Anyway recently a new friend of mine looked at me while we were having a drink and he was like you have a really nice smile ...! Like it was something he hadn't realised before and recently another friend had sent a picture of us to another friend and I spotted her completely unprompted reply saying I, me, not him, looked radiant, or something. And before then I thought I looked kinda stupid in that picture and then I looked after seeing that message and I was like oh, well maybe I do look nice. So what is the truth.

back like years ago i had a crush on this boy and my bold ass back then couldn’t ever keep anything to myself so i had told him i liked him and he basically said “hey that’s sweet and you’re cute but i’m not looking for a relationship right now.” i was sad but ya know, chill about it bc what could i do. cut to not even a week later and this dude is walking hand in hand at school with a girl and now i’m like hurt and incredibly jealous like ok dude, i guess you’re a lying liar who lies. anyway. i attempted to act really nonchalant about it but if there’s one thing young me never had it’s a nonchalant bone in her body so what i proceeded to do to show this dude that i was incredibly over him and that i did not at all care about his girlfriend was change my twitter name to “miss movin’ on” after the fifth harmony song which i had playing on REPEAT (and now felt like i could personally resonate with after the insane betrayal) and added “single” in my bio as if i had ever been “taken”…..

also i feel like when they're w/roger there's like a moment when coop and lucy exchange a look when he tells roger he doesn't have any more vials and i think coop is looking at her in a way that's like 'this is your fault' but it's also not like a super aggressive look either, like he's not glaring at her or anything. so i think he's also like fully aware this is also his own fault. bc like lucy says, was she just supposed to let him let that gulper take her? no. of course not. she grabbed what was nearest to her to hit it and it just so happened to be his bag w/his vials in it. but also if he left her the fuck alone and did literally anything else but that, it wouldn't have been an issue.

this is also why i think like instinctively he aims the gun at her bc he's fucking pissed and wants to blame it on her but she literally did what any sane fucking person would do. that's like why he just turns like FUCK. bc he knows it's also on him that this shit happened. is he gonna tell her that? no lmfao. but he knows it. and that's enough.

*Carameleon was sat beside Eternal Sugar, toying with some of that black sap from the willow tree, having bottled up what he'd gotten off the tree itself and the beast.*

*Eternal Sugar was resting her chin on her palm, watching the chameleon shifter with tired eyes.*

"...Say, little lizard..."

*Carameleon pauses, lifting his head to look at Eternal Sugar.*

"...What is it?-"

"...Why are you so willing to help me?..."

*Carameleon goes quiet, turning his head back to the bottle of sap.*

"...You don't have to tell me, it's alright not to..."

*The little chameleon shifter took in a deep breath, before shaking his head.*

"No, it's alright, I may as well spill."

*Carameleon caps the bottle of sap, before shoving it into the bag at his side.*

"I'll be honest- I'm not too sure. I think there's a reason you and the other beasts turned, we just don't know it. If I could find out what it is, maybe I could make things better between you and us-"

"...You sympathize for us?"

"N-no!- Well- actually- okay yeah-"

*A small smile finds it's way onto Eternal Sugar's face.*

"...Thank you."

"H-huh?-"

*Carameleon tilts his head as he looks up at Eternal Sugar, who is now rising to her feet, carefully wrapping up the pillow in the blanket.*

"I think we should start moving, I feel better now. Remind me, little one, what was your name?"

"C-Carameleon Cookie, ma'am!"

"Carameleon Cookie...thank you for being willing to help me. I hope you'll continue to do so."

*With the blanket holding the pillow now fastened over her shoulder to allow her to carry it easier, Eternal Sugar picked up the chameleon shifter, setting him on her shoulder.*

"O-of course! I'm happy to keep helping!"

*Carameleon seems to have relaxed greatly now that they're moving.*

*He looks happy.*

im watchin howl's moving castle rn and theres like. a newfound softness that i only really realized now that im older and have been thinking about families in the future.

sullivan's little helpers/apprentices all had the same blonde bob haircut that howl had in the beginning, meaning that sullivan makes them all have that haircut, and how even after all those years howl had already ran away from her, he still wasn't as free as he wanted to be, clinging and insisting on maintaining the blonde bob hairstyle to the point where he had grown to dislike how his hair naturally looked.

but after sophie came around, things started shaping up to resemble a comforting environment, one where they could have a proper breakfast, and a place tidy enough to not have so much unnecessary clutter around, and how unintentionally sophie had made him grow accustomed to how looked without keeping up a particular facade, and how things genuinely became more homey and warm because of her.

now the main reason why i made this post was when i realized that howl and sophie had made a found family, and to adjust to it properly howl had moved them into a new home where everyone would be properly accommodated, not to mention how it was a place that is deeply sentimental and valuable to sophie. this and the fact that howl took the time to give her some gifts too, to show just how much he appreciated everything that sophie has done for him.

it just. it just made me cry a bit. especially knowing what was going to happen next. he was willing to settle down and care for this family he never really expected to have, even despite all its faults and problems, and it really just made me think about the future. it made me hopeful about the prospect of caring for a family, and how i'd strive to emulate howl's kindness and care for the people close to him.

i think that such a thought is beautiful, but it all the more makes the threat of war and calamity feel so terrifying, yet despite it the will to ensure that your loved ones are safe are what would keep one's motivation strong to persist against all odds. just as howl and sophie have grown to truly value someone irreplaceable, one would strive to do everything they can to make sure that they will all get back safe together.

N WHILE I WAS WORKIN ON THE FULL BODY,,, i was considering how to do the whole bod- excuse me i adore character design n i adore ramblin about it- and more specifically the Arms actually and how the structures have canonically eight legs. the question of "should i be extremely basic n borin n give it eight legs + two arms or six legs and two arms that would double for legs to keep true to the limb count and maybe force the structure to essentially bow to walk like some fucked horror movie shit OR armless..." and well the fact is that armless is actually kinda Fun to draw so i went with that. n then came the idea of irony that Iterators r scholars and scientists and such n you'd think that means they'd have arms but Nope! fuck 'em kids. and then the fact that only the puppet has proper arms??? that's so fucked up to me. eyesight too!!! only the puppet and overseers can see!!!!s uch a giant thing and dependant on such small pieces of itself UGH

n then i realized i was getting subconsciously inspired by Al-an from Subnautica 😔👍
