apparently pjotv twt was being weird about book!Percy's eyes being green because they don't think the ocean can be green (???) so consider this a sequel to my Grace siblings eye colors post and here is some visual references of green water for all your Percy inspo needs:

I have the brain of a fallow deer i think because when i look at my beloved wrestleboys (or really any incredibly huge buff person) i feel the instinctive response in my brain of holy fuck this guy could eat me. Like i am some sort of prey animal. What's wrong with me. yesterday i saw an apartment in like what's considered the best city to live in here esp for young ppl (so it's got extremely expensive rent. as you can guess) and it was decent. the landlord was very like. pushy? and a bit aggressive to the point that we now got the text from the real estate agent we went through where he convinced him to be flexible with our terms and prices and such. but bc of his vibe i said no. but this apartment was lovely and in an extremely insanely good location (and he agreed to lower rent to a price you might find in cheaper neighborhoods or cities). however. part of me also got scared bc idk if i can live in this city...... i simply do not have the tel avivi temperament i don't even smoke weed i'm not even vegan.. idk if i could handle it.......

sometimes it’s late at night and you’re cleaning your room and you come across a few old black and white photos of a young girl and you stare at them for a long minute wondering how on earth they got lost in an old Kroger shopping bag with an unopened pack of cigarettes and a receipt dated 2017.

and you look at the girl in the pictures sat on the floor of someone’s home you don’t recognize, smiling and playing with a set of keys and a tiny part of you feels like it recognizes her but you aren’t sure.

and you flip the pictures over hoping to find some sort of annotation that would give you context and all you find is the year 1964 stamped in tiny font along the edge.

and you flip them back over and time stands still as you realize that the recognition you feel is because she looks so much like you once did and next thing you know your hands are sweating and shaking and you have to sit on the floor because you’re crying so hard because it hits you all at once that you’re looking at your mother.

they toned down joe’s freakazoidness in the show considerably which is why he’s somewhat likable in the first 2 seasons, and then once you get to season 3 his original (book) nature starts to come out more and SOME (not a majority, which is unnerving to me) people started to dislike him after that. and idk i just think. people wouldn’t like him so much if they read the books first, that’s for sure… 💀 they’d see him properly for who he is instead of idealizing that kind of toxic, creepy, depraved man and acting as if that’s their dream guy and they want that. because like. ugh. they don’t see the nuance i don’t think… he’s such a well-written stalker incel murderer, it’s unsettling and it’s perfect for that kind of thing but instead they got rid of his more predatorial creepiness and suddenly people who watch the show think he’s genuinely ABOVE being incel-like, entitled, and a skeeve 😭 as if his whole thing is that he IS those things, he just doesn’t admit it to himself because he views himself as inherently deserving of a woman and love no matter what. what i’m getting at i guess is that by removing his creepiness at the start and then not even seeing it through makes the message of the show incredibly difficult to see if you don’t try / didn’t read the books. instead, it’s watered down and now people think he’s just soooo hot and a misunderstood lover boy yandere who cares and loves you so much he’d kill for you!!! 🥺🥺🥺 NO????? THATS NOT WHAT HE IS!!!! that’s not what the show is (poorly) trying to show you and it’s not what the books were for i’m sure
