yeah, carbon dating, bitch! get in here we're learning about bones n shit!

so this little guy is called the bone hydra! (His name is Lerny but we're getting all science-y in here so we gotta use the genus name)

it's a monster that can be found in Hades, specifically Asphodel, and it's got 5 heads. Each head has a different method of attack, and any one of the 5 can be selected as the main head you will fight when you encounter it. This only happens after you have bested it 3 times, however! so keep on your toes!

Once the other heads are able to spawn, they will do so during 2 separate support phases where the main head has become invulnerable to all damage and you must destroy each of the other heads to be able to harm the main one again. scary stuff!

Lets talk about those heads and their abilities!

This little guy right here? This is the Yellow Variant. He's your standard bread and butter, but that doesn't mean he's a slouch! He's got access to the most abilities out of any of them. Being able to shoot a volley of fast moving projectiles, ground slam, and even summon other variants! You should not under estimate this little guy!

What about the other variants you ask? Well, lets go in order!

The Orange Variant here shoots out magma ball spittles! be careful, they can burn you, as they leave temporary magma pools on the ground! he's able to make the arena extremely hectic, so don't slouch on him!

Continuing on, this version is the White Blue Variant, Its horns remind me a bit of @demilypyro's actually! And just like her and her love of hammers, its got the ability to SLAM its big ol' head on the ground and do lots of AOE damage, and even make parts of the arena crumble away! dangerous... you'll have to move quickly against this one!

And now you've to the Green Variant! Hey... those are my colors! and its a summoner too? talk about stealing my whole thing. Anyway, this one can throw out some little balls that can spawn some really dangerous enemies during the fight! You gotta take those out before they spawn, or it'll get even more hectic!

And finally, we've got the Purple Variant, this funky little guy likes to shoot waves of long, slow moving projectiles at you! they're designed to trip you up and make you mess up with how intimidating they are, but as long as you face danger head on and dash directly through them, you're usually pretty safe!

anyway, that's just a bit of Hades based bone lore for you! Carbon dating is fun! I hope it helped! Soon you'll be getting that Titan's Blood from good ol' lerny here in no time. I believe in you! And I'm sure demily does too. :)

The Legend of Zelda Forgotten Songs

We've recently been drawing on Stream, so we ended up making a Legend of Zelda AU. (I'll post the stream vods on my channel later)

Basically Din and Farore decide to mess with Nayru, and shuffled the Triforce pieces.

Anyway! Zelda, the Hero of Songs, needs to search for the Forgotten Songs lost to Hyrule, to bring light back to the Kingdom. She teams up with Link the bard and the two travel together. The Scholar King Ganondorf of the Gorudo is trying to take over the Kingdom of Hyrule and bring silence and darkness to keep the Kingdom under his control.

The Nicknames Zelda - Song (Songs) Link - Lute Ganondorf - Cacophony

Rabbit hole time!

Zelda is the Hero of Songs. She has the Hero's Spirit, and was given the Triforce of Courage!

Zelda is a menace to society. Yes. She fights in this dress, and she is GOOD AT IT. Her "Roll" is a little jump and spin. She also is a very physical character, she doesn't use a lot of magic Items, and don't let her looking frail fool you, she is very strong. (Yes Zelda has the Master Sword)

Link has been nicknamed Lute. He isn't fully Hylian, he is only half! The other half is Siren! He is a Bard. He also has the Triforce of Power! (Think of Zelda 2 btw) So the Northern Palace? Everyone remember that place? Yeah, Link's house is on the beach north of there, he has a cute little beach house, and also has an under water one (Because Siren/mer fun stuff)

Now Link here is a little Uncanny, right? Well, literally EVERYONE in town think's that. That's why he lives out by himself on the beach. He does go into town and play music for money, and he's really good! (Because Siren) and people ALWAYS PAY HIM- (Because SIREN) He doesn't do anything bad tbh. Lastly, Link uses the magic Items here, he is also holding onto the Interments and sheet music they get from the Dungeons! (Looking for the Forgotten Songs of old to save Hyrule)

Now, Link and Zelda are besties, Zelda was traveling past his house, and she just wanted to see who lived there, met Link, liked his weird vibes (Literally all her guards were like NOOOOO SIREN BOY- But Zelda doesn't know) Also, Zelda gave Link Anxiety. (Zelda "No Fear" Hero of Songs traveling with the Siren Bard Link the Lute player)

OH! One last thing, Zelda doesn't know Link is half Siren. She just knows he has funky vibes and she likes the funky vibes. Someone (Villager) will be like "That is a Monster" and Zelda will be like "THAT IS MY BEST FRIEND" (Holds Link's face) "NOW SAY SORRY TO HIM" Villager - "....sorry" Zelda doesn't care.

(another link thing, sorry, that hair? that short hair? Yeah, No. That's an under cut, he has long hair, its just brained and stuffed into the hat)

LASTLY we have Ganondorf! He is cousins with Zelda, and he holds the Triforce of Wisdom! Ganondorf want's to take Hyrule, and he knows he is right behind Zelda for the throne, so all he needs to do is Kill Zelda! (He tried to just hire a guy to shoot her with a cross bow, the guy shot, Zelda cause the arrow, AND THREW IT BACK- NO BOW- and Killed that man.) Ganondorf had to think a little outside the box. His list of Priorities goes 1) Kill Zelda, 2) Kill Link and 3) Take over Hyrule.

Now, Ganondorf here is SMART. (Nicknamed Cacophony) Ganondorf and Zelda are Cousins, and they are pretty close. Their relationship is VERY complicated. Like - Someone talking crap about Zelda in front of Ganondorf "HOW DARE YOU SAY THOSE THINGS!" Person - "That is your Mortal Enemy!" Ganon - "THAT IS MY COUSIN!" (Zelda does the same thing)

Link and Ganondorf also have a complex relationship, they have an emotional support group for talking about the crazy things Zelda did and the two just need a moment to reassure they are normal and it's just Zelda being weird.

Also Ganondorf is a magic user in this AU. He tries to outsmart his opponents when need be. And in this game he is fighting Zelda and Link, who share a single braincell. (I love those two so much oh my gosh XD)

The Dungeon's in the game would be actually kinda hard, relying on your ability to remember things and a LOT of Puzzles. The beginning you can just switch between Link and Zelda to figure stuff out, one being in another room and yelling the answers to the other type of thing. But as the game goes on (After Dungeon 3) Link will become unable to get into the Dungeon without Zelda finding the Interment inside and summoning him inside. (There will also be a Dungeon where you do mainly play as Link in, it's the water temple.)

Now, Dungeon's 1 through 6 you can get Link inside to help, but less and less. By Dungeon 7 Link is unable to be summoned inside. Again, you would need the Dungeon Item to summon Link, BUT Ganondorf is SMART. He figured this out, and went and TOOK THE ITEMS OUT- They are now in other Dungeons (You may find 2 Items inside one dungeon) You might need to return to a Dungeon for a Door you were unable to unlock with a new Item/song/sheet music.

But During Dungeon 7, when Zelda leaves she can tell a fight happened, the area is destroyed, and Link is nowhere to be seen. Ganondorf and his men ambushed Link, and Kidnapped him. (Along with all your stuff.) Zelda heads to Dungeon 8, learning that Link is somewhere inside.

(Our reasoning on why Link get's Kidnapped- "WELL ZELDA GETS KIDNAPPED ALL THE TIME! IT'S LINK'S TURN!")

Now Dungeon 8. Ganondorf is Smart. Zelda and Link Share a SINGLE Braincell. Each room is one of three things. 1) A previous Mini Boss (Link Dungeon 8(?) in Link's Awakening) 2) A Puzzle to get a key or something (Normal Dungeon stuff) OR 3) A Puzzle from a previous Dungeon, but the hint isn't in the Dungeon and Link isn't here to yell the answers for you.

So you will have to do one of three things for those rooms, Look up a guide online, Have a good memory and know what to do, Or go back to the Dungeon it was in, and write it down.

But if you leave you'll have to restart/run through the Dungeon again! AND THIS ONE DOESN'T HAVE A MAP- HAHAHA-

WELCOME TO DUNGEON 8 HELL.

We wanted to create the hardest/funnest Dungeon. (Ganondorf is SMART, HE WANT'S ZELDA DEAD.)

Also, Ganondorf convinces the King to send Gaurds after Zelda and Link. (Kinda like Lttp, but instead of "YOU KIDNAPPED THE PRINCESS" It's more like "Zelda Please, You Need To Come Home!" and Zelda is like "GANONDORF IS EVIL" "No HE ISN'T!" "HIS VIBES ARE RANK!")

I might draw some short comics of them later tbh! (I think it's fun to make stories with everyone on stream, it was good, 10/10 will draw on stream again XD)

Today's (9/5/2024) Episode: Dinner and Dancing

At the reception Luigi kept his drone recording as everyone gathered to enjoy the seafood feast he’d helped prepare earlier that afternoon.

Bonnie, who was flying solo as usual, was seated across from Noemi. Now that she understood the bride’s own social struggles, she was willing to admit “Leroy’s “demanding job” isn’t really the reason he never comes to these things. He’s socially awkward, and crowds make him anxious.” 

“I totally get it.” Noemi sympathized, “I’ve come to accept this zoo…” she waved to indicate the crowded table “as “part of the package” with Lu’s close knit family, but its awesome you’re willing to let Leroy enjoy his solitude.” She leaned in closer. “I’m a little jealous, I wish I was home right now too.”

Lu himself was happily telling Grandpa Don “PrimSim gave us a bonus for our little Harvestfest collab, no doubt due to your expert lead…”

 Don held up a hand to stop Luigi from making the offer he knew was coming “That’s great! You can consider it an extra wedding present.”

In lieu of dessert champagne was poured and both sims of honor rose to give a toast.

Amaya went first “At the last wedding Luigi and I attended I told him I never wanted to see him again. Then I stumbled into friendship with his pretty momma as we were both learning to be better mommas to our incoming bundles of joy. Ain’t life strange? You did good hot stuff – but if you let my girl down you best believe I’ll be the one kicking your butt!”

Denton followed up with “Luigi and I got off to a bit of a rough start…” “To be fair,” Luigi hollered back to the crowds delight, “we WERE toddlers…”

“… but we grew up to have a lot in common.” his cousin continued with a smile. “Noemi, much as we both love him, it’s clear that he doesn’t quite deserve you. We’re all so very glad you eventually agreed to marry him anyway!” Luigi nodded happily, leaning over to give his wife a quick kiss.

Bellies full and hearts light everyone made their way to the dance floor after dinner.

For their first dance the newlyweds had picked an upbeat funky tune. The pair shimmied onto the floor and proceeded to boogie down, performing an adorable duet to the quirky retro love song they both felt perfectly captured the essence of their story and their love for one another.

🎶For so long, You and me been findin' each other for so long… I want you layin' in the love I have to bring, I'd do anything to be your everything🎶

When their song finished the pair invited everyone to join them and “get this dance party started!”.

Luigi of course was in his element, but Noemi surprised herself by how much fun she was having.

Surrounded by the large crowd of family and friends she’d come to know so well, on one of the happiest days of her life, she felt nothing but joy as she swayed in time to the music.

All good things must come to an end, and as Luigi and Noemi’s party ended, he was approached by Professor Silva.

“Care to autograph this for me? I’d love to hang it on the “wall of fame” in my office”. His old advisor handed over a headshot from Luigi’s days as co-captain of Foxbury’s E-Sports team. As Luigi worked, he added “I was sorry to hear about your Carpel Tunnel, but glad you’re taking it seriously.”

Luigi, remembering that his coach’s own stress injury had kept him from going pro, nodded. “Thanks. It hasn’t been easy, but it’s given me a chance to put those leadership skills you taught me to good use.” He handed back the picture and promised to check up on the professor’s current team soon.

Once their guests had all departed Luigi snuggled Noemi close “So, wife of mine… man I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of saying that… I know that both of us are “seldom sleepy” these days. You up to have a little more fun before bed?”

“Absolutely” she replied “After all, it’s a rare treat not to have anyone but ourselves to worry about. Carpe Diem!”

Luigi laughed “well OK then, let’s go!”

how did you develop your style / how do you find inspiration to draw / how do you manage your time with personal art?

how did you develop your style?

ooh, these are fun questions! for me, a lot of the style developing i did involved, just kind of looking at the art i like/inspires me and trying to replicate the things i like about them; it won't look like the exact same way as the source material but that's what i feel like makes it my own, you know?

it's difficult for me to pinpoint which things influenced what the way i draw looks like (but only because i'm not good at remembering things) but i'll be honest that a lot of it is usually from like the art from whatever hyperfixation i have right now as well as the fanartists around me!

a current example of that is dungeon meshi, the variety in which the mangaka draws each member of the cast is really pushing me right now to practice and strive for visual diversity when i draw characters

there's also just the question of what do i, specifically, want my art to look like? what am i trying to achieve here? and is the way i'm doing it fun for me?

right now, i love doing lineart, and i love the process of it; i love making things colorful, and i love funky colors, so i'll do those things!

for particular things, like the way i draw features, again, i learn and improve with time and move along with what inspires me. i enjoy being in like the middle of things looking cartoony and realistic, i think it's a fun middle-ground to work with, so that's how i draw :^]

(also, a lot of my style evolution, besides the part about other stuff influencing me and what do i enjoy doing the most, is also about just getting better at drawing, skill-wise. anyways look at my apollo evolution boy)

how do you find inspiration to draw?

pftt ok, but most of my inspiration is from the fact that i love something so much i want to make something for it

otherwise, inspiration is actually pretty hard for me to come by these days (but that's bc i'm usually tired and/or too busy to think about drawing lol)

i don't like forcing inspiration, though. i've learned that for me, it's best when i wait for it to hit me in the head and then go into a frenzy trying to accomplish what i came up with lmao

how do you manage your time with personal art?

well, you see, the thing is – i don't, really WHEEZES. time management and self-control are two things i struggle with, so i'm afraid the times where i draw for myself are spontaneous and sporadic

despite his stupid perfect handsome dumb face, i think he has a bad habit of biting at his lips !! and that they're a little bit chapped !!! he's probably always losing his chapstick and it pisses him off to have to buy more LOL

i think he's a really mechanical person, like he could tear apart anything and put it back together. i spoke about this once, but i like to think masaru is a car guy and they spent a lot of time in the garage when katsuki was growing up, so that's where he gets his interest in knowing how his grenades work and how to build them himself and stuff

and grr i am thinking of such a good post that @vampyrsm made about him and his muscle tone and figure that I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING AND SEARCHING FOR AND CANNOT FIND but !!! i love that post SO MUCH bc i so agree !! i think if anything, he has a harder time keeping weight on, bc i imagine he must burn through so much using his quirk so this man is probably eating ALL THE TIME like A LOT. probably as much as kirishima even though he'll never be as big. he must be HUNGRY all the time, i think. i imagine his arms and shoulders are very nice 😌 bc of his quirk 😌 but i don't think he's got like. rock-solid, washboard 8-pack all the time. i also think he's very flexible !!

he's probably the WORST person to watch movies with LOL especially thrillers, which i think he likes, because he's always trying to figure out the end before it happens 😒 because he's annoying 😒 not that i think he's necessarily making a point to spoil it for you, but i think he does it in really small ways, like hums or sucks his teeth or shakes his head 😒 and you're like 😒 what. what do you have to say now 😒 LOL

also !!! 100% agree with shay !!! that he's a funky sleeper !!! i think he's always got his head thrown back, mouth wide open, in a position that is going to make him ache in the morning. DOES NOT wake up in the position he fell asleep in LOL can fall asleep almost anywhere, but i think that's due to his job. and every time you wake him up, no matter how easy you try to do it, he's trying to sit up at attention right away like "what? what did you say?" eyes aren't even open and he's trying to will his body to be wide awake lol like CALM DOWN BUDDY YOU'RE JUST HANGING OFF THE EDGE

also i think he's ticklish 😌 hates it, won't admit it 😌 but right at his ribs, he gets squirmy 😌 not necessarily in his thighs, but if you try to grab him or squeeze him there, he's tensing up and jumping away from you lol all "watch it!"

oh, oh !! and i just spoke about this the other day also, but i imagine kirishima and deku as very hairy dudes LOL that have no problem growing decent beards, and i think bakugou goes through this terrible phase of trying to grow one and just. can't LOL can grow a cute little mustache like his dad but that's as far as that is going POOR THING

a quick look back at may 2024

i got started on this early for once. character development, i suppose.

general overview and numbers

i watched 90 matches in may, 65 of which took place this month. this is…a lot more than i expected to, frankly! my sleep schedule has been kind of grim, so i ended up watching more shows live than usual. i might be sleepy, but at least i've been sports entertained.

nothing super notable to report on, though i have been backwatching quite a bit of dragongate this month. dead or alive got me bad. there's something about those cage matches, man.

most appearances throughout the month

hayata's in first place for both "matches that took place this month" and "matches i watched this month," so, fuck, i guess hayata's the Spreadsheet Champ of the Month. i wouldn't have guessed it; i feel like i've barely seen him this may, what with my Bad At Watching Tournaments disease striking halfway through best of the super juniors. i'll...catch up eventually, probably.

mumbling about matches

great sakuya and nagisa nozaki vs miyuki takase and nanashi (noah, april 1st)

starting off with one not from this month! i made a mental note to include it in last month's writeup, but realized that i left it off of the post proper right after i sent it out. unfortunate, but it's my self-indulgent summary post and i can break my "only talk about matches that happened this month" rule whenever i want, so it's making it onto this one.

anyway! short but very fun match. a blend of goofy hijinks and doing-moves wrestling that appealed to me greatly. the normal wrestler-spooky wrestler tag dynamics? the slasher movie sequence? excellent, wonderful, loved it. i've come to really enjoy nagisa nozaki, i should seek out more of her matches when i have the time.

kzy vs jason lee vs hyo vs shun skywalker vs jacky "funky" kamei (dragongate, may 5th)

i can count the number of times i've cried at something fictional on one hand. this isn't a good or bad thing, i just don't think i engage with media in a way that provokes that kind of response.

that being said, this match got me really, really close to crying. the power of love and friendship is real, maybe.

takashi sugiura vs masa kitamiya (noah, may 4th)

i'm reluctant to use this wording as i feel it sets expectations too high, but sugiura and masa had kind of a perfect ten-minute match? solid pacing, did everything it needed to, made both performers look stellar. masa rules and i just want him to have nice things. unfortunately, i also don't want him to experience head trauma, and that was not a wish granted here. my love for the single-trickle-of-blood-running-down-forehead visual is constantly at war with my feelings about shoot headbutts.

shoko nakajima vs miu watanabe (tjpw, may 5th)

i’ve been putting together a playlist of some personal highlights of 2024 wrestling to show some friends, and i am going to shuffle shit around as much as possible to make sure that this gets in there. “technical freak vs person who’s strong enough to just pick them up if they go for a hold” is a combo that always appeals to me, and since nakajima and watanabe are both excellent wrestlers, i was constantly delighted throughout the runtime. good, good stuff. while i might not cry often, i’m very soft-hearted, so the hug at the end made me Feel.

i find that it often takes a couple of matches for me to fully click with a wrestler, and i think this was the match that made me click with shoko nakajima. shokopilled bigkaijumaxxing.

Daily Prompts - Day 2

The days gone by...

Carmen walked into the living room and saw Shadow-san and the twins looking over a mess of boxes, newspaper clippings, and what seemed like photographs.

"What's going on?" She asks.

Zack, who had been head deep in a cardboard box, perks up at the sound of her voice. "Carmen!" He stumbles a little trying to get up, almost tripping over a bunch of stuff, actually.

"Me and Ivy found a bunch of stuff from our childhood!" He explains.

Right, Carmen remembered Zack and Ivy had gone to Boston for a week.

Lately, Team Red hadn’t been busy at all. For some reason, VILE had been on the down low, and for a while now, the renovations for the Carmen Sandiego Brand Outhouse warehouse had been finished.

So the team had taken a little bit of time off.

Carmen had decided to visit Player in Canada, the twins (homesick) decided to stay in Boston for a week, and Shadow-san (after lots of reassurance) decided it wouldn't hurt to make a small trip to Japan.

Zack made his way over to Carmen, holding a bunch of photographs.

"Look! It's Ivy when we were little! Wasn't she a dork!?" He said between giggles and snorts, showing Carmen a picture with a little girl with freckles using what looked like an oversized mechanic outfit and holding a wrench way too big for her little hands. Muck covering her face and clothes.

"Aww, she looks cute in this." Carmen takes the pile of pictures from Zacks hands, skimming through the rest.

On the couch, Ivy, who had been showing Shadow-san an old album piped up. "Yeah, right! Come over'ere Zack let's see who's the real dork!"

Zack's laughs turned nervous instead of amused. "Aha~... Don't be mad, sis, you hear Carmen, she called you cute!"

Before the bickering can continue, Carmen covers her mouth to help disguise a loud snort.

"Oh no, what pictures did you give her, bro?" Ivy asks despite not making much of an effort to leave the couch. She even restarted her conversation with Shadow-san right away after scolding her brother.

"I, uh... what's you looking at, Carm?" Zack tries to look at what made Carmen lose her composure.

She gladly flips a picture of two little Boston ginger kids; dressed as funky little aliens, with plastic bags on their heads covered with cardboard circles poorly painted in blue and green and black hairbands with two sticks and a white pompom on top glued in each; green boas and fisherman boots, and lots of lipstick painted circles on their faces. In each of their little hands, a Red Sox knock-off bag, well... a bakery paper bag with the Red Sox logo painted in red lipstick.

"That must’ve been a fun Halloween." Carmen teased. Zack stared at the picture, mouth agape, and eyes equally as wide. His expression looked so goofy, Carmen couldn’t help laughing out loud at it.

At least, until Zack started tearing up.

Immediately, she stopped laughing and started apologizing instead.

"Zack, I- I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make fun." He shakes his head.

"That's not it, Carm. It's not your fault."

With the change in atmosphere Ivy’s chat with Shadow-san is put on hold, and Ivy makes her way to Zack.

"Bro? What's wrong?" She asks, concerned.

He looks at her with teary eyes. "This was the last Halloween we spent with mom and dad Ives..." He shows her the picture.

"Oh, Zack..." They hug.

"What!? That Halloween was awful!" Ivy complained, separating from the hug. "Our costumes sucked and we barely got any candy, beside it rained while we were out..." She lists off.

Zack chuckled wetly. "Yeah, but we made the costumes ourselves. It was the most fun I'd ever had, back then. And we even got to use Red Sox bags! Even if they weren't the real thing... and I know we didn't get any candy, but the candy we usually had from our neighbourhood sucked anyway and... really, the only reason I went trick or treating was because I liked doing it with you. And I know it rained, but after the rain, mom and dad helped us clean up, and we got to coudle up in the couch all together and have hot coco and watch my favourite movie of all time!"

Ivy was speechless.

"So yeah... that was my favourite Halloween we ever had." Zack concludes.

Now it was Ivy's turn to tear up. "Yeah... you know what? When you put it like that, I guess that was my favourite Halloween we've ever had, too." They hugged again.

When they separated Ivy's nose was runny so she complained and went to the bathroom to clean up. Zack whipped his face on the sleeve of his shirt and went back to the task of sorting out the boxes.

On the couch, Carmen smiled at the twins. Shadow-san did as well.

He touches Carmen’s arm to get her attention. She looks at the newspaper clippings on his lap.

"Ivy was showing me reports of their accomplishments in the racing field." She notices several news articles talking about a sibling duo taking on the car racing game with their own hands. She smiles fondly.

After a while, she looks back at Shadow-san, who was frowning.

"What's wrong?" She asks him.

He looks at the mess of the room. "Sometimes I wonder how your life would've been if I had never taken you to VILE island..." Oh, oh...

"Shadow-san..."

"I know I can't change the past, but sometimes I can't help but regret you never had this... any of this." He gestures at the pictures. "And it's in great part my fault."

She knew he didn't just mean her childhood or the lack of pictures there of. He meant getting her involved with VILE, being on their hit list, and even the obligation she felt in stopping their affairs. But, in retrospect, she couldn’t imagine her life any other way.

"You're right." She says. "We can't change the past. But for all its worth... I liked my childhood. I know it wasn’t a regular childhood but, up until school, I have only good memories." She puts her hand on his shoulder, in what she hopes is a comforting gesture.

He lets up, sighing, then giving her a shy little smile. "Too bad there are no pictures of it then?" It sounds like a joke, but-

"I would KILL for a picture of Miss Booker wet after one of my pranks!" She says immediately.

It's so out of the blue and so sincere, Shadow-san bursts out laughing, soon being joined by Carmen.

It calls Zack's attention from the reminiscence he was up to, and Ivy’s as soon as she comes back.

you will also find that i am super inconsistent with wordings and also forget important clarifications. but! that just makes the cards more fun. or less fun. it depends on how often the readers of the cards bicker, which in my case is never often. (i've only played with 2 friends thus far, but I have faith even still.)

i also cannot explain the mechanics of godgame. because.... there's a lot of mechanics. ...I mean, I can, but it's a lot of effort, especially when I don't physically have the board in front of me.

Denny.... she's one of the originals. She's not as funky as everyone else so she doesnt see much sun nowadays but! I can count on her to be easy to make a card for at least. As the blurb says, she's not ALL hating birds. She, like, has a boyfriend. It's just very funny to play it up for the bit. (She also is easy to rile up.)

originally this card had different (albeit not by much) art, but then I made my silly memory maggot pixel art and liked it better. memory maggot's a lot more than just memories, but i thought that idea for a card would be funny. and speaking of elsewhere champions...

this is the Everywhen. he also lives in elsewhere. i designed him, but at the same time i don't hold full custody over him so to speak. he's goofy levels of busted, yes, but I think Champions are allowed to be just a little bit like that. For fun.

Yes. The status icon for gay is dr pepper gay icon. I made that myself, actually. In the past I made a whole bunch of just. Dr pepper pride logos for some reason when I made drinking the stuff by the gallon my whole personality... I still have them, and I figured "why let them go to waste?"

This is Pupula-toru, also from Yume 2kki. This one actually has some basis in how the little guy appears ingame. Even if it is a little complicated for a basic card...

See, in yume 2kki, there's this thing called Variable 44. One of the easiest ways to check the status of this variable is to visit Pupula-Toru, as they're not too far in the dreamworlds. They'll be in one of 4 different poses depending on the variable, and two of them are asleep. Variable 44 is what changes other different forms of per-dream RNG, so knowing it is pretty useful for looking for certain things. Therefore, checking on Pupula-toru has a slight rng-manipulation association in my head, hence how it works.

Bossu Birthday Extravaganza (Dec. 9th)

Hey yo! It's time we got around to talking about the beeg boy's birthday coming up on December 9th! Now, I wanted to get this out of the way pretty early cause I wanted to give people who were interested in participating enough time to do whatever it is they'd want their Muse to do. Cause I mean, let's be real, all our personal schedules are more or less up in the air at all times. So I figured this would make things simple. Plus I could probably just answer everything the day of as well!

Anyway, let's talk presents. I'm sure a lot of you may think that a guy who has that much cash on him would probably be hard to get things for since he can just buy up whatever the hell he wanted. WRONG. You think a guy like him is gonna miss out on the beautiful and ego-building thrill of receiving gifts? Fuck no. He looooves getting stuff. Loves it when people think about him. Makes him feel all special inside. Just remember that he is both a man who loves to indulge himself, but is also very happy with the simple things in life.

So I won't get into too many specifics because I am a tired old man, but I will lay out some ideas of what he likes so your silly ol' muses can get inspired.

Physical Media: Books, movies, music, games, anything goes! He's got a love for all kinds of genres. But if we're specifically talking movies here, his all-time favorites will forever be Spaghetti Westerns, Action, Horror, Noir, and Crime stuff because he's that obvious sometimes.

Clothing: Self-explanatory. The bozo is pretty fashionable despite what some might say (I'm looking at all you nerds who keep thinking he looks like the fuckin Grimace at all times). Might need to get his measurements though due to his size. He'll definitely appreciate whatever you get him! Even if it's on the goofier side. Also, clothing would include accessories as well.

Weaponry: He is a sick freak ok.

Food: Whether it's something homemade, you're talking him out to eat somewhere, or anything else, he looooves getting food. If you're thinking of going on the sweeter side cause of birthday and all, please do. He's got a killer sweet tooth and will devour an entire cake on his own if he felt like it. Alcohol also falls into this category as well. He likes beer, tequila, bourbon, rum, Shōch��, Seco Herrerano, champagne, soju, gin, and sake.

Homemade Stuff: Despite what he may say, the Boss is a very sentimental bastard deep down inside. Please give him something from the heart. It will kill him. It will be embarrassing. And I will laugh.

Weird Knick-Knacks: Funky little souvenirs or anything similar is right up his alley. Just real oddball shit.

Besides physical items, you can always just take him someplace that he enjoys! Go for a scenic walk in like a park or someplace nice in general. Maybe check out some neat museums. A national landmark or two. He likes to go around different places all over the world and just immerse himself in the environment! It's fun for him!

Ok Reddit refugees I need your help.

This may be too personal but idk what else to do.

About a year ago I matched with this girl on tinder who for privacy’s sake I will call June. June and I hit it off right away and would talk non stop nearly everyday until we finally got to meet in January, something we didn’t get to do because of our conflicting schedules. Anyways we finally go out on a date and it’s lovely! We talk a lot, and even though she’s shy she still opens up and even offers to take me somewhere else after we finish eating. Unfortunately I can’t go because I already had to push work behind to be there but I was flattered none the less.

We plan a second… ok I say date but we never officially said that it was a date nor have we agreed to be exclusive which i suppose is normal. Anyways because June takes classes in the summer and works during the winter and spring we never make it to the second date even though we already picked a place to go because on my last few days in the city she had to reschedule.

So I moved back home which was too far away to get together. We try to meet up on the days where I’m back to get my stuff but it doesn’t work out.

But the entire time we still talk regularly. So we talk less and less which is to be expected but we never ghost each other. But we don’t talk every day anymore, which is expected since we are both working so there isn’t as much to talk about.

So it’s now it’s near the end of august, yeah a long time I know, and I’m at a festival and I send some pictures and try to strike up a conversation. Admittedly I hadn’t talked to her in a few days and she hadn’t with me either, but that was common for us at that point. Anyways I don’t hear anything so I leave it alone.

And a week goes by.

I think maybe she just saw the pictures but didn’t respond so I text her and ask her how she’s doing.

And another

And now I’m back in the city.

And it had been over a year since we’ve met and over a month since she and I last talked.

I accept that I probably got ghosted, since we talked on Instagram and I can see her stories popping up. I’m sad about it but I just keep doing school work and decide I’m going to give dating sites another try one I get my hair done again since my bangs have grown out and look a bit funky.

I’m also worried that if I keep going out with her I’ll be so worried about getting ghosted again I’ll get clingy.

Still, I’ve never gone out with a girl so I’m not sure if I’m just super into her or if I’d be like this with someone else, because she’s super sweet and usually responded quickly before even when it was late and she had just gotten home from work?

I do find it interesting how many different species they have in starfleet here, because again up until the very minute that wormhole appeared, this was the prime timeline (which begs the question, WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO KHAN??) so that means that in TOS they also technically would have had several other species in starfleet at any given time, obviously we don't see that in TOS itself bc of primary budget issues (that's why Spocks makeup wasn't super inhuman and stuff, bc they didn't have the money to put a regular character in super complex makeup every episode) but this little detail opens up a window of possibilities that I find really fun

Like because of this movie, my TOS crew of OC's has an Orion and two Vulcans in their senior staff (I know I know most Vulcans at that time wouldn't be caught dead in starfleet but they're my dollys and I get to decide what they look like!)

He tries to be genuine to himself and has the de-stressing hobbies of a 60-year-old man in a ski lodge. Often hears thoughts he has no business hearing. Non-judgemental but wildly, painfully aware. Pokes his eyes a lot.

Amon: Croccy boi. Croccy man. Took down a mafia branch and ate his father's killer. Besties for-esties with Vincent. Does crazy stunts and takes multiple jobs by night while parenting by day. He's always thinking about making a better life for his family. Will eat the entire Thanksgiving turkey. Will not stick around to hear the commotion afterwards. Really needs to brush his hair.

Nightmare: Evil Barney grape man. Used to feel bad about making people spill coffee on their bosses three times in a row. Now everything is grey and soulless, which helps bend the ole moral page. He does anything to get what he wants, and his goals are unknown. He has a cruel sense of humor and was probably the kid that paid you to lick a toilet seat. Pokes his eyes all the time.

To be fair, this year is incredibly evenly matched. These songs are all very different (as tends to be with only 7 participants), but more than that, they are all really good. I don't think I'd be upset if any of these won.

Anyway, Vox Populi wins by virtue of being most my style. Rock elements, Finnish rap, Estonian rap, weird funky stuff. What's not to love? It's also very memorable, and all the parts fit together very well without being too messy nor too even and boring.

Paskana is just an incredible piece. It reaches the audience and Sara is truly the vocal talent the teasers promised.

Kuori mua is fun. I think it wins by being outstanding in it's own way. But it is still missing something to me that pushes it a bit further down.

i've been listening to Mania a lot actually. I really personally love it. But the heavier sound makes it enjoyable in a very different way that doesn't extend to UMK quite as well. Middle of the board.

No Rules is fun! It's exciting and it's weird and fun. But it's not the only song here that is weird and fun and wild. I am excited to see where Mr Windows goes from here, and I think participating can only end well for him no matter how he places. Something about it just isn't my thing.

Glow is good. I really liked it and if I listened to it right now I'd say yeah I like that song, it's good. The problem is that out of this bunch of songs it's currently the only one I can not bring to mind. I remember it being fun and liking it and I think if it'd came on the radio I'd turn it up. But I have no actual memory of this song, so it ends up bottom of the board. If it's not enough for me to bring to mind properly, it's not for me.

Dancing With Demons is very Cyan Kicks, It's also not anything in particular. It doesn't draw my attention. And that is what I want from rock. Something that keeps me engaged. Something that hits me in the face and doesn't let me go. So out of this bunch it's my least favourite.

I'm not gonna start theorising on placement because this is UMK and the only thing that matters is live performance, which we'll only get much later. This is just my own ranking of them.

Damn... December 30th... it's almost crazy to think that today is actually here. Even crazier that I'm here to experience it. And by "here" I mean, like, on this specific website.

Honestly, moving over here was probably the best thing to happen to me socially. I met a ton of people, maybe made a few friends? You can never be too sure about that stuff on the internet, unfortunately.

I think we all went through lots of highs and lows this year, but the important thing is we're still here, pushing through it all, even if it feels just, absolutely ridiculous to do so, given our perception of the world we live in.

2023 was definitely a year though. Between college, beginning adulthood, and figuring out what to do with my career, I had one hell of a tough time. But it was sure as hell fun. I got my first car in July, got through my first semester of college... and that's about it. I still haven't figured out this "adult" thing, but I've been told that takes a while anyways. As for my career, I have a general idea of what I want to do, but not really a solid means of getting to it as fast as I wanted to. Which is fine. This stuff takes time, everything does, from instant ramen, which is not in fact, instant, to a triple-layered red velvet cake. Which I... really want now.

But, with that, concludes the 2023 season.

i know no one gives a SHIT about hashtag girlucifer's thoughts or anything also this blog has been mostly dead at least from my own original content for a while. my life majorly sucks at the moment but also i'm super cool about everything. ANYWAY so here's my updated mc in the new game

i really think solmare needs to hire me ASAP. as if i don't have enough stuff going on. anyway so the way the story is going, i am fearful of a repeat of the original obey me! app where it's basically regaining our pacts with the brothers + maybe some lore sprinkled in to keep us from ditching the app entirely. yes, while it's great to see some scenes where mammon admits he feels worthless and just goes along for the ride (eg, the great celestial war) because he's afraid of being alone, or satan's rage, or even the quirky stuff like leviathan's origin story with ruri-chan + "snake" - like it's cute and fun but i really honestly came to nightbringer hoping for the ANGST. these brothers are POST-CELESTIAL-WAR. like not even post. like it happened like A FEW HOURS into lesson 1. i need you to understand that the great celestial war wasn't just something that happened. it wasn't just a thing lucifer & his brothers decided to do in the spur of the moment. that shit was PREMEDIATED. it took a number of catalysts, last one being lilith in love with a human, to ignite the war. they fell from celestial status to DEMONS. the very thing they were born, taught, fueled to hate. IT CANNOT BE THAT SIMPLE for them to just be like ok wig let's move past it. maybe i'm projecting. but i want them to GRIEVE. i want them to be ANGRY. to be fair, we did get the mammon + leviathan fight scene, which was AWESOME. that's what i want to see! we get to see satan TRULY ANGRY. which is also good! versus y'know, nerd bitch catboy. asmodeus beelzebub and belphegor unfortunately are not very well-rounded and seem the same. instead, the writers really should've taken asmodeus weird tendencies to become flirtatious, like it should be jarring to him. he should be terrified as to why he's all of a sudden so enamored with the demons around him. why he feels drawn towards physical affection, something deemed sinful and naughty in the celestial realm. beelzebub should've been ... well idk. belphegor had a lot of potential because he was the one so intent on destroying humans after he lost his SISTER that lucifer and belphegor should've had their falling out right then and there for MC to truly see how broken their family was right after their fall.

i think we all came to the consensus that the 3D models are wack. i really wish they used the anime style or chibi 2D style or something. i love that kind of shit, the 3D looks like just some rwby weird shit going on. but i'm a hater. so idk. i hate tiktok and whatnot so i'm kind of like ummm

the battles take so much longer and i'm so sad i have to start from essentially nothing again for cards. i worked for nearly over a year to get the strongest cards for each color, both for demon and memory. so to do it all again... not fun and i probably will give up just because i'm soooo tired.

i will always hate how the devs don't give a shit about basic common sense in regards to the timeline. if the great celestial war happened like, at least SOMEWHAT according to the motherfucking BIBLE . then humans were like not a thing when they fall. or if you want to be lenient, it would've bene ancient times for the humans. aka no phones, no manga or anime, no "otaku" phrase since NO JAPAN. well i'm not that great with ancient society, maybe there was japan. but yeah, basically with the DDD and diavolo's society being so advanced, it makes it that the only logical answer to convince myself from blowing up is that a demon is responsible for human's developments in society. but that's lame as fuck :sob: i want humans to be like. resilient and the ones who taught the demons because i'm a bitch and love humanity and wish to see the inherent good in everyone please oh god please

anyway yeah i'm a bitch and insane and like i honestly have been going through it guys i am not going to lie i had a fun little whirlwind romance and it's over now and i'm trying to convince myself it was fun while it lasted but i miss him so much so like, with nightbringer i'm like wow can this really distract me from the unrelenting sadness his face brings lol anyway yeah enjoy my ramblings but i know my blog is dead but maybe it'll be revived with this app <- says this but will disappear for another 6 months
