungkook is also too nice to simply tell her heâs not interested. He has homework to finish anyway.
After waving at his friend, he starts to make his way home. Heâll probably be alone. His parents are working, and his brother left for college a while ago. After grabbing a snack at the convenient store, he ends up sitting on a bench at the park, a spot he sometimes stops at with Jimin. Then, he sees you, and his eyes widen as he watches you with a little boy. Is he yours? He chuckles at himself.
The boy seems four or five years old. It was dumb of him to even think that. With a slight smile on his lips, he doesn't even notice that youâve seen him too. You ruffle the boy's hair before letting him run off to play with the other kids, then make your way to him. Only now does he notice the bruise under your left eye.
âWhat are you looking at, chestnut?â You call him out, and he freezes, mumbling something as he nearly drops his chocolate bar.
âI- Wh- Me?â Jungkook babbles in a small voice as you stop right in front of him, hands in your pockets.
âDo you see anyone else around here with such a ridiculous haircut?â You raise a brow, and his cheeks flush as he tries to fix his hair, but it only makes it worseâand he knows it. âItâs the second time I catch you staring at me. What do you want?â You ask, folding your arms across your chest. His eyes fall on his shoes.
âNothing.â He mumbles, avoiding your gaze. You sense his discomfort. Heâs clearly not part of the group of friends of the girl you beat up earlier. Thatâs enough to make your features relax slightly.
âIâm Y/Nâ, you say, more gently this time, offering your hand.
âJungkook.â He smiles softly, meeting your eyes and shaking your hand.
âI know. Everyone knows you, Jungkook.â you chuckle. He sighs, rolling his eyes.
âUnfortunately.â
âYou donât like being the prince of our school?â You tease him as he rolls his eyes, taking a bite of his chocolate bar.
âIt's Jimin's title, not mine.â He corrects you. You always get their names mixed up, even though you know them, since you havenât paid much attention to whoâs who. His eyes fall back on your black eye. âThatâs a colorful one,â he says, attempting to make conversation, though the words sound stupid as soon as they leave his mouth.
It was probably too bold of him, and you probably hate him now. But to his surprise, you smirk and brush the bruise under your eye.
You raise your shoulders, sit next to him, âShe got worse.â
âYeah, I saw the hair and blood on the floor.â he grins, shaking his head. When you laugh, he feels something new stir inside his chestâsomething heâs never felt before.

Close your eyes.
The handsome stranger whispered in your ear as he gently took your hands in his, bringing you closer to his warm body, swaying you softly.
The music was anything but soft, the crowd of sweaty bodies moved much faster than the two of you did, stuck in a moment of slow motion where it seemed like time had stopped and only you and him existed.
"What's your name?" you had asked as his cheek pressed against yours.
"Hyunjin." he had whispered, the name rolling off your tongue easily then, the feeling was right, like it was meant to be, like you were destined to slow dance with this beautiful man in a rowdy club.
Your name rolled off his tongue equally as easily, from the moment he whispered it into your ear, it was already written into his heart.
You hadn't seen him for months since that night, having to help out your drunk friend, you rushed away from him, leaving him standing there as he stared after you wistfully.
As days passed by, he plagued your mind less and less and you were sure you'd never run into him again, that you'd forget him even though his name still rolled off your tongue easily, whenever your hand would travel between your legs.
The soft touch of his lips as he kissed your temple was something you couldn't forget.
He never asked to kiss your lips, never touched your waist, never looked at you like you were just a piece of meat to take home and forget in the morning.
No, he held your hands close to his heart like he needed you to feel it beating, his eyes gazing at yours like you were some kind of wonder and that too you could never forget.
Close your eyes.
Hyunjin had whispered, startling you as you concentrated on your canvas.
"What is it now?" you chuckled, still in disbelief that you ran into him of all people, in a random painting class you decided to take, him as the teacher of it.
"Do you trust me?" his breath tickled your ear as he stood behind you.
"I do." you nodded, a sense of safety enveloping you.
"Let your heart guide your hand." he whispered, his lips grazing your ear as he took your hand in his, guiding it over the canvas before he let it go, still hovering behind you as your eyebrows knitted together in concentration.
"It's so wonky." you laugh at the painting and Hyunjin giggles as he stands next to you.
"Give it some time and it'll all fall into place."
Somehow, you knew his words had double meaning.
Close your eyes.
Hyunjin had chuckled excitedly as you celebrated your birthday with him.
Something was placed in your hands and your fingers ran over it, feeling the texture of dried paint.
He had painted something for you and your heart swelled at the thought.
"You can look."
Your eyes fluttered open and you stared at a painting of you, in a field of flowers, your body bathed in the sun, your dress flowing around you, almost as if you were dancing.
You were happy, your head lifted towards the sky as you smiled with your eyes closed taking in the warmth of the sun.
"H-Hyunjin..." your eyes teared up.
"That's how I see you, y/n."
"What are you trying to say?" you whisper.
"I love you." he says it so easily like he said it a hundred times before, maybe in another lifetime.
Your heart explodes as your hands tremble, tears of happiness sliding down your cheeks.
"Close your eyes. I wanna give you my other present."
You feel his soft lips press into yours and your heart flutters as your hands find each other, fingers entwined.
"I love you." you whisper against his lips.
Again and again, you exchange your love with your lips, craving him more and more with each touch, never wanting to be away from him.
Close your eyes.
Your lover had whispered with a seductive smirk on his face, his eyes dark and narrowed at you.
Your hands were carefully bound together with satin rope and as soon as you obeyed his command, fluttering your eyes shut, Hyunjin gently placed a blindfold over your eyes.
The world around you disappeared in that moment, your only guidance was through Hyunjin, your entire trust put in his hands.
You couldn't see it but there was so much love in Hyunjin's eyes, seeing you be so vunerable with him ignited a fire in his heart that made him believe he was going to love you forever.
Anticipation built up inside you as his slender fingers danced on your soft skin, teasing you before you heard some shuffling and then the bed dipped again.
The rose he brought earlier was gently pressed against your cheek, caressing you, the gentle petals making contact with your soft lips.
A quiet gasp left your lips as Hyunjin slid the rose on your neck down to your breasts, pressing the flower softly into your nipples.
"Hyu-"
"Shh." he shushed you as he continued stimulating your nipple with the soft flower.
Your whole body was worshipped slowly and teasingly until you were dripping sweet juices, trembling and begging for him to touch you where you need him the most.
Hyunjin had waited with a smirk, teasing you with light brushes of the rose over your center before he pressed it against your core.
A loud whimper left your swollen lips, bruised with the way you were biting at them as Hyunjin made you grind against the flower.
"It's okay, doll. Let go for me."
"I- I can't." you needed more, more pressure, more movement, more of him.
"I know you can." he wanted you to cum on the rose, not caring how long it'll take you to get yourself there.
You struggled, your tears gathering at the blindfold, Hyunjin decided to show you some mercy as he leaned down and wrapped his lips around your nipple, his hand moving the rose faster against you.
Euphoria took over your senses, every touch of his felt heightened and you exploded, spilling on the flower.
"Beautiful." Hyunjin sighed against your lips before kissing you breathless.
Close your eyes.
You said to him, this time he was the one with his hands tied, splayed on the bed and looking pretty for you.
You put the blindfold on him, securing it in a knot before you leaned down to place a kiss on his lips.
"Relax, my love." you said, noticing by his body language that he was a little nervous.
Your hands were gentle on his body, your lips even more so and Hyunjin was soon melting into the bed, almost forgetting what's about to come.
"I'll be right back." you disappeared suddenly, his chest heaving as he throbbed in arousal, desperate for more.
Hyunjin listened to the sounds of shuffling before you finally settled above him again, taking one half-melted ice cube in your hand.
A shaky breath left his lips as you placed it on the side of his neck, slowly sliding it down to his collarbone, pressing the ice into his hot skin.
When it melted on him, you grabbed another one, sliding it over his nipples as he breathed hard, his middle lifting up towards you, his length twitching and leaking, begging for attention.
You repeated the process over and over again, teasing his body and watching goosebumps rise on his skin.
With your mouth cold from an ice cube you let dissolve on your tongue, you took his hot length in, making Hyunjin's legs tremble.
Hyunjin begged and whimpered as you continued, not stopping for a moment until you've milked him completely.
"I love you." he kissed your fingertips when you untied his hands.
"I love you." you whispered, kissing the corners of his lips.
Close your eyes.
You shut your eyes tightly, in an attempt to stop the tears from falling.
When did everything go wrong?
You had no answer to that question but you knew deep down it wasn't the same as before.
And he knew it too.
"I can't keep doing this." you couldn't stop the tears, not after another fight.
"Me neither." he said quietly, avoiding your eyes.
"Maybe it's best if we took a break." you suggested, not capable of saying you're leaving him.
"Yeah, maybe it is." he said, and finally glanced up at you, breaking your heart with the look in his eyes.
"You know I love you, right?" his lips trembled.
"I know. I love you too. But sometimes love isn't enough." you had answered, watching his figure disappear down the street after he kissed you goodbye.
It was the last kiss you shared.
Close your eyes.
You said to yourself, just to calm your nerves before blind date your friends put you up to.
With eyes shut tight, you tried to envision a peaceful memory, something to soothe your anxiety and involuntarily your mind drifted to him.
It was only in snippets now, sometimes you'd remember Hyunjin's touch, his laugh or the late night talks you shared, imagining your future together.
A future that never happened as he faded away into the past.
Sometimes you'd remember the pain you felt as you watched him walk away on that night two years ago.
As you opened your eyes, your heart jumped out of your chest as you saw him standing in front of the café, looking at his watch before he glanced up at you.
A shocked expression on his face mirrored yours, and though you wanted to flee the scene, your legs led you to him.
Maybe fate has more in store for the two of you.
Or maybe it was all plotted by your friends.
Close your eyes.
Then open them once again.
To make sure this isn't just a dream.

Hi, pinkie!! This may be weird but happy birthday :D wishing you all the best things and wishes đ«¶đ»
(Silly Hobie wishes you happy birthday as well)
(Look at him being silly)
Like The Movies
Hobie Brown x fem! reader (college au)
Hi my love! đ€ Thank you so much for the well wishes. It isn't weird!! đ Who told you that?? As promised, "loser" Hobie to celebrate. (I love my silly little guy. I'm putting him in my pocket).
I just want to say, to everyone who asked what would happen if I didn't win ( @hyperfix-wip )- I guess we'll never know đ€·ââïž
word count: 1,7k+
cw: dorks, the lot of them
~
The smell of butter soaked popcorn has been stuck to Hobieâs clothes for hours now. Along with a straining headache. Rubbing his temples he tries to focus on the ugly red carpet instead of the screen at the cash register.
Ten more minutes then he was home free. Excluding the quick stop he was going to make to the video game store across the mall. The missing piece for his game cube was finally in stock.
He was debating grabbing pizza from the food court too but with his roommate gone for the weekend what was the point? Hobie really wishes Ned well but heâs disappointed that heâll be spending his time off without his best friend.
Itâs times like these that he wishes he was closer to his family. Deciding and then being accepted to attend university here in New York is a mixed blessing.
Heâs learning incredible things, meeting new people, and living on his own. On the other hand, heâs still new to the US and its customs.
Itâs exhausting after a while and he canât even be comforted by anything other than the things he brought with him from Camden.
A beep from his watch alerts him that his shift is over and Hobie doesnât waste a second in clocking out and discarding the thing he calls a uniform. Heâs still polite of course. Says his goodbyes and wishes everyone a happy holiday despite not celebrating Thanksgiving himself.
He must look tired because most shoppers steer clear of him. At the most heâll receive two or three compliments on his outfit. Or maybe theyâre just preoccupied with the sales and discounts going on in various stores.
He mutters an apology as he brushes past a group to step inside the brightly colored store with posters and ads for the newest game. Hobie has learned Christmas lights in November is normal. He cringes as he hears a popular pop song play through the speakers. Itâs maybe the twentieth time today heâs listened to it.
âHobie, hey! Give me a sec.â Ganke pushes his glasses up the bridge of his nose. Gesturing to the box Hobie presumes holds his order. âIâll ring you up as soon as I can.â
âCourse, no rush.â
And Hobie means that sincerely. Thereâs more than four customers in line with a dozen more circling figures and t-shirts. He may be tired but he knows well enough how demanding customer service can be.
To add a little more reassurance to Gankeâs mind, Hobie points to a random section of games. âI wanted to take a look around anyway.â
Ganke nods with a grin that never seems to fall from his face.
Hobie would consider this store his second home. He is on a first name basis with Ganke and he was even invited out by the younger boy to a flea market. They both shared a love for retro and vintage. Hobie met a friend of his too, Miles. It was the most fun heâs had since his arrival in August.
A sigh leaves his lips as the section he had planned to browse is blocked by a group of teenagers and yes, he himself is a teenager but something about American air made people lose their common courtesy.
He spins, planning to give up and just wait by the counter when something smacks into his chest. Not hard but definitely strong enough that the person who walked into him is sent stumbling back.
An apology spills from his lips and heâs met with one himself. The air from his lungs leaves his chest as he comes face to face with a girl. He knows you.
He knows because he shares a music composition class with you. He remembers because he embarrassed himself in front of the class. Hobieâs only ever written baselines so orchestral music has been a struggle for him.
âWhy are you sorry?â You laugh softly. Fixing the bag on your shoulder full of pins and charms. âI bumped into you.â
âAre you ok?â You ask and Hobie isnât sure what to do next.
Heâs mortified that the only interactions heâs had with you (which are far and few) are so embarrassing.
Hobie may or may not think youâre cute. It would be stupid of him not to notice you.
Itâs not like he has a chance with such a pretty girl but he can at least not look like a fool in front of you every chance he gets.
âUh yeah,â he falters, âIâm fine. Are youâŠok?â
âMe?â You point to yourself in confusion.
âYeah,â he repeats. âDid I nick you or something?â
âOh.â You laugh again as you take in the patches and safety pins on his vest. âI think weâre good.â
When you stand on the tips of your toes Hobie understands what you mean and his ears grow hot with embarrassment.
Hobie is aware heâs tall enough to be a basketball player but compared to you heâs never realized quite how tall he is.
You smile and think about how cute his reaction is. Hobie isnât shy, not by any means. Youâve seen him with his friends around campus. But you can understand how being out of your element can leave you walking on eggshells.
Classical music is the soul of your being. Movie scores to be more specific, not to mention game sources. You havenât quite decided what route to take but for now youâre content with going back to the basics and writing Bach inspired pieces.
âHey, I really liked your presentation. Did you get a good score?â
âI did, yeah.â
Hobie thinks you must be lying to avoid making him feel bad. The professor too because he earned almost full marks.
He doesnât understand why when his piece was soâŠawful. Nothing like yours or Flash Thompsonâs.
âThatâs great! I liked the third movement. It reminded me of umâŠâ You snapped your fingers. âBowserâs theme. You know, from the first Mario game?â
Hobie doesnât mean to, he really doesnât, but he laughs.
âWhat? Iâm serious!â You grin as you reach for your phone. Insistent to make your point and be proven right.
âYou canât be.â Hobie almost guffaws. âIt was a dumpster fire!â
âWas not!â You argue. Bringing your phone up to his ear after furiously typing.
Hobie looks at you in surprise. Stuck between your outstretched hand and your determined face. After a supportive nod from you and a smile he slowly leans down to listen.
You pause on certain points of the video. Rambling on about concepts the two of you have learned but obviously you know better.
The video takes exactly three minutes and fifty three seconds but you managed to lengthen the amount of time it would normally take to finish and soon enough he realizes youâre not just cute. Youâre cute and you like games.
You werenât trying to make him feel better you were making honest and valid points.
Now he feels like an ass for laughing so heâs quick to wave his white flag in surrender.
âAlright, alright. You win love. Has anyone ever told you youâre a bold little thing?â
âI have been called that on occasion, yes.â
Hobie hums. His lips tugging into a smile. âDonât ever change.â
Butterflies erupt in your stomach as you return his smile. âI wonât, promise.â
âWhat are you in here for if you donât mind me asking? Aside from analyzing my music.â
âI donât mind at all,â you answer. Feeling giddy. âThereâs a poster Iâve been looking for and- tada.â
Hobie chuckles at the glee on your face as you hold up your prize.
âIs that right? Congratulations.â
âThank you kind sir,â you giggle. âI was just heading over to pay when I bumped into you.â
âGuess it was a good thing I kept you occupied,â Hobie replies. âLine is gone now.â
You turn your head. Peeking over his shoulder to see the register is indeed free now.
âIt appears so.â You tap his shoulder with the end of the rolled up poster. âThank you again. Youâve done me a great honor sir.â
You relish in how much youâve made Hobie laugh in the last few minutes youâve talked. Youâre disappointed this all has to end now.
Hobie snickers before bowing mockingly. âAfter you.â
You curtsey in return before walking over to Ganke. Youâve seen him a few times. Normally you come to the mall on weekends not weekdays but with the holidays coming up you had a few days off. Best to take advantage right?
Declining a bag you wait patiently for Ganke to finish the transaction but then he interrupts you from paying.
âWait hold on, you have a birthday reward today.â
âDo I? Huh, I didnât know the store had one.â
âWell, now your total comes down to less than ten dollars.â
âSweet! Thank you.â
You step aside, thankful for Gankeâs chatty behavior because it give you an excuse to stay though Hobieâs own purchase. Both boys including you in their conversation about Hobieâs soon to be fully functioning game cube. Then youâre both walking out the door.
âSoâŠâ Hobie clicks his tongue. Anxious as the plastic bag he carries weighs down his hand. âWhere are you off to now? Friends waiting at that nice restaurant?â
You shake your head, pointing to the direction of the movie theater. âNope, thereâs a screening for one of my favorite movies. It starts in aboutâŠten minutes.â
Hobieâs eyebrows raise. âBy yourself?â
âMhm, was just killing some time.â
Hobie is at a loss for words. Spending your birthday alone sounds cruel. You deserve to have cake and giftsâthe whole package. However itâs then that Hobie realizes he isnât the only one who could be away from home.
âMind if I come with you?â He blurts out.
Your eyes widen and in your stunned silence you feel the excitement build.
âYes- I would love that!â
Gingerly clasping your hands together you happily tug him along. Explaining what movie you had bought a ticket for. Outwardly wondering if there were still seats available.
Hobie doesnât feel dread walking back to the theater. He isnât even upset when he smells popcorn again. With a soft smile he keeps his eyes on you. Only getting annoyed when his co-workers whistle behind his back and make exaggerated faces.

When Jason starts to prioritize cooperation as well as vengeance, Tim suspects Jason's self-control still isn't that great. Since he's Tim, well...
He conducts some tests.
Hood is about to murder someone that they need information from when Tim calls out, "Hey, Hood, has anyone ever told you that you're a Decepticon wannabe who probably fucks himself to the sound of his own robot voice?"
Hood stills.
The drug dealer who sold tenth-grader Benny Garcia fentanyl gapes in a way that shows off his recently-missing teeth.
Hood drops the dealer in a heap and turns his shitkicker combat boots in Tim's direction.
Tim bolts. Batman will swoop in to continue the dealer's interrogation; he and Hood have figured out a good-cop-bad-cop thing, though Batman still seems bemused about the chance to be 'good cop.'
Hood races after him.
---
Tim makes it to a safe house off of Robinson Park. He probably lost Hood about half an hour ago, but it never hurts to be careful. Especially when---oh, shit.
"This place is filthy," Jason says, sitting on the kitchen counter that Tim never uses and looking with disdain at Tim's collection of empty energy drink cans, takeout boxes, and crime yarn. Jason's not wearing his helmet or domino, and he taps his boot heels softly against the cabinet door like a little kid. Not exactly danger signals.
But for a moment, all Tim can look at is the boots. It's stupid; the knife at his neck was closer to fatal. But the kicking had hurt the worst.
"Since you apparently have time to run your mouth," Jason says, "and since someone stole my target, it seems like we both have time to clean up in here. I went out and got trash bags." He nudges a box on the counter next to him. The trash bags are the sturdy kind, not the flimsy cheap kind or the extra-strength hide-the-body-parts kind.
Tim has been meaning to get trash bags for this place for three weeks. It's just that he doesn't visit often, and when he does it's usually when he's injured or tired, and he could get things delivered but that's a paper trail he could avoid if he just made time to visit the bodega down the street... "You're a trash bag," he says, even though it doesn't make sense.
Jason rolls his eyes. "Just for that, we're mopping the floor too. Luckily, I came prepared." He hops down from the counter and opens the little mystery closet next to the fridge. Inside: a broom, a Swiffer, a bucket, a pack of scrub brushes still in their plastic, and a jug of bleach.
Ohhh, that's why the closet is so narrow. It's supposed to hold cleaning supplies. Right. Tim definitely knew that. Tim definitely doesn't just have a roll of paper towels...somewhere...that he sometimes puts dish soap on.
He squints at Jason. Still no green danger-eyes. "Darcy and Elizabeth would never let you be part of a throuple with them," he tries.
Jason pulls out a trash bag. "They've got issues anyway."
"Helen Keller would make up new words so she could sign how ugly your face is."
"She was a socialist," Jason says. He holds the bag and gestures at Tim's kitchen table. "So we'd probably just talk about organizing the working class. I don't think looks would come into it. Also, way to be a dick."
"You're so pathetic that Jane Eyre would give up on you like she didn't give up on Rochester," Tim says, figuring he did the research for this attack, so he might as well use it.
Jason actually laughs a little bit. "First of all, there's a lot of power exchange going on in that decision, so jot that down," he says. "Second of all." He looks Tim in the face. "If I start to lose my temper, I'll leave, okay? Or you can just ask me to."
"Even if I asked right now?" Tim asks.
"Even if you asked right now," Jason confirms, though he eyeballs Tim's mess.
Jason's still holding the trash bag. Hands out, open body language, seemingly not homicidal.
Tim had planned for a lot of things with this encounter, including a body bag. Trash bags weren't one of his considered variables. He starts picking up empty cans. "This one can be for recycling," he says, dumping the cans into Jason's bag. New things from old materials. Jason likes that symbolism shit, right?
(Though...new things. Old materials. If there's anyone who ought to be good at that, it's someone who got raised from the dead.
Tim smirks and keeps the thought to himself. Operation: Limitless has been a startling success; he doesn't need to verbalize all his inside thoughts now.)
("Kid, I can tell you're thinking about a zombie joke," Jason says anyway. "You can only tell me after we've brought this shit-heap back to life.")
#jason todd#tim drake#red hood#red robin#castillon writes#this definitely isn't EXACTLY what jason did when he first came to the manor or anything.#with alfred and bruce supplying the cleaning stuff and the company#nope. no repeated patterns here.#definitely no feelings about causing the same fear of familial and or street violence that Jason himself experienced as a kid#and certainly no feelings about his own child self who spent the first month at the manor either swearing a blue streak or meekly complying

Seeing Blind (youâre too good to be all mine)
Chapter 6, 4.3k , mature, read under cut or on ao3
(Part 1) (part 2) (part 3) (part 4) (part 5)
A thank you to the ever wonderful @divine-misfortune for being my cowriter
âSwiss, I,â Dew opened his mouth with the partial intent of coming clean but Swiss fixed him with those big brown eyes and his heart cracked. âHe seems to get all weak in the knees when youâre bold,â he offered instead and resisted the urge to cringe at his own cowardice with a feigned nonchalance, tossing the crust of his sandwich to a sparrow, âso why donât you go be bold and tell him how you feel before heâs gone for good. Win him back or get yourself an answer then and there. Get yourself out of this limbo.â
Rain doesnât leave the house for several days after his talk with Dew. Canât bring himself to - doesnât want to face any of them, let alone Swiss.
Hardly manages to leave his room. The dark circles under his eyes are not lost on any of them.
His dad reluctantly knocks on the door periodically through the days, gruff voice gone surprisingly gentle asking if he needs anything. He brings him dinner when Rain is absent from the table. His mother sweeps into his room and opens the drawn curtains in the mornings despite the fact she knows Rain will close them again not long after, always asking hopefully if heâd like to help her in town or baking or something else benign. Itâs hard to see her smile falter when he makes up an excuse about needing to read a few chapters of some book or some essay to stay on track with his classes for when he returns to school.
School came more into focus as he wallowed, it was something he could blindly throw himself into. The upcoming semester was steadily approaching and coming to terms with leaving his home, and everyone, behind again was no easy task. Maybe getting away from the mess heâd made was best for him, and everyone else. He was never meant for farm life anyways - his mom always joked that he was born to be a city boy all his life, there seemed to be some truth to that now.
And as his sudden and abrupt absence dragged on, Swiss only grew more confused. It was almost like the few days Rain had avoided him after their first kiss but worse. The farmerâs son had plucked out his heart and ran off with it for real this time, and he wasnât coming back.
Swiss had gotten a small glimpse of him one afternoon as he was washing the tractor, elbow deep in soapy water with half his shirt soaked. He hadnât taken his lunch. He hadnât been taking them for a while, too worried to eat and too guilty to continue the routine he and Rain had fallen into; splitting two lunches between them in the shade of the grain silo, Rain bringing him a cold drink daily and a sliver of whatever his mother mightâve baked on Fridays. The silo was out on the far side of the front yard, far enough from the house Swiss feared he might just miss catching a glimpse of him.
Judging by the slow creak of the back screen door two things were evident; Dew hadnât oiled the hinges like heâd been asked to last week, and Rain had been counting on Swissâ absence.
He looked worse for wear. Uncomfortable having to simply exist, but most of all, Rain looked tired. Dead on his feet. Like heâd simultaneously just woken up and skipped sleeping the last few nights. Practically dragged himself across the gravel driveway to the barn where he fought with the heavy wood doors.
Swiss wasnât sure if Rain was pointedly avoiding looking at him or simply hadnât noticed the farmhand peeking at him from beside the tire but either way he couldnât take his eyes off Rain if he tried. Even as he continued to wipe the body down, mindlessly scrubbing the sponge over the same scuffed bit of paint. Seeing Rain hurt but looking away mightâve just killed him.
But Rain did eventually grow wise to the hopelessly yearning gaze cast in his direction. He froze like a deer in headlight, the color draining from his face - Swiss had never seen him paled like that, that soft pink flush had never left his cheeks when they were together. Neither of them spoke. Swiss didnât call his name, as badly as he wanted to, and Rain didnât say his in turn. No apology, no explanation, not even offering Swiss rejection. A range of emotions flitted across his face instead, the most prominent being grief and guilt, before he was retreating back to the cage heâd made for himself in that house. Going where Swiss could not follow.
The entire situation plays on repeat in Swissâ mind. Over and over. He should have just gotten over his nerves, the stupid gentleman complex he had, and fucked him. It wasnât like he didnât want Rain, he did. He really did, bad. After all the weeks of constant teasing only to be pushed away and outright denied it only made sense that Rain was avoiding him now - in Rainâs mind, Swiss was either leading him on and playing with his innocent emotions or he didnât want him at all.
It begins to eat away at him. Wearing guilt like a uniform as he drags himself through the overly long and unfulfilling days. He swallows it down for as long as he can until he simply canât. Mountain unknowingly puts the crack in the dam, his concern hitting right at the weakest spot. It spills out of him before he even comprehends the words. For the first time, out loud, Swiss admits to his feelings. Heâs more honest to him than heâd been ever since he and Rain first kissed. Confesses to just how much time theyâve spent together, and reluctantly tells them about the night that hadnât left his mind.
âAnd I kissed him, and it justâŠWe got carried away,â Swiss fidgets with a loose thread on his flannel, one of the buttons barely hanging on. Only when he glances down to the offending button does he realize itâs the dark green flannel heâd draped around Rainâs shoulders to keep him warm once upon a time. It felt like months ago. âWent pretty far and I knew he wanted to take it further but I stopped him.â
âYouâŠStopped him?â Dew paused, having been fiddling with the tab of his empty coke can as Swiss practically word-vomited on them. âWhy?â
âI donât really know.â He laughed nervously, an involuntary sound that came out hollow. âHe looked like a kicked puppy when I told him I didnât think we were ready, that I didnât think he was ready. Fucking hell, Iâm pretty sure it sounded like I was handling him with kid gloves or some shit. Probably sounded like I didnât want him.â
Mountain frowned. âThe worried mom lookâ as they all called it. He glanced sideways at Dew whoâd popped the tab off his can finally, and Dewâs stomach sank. He knew exactly what Mountain was thinking - that heâd been right about Rain from the beginning. Nothing but a priss who barely tolerated the lot of them. Someone they should have protected Swiss from more proactively. It made his skin start to itch. Dew needed Mountain to stop looking at him. He needed Swiss to stop looking absolutely devastated.
Heâd assumed the worst of Rain and his intentions. That Rain was using Swiss but how could he be using him if theyâd never gotten that far? Itâs not like he knew at the time - at least, thatâs how Dew attempts to justify everything he said but it really doesnât help. Fuck. Would Swiss understand if he told him? No, no Swiss wouldnât forgive him for ruining something that affected him this deeply.
Jaw aching, he could feel his anxiety driven heartbeat in his clenched teeth. His molars might just crack, or he would. Something had to give.
Dew stared into his lap and shifted the food packed in his lunchbox like he was looking for something in particular despite the way his appetite had curled up and died. Swiss and Mountain continued to discuss, trying to find the root of the problem unknowingly sat uncharacteristically quiet three feet away. Every heartbroken word from Swiss was another nail in the coffin Dew dug for himself. The path to hell was always paved with good intention.
âYou did what you thought was best, maybe you werenât ready either.â Mountain flicked Swissâ hand away from his flannel before he could actually tear the button off. âIf heâs truly that upset then he needs to talk to you about it, not lock himself away. He will realize what heâs lost at some point.â
A chip fell out of the bag Dew was holding before he finally sighed and threw the rest to the birds. Salt and grease wouldnât help him swallow this any easier, truth be told, everything was just helping to turn his stomach further. The truth sat like a lump in his throat, begging to be released. He just couldnât decide if it was better to come forward and confess or pray Rain never divulged the things heâd said to him. Neither would play out well for him, he was more than aware. Dew was also aware of the fact Mountain wouldnât save him from the consequences of these particular actions, might even turn a blind eye when Swiss inevitably jumps him with every ounce of bottled up hurt behind his closed fist.
âSwiss, I,â Dew opened his mouth with the partial intent of coming clean but Swiss fixed him with those big brown eyes and his heart cracked. âHe seems to get all weak in the knees when youâre bold,â he offered instead and resisted the urge to cringe at his own cowardice with a feigned nonchalance, tossing the crust of his sandwich to a sparrow, âso why donât you go be bold and tell him how you feel before heâs gone for good. Win him back or get yourself an answer then and there. Get yourself out of this limbo.â
He was trying to be a good friend now, he had been trying to be a good friend when he confronted Rain. Seems like heâs not very good at it. Swiss deserved better friends than him and that fact goes down just about as smooth as cough syrup. Dew couldnât stand that sad expression much longer, and as much as it might just kill him to have Swiss learn the truth, maybe he could at least get Rain back in the process. Sugar to help Swiss swallow the bitter medicine of Dewâs indiscretion.
âBut I donât want to overwhelm him. You should have seen how he turned tail when he saw me the other day, I donât want to chase him away.â Swiss sighed and rubbed both hands over his face.
Dew handed his now crustless, semi flattened sandwich to Mountain instead of tossing it to the birds. Chicken salad was bad for birds. âBorderline cannibalismâ Mountain had stressed to him in the middle of a lecture when he was caught throwing pieces of a different sandwich to some ducks one time. Heâd had his fair share of guilt for the day.
âYou really like him that much?â
âSo much, DewâŠMore than Iâve ever liked anyone or anything.â
A pit opened in Dewâs stomach but he fought to grin. The smile Dew typically fixed him with before doing something mischievous.
âGo tell him that then.â
With a shallow breath Swiss nodded and hopped to his feet, Mountain following behind as he made his way to the barn leaving Dew to sit in contemplation.
Bold.
One of two things would come of this; Rain slips away and he walks away looking like a fool with wounded pride or Rain returns his affections. What did he have to lose? Either way, Rain would leave for college by the end of the summer and he couldnât let him go without being truly honest with him, Rain deserved that much.
Fate was on his side, the stars had aligned. Wednesday was the one day of the week where he could count on Rainâs father being gone, restock day. He and the other farmhands dreaded it, usually left with aching backs and knees by the end of it after having to carry in countless bags of feed before they were allowed to clock off for the day. A routine they all knew well. Mountain went with. Big, strong, known favorite employee Mountain. It gave him a few hours to work with.
Like always, Mountain waved goodbye from the passenger side window and Swiss watched the truck disappear down the winding driveway with held breath. He counted to ten before turning and mumbling something to Dew about covering his ass. If the work wasnât done by the time they got back theyâd all get chewed out but Swiss needed to do this.
The house sat quiet aside from the buzz of the television as Rain sits on the edge of the couch folding towels, one of the few chores his parents could talk him into without much pushback as it didnât involve stepping foot outside. The knock on the door came suddenly and urgently, and Rain nearly sent his neat stack of linen to the floor when he flinched. He fumbled over himself to get to his feet and hurry to the door. More often than not, if someone came to the door after his father left something was wrong, and fearing an emergency Rain swung the door open without so much as checking who was out there.
His heart swelled and sunk all at once. Gripping the doorknob Rain was frozen. He canât retreat. Canât bring himself to close the door in Swissâ face even if he wanted to. Only with him standing there in front of him did Rain truly realize just how much he missed him. He fucking missed Swiss. It had been the loneliest heâd felt in years without him around. His eyes stung, the threat of tears barely kept at bay by a few rapid blinks.
âHeyâŠâ Swiss started and Rain seemed to jolt out of his stupor, he put his hand on the door to stop him from closing it before heâd even made any move to do so. He knew it was a desperate, pushy thing to do. âCan I come in?â
âM-My dad will be back soon,â Rain tried to keep his voice level and his face neutral but the words came out whispered and wobbled. He swallowed thickly.
âNo he wonât, he and Mountain just left. Please, I need to talk to you.â His gaze flicked away, catching Phantom and Cirrus both blatantly staring the two of them down from across the yard. He quickly tacked on a softer, âprivately.â
Hesitantly, Rain stepped to the side and allowed Swiss in. Swissâ shoulders sagged with a breath of relief as he crossed the threshold. Standing in his kitchen felt familiar but wrong at the same time, like he didnât belong there. Rain quietly shut the door and retreated further into the kitchen to sit at the table, the plates from breakfast still laid out. He sits stiffly, hands folded in his lap. The tears collecting in his lashes betray his neutrality.
Neither of them spoke for a stretch of time that lasted far too long, both too stubborn and guilt ridden to break the palpable silence until it was too heavy to bear a moment longer.
âIâm sorry Rain, it wasnât you I just was so wrapped up in-â
âIâm sorry, I never meant to make it feel like I thought poorly of you-â
The two blurted out in unison and ultimately trailed off into another widening gap between them. Swissâ frown settled deeper and Rain bit his lower lip in some vain attempt to stop himself from crying but the tears spilled despite his efforts. All the lonely nights with only a growing numbness as his company had done well enough to bottle up everything, but with Swiss there in front of him, he couldnât keep it in anymore.
âWhatâŠ?â Swissâ brow furrowed, moving from the chair across the table from him to the one directly beside him when he began to cry. âRain, what are you talking about?â He pulled his hands from his lap, squeezing them gently.
âIâm not like that, I never thought I was, was,â he hiccuped and dropped his head to stare at how Swiss held him instead of meeting his eyes âI never thought I was better than any of you, Iâm sorry. Fuck. Iâm so sorry, Swiss. Never wanted you to think that, or that this was some little fling. This wasnât just a play for attention or anything, I swear.â
Every word felt like another knife in his ribs, urging him to curl in on himself like a sobbing child. He just couldnât stop the words from pouring out, a proverbial waterfall of admission. He could see just how bad it must have looked - Swiss didnât fuck him so he turns his nose up at him and the other farmhands after the princess didnât get what he wanted. It could have only served to cement the idea of all of this being for his own gain and entertainment.
âTadpole, what are you talking about?â
âDew, he, he-â Another hitch in his voice, âtalked to meâŠTold me to stop messing around with you, and that you all thought I was uptight and snobby and that I was using you.â His head snapped up and heâs suddenly holding Swiss that much tighter, like he might pull away. âSwiss, Iâm not. I promise Iâm not, would never. I love you more than the attention or sex or-â Rain was beyond the point of babbling, probably didnât even realize heâd dropped the L-word.
If not for the sentence it was set in, his heart mightâve stuttered in his chest, but something hot and sharp began creeping up his throat instead. Anger and betrayal tasted sour in his mouth. Barely tempered.
âDew told you what?â
The silence was beyond damning. More than enough confirmation. If not for how tight Rain held him or the tears pouring freely down his face he might have gotten up and stalked out to the fields to wring the truth from his skinny little neck. But Rain had been out of reach for so long, he wouldnât dream of leaving him. Dew was what pulled them apart, he wouldnât let it happen again. Rain was his priority.
âI- oh darling. I never thought that about you. Not even for a second. Figured you were sticking around for more than just my good looks when you willingly subjected yourself to sleeping in hay on more than one occasion.â
Rain gave a small laugh, grabbing a napkin from the center of the table to wipe his eyes. It was something at least.
âDew is just, erâŠHeâs suspicious of people he doesnât know, and over protective of the ones he does. Doesnât know you like I do though, none of them do. Couldnât hope to understand how I feel about you.â The anger becomes easier to shove down with every soft stroke of his thumb over the back of Rainâs hands.
He has Rain again. He has Rain and there was nothing wrong between them anymore and he has Rain.
The tension leaves both of their postures, the quiet was easier to sit in without so much pressing down on them.
âSwissâŠâ Rain started somewhat shyly. âHow do you feel about me?
Itâs a question that should have a simple answer, âI love youâ, but it didnât quite answer it fully. Conceptually, yes. He loved Rain. But it didnât feel like enough. Words didnât feel like enough. Swiss had meant it, heâd never liked anyone the way he liked Rain.
âAskinâ the hard hitting questions there, Rainy.â He chuckled, meeting Rainâs expectant gaze. If only he could just lay his heart out there for Rain to see, itâd be easier. ââŠDo you remember the night we laid in the bed of my truck instead of the loft?â
âWhen we watched the stars?â
âYeah, yeah. Remember how absolutely fascinated you were by them? Just in awe of how the constellations told stories, how you could tell the time, the season, the direction, all just by looking at them?â
âOf course I do, it was beautiful out there.â
âYou couldnât stop staring at them all night, watched you struggle not to fall asleep so you could savor them a little bit longer. Wonderstruck by each and every little dot in the sky, really seeing them for the first time.â
He tipped his head, âwhat does this have to do with how you feel about me?â
âWell, raindrop,â Swiss brought one of his hands up and kissed his knuckles. âThatâs how you make me feelâŠHopelessly in awe of you.â
His mouth opened but all he managed was a weak laugh while shaking his head, looking anywhere but Swissâ face. Bashful. Beautiful. âYou donât mean that.â
Swiss turned him back towards him, cheek heating up underneath his palm. There it was. The only way he could possibly describe the way Swiss looked at him - nothing short of adoration.
âBarely looked at the sky that night, I couldnât stop looking at you. Every night, every time I had you in my arms all I wanted was to look at you.â He chuckled nervously. Nobody warned him of how nerve wracking this would be. The movies made it look so easy. âYou drive me fucking crazy Rainy. Got me feeling like a lovestruck fool when youâre around and a lost puppy when youâre not.â
Rain was a new shade of red. Nothing like the pinks heâd seen before, even when he had his mouth latched onto his throat and Rain was singing like a canary.
âCâmonâŠSay something.â His confidence wavered without any sort of response. âTell me Iâm not stupid.â It felt like he was begging for confirmation he wasnât positively delusional. âTell me you feel something for me.â
âI do,â he rested his hand over Swissâ, leaning his cheek into his palm. âI never knew I could like someone so much.â
Air rushed back into his lungs as Swiss remembered to breathe, that he even knew he could breathe to begin with. A real lovestruck fucking fool.
âFuck - you just, you make me feel alive. Swiss, all Iâve done during every break since I started college is come home and read. Stay in my room and study, wait to be told what to do, do the bare minimum to help out around the farm, and wait. I wait to go back to my dorm where I sit and I study and I wait to be told what I need to do before I drive hours home to do it all over again.â His face had almost become a grimace, recounting the routine heâd repeated for years out loud, but it softened out again when he refocused on Swiss. âDonât think Iâve had fun like this inâŠI donât know, like, forever. Havenât felt hopeful about anything in even longer.â
Somehow, he managed to sit still despite the giddy excitement blooming and bursting inside him. He was pretty sure he could pass out. For the last two summers Swiss had been making heart eyes at Rain from afar, hoping for a chance he never thought would come. Before this summer, theyâd had their small interactions. Not a whole lot of anything but it was something - a little banter here, a snide comment from either of them there, brief run ins that heâd been certain Rain brushed off and forgotten directly after parting. Swiss had loved every second of it, it always got his heart beating a little faster, he just didnât know how deep his love for Rain really ran at the time.
âYou were my first kiss yâknowâŠâ Rain admitted quietly like it was some shameful secret but the nervous, near bumbling reaction had given Rainâs innocence away within the first three seconds. Swiss decided not to tell him that, focusing instead on the little rush of pride that came with it.
âYeah..? Was I memorable?â His grin is dopey, he knows it is. Canât help it.
Flushing all the way to the tips of his ears, Rain made a little annoyed sound that turned into a laugh as he shoved Swissâ hands away. He got up and Swiss did the same. His hands donât stay away long, not when Swiss had every reason to possibly touch him.
âMaybe. Could have been, dunno. Itâs been a while.â
âNeed me to jog your memory then, darling?â
âMmâŠMight have to.â
Whatever impossibly heavy and strange fog had drifted over them was finally dissipating. Waved away. He felt lighter, they felt lighter. More at ease, more so with each other. Rain hands donât even shake as they slide up Swissâs chest to wrap his arms around his neck, only letting out a surprised little âoh!â as Swiss drew him to his chest. Eager to be close to him. Heâd quietly yearned to feel him again from the second heâd slipped out of bed that morning, not entirely in a physical sense, aching for the pure intimacy of it.
Kissing him felt like dreaming. Slow, sweet, like they had all the time in the world even though the clock was steadily ticking on from its place above the stove. It didnât matter. Their lips had always seemed to fit together so easily. Even easier was the way Rainâs fingers started to sneak into his locs. A silent plea for more, to be closer, to never let him go.
But they had to come up for air sometime. Swiss was the one to break apart, allowing him to catch Rain with his eyes still closed, bliss woven in his face. He wanted to keep him like that forever. His eyes flutter open and his delicate expression turns into the cutest pout that manages to tug on his heartstrings ever so slightly.
âHeeeyâŠâ He whined, rocking up onto his toes to steal another. All he gets is a peck.
âGotta go before your dad gets back, lover boy.â Swiss grinned down at him, tapping him on the nose as he slipped from his arms. âYou still remember where you can find me, princess?â
For that, Swiss earned a little shove against his chest and a proper fitting laugh. He couldnât stop himself from smiling if he tried.

Unsure if youâve answers this already, but whatâs the rest of the chain doing in your modern au?
I donât think ive ever really talked a lot about it like, in depth, but im more than happy to because i love my au and my silly guys :)
my bad for spelling errors i am Stupid đ
Time: (46) Lives on the ranch with Malon. He worked full time as a mechanic before he met and married Malon, and he still works at the same place just SIGNIFICANTLY less hours because heâs also doing work on the ranch. He also plays guitar as a hobby, he played more when he was younger but Twilightâs BIGGEST flex in middle and early high school was that his dad owns some fuckass guitars
Hyrule: (20) He really really really likes rocks and being outside so heâs going into geology because he wanted to dig in the dirt and find special rocks. Sometimes Twi will text him like âbro where are you?â and if he even has service Hyrule will just send him a pic in the literal middle of fucking nowhere. Hyrule lives with Legend in the same apartment as Wars, Twi, and Sky, EXACTLY one floor below them
Legend: (20) Political science major, because he was running out of time and had to pick something. Heâs not super sure what he wants to do, he has like, no plans, he didnât think heâd be alive this long and have to DO something with his life. He works at the same little coffee shop as Sky, and those two are good friends. Every time Wars is being too loud above him (jumping, screaming, dancing) he will get up on his table and smack the ceiling and yell, or heâll leave him angry voicemails. He left the dorms because he couldnât handle being in the room next to Warsâs dramatic ass, he was DEVASTATED to discover all he did was move in underneath him
Wild: (19) Heâs doing fashion/arts and he really really likes photography. Heâs a retired skater (same as Wars) and on good days he can move around alright with minimal pain, but itâs not uncommon for him to use a mobility aid. Heâs very good friends with Wars and sometimes theyâll fuck around at the rink together, other times when he has five minutes to spare Wars will drive him around and theyâll go to parks and just sit. Theyâre each otherâs oldest friend and they both left a sport that was literally their entire world and its been hard to adjust to life without competitions but theyâve got each other. Wars makes a very serious effort to meet up with Wild 2-3 times a week
Four: (19) Heâs a blacksmith, like his grandpa, but he got roped into this mess of a friend group somehow anyways. He finds most of them to be far too loud or dramatic, but theyâre his best friends and heâs stuck with em
Wind: (16) Heâs still in high school, but he does band and soccer. Wars took him skating ONCE because he used to babysit him, and Wind kinda got obsessed with the idea of what he calls âknife shoesâ. Of ALL the people Wars has taken to the rink with him (who have no prior experience skating), Wind is the best. Heâd be able to fuck around and play ice hockey with Wars, heâd get his ass beat if he went against an actual hockey player, but he can play a simple friendly game with Wars if Wars agrees to it
and then for anyone unfamiliar with the au!!:
Wars: (20/21; depends on what time of year I write the au in, because everything is just about their last year of undergrad and heâs a December birthday) Heâs a retired figure skater who holds a world record and several gold medals, and he won the hyrule equivalent of the olympics at 18. Heâs a dance major now, heâs been doing ballet since he was 3 and he never quit it, and heâs gone pretty much all day during the week because he goes skating for two hours before class, his last class ends at 5:30, and then if heâs actively in a show rehearsal ends at 10. Weekends are his only time to breathe but heâll still have rehearsal from 1-6 and will hit the rink from like 10-11 unless Sky and Twi get on their literal hands and knees and BEG him not to because they miss him and âwhen will my husband return from the fucking war??â
Twilight: (21/22; his birthday is March) Bio/chem major with the intent to become a vet for ranch animals. He LOVES animals so so so so much, and he has a rather bad habit of bringing home sat wet creatures to his adoptive parents/aunt&uncle Time and Malon who just need a little extra love, including but not limited to: Several dogs, several cats, an injured bird, Warriors, a baby deer. Most of these things get taken care of and then released or Time helps them get adopted, and others get kept (at LEAST four dogs (including a very fluffy one named Wolfie), Wars, and two cats)
Sky: (21) English literature major who wants to become a teacher because he had an awful time as a disabled kid in school and he was made to feel stupid and he NEVER wants a kid to have that experience. It broke his heart to realize Wars had that experience too and still thinks heâs stupid, but Sky is determined to be the kind of english teacher you remember DECADES after you leave grade school because they were so important and changed your life. His gf Sun also loves english literature, and they go on dates to the library together and itâs just disgustingly sweet. Heâs living out his best coffee shop romance au life because he does in fact work at a coffee shop and he did in fact fall in love with the girl who came in and ordered mint tea at 4 pm on the dot every day he just so happened to be working

Arcane S2 thoughts
(spoilers, obviously)
Most of this was sent to my friend Penn @pennedinblood in discord first, but I wanted to share it + some more on here too.
Okay, I now that its been a couple days and I've had time to think properly, have some thoughts about Arcane. This isn't going to be as specific and nuanced as I'd like, but I'll need more time for something like that.
Here's the thing... What we did get was good and I liked it a lot - for the most part anyway - but like - it wasn't a very good finale imo...
Like -
In season one they had this just fucking masterful foundation for such a nuanced discussion of class and oppression, of the cycle of violence, of how desperate acts may seem evil to some but are not always as simple as they seem and that one person's actions may influence the narrative but that it is the systems in place - and the willingness to follow systems that harm a disproportionate amount of the population for personal gain - that are the real issue. There were no real villains in s1 imo. It was just people making good, bad, or neutral choices, and they all interconnected and effected not only the plot, but the audiences' understanding of the corrupt system in place.
It forced you (if you're paying attention) to understand with visceral understanding both those of the oppressed and the oppressors; and in the midst of all of that we had magic and science interplaying beautifully against the good and greed of mankind.
AND just vast, resonant, deep interpersonal connections and development that you could feel in your bones.
and then in season two... we just kind of went - 'fuck that here's jesus and a witch ~~~ Magic war tiiime' Like?????
It touched on a few themes for sure, and what Jayce had to say to Viktor about disability and the purpose of people, or the value in imperfection and the point of life - as someone who's struggled with their health and other personal things I don't want to get into on the internet, that hit so hard. I hated Jayce in S1, and he won me over in act one of this season and just - didn't let me down. His arc was beautiful and I really really appreciate it. His connection with Viktor means so much to me. screeches into the void
But lets be so fucking real - they kind of (majorly) chickened out of their mass commentary on the opposing classes and working towards a better system that doesn't harm its people. and instead like - Vi's arc got completely fucked?
Like - oh okay so you ditched everything you were going to say and just made her a strong war pawn who can hit good and is gay coolcoolcool (sobs). Like, act one was so promising it really felt like it was following up on everything they had been working towards, and i loved seeing Vi having to make hard choices; watching her become an enforcer as the only way she could think of to deal with two disparate parts of herself - one that needed to put an end to the monster she feels like she created (Jinx, obvi), and one that desperately needed to hold onto the only person she had left (Caitlyn).
And Cait's devolvement into fascism was so intriguing and dark and I hated it in a good way, yk? Like I was like "oh fuck they made Cupcake unrecognizable in a fucking believable way wtf that's rad bro"
And then in act two they were just like 'HAHA lets not show you anything but the highlights of Vi's inner tumoil, then - wow look Jinx is here to tell her about Vander! - let's just never actually take a hard look into Vi's issues or personal arc ever again teehee - oh! And Cait's on our side again yay!' Like EXCUSE ME???
Vi had stood as one of the most important characters in the entire show. She is the linchpin between Piltover and Zaun - one of only two hinges that connects the two cites (the other being Viktor to a far lesser degree bc his roots are never explored, Singed is the only undercity person we see him go back to interact with, etc etc leaving Vi to be the only 'real one') And they completely sidestepped that - especially how she's also so connected to Ekko and the Firelights - which was just - never touched again - Ekko didn't even get to fix his tree! I get it, bigger fish but ffs - it's not a blaming character thing, it's a writing issue. I understand why Ekko had to focus on smth besides his tree lmao - it's that the writers just dropped this thing that stood so strongly for Ekko's fucking roots man (pun intended). Like - He's representing what Vander wanted to do. What Zuan could be. He is literally making a part of Zaun beautiful and supportive, and standing resolute against the system and saying "both of you are wrong, back tf up and lets talk" and they just got rid of that. I think it says a lot that that in particular was punted into the void.
I'm just not over that we never got to see him and Vi interact again dude wth - and I feel like that really speaks to how much they removed Vi from her point and purpose in S1. It would make sense if she needed more time to reconnect -esp after how Cait betrayed her - but to never actually talk again? Just glimpsing each other in the finale?
Don't get me wrong, I loved some of the time-suckers this season. Mel for one (who I also wasn't a huge fan of in S1 (I didn't trust her lol)). Everything with Mel, Vik, and Jayce was sooo interesting, and Ambessa was a great villain. She was imposing and horrible and yet there were very small parts of her that you could understand - but there wasn't enough time. Not with everything else we were also touching. Not without loosing so much of what we had been working towards. And even with the large focus, The Black Rose was this jumbled mess of ideas that didn't really amount to much besides giving Mel a powerup and probably leading us into the spinoff :(
I've been having trouble processing all of this because I'm shocked and upset because narratively, I didn't like it.
And I HATE that I didn't like it. I liked the individual scenes. I liked the concepts at play. But none of it was fleshed out!
That impeccable no-crumbs-left writing was suddenly nothing but crumbs. A whole feast of them. Nothing was really held together and it left each arc feeling like a separate vaguely-connected vignette rather than a whole story - let alone a satisfying conclusion to the previous season.
I'm genuinely angry because I wanted so badly to love this season but I just don't; not as a whole, not as an ending. Again, the individual moments were largely great, but good moments don't make a good story.
I just feel like they were trying too hard to serve LoL lore. Originally Arcane wasn't cannon-compliant with the messy lore of the game, and then a few months ago they came out and said that it was now considered canon - and I was excited bc I thought that meant that whatever they did would influence League - but I was wrong. I think it's very clear that Canonizing Arcane had the opposite effect. I think it's why they chickened out of their societal commentary - I think it's why the Champion deaths were so 'no body, no proof'. I think that it undercut all the stakes for the writers and made them forced to bend to the will of a lot more oversight from the higher-ups at Riot.
I don't know guys, how are you feeling? I'm really glad we got CaitVi cannonized (but I have things I wanna say about that too, esp. how their sex scene played into the sidestepping of Vi's arc (not that it happened, but the way it did - I can talk more about this another time lmao)) and I loved getting a timebomb kiss (again more Vi arc things I wanna say *sobbing and gnawing on my cage bars*) but yeah - anyway I gotta stop typing before I get too into-the-weeds of my thoughts. I'll probably make a big post about the specifics of how I feel they fucked up Vi's story in another post bc I clearly can't let it go XD
But fr tell me ur thoughts too pls I want to know what you thing even if - maybe even especially if - you disagree with me :3
Idk I've got to rewatch it.
It wasn't bad TV, it's still better than most things coming out right now... I hate that I can't just love it entirely rn raaaaaaahhh auhfalwoiha (help D':)

I like movie Moira McTaggert. I dislike how they give her so little sustance but that's also what I love?
"she's charles's love interest" In First Class she isn't given much with Charles (which yay love interest wise bc she can do better and nay in their lame attempt to make them seem romantically compatible) but she and Charles are close in like a best friends way but some other CIA agents assume it's more (they go with it bc 60s) meanwhile she's actually closer to Raven and imo it's Moira not Erik Raven goes to when she wants to know if someone can kiss her without her looking normal, Moira reassures her (Moira tells Hank off later then laughs when he comes in blue and furry before leaving for Cuba in like ironic you wouldn't kiss a naturally blue girl but now you're blue way)
where was she in DoFP which is where I imagine maybe she was there in 63 when Erik got arrested (workoholic bastard *affectionate*) and sure she doesn't remember Erik clearly but she kind of knows him so she may be sticks her neck out and gets him into the underground plastic cell (the other option was death and she just knows that that can't happen. Not only bc of the brotherhood but she vaguely remembers Charles's presence and knows Charles will not handle that shit well) and the reason why her course of action is accepted instead of dismissed or stolen by one of her male colleagues is bc Lady Kennedy spoke up for her, agreed to it, and was adamant in letting it be known that I was Moira's idea.
Then in Apocalypse she and Charles meet again (I'm re-writting the cringe ass meeting). In post DoFP with Charles and Hank re-opening the school he invites her over prior to the school opening that is when he gives her back her memories, she keeps the school quiet. Eventually she out-ranks Stryker and that pisses him off but oh well. Anyways he calls her over to Westchester because he knows something is wrong and she is the main one (aside from Lady Kennedy bc Lady Kennedy was a frequent visitor and writer to Erik) that has kept tabs on him at least where he lives and asks her to try contact him but then Apocalypse happens (Alex survives in my version) they all go and save Charles, Moira goes with Raven and Peter to knock some sense into Erik - in Moira's case literally. idk how but she does. Everything else follows in-verse minus Moira getting her memories back. Turns out Magda and Nina were alive and had been kidnapped but Magda and Erik divorce amicably as he doesn't want to put her in danger again and she has now seen first hand some shit that can happen to and around him. Nina goes to the Xavier school
(I'm making up a different movie in place of Phoenix) in the 90s they find out Banshee and Angel and some others are alive. They find out that the sentinals that killed them didn't kill them but teleported them somewhere else where Amahl Faruk finds them and brainwashes them into working for him. Hank, Raven, and Alex feel as though it is their duty - as the ones closest to them - to bring them back but Amahl is after Ororo and Charles. Hank, Raven, and Alex sneak out when the others are on a field trip overnight in like DC or something. in DC Moira is talking with Charles and Erik about a new mutant disturbance which throws them off as neither have detected any mutants in weeks which startles Moira bc how can the two strongest mutants not know. Amahl then hypnotizes Ororo and Charles - Academic he is still being up - feels that something is off and sees Storm but she doesn't feel right telepathically he calls to her to no avail, going after her Charles and Storm are kidnapped. Moira goes to the DC CIA office to gather Intel on what happened and threatens to cut everyone there a new one (Erik's with her and any beef they have, squashed. She's his bestie now) and with CIA Intel and plane they set off to save Charles and Ororo. (I can make this thing a whole post alone so I'm gonna stop here for now.)
but we still get the Paris proposal (Raven is also alive) Moira and Hank are Charles's Best Woman/Man, Raven is ordaining, with Magda and Angel as Erik's and Sean and Nina as the flower throwers (metal so Erik can reuse them later and make them last longer) and turns out Moira's son is a mutant (which for some explain her advocacy aside from her friendship with Charles) that becomes the ring bearer. And Alex is the first person to give a speech at the reception that makes everyone do a spit take
#moira mactaggert#cherik#charles xavier#erik lehnsherr#xmen#xmen movies#x men first class#x men days of future past#x men apocalypse#random X-Men movie I made up#magda and Moira are besties#Magda and Nina live#Magda lensherr#Nina lensherr#Moira and Magda definitely tease Erik and Charles about their relationship#Charles and Erik regret introducing Magda and Moira#Nina is having the time of her life#and yes Nina knows Peter is her brother#Erik still doesn't

Potions with the Slytherins - a wolfstar microfic
@wolfstarmicrofic - November 26: Potions Dungeon - Words: 844 - Warnings: Violence
Sirius is already tense. School is a lot of work, however much he likes to pretend he doesnât care. His feelings are⊠confusing. The letters from home have kept coming lately, each one nastier than the last.
His friends are brilliant, but having Potions with the Slytherins doesnât help.
Sirius is determined not to let them agitate him. He keeps his head down and focuses on stirring his potion. Despite his best efforts, Severus, the leach, seems to sense that is extra irritable today. And despite trying to stay calm, he loses focus and messes up the amount of peppermint leaves which leaves his potion a dull yellow instead of bright green.
Severus laughs exaggeratedly and has his fellow Slytherins join in. âI knew you werenât cleaver enough to be sorted into the superior house, Black. But I didnât know you were dumber than a squib. Donât even know how to count, apparently.â
James reaches an arm out in front of Sirius and mumbles âEasy mate.â
But he turns the wrong way. Itâs not Sirius who lashes out. Itâs Remus. Quiet cautious Remus. Who leaps up, kicks Snapeâs cauldron over so the green gooey potion splashes all over the floor, and sticks his wand out.
âTake that back!â
For a moment, Severus seems as stunned as Sirius feels. But he quickly snaps out of it, looks furiously at the spilt potion and shoots a hex Sirius doesnât recognize Remusâ way. Remus doesnât react fast enough to shield himself but throws his arm up to protect his face and tumbles backwards with a yelp.
Before Sirius can think he disarms Severus and, in the process, has him flying right into the ingredient cabinet behind him where jars and pots rain down around him.
âBoys! Boys!â Slughorn clears the mess with a few whips of his wand and looks sternly at Sirius and Remus.
âDetention, both of you. And ten points each from Gryffindor.â
âBut, Professor ââ they both complain.
âI donât want to hear any of it. You are dismissed from this class. Zero points on todayâs potions.â
âThatâs not fair!â
âIsnât it?â Professor Slughorn sniffs Siriusâ potion â This is useless anywayâ, and then he turns to Remus, âand you sabotaged Mr Snapeâs, he can take over yours and continue if he wants to.â
âComeâ, Remus mumbles and pulls discreetly at Sirius' robe. Sirius follows him out, careful to keep his gaze in the other direction than the Slytherins he knows will be watching gleefully.
They reach the first flight of stairs before Sirius realises there is something wrong with Remus. He still clutches his arm tight against his body.
âLet me seeâ Sirius demands.
He gasps when Remus does what he asks. A deep gush runs along the forearm. Blood starts dripping as soon as Remus loosens his grip.
Sirius doesnât want to think about what would have happened if that hex had hit him straight on.
âLetâs get you to the Hospital Wing,â he ushers.
Remus silently obliges. It doesnât take long for Madam Pomfrey to fix him up. She is a splendid medi-witch, with her muttering about stupid violent boys, and all. But Sirius is still distraught when she leaves them, Remus sitting on the bed, Sirius crouching beside him with his arm on top of the bedding.
Remus looks at him and smiles a tentative smile. Sirius feels the sting of tears behind his eyes. Remus tries to reach out and touch him, but he elegantly ducks away.
âI am so sorry. I know it hurts.â Remus says.
âHurts?â What does he mean? If anyone is hurting it is Remus.
âIt must suck to hear things like that.â
âHear thingsâŠ? Moony? You are hurt! Because of me. Thatâs what upsets me.â
Sirius runs his hands down his face and swallows before he continues.
âI watch you get hurt every full moon, and itâs already more than I can take. I canât watch you get yourself hurt over me. Itâs not supposed to be like that. I am supposed to protect you.â
Remus smiles. âI want to protect you too.â
âNo! You donât get it! I think I.. I think I love you, Moony. For real.â
Remus puts a hand on each of his shoulders and ducks his head low, trying to meet Sirius' downturned eyes. âI think I love you too.â
Sirius sighs. âYou donât get itâŠâ
âI think I do.â Remus leans forward and forces Sirius to meet his eyes. His hand lingers for a moment at Siriusâ jaw, thumb tracing the curve of his cheekbone. Then he slowly brushes his lips against his, soft and tentative.
Sirius winds his arms around Remus, pulling him closer, and the tentative kiss deepens. The heat of it, the overwhelming rightness of it, consumes him until he feels Remusâ laughter vibrate against his mouth as they topple backwards onto the bed. Sirius braces himself above him, grinning like a fool.
Madam Pomfrey sharply clears her throat. âYou may leave now.â Sirius can hear the smile in her voice from across the room.

Charms
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4
Sirius Black x Fem!Slytherin!reader
1.5k words
cw: fluff
After lunch, you had a free period. You had gotten comfortable in a bay window with a book and it didnât take long for one of Hogwartsâ strays to find you. You had started with just absentmindedly petting it, but then it curled up in your lap and fell asleep. You both loved and hated how content it looked snoozing away. You groaned when the bells chimed to signal the end of the period. You couldnât move, not with a sleeping cat in your lap. How could you disturb its rest?Â
You sigh. At least itâs only Charms. You accept your position and continue to read. Youâre certain that Pandora or Dorcas will take notes when they notice youâre not there. If worse comes to worst, you could see if Evan or anyone else has notes. Or you could have Dorcas ask Marlene for Lilyâs notes. Staying with the cat seemed more acceptable with each person you added to the list of possibly having notes. For all you know, Professor Flitwick could be reviewing a spell youâve already mastered and youâd be bored out of your mind anyways. Yes, staying here and letting the small creature remain unbothered was okay.Â
Sirius, who had gotten better at sneaking glances at you during the classes you shared, notices right away when you arenât in your seat next to Pandora when Charms starts. As much as he wants to point it out to his friends and get their opinions on where you might be, he doesnât. If he did, heâd endure more teasing about âstill being intriguedâ by you. He was. He just doesnât want to deal with his friends right now.Â
Despite knowing you arenât there, Sirius continues to glance toward Pandora throughout the class. He also looks at the door. Heâs hoping youâll walk in with some excuse for being late, but you never do. Sirius has never found it so difficult to pay attention in class. He really hopes that his friends donât notice him scanning the room and ask him what heâs looking for. Still intrigued. He wasnât sure if this intrigue was developing into something more. Interest. More than interest. He felt a need to get to know you better. To get you to like him. You were a dog person after all. You should like him.Â
After class, rather than heading straight to his next lesson, he looks around the corridors a bit. Heâs looking for you, but if anyone dared to ask, he would claim to be looking for a dropped quill or something. Is a quill a believable thing to be searching for? If he dropped an ink pot, that would break. Maybe a misplaced textbook? Heâs still thinking of possible excuses for what he was looking for when he spots the real thing: you. Your hair seems to glow in the sunlight from the window where youâre sitting, book in hand and cat in lap. Of course you had an animal with you.
âAh, there you are!â Sirius exclaims, strolling toward you. âYou missed Charms!â
You tilt your head, looking up at the voice.Â
âHave you come to give me your notes?â
âDo I look like I take notes?â
âNo, but looks can be deceiving.â
A crooked smile appears on his face.Â
âAnd how do I look, darling?â He strikes a pose, earning an eye roll from you.
âLike a pompous arse who doesnât have notes to offer me?â
âHmm, not the answer I was going for.â
You snort a laugh, which slightly disturbs the cat still sleeping in your lap but it adjusts and falls right back asleep.
âWhat do you want to hear? Oh, Sirius, youâre so dreamy and fit and charming and dashing,â you say in your falsetto.
Sirius laughs and leans against the wall near your feet.Â
âYeah, something like that.â
âThen go find your fan club. Theyâll tell you that.â
You turn back to your book, hoping heâll leave. He doesnât.
âAre you not in my fan club?â he asks, tapping your shoe with his finger.Â
âNo. Never have been,â you say. Your eyes are glued to the pages of your book.Â
âItâs always accepting new members.â
You look up at Sirius with an annoyed look, which softens quickly when you see Regulus approaching from behind him.Â
âReggie!â you call with a wave.
Sirius spins around, coming face to face with his brother.
âSirius,â Regulus greets his brother coldly. His tone warms when he looks back to you. âI have bad news for you.â
You groan. âItâs formal?â
He nods and Sirius looks confused.
âWhatâs formal?â
âYouâre still coming, right?â Regulus asks you, his eyes pleading you to say yes. âPlease?â
âYes, Iâm still coming,â you say and his face lights up. âBut! Youâre coming dress shopping with me.â
His face falls. âWhy?â
âBecause Iâm not taking Dorcas or Pandora.â
âWhat do you need a dress for?â Sirius asks.Â
His interest in whatever his brother has invited you to is growing. What event was Regulus taking you to that you needed to wear a dress? He was amused that you would be dragging his brother shopping for said event. That unnerving feeling that he had in his stomach a few days ago outside returned as he thought of you twirling in a dress in front of Regulus for his opinion.Â
Regulus shot Sirius an annoyed look, as if saying it wasnât any of his business.Â
âJust a Slug Club thing,â you say, waving your hand dismissively at Sirius. âSo, Reg, weâll go to Hogsmeade this weekend, yeah?â
Sirius didnât wait for Regulusâ answer. He left you two with his mind spinning on how he could be invited to this Slub Club thing. Who did he know that was in Slug Club and would likely not already have a date picked out?Â
âYeah, this weekend works,â Regulus says. He pauses as he turns to see how far away Sirius had gone. âWhy was he here?â
You shrug. âDonât know. Thought he was maybe going to offer me notes for Charms, but no.â
âYou were here all period, werenât you?â he asks, eying the sleeping cat.
âLittle thing is just so comfortable. You canât blame me!â
âYouâre unbelievable sometimes, you know that, right?â
âIt was just Charms!â you exclaim.Â
âAnd you skipped it.â
âYes, I did.â
âWhat do you have next?â
âTransfigurationâŠâ
Regulus gives you a small smile before he scoops up the cat. It chirps with wide eyes at the sudden movement. He gently places it on the ground and it runs away.Â
âCome on,â he says, grabbing your hands. âLetâs get you to Transfiguration.â
âBut!â
âNo buts! As your friend, I canât let you skip classes all day because a cat was sleeping.â
âRegulus,â you whine.
âI wonât hear it,â he says definitively. âYouâll thank me later.â
âDoubtful,â you grumble but now that youâre standing, you let Regulus lead you to your next class.Â
---
It hits Sirius after dinner when heâs in the Gryffindor Common Room. Lily is in Slug Club. Despite all of Jamesâ attempts, she is very single and likely needs a date to the party. She could be his way in. He was fairly certain he hadnât seen her buddying up to any guy recently. He approaches the table where sheâs sitting with Mary and Marlene. He puts a genuine smile, hoping it helps his cause. Â
âEvans! You know how weâre best friends, yeah?âÂ
âWords never used to describe us, but go on,â Lily laughs as she looks up from her homework.Â
âIâve decided that Iâll be your date to Slughornâs party.â
She looks at him with a confused expression.
âYouâve decided?â
âYes.âÂ
âAnd you want to go to that?â
âYes.âÂ
âDo I want to know why? Usually people not in Slug Club are more than glad not to go,â she says.
He presses his hands on the table and leans forward. âI just need to be there.â
âNeed to, huh? Would you behave?â
âYes!â
âI donât believe you, Black.â
âWhat would I even do?â
âI donât know. Prank Severus or something stupid.â
âI thought you didnât like him anymore,â Sirius says, his brows scrunching together in confusion.
âI donât,â Lily says pointedly. âBut that doesnât mean I want my guest at Slughornâs party to be causing a scene. Itâs my image on the line.â
âI promise Iâll be on my very best behavior.â SIrius looks around the common room. âI swear it on Remusâ books, Jamesâ broom, Peterâs wizardsâ chess and my hair.â
âYou almost have to say yes now,â Mary says with a giggle. âHe swore on his hair and I want to see what happens when he fucks it up.â
âI wonât!â he asserts.Â
âI suppose it saves me from actually asking someone⊠Alright, Black. You can come.â She pauses and looks Sirius up and down. âYou know you have to dress up, right?â
He nods and smiles at her. âThatâs part of why I need to go.â
Lily exchanges glances with Marlene and Mary as Sirius returns to where his friends are gathered near the fire.Â
âYouâll have to give us a play-by-play. Black needing to go to Sluggyâs party?â Marlene tells Lily.Â
âDo you have any idea what thatâs about?â Mary asks.
Lily shakes her head with a sigh. âNo⊠I just hope I donât regret it.â
