November 14 - Thursday

aghhh... yikes thursday.

I was supposed to be fasting this day, but I had to break my fast early which I was so so sad about I literally almost cried in my kitchen in front of my moms I swear.

So. I got ready Thursday but was super late (when am i not) so I didn't go to my first class (ltrly haven't been in like 2 weeks I need to go help) and thennnn I was almost late to my second class... wait nvm I was actually by a few minutes I think but in the end it was fineee. I didn't really like my outfit this day because I felt like it looked weird..? idk but everyone else seemed to like it since I got a few compliments on it which was nice :)

When i got home on this afternoon I made some cookies I'd been wanting to for a few days. They were Dolly Parton chocolate chip cookies. My step mom started cooking while I put the first batch in the oven and omggg. I was so so anxious. I was hoping the whole time that she would take long enough for me to be like oh haha actually I don't have enough time to eat, I have to go to practice woops. But unfortunately that's not how things worked out because dinner got done like 45 mins before I had to leave. sobs aggressively.

My mom literally said, "Eli. Come sit down and eat dinner" sighhh...

So I went to eat. I didn't take a pic um obvi.. bc I was in front of my moms.. LOL. I had a porkchop and like 4-6 brussel sprouts? and then a bit of mashed potatoes. Everything I had was totally freaking me out because I know my step mom loves to put fucking BUTTER AND OIL ON EVERY FUCKING THING. Like. that woman could put some oil in fucking water and be like "try it its so yumy and healthy and good for you" im gonna start tweaking out actually just thinking about it.

So anyways I even asked her, I ws like. "what's on the brussel sprouts?" and she said "olive oil and parmesean" that actually killed a little part in me I think like butter AND cheese shes trying to make me fucking obese. now. i LOVE cheese like i have a CHEESE OBSESSION. ITS BAD. however i do NOT love cheese calories and they very clearly do not love me either. So I was rlly nervous. But I ate basicallyyyyy all of it sobbbsbshgiuerhfjerohhiorioera.

14 again, but this time “Meat or Candy” interpreted as narrative philosophies rather than the halves of the epilogues

aghhh this is so mean!!! i've always read the meat/candy dichotomy as sides of the same coin rather than two discrete narrative philosophies, and homestuck itself as a structural exploration of various ways to balance/unbalance the split. picking between one or the other is like picking between air & water!

i certainly write godfeels with an eye towards finding a balance. serious drama needs to be offset by goofy comedy, cool anime fight scenes need to be offset by cursed bullshit or drydick exposition. chapter 8 especially is meant to be a tonal roller coaster. 'the shadows left behind' for instance is an almost 40,000 word long section about a depressed idea slowly clawing back personhood from their out of control death drive. there's murder attempts, there's suicide attempts, there's gore, there's psychological torture-- it's some of the heaviest shit i've ever written! and yet that same chapter also contains some of the funniest shit i've ever written. a story like this NEEDS that kind of variation to maintain reader interest, otherwise you get bogged down in seriousness or get so sucked up into lightheartedness that you lose all sense of substance.

like that's very much the reason ch8 ends with an epilogue full of jargon and exposition and obtuse metaphysics. i knew, at the close of ch8 act 5, that we were finally opening the door to what i consider The Good Shit. but it wouldn't be right to jump straight from that endpoint to where 3.2A begins. from an archival reading perspective, you need a palate cleanser to pull you back out from the thick of it and re-examine everything that just occurred from the outside. within the rest of ch8 there is a constant ebb and flow between meat tendencies and candy tendencies; what the epilogue reveals is that it was all candy in some sense, because it was functionally one extremely long action scene. it does this by serving as the meaty parallel, something much closer in tone and purpose to the author-insert sections of homestuck proper. it's meant to feel tedious and tantalizing at the same time, something you have to eat slowly and chew on to properly digest after the insane fast pace of [s] saturday. and even the epilogue swings back and forth between funny and serious! it's meat/candy all the way down!!

i suppose like any red-blooded american of the toonami generation, i have the most fun as a writer when i'm indulging myself in the candy of dumb anime bullshit. most of 'the shadows left behind' was back-constructed from the scene where Dare's "body" gets impaled and cut to shreds by X and they just keep walking towards it anyway. especially that moment where X tries to swallow them a second time, and Dare grabs it by the jaws and throws it off-- that whole sequence popped into my head and suddenly it clicked for me, oh shit, Dare is the secret shonen anime protagonist of godfeels! everything beforehand was a prelude to that moment when June really sees Dare for the first time, asks if they're real, and they shout defiantly, YES!!!

probably every writer does this to an extent, where they write towards some cool/interesting shit they can't get out of their head. there's a temptation to just go there, just get to the good stuff, because ultimately it's what you're there for and you KNOW the audience is gonna lap it up. but if you give in to that temptation and just string together all those keystone moments with bare-minimum bridging material, you paradoxically rob those moments of all their meaning and energy. did 'the shadows left behind' need to be 40,000 words long in one go? probably not. but i don't think the final culmination of that story would have hit nearly as hard otherwise.

you need meat to sell the candy. i wanted 3.2 A1 for instance to be much shorter than it wound up being, because god damn it i want to get to The Good Shit already!! but i realized very quickly that everything i wanted to get to would be poorly served by a cast of characters whose reasons for participating are murky at best. so i decided to invest in more of those meaty chapters between jade and various characters, which themselves needed their own fluctuating balance between meat tendencies and candy tendencies. from a structural standpoint it sort of becomes a meat/candy fractal, as each subdivision of each narrative unit has to maintain the same relative push-pull frequency that the entire fic as a whole does. does that make sense? i have no idea if that makes sense lmao.

anyway that's my take on the meat/candy split. hope it was satisfying u_u

Oooh boy I have a few. Obviously as all children with ideas of grandeur do I wanted to turn every single oc story I had into actual projects but right now I think I want to mostly try and work towards (VERY SLOWLY) make "My Mom Is A Serial Killer" a thing. Not like a webcomic or anything, but, you know, just, a comic, for fun. Since I work full time anyway I don't think it could be anything more than a passion project.. obviously If i had all the time and motivation in the world it'd be my first priority.

Second one would be "Necrologio" because I can't stop thinking of it as a videogame. And I don't know a single thing about videogames but god, if it had to be anything, it NEEDS to be that. I have exactly an idea what kinda game it should be and the aesthetic look and segments too. If only... but learning 3D May help me visualize it better.

As for animatics I've got a solid 1 idea for one and maybe another 2. But I shan't say what song or what ocs because I'm afraid of jinxing myself loool I'm scared of animating stuff </3

also bad news, i didn't get a haircut (slept through the appointment, asked if she had more time for me after nan and mum, they didn't let me know till 20 minutes later and by then i felt really sick and had been crying) which means i can't get it cut for ages, and my fringe is already too long. i have no fucking clue what to do and i have events i need nice hair for in the next few weeks. might just figure where dads hair stuff is and trim my fringe myself if it gets much longer... but then i won't be able to go to that hairdresser again aghhh sobbing whys stuff so difficult.

i felt so sick, and yet i kept stuffing my face... i wouldn't say it was a binge as i think i was in control of my actions most of that time ? plus thats pretty low for a binge. anyway it felt like a compulsion except i had control over whether i did it or not yk, but physical symptoms were basically me feeling sick, both a bad stomach and food surfacing bc it wouldn't fit in my stomach. i wouldn't have been half as bad if mum didn't come home with bbq hula hoops right next to me, setting off my cravings for both the food and the texture... id already been trying all day to satify my cravings for dry crunchy food (had it for days) and i just had,, then she bought it right back within 2 hour. ooking back, those calories would likely be halfed if just ate the crisps, but mum said i couldn't have them. said i don't know when to stop (ffs she's right) and that means there'd be nothing left for everyone else. atp should i just milk it and see if i can see someone about my eating habits, mums already concerned about my bad habits, that way me tracking food and eventually losing weight won't look suspicious at all. idek if they do doctors for that though, ain't no dieticians or anything in this little shitty town and i doubt theres similar jobs

miya grumbled as he sneaked quick glances at you from across him. you were both at school eating lunch underneath a tree for shade, like you always do, and for some reason, he was acting strange and awfully fidgety ever since the morning you went up to greet him.

"alright, what is it, miya?" you asked with a sigh "h-huh?" miya jumped as he nervously sipped on his drink, avoiding eye contact as his fingers fiddled with his switch.

"you're acting so weird" you said as you throw a candy wrapper at him "you've been looking at me strangely all day" you said as you narrowed your eyes at him

miya gulped and shook his head "no way!" he denied "you're getting too confident, you slime!" he said as he stuck his tongue out playfully

you rolled your eyes and laughed at his antics, throwing another piece of wrapper at him as you tuck a strand of hair behind your ear. "whatever" you said

"and don't call me a slime, im your best friend!" you whined with a laugh. miya blushed and jutted his bottom lip out in a sort of pout. "you're still a slime if you keep acting like that.." he muttered

you raise a brow in confusion "acting like what?" you asked. "a-acting so... so.." he stammered out, looking so flustered as he tries to maintain eye contact with you, even though he could practically feel his heart palpitating.

"so what?" you asked again, this time even more confused as his face visibly becomes a brighter shade of red all the way to the tip of his ears.

"so cute!!" miya finally admitted, accidentally raising his voice a little too high, causing a few students to turn their heads.

"aghhh" he groaned out as he ducked his head to avoid their gazes out of embarrassment.

"oh.. is that so?" you cooed out with a laugh as you cover your cheeks which were heating up from the compliment.

"well, you're pretty cute yourself" you teased "even for a slime"

miya looked up and glared at you, despite his quivering lips and shaky voice he still managed to let out a small "im not a slime.."

you smile and pack away your bento, standing up on your feet and pulling him along. "im gonna keep calling you a slime if you won't stop acting weird around me" you said

"anyways, let's go. lunch is about to end" you say as you take his hand in yours and proceed to walk away. miya gulped as he stared longingly at your intertwined hands.

"hey, y/n.." he muttered. "yeah?" you reply

"remember our promise?" he asked ".. yknow, when we were kids?"

you hummed for a moment before replying, "i think so.." you said "i mean.. i remember promising not to tell anyone when you fell into a canal when we were like five-"

"not that!!" miya shrieked with a bit of a pink tint to his cheeks "forget about that whole thing, that's embarrassing!" he whined

"then what?" you asked with a laugh "i can't name every promise we've ever made all in one go, you know?"

miya huffed and abruptly stopped in his tracks, causing you to halt along with him.

"i meant.. when we promised to marry each other." he said in a soft whisper

"miya.." you mumble as you stare at him in surprise. miya simply looked away, avoiding eye contact as his lips quiver into a small frown.

"um. yeah, i remember" you replied with a nervous smile as miya takes your hand in his and locks your fingers together.

"y/n, i think.." miya stammered out "i think i want to get married already."

you blinked in shock and confusion before letting out a sheepish laugh "haha, miya you can't be serious" you said

"we're too young, plus, you're saying that as if you like me or something" you said in a joking manner as you playfully hit his shoulder "but you don't actually like me, right?" you asked with a nervous gulp

miya shook his head and placed your hands over his chest, holding them tenderly as he stares up at you with his eyes glimmering with admiration.

"i like you a lot, y/n" he admitted "i've liked you since we were kids and-" he cut himself off

"actually, i think i love you. so um.. i wanna get married so nobody else can love you but me." miya said with a look of determination on his face as he nervously waits for your response.

"well uh.." you stammer out as you nervously look around "i.. i love you too, miya.." you finally admitted as you send him a bashful glance

miya's eyes widened as his smile turned into a wide grin. "really?" he asked with excitement

"yeah i guess" you muttered bashfully as you try to avoid his entrancing emerald hued eyes.

"that's great! let's get married." miya said as he took your hand and pulled you along as he ran towards the infamous cherry blossom tree in your school.

"miya, slow down!" you whined as he practically dragged you along while you struggled to keep up with him since he was basically sprinting.

"hurry up, you slime!" miya exclaimed with a laugh as he slows down to match your pace

"geez. you know we can get married at like 20 or 25 instead, right?" you said as you let out a breath of air

you were both underneath the cherry blossom tree. the beautiful pink blossoms fall and sway around due to the wind as the both of you lay on the grassy ground.

"we don't even have rings" you laughed as you turned to look at him. "don't worry i already have those" miya said with a cat-like grin

you watched in amusement as he dug into his pocket and pulled out two rings made of paper with small cat and video game stickers and both of your names written on the inside.

"oh gosh you actually have them" you sweat drop "ofcourse! i made these this morning and put a lot of effort so you better accept it" miya playfully scowled

you both sat up as he held out his palm, urging you to place your hand on top of it.

"my vows would be.. uh i'll love you forever and let you play my games. and i won't ever leave you and call you a slime ever again" miya muttered as he slid the ring into your finger, blushing madly as he does so.

"wow, nice vows. very heartfelt." you say sarcastically with a laugh, causing him to grumble and gently hit you with his fist.

"just say your vows, you slime!"

"you just said you wouldn't call me a slime anymore!"

"that only applies after! we're still not together since you still haven't told me your vows, slime!"

you sigh as a fond smile grazed your lips. you stare at miya through your lashes, chuckling to yourself as you see him waiting expectantly with a concerning amount of blush on his cheeks.

"my vows would be.." you muttered "that i would never leave you and i'll be with you and support you in whatever you wanna do." you said

"and-"

"that's enough" miya cut you off by waving his hand at your face, while covering his with the other. "u-um.. im fine with just that, you don't have to say anything else.." he said

you blink in confusion but agree anyways. "okay then" you smiled

miya gulped as he shakily lends you his hand, watching in astonishment as you slid the ring onto his finger.

"there, we're now officially together forever" you said with a laugh as you intertwined your hands together

"yeah." miya mumbled as his lips slowly curled into a loving smile

you gave him a smug grin as you point to your lips "this is the part where you kiss me-"

miya didn't let you finish as he suddenly tackled you into a hug and pressed a soft kiss onto your lips before moving along and pressing his lips onto both of your cheeks and nose.

"thanks for marrying me" miya muttered against your neck as he buries his face against your skin

"anytime" you chuckled. you wrapped your arms around him, causing him to sigh in satisfaction and relax against your body.

"mhhm, love you y/n" he mumbled

"i love you too miya"

"man, you'll never understand since you're too young" reki said with a smug grin as he patted miya's head to emphasise his point

"love is just too complex for kiddos like you" reki teased

miya simply grumbled and glared up at the redhead, causing reki to laugh even more. "oh yeah?" miya taunted

"well, it's not like you have a lover of your own" he scoffed "you can't flirt for the life of you, and girls wouldn't even waste their time of day to look at you"

reki let out a pained smile as he sulked over miya's harsh words. "ahahaha, those are some big words for a little kid like you" reki squeaked out with a chuckle

"tch.." miya gritted his teeth as he glared up at reki "you have no room to talk when your ethe one who doesn't have a s/o, you slime!" he exclaimed

"eh??" reki mused "why? do you have a s/o?" he taunted "i think not-"

"yes i do." miya cut him off with a smug smirk

"ha?! how?! you're like three?!?" reki exclaimed in surprise, which seemed to catch the others' attention

[productivity rant] [personal but it might resonate with other students and ND people]

as a general rule, any day i choose leisure over productivity basically ruins the whole day and that sometimes snowballs into ruining the week etc etc. but when i do even just ONE task i feel a little better and i'm able to continue it. didn't do anything all day besides pick up my clothes? that's okay <3 tomorrow i'll do more. i self-discipline but i conserve enough energy and treat myself so things that i HAVE to do (go to work, do my homework) i get done and things that i "should" do (laundry, dishes) i may put off but i feel good enough about having gotten my other stuff done that i feel energized into doing it.

a year ago, and even 3 months ago, i used to get so overwhelmed by everything i had to do that i'd cry and shut down and do nothing. i smoked marijuana to ignore my responsibilities and the consequences of not doing them. i've even drank and smoked and vaped nicotine for similar effects (rewriting my reward/dopamine system to not hate myself for being "lazy").

since the semester began, i've kept up the momentum. i made myself a schedule so as not to overwhelm myself unnecessarily (it helps!!), i got a new job as i had quit mine shortly after i stopped smoking November 2021 - that said, i work somewhere corporate now instead of at a franchise that scheduled me when I wasn't available. i attend my classes every week and do the work before the due-date, and once when i missed an assignment in one class, i did it late and turned it in anyway rather than decide not to do it all. that in particular has taught me i can't use procrastination as a means of getting out of the work, like i used to. it makes sense to me now to do the work before it's due rather than put it off hoping it'll disappear. eating meals has helped me stay in-tune with my schedules. i have coffee every morning (as a ritual), i eat breakfast, i make lunch when i can and if i can't i eat at work, and i eat before getting ready for bed. food has been a comfort to my emotions for years and now i'm ritualizing it to 1. make sure i energize my body and 2. routine!!!! aghhh routine my beloved.

at work, i make sure i take breaks. company policy is to take a paid 15 for every 4 hours and a 30-minute meal break before it's been 6 hours. at my old job, we didn't do meal breaks which is literally illegal but we could take two 15's if we wanted/needed. i got so burnt out because i never took meal breaks! at this job, i am required to take multiple breaks if my shift is over 5 hours. my coworkers and the team-leads are SO great about it. i don't feel guilty for taking breaks.

i also work somewhere i love. it took a few jobs, but i actually love it where i work. i get paid above minimum wage, it's corporate, and i'm barista-ing inside of a bigger store (you can probably guess where i work). i'm good at what i do, i like doing it, and i genuinely enjoy making customers happy when i'm there. when i'm overwhelmed, i don't ever get to that breaking point where i feel like i might freak out (due in part to my own self-work, quitting smoking, etc) but it's also because of getting breaks and knowing i'm safe, valued, and supported at my job. i can't speak for other stores but the ETLs where I work make me feel valued. it's important to find a job you like even if it's one you're working while in college or as a place-holder job until you work somewhere better, and that's not possible for everyone so i feel very lucky. it's made all the difference.

i find time for my friends! that's another thing. it's soo important for me to hang out with my #1 when he and i have schedules that allow it, and i've been keeping in touch with others rather than isolating myself. i go to school events when i can, get out by myself when i must. i went to a party this past weekend and hung out with people i don't normally hang with, hosted by a couple i haven't seen in a few years because we fell out and they had a friggin kid!! i got to see their life, their home, their adorable baby, and be a part of the scene catching up with all these other people i used to hang out with in high school. before one of my closer friends went out of state for university, she threw a party i was nervous about going to and i went and had a great time talking to people i didn't normally talk to, outside of my comfort zone.

ignore the weird paragraph breaks because i'm on mobile and can't figure out how to fix them, but this has been my quick little vent about how i balance all the stuff i'm doing. whenever i feel down about my worth or overwhelmed by the workload, i remind myself that i am a student working two jobs and a babysitting gig on top of classes, costuming for a show, and still finding time for appointments, events, and hobbies. i'm killing it out here. i've come to far and i am fuckin proud of myself.

“Who here knows how to get a fire started?” Dream asked.

The group held off on doing a fire night for a while. It’s not that they didn't want to do it, it’s more of the fact that they were scared to do it. The only responsible one there was Phil, but he was the only one who has experience with  a drunken Wilbur Soot. 

Tonight; however, was the perfect night. The forecast was clear, not even huge gusts of wind expected. It was ideal, everyone could sit in a circle and not have smoke filling their lungs. 

Dream took it upon himself to get out all of the chairs while Quackity carried the wood from the truck, making multiple trips. Bad offered to help him, but Quackity talked himself up about how strong he is and wanted to prove a point.

“I’ve made a fire before for a Mr. Beast video,” Karl mentioned. “I could give it a go.” 

“That atta boy, Karl!” Dream patted him on the back. “Everything that you need is somewhere out here. I’m sure Sap will get you anything.”

Karl looked over at Sapnap, who was in a bit of a conundrum. He was trying to help Charlie set up the bug net around the area. Dream got a huge one off of  Amazon that would make a huge tent but leave enough room to move around. Charlie was working on getting the stakes in the ground and spacing while Sapnap... was in a wrestling match with the net. 

Charlie gave him one simple task: unravel the net. Sapnap got as far as taking the pin out that held it together and somehow he got under it... and wrapped all up in it. It was a hilarious sight, seeing Sapnap wail his arms aimlessly to only get the net wrapped around him more.

“Sap!” Karl called out. “Calm down and stop. Let me help you.”

“I have it under control!” Sapnap yelled back. “I don't need any help. It’s just a stupid net! Aghhh.” That ‘stupid net’ wrapped around his leg and when he tried to move his arm, the net pulled back, taking Sapnap out at the knees.

Everyone turned around from the high pitch scream that left Sapnap’s lips and bursted out laughing. Karl did his best to hold his laugh in, but seeing his boyfriends angry face made him fail.

“Can I help you now?” Karl asked, reaching out for the net.

Sapnap crossed his arms in defeat, “Help.”

Karl detangled the net and patted Sapnap on the cheek, “There ya go. I have to go start the fire.”

Sapnap pecked his cheek, “Damn right you start that fire.”

A car horn beeped from the front of the yard, Phil was back. They sent Phil out to get stuff for s’mores since they forgot about it on the grocery list... well, more like they didn't get enough. Half the marshmallows were gone before the second day.

“Children!” Phil called. “I am back!”

Wilbur ran up to Phil and tried to snatch the bag of treats, but he was too slow and Phil whipped it behind his back, “Come on, Phil!”

Phil shook his head, “I’m putting myself in charge of s’mores. You little fucking gremlin will eat them all if I don't.”

“B-But that's not fair!” Wilbur pleaded. “I am a grown man Philzaminecraft. Just give me one marshmallow, that's all I want.”

Phil gave in, “Just one.” He took the marshmallows out of the bag and ripped them open with two fingers. He leaned the bag to Wilbur, carefully watching him only take one, “Good.”

Back at the now started fire, Badboyhalo was making good observations, “Hey, Dream! With the net in place there won’t be much room for benches and chairs.”

“Oh shit you already noticed,” Dream mumbled under his breath.

“What was that?” Bad asked.

“Well you see...” Dream scratched the back of his neck and looked over at George, who gave him the nod. “Benches and chairs are kinda of boring, and they didn't come with the property. I was open that everyone would be okay using old pillows and blankets that I brought because I didn't have enough room in the car to take benches.”

There was a silence among the group. That was a twist that no one would’ve thought of.

Charlie was the first to speak out, “That sounds fun actually! Think of it guys, who wants a boring old campfire? It’s gonna be like we're on some survival show. I’ve always wanted to try one.”

Everyone nodded in agreement. It was probably for the better that no one could fall off of a chair and into the fire. It was more controlled and brought them closer, literally.

“It’s gonna be a great night!” Dream declared. “Georgie, can you get the spares from the car?”

George nodded and went on his way.

“I’m gonna go with George to the cars if you don't mind,” Quackity told Dream. “I think we got enough logs for a couple hours here and I wanna go grab my guitar in the car.”

The sun set and the bugs came out. Everyone helped out getting the ground comfortable and took their spots. After a few quick pictures, the boys were ready to begin their night phone-free.

“Anyone want a s’more stick?” Phil offered, even though he was already passing them out.

“I’m good for now,” Wilbur replied. “But where are the drinks?”

“There should be some in the fridge,” Dream answered.

Wilbur immediately got up and ducked under the net.

“Already?” Bad asked. “We haven't even sat down for five minutes.”

“Oh fuck off!” Wilbur called in the distance.

“Language!”

“Just let him drink!” Quackity urged. “He was gonna do it anyways. Let him have fun and let loose, maybe you should too.”

Bad just ignored him and stuck a marshmallow at the end of his silver stick. Phil looked around and made sure that everyone had supplies before he started his own s’more.

“Do you want me to make yours?” George asked Dream. “I don't want you to get marshmallow in my hair.”

“Pfft what?” Dream asked. “How would I get marshmallow in your hair? I’m not that messy of an eater.”

“Dream, you are 6′1 and I am sitting in your lap. Melted marshmallow are gonna get in my hair with how clumsy you are! You like to move around a lot and I do not want to take extra time in the shower!”

“You already take twenty minutes!” Charlie teased. “You nearly used up all the fucking hot water last night!”

Everyone laughed, including Wilbur who was trying to pass out drinks. Most people denied the offer, it was too early into the fire to start now. Wilbur sat down between Phil and Karl and started to drink straight out of the vodka bottle.

“Jesus fuck, Wil,” Sapnap commented. “Slow down.”

“What?” Wilbur hiccuped. “You didn't see Tubbo make me drink like two and half shots without a break?”

That led to a conversation about streams that didn't have to do with Minecraft, which led to many more conversations about what to outsiders would consider nothing important.

But everyone was having one of the best nights of their lives. Quackity was playing random cords on his guitar that he made mental notes of to make into songs later. George was nearly asleep already due to the fact the Dream would not stop playing with his hair and rubbing his sides, which everyone thought was cute. Wilbur was long gone by now and good thing Charlie was up grabbing wood to catch him from falling in. His hand touched the outer rocks, so there might be a minor burn later, but he was too out of it to even feel it. Karl led a great men’s choir to the song “The Campfire Song Song” from Spongebob.

The fire lasted somewhere around three hours, but the boys made a lifetime worth of memories. Phil and Bad had to help Wilbur get back in the house, which they gave up trying by the time they got to the hallway, so in the hallway he stayed...he would eventually sober up and make it to bed. 

George forced Dream to carry him up the stairs because: “Dream, I’m too tired. If you don’t carry me, that’s proof you don’t love me.”

Karl and Sapnap stayed behind to clean up as much as they could carry. Which led to them sitting by the fire a little while longer until it was completely out, stuffing each other’s faces with marshmallows playing ‘Chubby Bunny’, which they ended up making each other laugh and lost at the same time. 

Tonight was definitely a night that was gonna be told at many weddings to come.
