Can Vivziepop stuff just fucking stop it with the fatphobia???
I would be SUCH a diehard fan of both Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss if they could just stop this ONE thing.
As it is, I still really like these shows, but I really wish I could just shake the creators and tell them this one thing. It fucking sucks to get that kind of hate from something purporting to be for my demographic, and it is SO easy to do better! Just do better!!!

Fallin' All In You - Wanda Maximoff x Reader
Summary: An eventful evening in the park changes your life for the better after meeting the Maximoff twins.
Warnings: None
Word count: 1,262
Hey guys! I've been too busy with work to finish the next part, but I didn't want to leave you without anything. Hopefully, now that things have slowed down, I can finish writing and post soon. Anyways, enjoy!
///////////////////////////////////////////////
The breeze blew past your face, tousling your hair as you purposefully moved back and forth on the swings. Besides you, the other kids did the same, swinging ferociously to reach the highest peak, a competition among you all. Though the rest of the kids were older, you were never one to back away from a challenge.
From a bench not too far sat your teenage babysitter, Leah, flirting with a boy while occasionally looking in your direction. You didn't mind; it gave you the liberty to do as you wished.
A grin adorned your face, exhilarated with adrenaline as you went higher, and you felt invincible being on top. From there, you could see a couple of kids racing, others climbing the dome, a mother tending to her crying child, and a lone girl in the sandbox clad in a pink Lilo & Stitch shirt with matching shorts.
The girl skillfully pressed on the dry sand, molding it into a tower shape, and then added water from a bucket to set the structure. You noticed the top of the tower. She proceeded to make another tower before working on creating a wall. You saw one of the towers become lopsided and internally screamed, waiting for it to topple over, but before it could fall, the girl expertly used her hands to stabilize the structure.
Suddenly, the swings seemed less fun. The excitement redirected at the prospect of joining the girl in her project.
A boy on the seesaw thought the same as he slid down with a devilish smirk, suddenly interested in the sandbox. That's when you noticed him, striding with a wicked intent toward the lone girl. You immediately recognized him as John Walker, a red-faced blonde boy who terrorized the other kids. Occasionally, he even stole your toys and went scot-free, his coddling mother dismissively saying, "Oh, they're just kids."
You were tired of him pushing everyone around; you wouldn't allow it this time. With resolve, you break your steady swing to slow down enough to jump off. When you did, you landed on all fours, and from a distance, you could hear Leah telling you to be careful. You ignored her as you ran to the sandbox, where the boy was already lifting his foot to knock the castle down. You could see the girl staring at him, startled, like she had just seen a ghost. You saw the tears welling in her eyes as his foot made contact with the castle. Red covered your vision as you lifted your hands and pushed his chest with all your force, and he tumbled down.
"Leave her alone." You kicked at the sand, sending it flying atop the boy. "I'm tired of you picking on us. Someone has to teach you a lesson."
You raised your fist, ready to pummel the boy, recalling the karate lessons you'd begged your mother to let you take. Before your fist could connect with his face, a cold hand held your wrist, stopping your attack. "Y/N, what are you doing?" asked Leah.
You smiled at her coyly, "Nothing. We were playing, right?" You excused, using the same line he used when adults caught him. He mirrored his victim's assertions, nodding, dazzled, and dumbfounded by your confrontation. "See, I was just teachin' him a few karate moves. We weren't actually fighting."
Leah looked at you two suspiciously before releasing your hand. "You shouldn't be playing like that. You could get hurt. No more, okay?"
"Okay, I promise," you said innocently, crossing your fingers behind your back. The teenage girl, eager to return to the boy, left without another word.
You watched her leave, only addressing the boy when she was out of earshot. "Go," you command, and he scampered away. Only then did you turn to face the round cheek, freckled, brunette girl. She looked at you, her eyes sparkling in awe.
"Are you okay?"
The girl remained quiet, mouth agape and gaze unwavering. You considered calling Leah over, concerned for the girl. Maybe she was in shock; you remember hearing the term in your favorite cartoon. Before you could, another figure stopped before you, bending towards the girl.
"Wanda, what happened? Are you okay?" asked the boy, winded from running.
"Pietro," she whined lowly, embarrassed by the boy. "I'm fine."
You stood there observing the interaction, intrigued by the bickering. When he finally acknowledged your presence, you were met with a blue-eyed boy with similar features to the girl.
The boy looked you up and down, flashing your crooked smile.
"Hi, I'm Pietro," he motioned to the girl, "This is my sister Wanda. You are?"
You glanced between the two, settling on the beaming boy, as the girl shied away from the conversation by busying herself with the sand. Odd girl, you thought.
"Y/N. Nice to meet you." You returned the smile, taking in the charismatic boy.
The boy-Pietro took your hand, bringing it to his lips, smirking goofily, and said, "Thank you for protecting my sister."
You suppressed the giggle, begging to erupt from your lips at his ridiculousness. Something told you the two of you would get along perfectly. Still, you fixed Pietro with a scowl, retrieving your hand to your side. You couldn't make it easy for him.
"Do you need help?" you asked Wanda, ignoring the boy as you focused on the girl rebuilding her castle. Wanda abruptly stopped, caught off guard by your interest. Most kids usually overlooked her presence the second they met Pietro, the more social twin.
Wanda flushed at the sudden attention, eyes bouncing between you two. Her mind screamed, "Yes," she would love to spend time with you, the girl who had bravely defended her. Her hero, you could say. But alas, she could not voice her thoughts, petrified with shyness.
Pietro's twin intuition flared, sensing his sister's distress at the offer. However, he wrongly assumed the reason for her state to be his sister's antisocial persona and not her newly found admiration for you.
The boy took it upon himself to relieve the forming awkwardness at Wanda's speechlessness. He searched until his eyes landed on a tall tree with a red ball stuck on the branches, and an idea formed.
"Let's leave Wanda to her sand castle. You can come and watch me climb that tree?"
"Huh?" You frowned at the boy, bewildered by the suggestion.
Pietro grinned, pointing to the upper branches. "Yeah, to get that ball. Then, we can play kickball with the other kids."
You craned your neck and glanced upwards, feeling your eyes bulge in surprise at the great height. "That's very high," you mused, and Pietro snorted.
"No, you're just a scaredy cat."
You jerked your head towards him, pride wounded by his implication of your character. You weren't a scaredy cat, and you would prove it. You glanced at Leah, still in her world. Oh, she was so getting fired, you thought. You returned your gaze to Pietro, fixing him with a glare.
"I am not, and I can climb farther than you!" You challenged, sprinting to the tree, and Pietro trailed behind. Wanda watched wary, glancing at their father, who was engaged in an intense phone conversation from afar.
Evidently, it wasn't the brightest idea for two kids to race up a tree without care. While an incredible runner, Pietro lacked agility and tripped on a branch, bringing you down with him. His foot landed at an awkward angle as he tumbled down, and you landed face-first on his elbow. Your mother, of course, fired Leah afterward.

ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ ꜰᴏᴜʀ, ᴘᴀʀᴛ ᴏɴᴇ: ɪɴ ʜᴇʀ ᴇʏᴇꜱ
WARNING: BLOOD, STABBING, HARM, ETC
When she first received Nami's Miracle, [Name] was learning how to use her blessed energy. Then she was assigned a particular job that could have ended her life. Sometimes people hate the answer, no.
Again this is part one of this very long chapter. Part two will be uploaded shortly. Let me know if you want to be a part of a tag-list!!
“She’s going on a mission by herself?”
Shoko turned around in her seat and watched a very out of character Satoru talk to their teacher, Masamichi. He wasn’t one for caring for others and [Name] was no exception.
They all trusted in her technique to exorcize curses and believed she could do anything with it. Her power level was just as strong as Gojo Satoru’s.
“Your caring side is showing, Satoru,” Suguru teased and the white haired male turned around with his finger pointing at Suguru accusingly.
“You were the first one to speak about her solo mission! I was only speaking up for yourself since you won’t do it. Anyways,” Satoru turned his attention back to Masamichi, “this mission is too tough on a first year like her, don’t you think? I can handle it within a minute.”
“Here he goes again with his ego,” Shoko snickered and tossed the lollipop in her mouth around with a cheeky smile on her round face.
Knock knock
“Excuse me.” [Name]’s gentle voice was heard on the other side, “It’s [L.Name] [Name], I’m here for my mission.”
Satoru disappeared instantly from Masamichi’s view and reappeared at his desk acting laidback. His long legs were crossed on top of his desk and his hands were in his pockets, his chair leaning back with his weight.
“Talk about desperation,” Suguru teased.
“And he said it was unfair to choose a favorite first year student.” Shoko added more flames to the fire.
“Would you two shut it?” Satoru harshly whispered then the door slid open with [Name] walking in all her cute glory. She was as tall as Utahime, but was nothing like her fierce nature. [Name] was calm and sweet just like her blessed energy.
“Welcome, [Name], I want you to know that your mission comes straight from the higher ups and they requested for you specifically.”
“The higher ups? You mean like The Elders?”
The three second year students could tell she was very confused by the whole thing. They said nothing though because they wanted to hear the specifics of the mission. It was an odd request for a first year like her to be requested by the council of old men.
Masamichi nodded his head and explained some more, “They have concerns of cursed wombs being born. As such, people with cursed energy or any type of cursed technique cannot fight them else they’ll be born and become a special grade.”
“Oh,” [Name] said with a tilted head and blank face, “you said wombs?” She went back to her normal expression of confusion and began to ramble on in fear, “Please don’t tell me there is more than one. If there is more than one, why is this a solo mission? I’m only a first year and sure, my blessed technique is one of a kind, but I just received Nami’s Miracle. And now I’m really not sure this mission is suited for me. I’m not invincible and I can seriously face some fatal injuries, you do know that right? The Elders know that I can-”
She stopped herself from speaking any more because now it all made sense. She could die on this mission. The Elders surely know this and it scared her. The words of Naobito Zen’in ringing in her ears.
“Many are afraid of a little girl like you using such an unknown energy that they cannot comprehend. But if you accept the proposal I gave you, you don’t have to be afraid of death.”
[Name] took a deep breath in and reassured herself that she could handle this. She is the potential vessel of a goddess. If the human side of herself could not handle these demons then she is not worthy of Nami’s power. “I apologize for my rambling. I may have gotten ahead of myself and I show no disrespect to the higher ups. Is there anything else I should know?”
The second years were observant to the quick flip of the switch she had. Their teacher spoke up with the clearing of his throat. Masamichi knew [Name] was a hard-working student, but her freedom was far from her reach.
“When you finish this mission, you are going to become a special grade sorcerer. The higher ups will also grant your clan immunity from prosecution.”
“Immunity from prosecution?” [Name] questioned nonchalantly. She had to keep this front up because The Elders were really pissing her off with this mission, with their ideologies, with their insensitive thinking. They already got rid of her family and the only reason she was still alive was because she inherited the amazing blessed technique.
“There’s nothing left in my clan besides me. Immunity means nothing to me. In the end, they’ll still have control over me. All they ever care about is me, me, me. How do they get rid of me? How can they control more of me?”
She bowed her head and apologized to the tall man, “Again, I’m rambling. I shall be going now. This mission is very important for a first year like me. I won’t disappoint the others.” [Name] swiftly turned around and began her journey to her death. No, she couldn’t think like that. This could be her new beginning in Jujustu. She could prove to every doubter that she was strong and that she will remain.
“Hey, pretty girl.”
[Name] stopped at the door and in surprise looked over her shoulder to see her upperclassman, Geto, give her a kind smile. He was definitely not calling her a pretty girl.
“Don’t die on us or Satoru would be very sad.”
Geto snickered along with Shoko, not bothering to hide the fact that they love teasing him. Then Satoru stood up from his seat and declared very loudly, “I don’t care if she dies! Don’t say stupid-” Satoru closed his mouth upon hearing what he said and panicked a bit.
He looked at [Name] and could decipher that sad smile she gave him easily. Her words crushed his very soul as she shrugged, appearing not bothered by his insensitive words. “You’re not the only one, Gojo-senpai. It’s why this mission is assigned to me, duh!” She stuck her tongue out playfully before walking away with a hum.
Satoru’s shoulders slumped in defeat and he sat back in his chair with a pout. He covered his head with his arms and grumbled underneath his breath. Geto leaned over and asked, “What was that?”
“Right,” Masamichi interrupted, he didn’t want to hear his boastful student complaining, “onto your mission. Mei Mei and Utahime haven’t returned from their mission yet. It’s been two days and you three are being sent there to help them.”
“They need help, but my small, little earth-worm doesn’t?” Satoru picked his head up and followed Geto and Shoko to their mission.
“Before I forget,” Masamichi fixed the papers on the podium into a neat stack, “[Name]’s location shouldn’t be far from where Mei Mei and Utahime are. She may be on the verge of becoming a special grade sorcerer, but she still is a first year. Show her that she doesn’t have to bear the loss of her clan alone.”
Satoru’s eyes widened, he sometimes thought about his clan being killed off. Although to him it seemed a blur with memories converging in on themselves. He wasn’t worried about his safety because he had the limitless and the six eyes. Satoru was basically untouchable.
[Name], on the other hand, was bound to the Elders for a reason he didn’t know why. She never talked about her family or how she got this new blessed energy. Everything was very vague when it came to her. She was sweet and sometimes she spoke out of line, but she was obedient and apologized.
“You can count on us!” Satoru exclaimed and began running off to the designation of his first mission.
……
[Name] opened up the car door and stepped out of the black vehicle with nerves wracking her body. Just ten minutes away, it was all sunny and the birds were singing. Here where she stood was dark and gloomy. The dark clouds loomed over her surroundings and there was a harsh breeze that came in once in a while. She really didn’t like the atmosphere of this place.
“Miss [L.Name], I will put the veil down now. It’s best if you go in there.”
[Name] turned around and saw a man giving her a cold stare. She never worked with this assistant before. “What was your name again, sir?”
“It is Aoimine Senji, miss.” He said without skipping a beat.
“Remind me of what my mission is Aoimine,” [Name] walked over to the edge of the cliff, her eyes casting down at the pool of water below her. She had an inkling of where the cursed wombs were at and how to get them out without any trouble.
“You are to get rid of the two cursed wombs at the bottom of this lake before they become a special grade curse. There are other curses around here, so I suggest you proceed with caution.” Aoimine directed and began chanting for the veil to come down.
[Name] watched the man disappear behind the black veil and she took a deep breath in. “Nami, please watch over me. I have a feeling they plan to kill me here and pass it off as a failed mission.”
The two bells attached to her waist chimed in response and [Name] jumped off the cliff with her arms in the air. Before the bottom of her soles touched the surface of the water, a lily pad appeared. With each step, a luscious green lilypad grew as her pathway to the center of the murky lake.
She kneeled down on the lily pads, the cold water soaking her clothes and shoes. She closed her eyes and began searching for the cursed wombs under the water. There was a familiar energy lurking underwater and [Name] captured its location.
Quickly, the small-like fetus was lifted above the surface with a lily pad. It popped up and [Name] touched it then bubbled it. She stared at it with awe as the bells on her hip chimed with the same reaction she had. The energy with the cursed womb wasn’t cursed energy. Well it had a small amount of it, but she couldn’t believe it.
“It has blessed energy,” [Name] whispered as she looked down at the bells and took them off her belt. She put the golden bells next to the bubble and they rang erratically with excitement. “Nami, this is…your actual child? That doesn’t make sense though. I was told you hated Sukuna…that you were a maiden tortured by him.”
“Gimme…back my…sibling…”
[Name] used her teleportation to dodge the massive swing of a beast. She hid herself among the trees as she examined the curse from far away. The bubble was safely in her arms and she had to think of a safe place for it to be in. Her dorm was a no-go, Nanami would kill her if he found a cursed womb in her closet.
Haibara! He wouldn’t mind as long as she explains it to him. He’d be understanding. [Name] closed her eyes and pictured Haibara’s secret floorboard entrance where they stash all kinds of snacks and drinks away from their party pooper, Nanami.
“I’ll come back for you,” She promised the fetus and the bubble popped in her hands. Her eyes opened up with a fiery passion to end this battle as quickly as possible. This was going to be her first fight with a special grade. This was going to be the moment to declare herself as Nami’s Vessel.
The curse was standing at a stance of 7 feet. It had four arms and a single horn protruding from its forehead. “Eat my..sibling..need to…kill it,” It growled again and [Name] appeared from the tree line with her eyes right on the special grade curse.
“Blessed Technique: Fallen Petals,” [Name] casted out an air attack and petals of roses began falling from the sky. The quiet and smaller curses that lingered in the darkness of the forest cried out as the petals touched them. It burned their skin and the pain was excruciating.
Fallen Petals will keep them away from her as she fights head on with the special grade.
[Name] tossed her bells in the air and casted out another attack, “Blessed Technique: Venus’ Melody.” The bells chimed once and loud, the note echoing in the forest and sending large ripples in the lake. Then a blessed weapon dropped in her hands, the bells tied around the hilt of the golden sword.
“Nami, this being before me, is also your child. Yet you continue to reject it unlike the other one because it pours out an extreme amount of cursed energy out. You had twins with Sukuna, didn’t you?” [Name] dodged the angry child of the Cursed King and sliced its arm off.
It cried out in pain and shouted at her, “Why me! I didn’t…ask to…be!”
[Name] was astounded by the speech, this special grade was strong. It understands language and could formulate a sentence. It had to end here. She needed to kill it here and now before it grows more in power.
Suddenly, [Name] was kicked into the sky. The twin’s shin connected with her abdomen with a huge amount of cursed energy. Her stomach felt like it was on fire and her grip on Venus’ Melody was almost lost. She coughed out a heap of blood and sucked in a deep breath, healing her internal wounds within an instant.
When she reached the peak of the ascent, she wiped her mouth and glared at the twin. Venus’ Melody vibrated in her hands and [Name] was out of the air, teleporting right behind the curse. She cut off another arm and jumped back dodging the strong legs of the monster.
“This twin has no blessed energy, if it did…as time went on the blessed energy would have devoured the cursed energy. It could completely wipe out the evil,” [Name] watched as the special grade looked at her with interest.
“You are sister. You are my sister.” It smiled at her as it pointed between the two of them with a childlike excitement. “Little sister, where did you take big brother? I can be…I can be nicer if I eat big brother.”
[Name] furrowed her eyebrows and lowered her fighting stance. She had to be on guard even if this cursed being was not. She didn’t know what to say to it. Technically, maybe? She was it’s little sister because her mom was Nami’s reincarnation, but-
“You’re hurting my head with this,” [Name] mumbled in confusion and shook her head. “Big brother will be safe with me. You’re too far gone to be saved. Nami- No wait, our mother cannot…she…”
I cannot save him as he is.
Nami’s gentle voice echoed in [Name]’s head with clarification. Even still, [Name] couldn’t say that to this creature. Nami instructed to end it and kill the cursed womb. She felt Venus’ Melody changing shape in her hand and she looked down to see that the sword in her hand had turned into a dagger.
“Do you know what a hug feels like, Haru?” [Name] asked, his name flowing out of her mouth with ease. Haru and Haku, the twins born of Sukuna and Nami’s relationship. Both were sealed away from Sukuna so they could die in peace and not in anger. Nami sealed them away because she knew one day she would save them.
But Haru was far from saving, the cursed energy overtaking his body. [Name] approached her supposed sibling and said, “A hug is something family members do to show their affection for one another. It reminds one another that ‘I am here for you and that I’ll never leave you’. Do you want to know how it feels?”
She was now standing face to face with the cursed being and Haru nodded his head saying, “A hug from little sister, please.”
His arms opened up and she jumped into them with her arms going under. She flipped the tip of the blade and felt him holding her tightly. “Sorry for cutting your arms off, Haru,” She apologized and the cursed being laughed, her body shaking with his.
“Haru forgives little sister for being mean.”
[Name] scoffed with a small smile on her face and she dug the blessed weapon into his back. “Blessed Technique: Holy Presence.”
She closed her eyes from the blinding light that grew in Haru’s soul. Her knees crashed into the floor and she felt the dagger in her hand break into a million pieces.
In order to save my son.
Nami whispered and [Name] opened her eyes to see a magnificent sight. She watched with tears in her eyes seeing Haru’s small body run around her in circles. His boyish laugh was filled with joy and a woman that looked exactly like her mother joined his side.
[Name] understood now. Nami got rid of a piece of her soul to save Haru which in turn destroyed the technique; Venus’ Melody. She didn’t want to lose Haru because he was a curse. Nami wanted her little boy back to join her in peace and happiness.
[Name] looked around and scurried to her feet. She ran over to a small seedling of a bush and dug it out. It was still growing, but it fit in the palm of her hand. “Nami, his soul can be transferred here,” [Name] ran back to the spirits and Nami looked down at her with wide eyes.
“It’s a mock orange shrub and really the only thing I can find is a seedling. Haru, do you want to-”
[Name]’s question was silently answered by the little boy jumping up in excitement. His arms were thrown into the air and he started shouting. She couldn’t hear him in the spirit world, but Nami told her what he said.
“She’s the best sister ever!” is what he just yelled right now.
[Name] smiled and shrugged her shoulders, “I wouldn’t know, but I promise I’ll watch over Haku as well. I can transfer his soul once I’m at the garden.”
No, Haku can become your guardian when it's time. You have many trials to face, little one. But you won’t be alone.
[Name] tilted her head and whispered, “Yeah, I know that now. I have older brothers watching over me.” A smile made its way to her face and she hugged the woman and child yelling out, “Group hug!”
She felt Haru’s arms around her waist and Nami’s arms around her shoulders.
I’ll be waiting for your return to the garden, little ones.
[Name] felt their presence leave with Nami disappearing and Haru’s soul resting in the seedling. She clenched the seed in her hand and teleported to the top of the cliff. The veil began falling and she saw the car parked where it was left.
“Aoimine, the mission is finished,” She opened the back seat door and peeked inside. He wasn’t in the driver’s seat. She straightened out her back and turned around, her eyes looking down at the weapon in a man’s hands.
SQUELCH![Name] took a deep breath in as she felt a blade dig into her side.
SQUELCH!
She cried out when the knife stabbed her again in the same spot.
“Damn it was easier said than done. Their theory was right, you can only sense danger from someone who has cursed energy. Too bad for you, my killer instincts aren't from that.” The unknown man chuckled with a sinister smirk. He let her body fall onto the tar street and she cried out some more.
“I’m going to be paid a lot for your assassination, girly,” He laughed in mockery as he kicked her to the side. “That assistant of yours was really weak too. He made sure the veil was still up saying something along the lines of you doing an important job.”
The man crouched down and his green eyes stared into her soul, “Did you do it? Get rid of the special grade and the cursed womb?”
[Name] blinked her tears away and scooted away from him the best she could. Her silence bothered the man and he jabbed his thumb into her wound eliciting a painful scream for her. His grip was tight around her abdomen as he dug deeper in, wiggling his thumb around.
“I asked you a question, now answer it.”
He demanded cruelly and [Name] screamed and cried some more. Her hand clenched tightly onto the seedling. All that was on her mind was that she needed to bring Haru back home. “Yes!” She cried out and left her body at the mercy of his hands, “I got rid of the cursed womb and special grade! Please, stop this!”
The man laughed and straddled her waist, flipping her onto her stomach. He was so heavy and her blessed technique to heal her body wasn’t working. He grabbed her by the hair and slammed her face down into the street. Her nose had crunched under the force of it.
“You must be wondering why your wound isn’t healing.” The man breathed heavily as he brought her hands to her back and tied them with rope. “It’s most likely because your blessed technique is focusing on the poison coursing through your body. I heard that your healing technique can only work on one injury first.”
[Name] blinked her tears away, the salty tears mixing with her fresh blood. This wasn’t how her mission was supposed to end. She saved her brothers, she lost two techniques, despite that she completed her mission.
“Hmm what’s this in your hand?”
Her eyes shot open in alarm and she wriggled under the weight of the man. He opened her hand easily and picked the seedling up examining it closely.
“It’s just a stupid seed.”
She glared at him from the side and his eyes drifted down to her. His confused face morphing into a conniving expression. “Oh, this thing must be important to you. Eh, don’t care!” He laughed and tossed it to the side, the seedling rolling to a stop by the cliff’s edge.
“Alright, my girl, I’m almost done with you. Just have to ensure the kill now.”
She felt his blade dig into her back and her head shot up with a scream of utter pain. His cruel laugh was mixing with her yells of fear. He had stabbed her in the back five times and in total of seven; his lucky number.
Her blood had splattered on his face and he smeared it with his sleeve. [Name] laid silent after the third stab, her blood flowing from the exits of her wounds. Her body was completely still and the man picked her head up by her hair.
He examined her face and taunted her to see if she would awake, “I’m going to crush that seed of yours, girl. Wake up and it’ll be fine.” [Name] didn’t open her eyes or flinch. The man hummed with dissatisfaction and pinched her broken nose. He received no reaction again and he dropped her face back into the puddle.
“Sir, we have to go now. Naoya Zen’in is requesting proof of her death.”
The man lifted himself off of [Name]’s body and he wiped his knife off with a hum, “She’s very beautiful. A shame she needed to be killed all because she rejected a man-child.”
“Sir, you can’t-”
The assassin rolled his shoulders and began exerting out cursed energy, “It’s time to go, Aoimine. You should also change out of your bloodied clothes.” The two disappeared in the evening light with Aoimine’s shadow technique.
The sunset’s light had settled on [Name]’s bloodied body. After a few minutes of waiting, her eyes opened up weakly.
“Haru…” She whispered and with much trouble lifted her hand out towards the seed. Sleep was calling her name gently and she had no more energy in her wounded body. Her hand fell down and her eyes closed with a tear escaping from disappointing Nami. Her body felt cold and empty, she was nothing without her new family.
Nami. Haru and Haku. Nanami and Haibara. Suguru and Shoko.
Electrifying blue eyes and white hair flashed in her head. His laughter and grin clenched her heart in sadness. She wasn’t going to see him again.
Satoru…

Respect Her Journey
I want to talk about this piece of art that Horikoshi drew that probably has bkdks hissing and screeching at the sight of, and izuochas fist-pumping and going yeaaah! my ship is endgame!
Nono, don't be afraid, look at it! It'll be okay I promise.
It's beautiful, I hate it, you might say, as a bkdk.
Anyway, this was the tweet I lifted this art from.
Oh yes, pay attention to them falling! Some people might take this to mean falling in love, or whatever. I cannot comment on what Horikoshi meant by this statement, because he has proven to be a cryptic little nuisance of a troll. I will however, examine his inspiration for this piece and tell you why this is not him saying that Izuocha is endgame.
Um, incoming spoilers for Spirited Away if that wasn't obvious. If you've not watched it, I implore you to do so yesterday. It's a one of the greatest movies of all time.
Spirited Away: a story about Chihiro, a timid girl who ventures into the spirit world for the sake of her parents. (Wait? What? Sound familiar?) There's more.
In order to redeem her parents, she starts working in an environment that showcases all the worst parts of capitalist society
She befriends a boy named Haku, who she goes on adventures with
She meets No Face, a child-like spirit who lacks love and eats people while taking on their characteristics
She gives Haku back his name and breaks his curse with the power of love
She saves her parents and returns to the normal world having grown from her adventure and faces the future with confidence
Can we please appreciate the parallels between these two stories?
Bathhouse -> Hero Society: The overseer takes Chihiro's name, who becomes Sen. Just like Ochaco becomes Uravity. The public no longer sees her as a child. She is now a hero and they are free to expect things from her, like to fight in a war on their behalf. Urakaka is now fighting against her own bathhouse.
Haku -> Deku: Chihiro gives Haku his name back, just like Ochaco gives Deku a new meaning to his name, breaking the curse that Deku means "useless". Ochaco draws strength from at first, but she has since come to realize he is not invincible and that he himself needs saving.
No-Face -> Toga Himiko: Chihiro fascinates No-Face. Just like Toga Himiko the unloved girl, is fascinated with Ochaco for her goodness and being everything that she longs to be. Urakaka's character arc is tied up with Himiko and her struggle to save her smile.
There's probably more to unpack here, but these are the few that stood out to me right away. I'm lazy.
Now that we've established that Ochaco is Chihiro and Deku is Haku, remember that this falling scene in the movie is the climax. This is where Chihiro recognizes Haku for who he is and gives him back his identity. It is both a hello and a goodbye.
OOoooh! But Haku and Chihiro are in love! a certain braindead subset might retort--just no. I shouldn't have to mention how problematic it is to ship a ten year old with anybody, or that Chihiro is based on a real ten year old girl that Miyazaki knew--there is plenty of evidence to suggest that Haku is Chihiro's dead older brother, but I won't get into that. Look it up if it interests you. In short, it's platonic. PLATONIC.
Anyway, though Chihiro and Haku have benefitted from their friendship, ultimately they are headed in different directions.
Just like Ochaco and Deku are headed in different directions.
So please, please, don't hate this art. It's beautiful. Just like Ochaco is a beautiful character who has worked hard to be who she is. Stop trying to pigeonhole her as the love interest. It's insulting and she's fought that role kicking and screaming.
I also leave this with you. It is an excerpt from an interview with Miyazaki on his movie Spirited Away:
I felt this country only offered such things as crushes and romance to 10-year-old girls, though, and looking at my young friends, I felt this was not what they held dear in their hearts, not what they wanted. And so I wondered if I could make a movie in which they could be heroines...
I'm not saying that Horikoshi is absolutely taking Miyazaki's intentions as his own, but it's something.

Hello Rosie! P1
(3rd POV)
Angel held (Y/N) close after their love making session, listening to the demon purr softly in his sleep. He'd told the spider what happened in Heaven, and who'd he'd seen. (Y/N) shared his fear of holding Angel back from being redeemed because they were engaged, and tried to break it off.
The Italian stopped that shit in it's tracks. He dragged the prince to the full body mirror in their bathroom and hugged (Y/N) close. "Look in the mirror, bambino. We fit perfectly. You are my other half, and I am never leaving you if I can help it." "You are my other half, and I can't wait to call you my husband." They stayed in each other's embrace, knowing that they were truly stuck together.
*Downstairs*
"So like, where are your wings?" Niffty asked Vaggie, where everyone but Charlie were lounging around staring at Vaggie with a varying of emotions.
"Niffty, I don't have--" "Didja ever think maybe she's sensitive about her lack of wings.." Angel spoke up before smirking, "Just like her lack of tits?" He pointed at his own chest fluff, mimicking tits.
"Yeah, where are your tits?" Niffty asked innocently, looking into Vaggie's shirt, making (Y/N) snort softly from where he was standing behind the spider.
"Any other questions?" Vaggie sighed, pushing the cyclops away from her. "I got one," Husk spoke up, "How come every time Charlie talks to Heaven, we get in deeper and deeper shit?"
"It's not her fault. Angels are just--"
"Liars?" Angel supplied.
"Manipulative greedy bastards?" (Y/N) spoke up, before looking down at his Hellphone, waiting for a certain owl prince to text him back.
"Difficult. But Charlie's trying her best."
"Yeah, well, her best is turning out real well so far." Husk rolled his eyes, walking away. "And where is Miss Fearless Leader anyway? Isn't about time for another 'doomed to fail' plan?" Angel asked, yelping when (Y/N) flicked him in his forehead. "Watch it." He warned playfully.
"She's upstairs. Coming up with something I'm sure, in our room. Alone."
"Hmm..." Alastor hummed before disappearing.
*Upstairs with Charlie*
Charlie was curled under the blanket, sobbing as Razzle and Dazzle watched her with worry.
"Oh, Charlie, you look an absolute mess." Alastor cooed, smirking as Charlie shot him a dirty look.
"Ugh, go away, Alastor."
"Now, now, is that anyway to act after picking a fight with all of Heaven and dooming everyone you love?" The deer mocked. "I have enough on my mind without hearing your sadistic idea of a joke, asshole." Charlie turned away from him when suddenly the Radio Demon appeared next to her with a wide grin.
"Who's joking?" He asked curiously.
"Aaagh!" she yelped.
"You have a captive audience downstairs waiting to hear what kind of inspiring performance you have planned next."
Alastor laid on his belly, kicking his legs like a highschool girl.
"Ugh, I can't. How can I face them after failing them all so hard? They came here to be saved and all I gave them was more pain. I'm just as bad as the crulest Overlord in Hell. At least they don't go around giving false hope. " Charlie hugged herself.
"Well, I never expected to see such a miserable display of self loathing from you."
"Oh fuck you, Alastor. All you do is stand there, smiling while you watch us struggle and fail. I don't know how you can enjoy all this suffering so much." Charlie rolled her eyes.
Alastor chuckled darkly, appearing behind the princess. "Just because you see a smile, don't think you know what's going on underneath. A smile is a valuable tool, my dear." The deer took Charlie's face and spread her cheeks to make her smile, before turning away.
"It inspires your friends, keeps your enemies guessing, and ensures that no matter what comes your way, you're the one in control."
"But I'm not. I'm the farthest thing from in control. The second person I trust most has been lying to me for years. Heaven refuses to listen. Even if they did, I can't prove it works. Adam had an invincible exorcist Army pointed right at my door step and there's nothing I can do about any of it! (Y/N) killed angels himself years ago, but he doesn't even know how he did it. So if the Shadow Prince of Hell himself can't help, how can I, the Princess of Hell, do anything?" Charlie asked, slamming her fist into her window.
Alastor grinned sharply.
"~I know something you don't knowwwww~" He sang, catching her attention. "Huh?" "Those big scary angels aren't as indestrutible as you might thing. You said it yourself, your dear big brother killed Angels himself. "
"What are you talking about?" Charlie questioned.
"Just that you and your little band of misfits might stand more of a chance than you think." Alastor toyed with a plant in the room before walking away.
"How? I'll do anything." Charlie begged desperately.
"AnYtHiNg? Then let's make a deal."
"You...you want my soul?"
"Your soul?" Alastor asked sisterly, before brightening up. "Heavens no! All I need from you is one itty bitty favor. What's a favor between friends?"
"I won't hurt anyone for you." Charlie said firmly.
"Who's asking! One favor at a time of my choosing where you harm no one. In return, I tell you what I know. Do we have a deal?"
Razzle and Dazzle growled warningly before Charlie put her hand out, showing her horns and changing her eye color briefly. "Deal."
They shook hands, a green light glowing brightly enough where the hotel members could see it downstairs.
"No, no!" Vaggie cried running upstairs, (Y/N) flying up the stairs, the wind from his wings opening the door.
"Right on cue!" Alastor called, as Vaggie arrived. "What did you do? Let her go!" The ex angel cried, charging at the deer. "Vaggie, stop!" Charlie cried.
"What? No Charlie, please tell me you didn't--"
"No. She still owns her soul; I put a spell on Charlie when she was younger that prevented her from selling her soul." (Y/N) said, lowering himself to the ground, calculating gaze searching the two demons.
"I made a deal with Alastor. He gave me info that can save the hotel, but we're going to need help. The angels can be defeated and Carmilla is the key." Charlie explained as she walked over to get her jacket.
"What? Carmilla Carmine? She killed an exorcist in the last extermination. She knows how they can be harmed."
"I---I didn't even know that was possible." Vaggie whispered in awe.
"If you did, would you have told me?" Charlie said coldly.
"Charlie, I-"
"I need you to go to her, convince her to teach us. If she can, we might have a chance."
"With just the seven of us?" Vaggie asked.
"No, we're--ugh we're going to need numbers too."
"And I know just who can help. As long as Charlie can be her normal, charming self."
"What's that you said about smiles?" Charlie smiled as Alastor pat her head. "Good girl."
"Charlie, can we talk about this--" Vaggie asked quietly.
"We can talk later. Right now, we have a job to do. You with us?" She asked, eyes cold as she looked at Vaggie.
"Yes." (Y/N) and Vaggie looked at each other with worry before following Charlie and Alastor downstairs.
"So, uh, Alastor and Charlie just left like they were runnin' away from their responsibilities. Should we be alarmed?" Angel asked.
"No, tesoro." (Y/N) chuckled, easing his love's worries.
"We have a plan. But it includes defending ourselves against the angels."
"Uh! Are you fucking high?" Husk asked.
"They can be killed." Vaggie started as the Egg Bois ran by.
"Yeah. That knife lady Camaro Carfight, killed one." Frank called, as Vaggie kneeled to his level.
"Wait, you knew about this?" "Oh, yeah, I told Boss about it months ago."
"He what?"
"What? They say insane shit all the time. How was I supposed to know this one was true?" Pentious demanded.
"Bank accounts are a scam created by the shadow government." Frank said cheerfully.
"See!" Hissed the snake demon.
"What's important now is that we're gonna have a fight on our hands." (Y/N) spoke up, taking his role as Prince up seriously.
Vaggie nodded as she walked towards the door. "I'm going to learn how we can fight back. But when I come home, I'll understand if none of you are here." She left with that final thought.
"Look, this hotel's about to become the most dangerous place in Hell, and we--I can't guarantee your safety anymore. I still believe in Charlie's dream, I know it can work. But none of you signed up for this," (Y/N) spoke up, "I am still your Prince, and I won't willingly let any of you get hurt, so if you want to leave, please get somewhere safe."
Silence filled the air before Angel smacked (Y/N) on the back, mindful of his wings. "Babe, we ain't leavin' you. We've been here since the beginning, we'll be here 'til the end." Husk, Niffty and Pentious nodded their heads, smiling determinedly at their prince.
" 'Sides, we have a wedding to plan, and we can't do that without our family." Angel cupped (Y/N)'s cheek, making the blond press a kiss to his hand. "Thank you, amore. Now, let's get to training." The prince smirked darkly, summoning his shadows' and multiple weapons. "We've got a lot of work to do."
*End.*
A/N: sorry for the short chapter lol. I'm gonna cut it into three parts, and I hopefully should have the next two up at some point today.*

The thinf you said about the mafia au and dynamics being unlocked is so true, another thing that I really liked about this chapter is the Opera/Ameri rivalry dynamic they have going and I find it really fun!! It's so different from what we're used to seeing from them (actually I don't remember if they've actually interacted that much in the original) (but them being rivals and fighting each other is so fun!!!! I love it)
YEAH even down to its bones the way characters are being presented is very different from the main series! Azz azz’s loyalty to Iruma taking multiple chapters, the age and manner in which Iruma meets Sullivan, Opera and Irumas dynamic being more sibling/partnerish than canon etc BUT it all feels true to the characters i think! Iruma still loves his family and is willing to do anything (even the impossible) to help them, love trio is still together with secrets between them, Kalego and Opera still have their beef)
THE OPERA AND AMERI DYNAMIC is sooo tasty omg…both are so protective (and a tad possessive) of Iruma! Plus they’ve both grown with him and protected him in the different eras of his childhood! It’ll be fun to see them squabble in the future. I’ve always compared their designs as two red/orangey demons with fuzzy ears, both strong and both people who are close to Iruma, so its extra fun to see them as rivals.
Mm yeah they’re sorta an underrated dynamic! Iruma kun has soo many characters to juggle, its easy to forget who and when characters meet. Thank you for the excuse to gather up their major interactions^^
Chapter 70: Walter Park
She’s in Opera’s group during the Walter park arc! They have fun playing dress up along with the misfit girls.
Chapter 81: Invincible Maiden
Ameri fights a mouse beast during the terrorist attack; Opera observes and compliments her bloodline ability.
When Ameri is discouraged, Opera encourages her, assures her shes quite strong with room to grow and even invites her to be a sort of assistant under them within the Sullivan household. I think this is an extremely high compliment! Opera’s a demon who’s been shown to be very protective of both Sullivan and Iruma, and who finds value and purpose in being able to serve them, so wanting Ameri to work with them shows a lot of respect and admiration toward her ability and person
(She turns down this request but then realizes this would mean she’d be around Iruma so she backtracks its very cute)
Chapter 143: Heartful Cooking Lesson
Opera teaches Iruma and Ameri how to cook after noticing they’re both terrible at it.
Chapter 167: The Sound of Anticipation
This one is small but I think its funny how they both set up to record the Misfits’s performance cuz they both love and support Iruma 110%! And Opera shuffling Ameri’s equipment over implies she’s got the best angle in the house, you could read this as a power move from them jeje.
Chapter 277: Opera-Sensei
When Opera becomes a teacher, they go around the school and greet everyone including Ameri. Ameri’s super excited, and because she values Opera’s strength, asks them to train the student council given they have time for it. I think this is such a sweet example of Ameri’s character; She’s strong, ambitious enough to ask for extra (hard) training, thoughtful enough to value their time and ask in a way thats not demanding. I think it also speaks of her respect toward Opera, who could theoretically be a poor teacher considering they’re new, that she trusts in them so much!
I’m sure theres more tiny bits of them but it’s been a while since I’ve properly read or watched iruma kun.
My thought process is a little scattered but I did wanna mention that I think these two would meet and be good buddies even without Iruma kun’s presence in their lives! Sullivan being the head of Babyls, and Ameri being a top student as well as a child of a 13 crown, I dunno I feel like they would have ended up training together at some point anyway. Probably not with Opera as an offical Babyls teacher, considering they only become one to keep an eye on Iruma, but in some universe where Iruma isnt in the picture and Ameri reaches for the Demon King’s seat yk? a private lesson or two!
Cannot say the same for Mafia AU tho… Iruma’s the reason those two are doing what they’re doing, and I think it’ll be up to him to get them to get along lol.
#opera san#ameri azazel#sorry if this is a little all over the place omg im new to making posts like this😳#i do love iruma kun with all my heart tho!! my inbox will always be open for that lol#m!ik#mairimashita! iruma kun#welcome to demon school iruma kun#mafia au#mailbox

[WM] Prompt 24 — Kid fic.
Rating: G.
TW: Snape being his delightful self.
Characters: Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, Maeve Lupin (OC), Severus Snape, Fleur Delacour, Ginny Weasley.
Additional Tags: Maeve is Remus’ adopted daughter, she’s also a baby werewolf, Snape has beef with a seven year old and is losing, bigotry, slur I guess?, this awkward moment when you went to prison and your fiance got himself a kid and now you don’t know what your relationship is anymore, Sirius and Remus are both dads, OotP, a bit of Fleur appreciation bc i love her.
Summary: Sirius watches as Fleur and Maeve excitedly talk.
Words count: 813.
A/N: Missing Scene for a fic I haven't written yet lmao. I hope you like it! ❤️
@wolfstarmicrofic
—
Sirius watches as Fleur and Maeve excitedly talk, the little girl making large hand gestures all the while. Fleur joining the Order is surprisingly not surprising, considering what happened just short of two months ago — she barely even took the time to go back to her own country before signing up. And she’s good with kids, never making Maeve feel less because of her young age, which can only endear her to Sirius.
Molly is busying herself in the kitchen once again; her children are scattered around, Ron looking more and more annoyed each time they remind him he can’t tell Harry anything. Ginny doesn’t exactly look better either. The twins are talking to each other in low tones, seemingly unaware of the world around them; Sirius knows better for seeing them react to anyone coming a bit too close to their private discussion. Bill is alternating between trying to help his mother and looking at Fleur with a look in his eyes Sirius knows well.
Remus is drinking his tea beside him, his gaze fixed on Maeve as well. She laughs, and she sounds just like Remus when they were young and invincible. She doesn’t have his hair nor his eyes, or even anything of him, yet she is so jarringly his daughter all the same.
Maeve Lupin, taking their old heart hostage since 1993 and onward. Sirius smiles into his own tea.
Snape suddenly comes in like a bat out of hell (and who should have stayed here). He sneers, his usual expression when in the presence of anything breathing. His sudden arrival stops all motion in the room — even Molly turns around with a new tension in her shoulders — except, of course, for Maeve who somehow manages to not notice him. One of her wide hand gestures ends up with her bumping into Snape, and she blinks owlishly at him as she realizes his presence.
“Oops. Sorry!”
Remus puts down his cup, watching the exchange carefully. Sirius feels ready for a fight. Snape sneers some more.
“Should learn to leash the beast,” he says, and Sirius sees red; Maeve straightens up, scowling, and wonderfully unphased.
“You’re mean and ugly and still wear the same robes than two years ago!”
Remus snorts, a low sound nobody else probably caught. Snape opens his mouth to answer; Sirius has already silenced him.
“Don’t fucking talk to my daughter like that.”
Snape glares and glares and glares some more; then, with a dramatic swish of his cape and a last sneer, he disappears into the corridor.
“Why he's so mean anyways?” Maeve huffs, still scowling, and Sirius hates seeing her like that — she’s a child, she should smile and laugh and be happy.
“Oh, he's just a jealous dick,” comments Ginny, ignoring her mother’s following reprobation to wink at them.
Maeve thinks it over. “Because I'm smart and pretty and he's not?”
“The smartest and the prettiest,” confirms Sirius, and things suddenly feel a bit lighter.
-
When they had to move into Grimmauld Place, the first room they cleaned up and decorated and otherwise made sure looked just right was Maeve’s.
Despite the clutter expected from a seven year old, the room is still clean and perfectly lived-in in a way his parents would have hated. Not enough control, probably.
Technically, Sirius has no reason to be here and kiss Maeve goodnight, but he’ll be damned if he misses it for anything. Maybe it keeps making things weird between him and Remus, because truthfully they still have no idea where they stand with each other, and Maeve calling them both her fathers is delightful and not helping at all. But he'll do it all the same.
That night, Remus grabs his hand as they exit her room and close the door behind them; there’s a look in his eyes, fond and hopeful and a little bit of something else, too, that Sirius recognizes so well.
“You called her your daughter,” he says.
Sirius thinks back to the scene in the kitchen. “I did.” He never had before; Remus is the one who adopted her, not him.
For a few seconds, Remus doesn't say anything, absentmindedly playing with Sirius’ fingers instead; he looks almost shy, as if trying to find his words and failing, and it reminds Sirius of their first year at Hogwarts when Remus was still so afraid of everything.
“I liked it,” he finally admits, and Sirius catches him blushing, and he can’t stop smiling.
“Yeah?”
“Yeah.”
Sirius lifts his hand to Remus’ cheek; in the dim light of the corridor, he looks just the same as when he kissed him for the first time.
“Good. I don’t plan to stop.”
Remus nods, squeezing his hand before dropping it, offering him a bit of his space back; instead, Sirius bends down and kisses his cheek.
(Maybe they’ll be alright, in the end.)

I'mma be so real bestie, it's getting really hard to not get jealous of Canary Continuity but then I go and look through all the incredible fanart you've made and things are okay again <3
Fear not, SWSA will always be my no. 1. Nothing changed my brain chemistry like your fic did. I'm slow but I still have so much fanart I want to make of SWSA. No other fic has A BACKLOG LIST
Have a WIP
Not me watching invincible fight girl last week and going WAIT. THAT. THAT SHOT. I WAS LOOKING TO EMULATE THAT
*cough* anyways, Ive shared too much
I've been trying to be better about letting other fic authors know that I appreciate their fic. And canary continuity scratches an itch I've been searching for in the rise fandom so I've been kinda loud about it. Doesn't mean I like any other fic less. Certainly not SWSA. I think there's enough love to go around. But I understand the feeling.

Wrestling isn't a smart career choice in Invincible Fight Girl
Howdy folks it's your old pal Sirksome here. If you're for some reason following this blog you probably did so from that one post where I pointed out Samurai Jack once teased its audience with an enemies to lovers plot, only for them to actually followe through on that like ten years later.
Anyway, we're not talking about that. We're talking about Invincible Fight Girl!
youtube
First of all just watch the show if you haven't. This quietly feels like the kind of show that could easily disappear before it finishes it's story despite being excellent. *cough* THUNDERCATS 2011! *cough*
The animation is great, the character designs are great, it's funny, heartfelt, and references basically every anime or video game that ever existed.
That being said, despite the tag line that "In this world wrestling is everything." I don't think it is. I don't think it's actually even smart to practical to be a wrestler much like in our real world where you can't suppress entire crowds with your conqueror's haki or punch a guy into space.
I'm not actually articulate enough to explain these things. So I'm just gonna ask a bunch of questions I've had while watching.
Such as why Quesa Poblana supposedly the greatest wrestler in the world, assumedly a multiple time champion, in her retirement, has to sell jarred peppers to make a living?
The living in question, mind you, is living in a shitty barn outside town. And while we're on that why is her grandnephew, who should be a legacy that is set for life in the wrestling world, actually a con man obsessed with making money? Almost as if he witnessed firsthand that just being a good wrestler isn't enough to be financially secure.
But wait there's more!
Why is the Pantheon, supposed wrestling superstars' gym an abandoned and dilapidated shithole?
Why do these weirdly hot wrestling washouts have to foster a community and safe space for each other?
Why is Mikey's dad, who was likely a pro wrestler in his day, and walks with a cane (So does Quesa Poblana, almost as if a career in wrestling destroyed their bodies without providing proper post career medical support to help repair them.) so obsessed with training all his sons to be successful pros? Besides the reason he directly stated....or actually just because of that reason he directly stated. Why does he also have to run a butcher shop to support his family and his sons training?
Why does Aunt P even look this old to begin with?
She was still prime and active like 5-10 years ago depending on how old Andy is. I assume at max Andy is maybe 18 and she saw Poblana wrestling as a kid. Aunt P's physical fall off needs to be studied.
Mind you in this world where "Wrestling is everything." The GWC and their associated corporate partner Buffcorp can afford to fund and install a satellite network that not only globally broadcasts all their matches to a remote island of accountants but can also launch wrestling rings from space!
Suddenly it makes a little more sense why the Perm gang were such assholes
These lower mid card jobbers are probably living paycheck to paycheck and lording their physical and social superiority over a town of meek accountants is probably all they got.
Needless to say, as a filthy wrestling mark who occasionally tunes in week to week to watch attractive people pretend fight this reminds me of real world wrestling issues that still linger.
youtube
So, if I were to hazard a guess as to where this story is going if it gets more seasons to tell it. It's not just a story of Andy rising to the top of the wrestling world, but likely, potentially, hopefully, reforming the system that leaves even the best of these wrestlers broken and forced to wrestle into their twilight years or grift to support themselves. It might make some thematic sense that a girl from a line of accountants is responsible for restructuring the financial situations of these wrestlers despite rejecting her accountant background.
This all seems really obvious to me. Maybe it was for you too? Maybe this post wasn't worth making, cause it makes me look obnoxious for pointing it out? Maybe I'm actually wrong about all of this? Maybe I'll never do this again?

Did you hear the recent news on how the Cartoon Cartoons shorts program announced in 2021 has now been dismantled and the shorts won't ever get released or even be picked up for a TV show? To make it worse, Cartoon Network threatened to blacklist the creators of these unreleased pilot shorts if they try to pitch them to other networks so we can't even get a scenario of a different network picking up these shows (ironic given Cartoon Network picked up Adventure Time when Nickelodeon refused to make it into a TV show). Thoughts seeing how bad it's escalating for Cartoon Network?
The fact they won't even try with that program does speak volumes at how they haven't really been gaining originals of their own anymore (Craig of the Creek, We Baby Bears, and Prince Ivandoe are on their last legs and Iyanu is the only CN original coming up, assuming it doesn't get sent to Adult Swim) and won't even use the program to help save themselves with more originals.
I just.. it's fucking depressing. Cartoon Network was my childhood, was my world growing up and while I thought at first people saying it's dying were just exagerating as tv networks are a dying breed anyway, mostly kept afloat by older folks. I still use my xfinity on occasion, but even I primiarly stream. (or watch hours and hours of behind the bastards on youtube as is my standard these days, but I digress).
But no.. it's very clear the network's day is done, a shell of what it once was. Craig of the Creek is over, the shows you mentioned are wrapping up and any future use of their properties is earmarked for hbo max. WBD Has no use for it's future and i'm 100% sure looking at Iyanu it'll get ported to adult swim, which isn't a bad thing at this point. It's clear Adult Swim has solid renewal power. I also shudder knowing Tiny Tunes Looniversity is probably dead and they'll burn off the rest next month or year, and Jellystone isn't far behind
As for this itself, it's a mixed blessing. On teh one hand burning it to the ground and refusing to use it is scummy if standard warner and the threat to blacklist is just fucking awful. On the other... that threat is hollow as shit. Yes it would keep you from working on adult swim shows and hbo max shows.. but at this point it's clear WBD itself is NOT a safe place for animation, having scuttled two whole films (Both scooby doo), ruined an adaptation of an acclaimed manga, and in general trying to wind down for the most part, with only adult swim and now the DC divsions being stable and tha'ts only for now sadly. There is less risk in getting blackballed from warner than there is trying to work with them and most creators still doing it simply don't have a choice: either their ip is owned by them, or like invincible fight girl, they've simply put all this work in and survivied this far, might as well keep goin so their hard work gets released seen and stored somewhere on the internet. This blacklist threat is so laughably hollow it's hilarious. They COULD call other networks to get mad at them.. but if the creators still clearly have the legal right to pitch it to another network and Cartoon Network dosen't actually own anything but the pilot, and can't actually sue any of the other companies even in a SLAPP sense, then it's empty. What warner has always failed to get since this merger is the creative soul of a project: if someone poured their heart and soul into something, it's more worth taking a chance to get it made elsewhere. Olan Rogers has worked his ass off to make sure Final Space got concluded despite the fucking weird and self desctuvie hoops WBD has put up for him (Seriously if they actually helped publish the final chapter it'd not only be way more avaliable, but they'd get the money), and has seemingly found a partner for Godspeed because he's that passionate. Because the work MATTERS to him. And if the work matters, your going to take a gamble on seeing your dream come out rather than a vauge threat from a company who probably won't give you a job anyway and if they do it's certainly not stable.

This is a really long jokey pov post about the book of life so yeah
Uh warning
POV: youre a silly guitarist and you and your bestie who’s LITERALLY a town hero have been fighting over this one girl for years (she left the town like 10 years ago and came back today, also like these 2 gods made a bet on who is gonna date her and your bestie got an invincible medal thing he loves medals) and then you proceeded to like, almost get disowned and EVEN publically embarrass your entire bloodline, go on a date with your girlcrush<33 then watch her die, proceed to have bestie say kys and you then go die, go to the underworld, turns out girlcrush isn’t dead??? You meet all of your dead family members, while that’s all happening bestie is going to marry girlcrush but then, then his dead dad’s enemy comes back trying to avenge himself and almost WIPES OUT the entire town, gets YOUR DAD KILLED, as you’re trying to fight your greatest fear to win a bet so you can get back to the living world, and so you do by singing a song. You realize everyones gonna die so you get teleported back to the irl world and whatever, girlcrush and town and bestie are surprised?!?? you were dead??? But whatever you kick butt and try to beat this big hairy dude and your bestie who might have the lowest arse self esteem issues literally tries to SACRIFICE HIMSELF??? Even though he gave you the invincible medal?!?! Idk man anyways so you and girlcrush end up getting married within the day you see all of your dead family there and like maybe idk you guys also kinda like bestie and maybe hes gay for you too but that’s for another POV??? Also this happened in 2 days

when a character has problems with their parents and the story frames it that as if they just have to be 'sincere with their parent about how they really feel' then the parent will understand and everything will get fixed drives me absolutely insane. like sometimes that works sure but the reality that sometimes they just don't listen to you at all and won't change is also there but most fictional stories have no idea how to talk about that
anyway go watch invincible fight girl cause it's one of the few shows that actually showed that reality

Red Ruin - INTERVAL 02: FIRST ENCOUNTER (Part IV)
The girls didn't immediately spring into action; Blake and Weiss needed a few more details than just "jump down and help the two fighting the Death Stalker", and it wasn't like Ruby could just… put her plan into their heads.
"Uh, Nora's the with the revolver grenade launcher-hammer. Really loud."
Well, not without things going horribly wrong. She could give a… nudge, sort of, if she was gentle and careful and calm, but that had its own problems.
"Ren's her partner. Green outfit and machine-pistol hook-blades. He's trying to distract the Death Stalker long enough for Nora to get a hit in, but that bridge they're on doesn't give him much room."
And as unused as Ruby was at putting her plans to words, it was… surprisingly easy once she got going.
"Which is where you come in!"
"Let me guess: get behind the Death Stalker, keep it occupied, and then let… Nora crack that thing?"
"Uh, yep! Death Stalker armour can get really tough at that size. You need explosives, AP or high impact melee to get through. Freezing the joints is also a good idea."
She could get used to this, actually.
"You have a sniper ri-"
"Crescent Rose is a Super High Velocity Penetrator."
"… that thing. Whatever. Can't you crack that thing's skull from here?"
"Crescent Rose's stakes can go through, but they don't do enough damage on the other end."
"…Doesn't Armacham make a version of those things with a fire dust charge and a delayed fuse?"
"…Yes. They do. I, uh… I didn't bring any."
"I'm afraid to ask, but, why?"
"Because her Fire Dust privileges are suspended."
"That was two months ago, Yang!"
"Still suspended, Ruby."
Maybe. So long as she learned not to put her entire foot in her mouth. Or leave openings for certain older sisters to exploit.
"As fascinating as this is to watch as a single child, could we focus?"
"Y-yes. Anyways…"
----------
When in high-stress situations, the natural response is to tunnel vision. Focus on the threat directly ahead, or the task that needs to be done, blocking out every other distraction around you. This is to be expected; people who are distracted from the rampaging boarbatusk in front of them tend not to live very long, after all.
But there are situations where the noise behind you is what kills you, not the growling predator (or the angry foreigner with a sword) in front, and laser-like focus becomes your doom. Hence why, with training and experience, one can widen the 'tunnel', so to speak. Regain some more awareness of your surroundings; enough that one can react and be aware of what's going on, but not so much that you lose focus.
Pyrrha Nikos was the first to realize they're getting help, spotting two figures leap off the edge of the cliff, and onto one of the taller ruins. Lie Ren was the next one to do so, seeing Blake and Weiss hoping their way down the ruins. Nora saw what Ren was seeing and grinned as Team Monochrome (as Ruby rather insistently called them) got into position behind the Death Stalker.
----------
"Yang, fastball!"
----------
The first sign that Jaune got that he was getting reinforcements was when a red and black blur slammed into the back of the Giant Nevermore he was facing.
----------
"It looks like things are shaping up to be an… interesting year."
Ozpin could feel Glynda rolling her eyes. "The 'Invincible Girl', the Schnee heiress, a boy who acts like he's never even held his own sword before…" A scoff. "Interesting is certainly one way put it. And that's before you get to… her."
Ozpin didn't miss the shudder from Glynda. "You can't say she didn't make an impression," he said, almost to himself, "even if it wasn't as positive as we might've wished."
"Ruby Rose and her sister brawled up and down the length of Patch for half an hour," Glynda deadpanned. "And don't even get me started on how much of her luggage is medication." Glynda's tone softened and became all the harsher for it. "This is not the right place for her."
Ozpin's own voice didn't falter, although even he couldn't keep his emotions from tinting it. "I'm not sure if there is a right place for Miss Rose," he countered, "But if there is…"
On the screens Glynda and he were watching, the fight began to turn…
----------
"No plan survives contact with the enemy."
Ruby struggled to remember things beyond a certain point; the red haze of her condition had made true consciousness a long and difficultjourney, and the few memories of her childhood she did have were all the more precious for her. One of those was a lesson from Qrow; he'd quoted that, and then told Yang and her that people would usually quip it whenever any plan went wrong, as if mocking the idea of having one at all.
Those people, Qrow had told her, didn't know what the hell they were talking about.
Don't remember what the full quote was –some old Atlaesian General said it way before the Great War, and he said it in Atlaesian anyways– but the best way to understand what he meant was like this; imagine you're trying to win a fight in a single swing, or with only one bullet. Unless you're absolutely, completely, positively swear-on-your-soul certain_ that that's all you're gonna need, you'd be crazy to think that. So, you need more; multiple swings, multiple bullets, different kinds of both._
And the real trick; knowing where to use which.
The initial part of the plan went off exactly as Ruby expected. Blake and Weiss dropped right behind the Death Stalker. A slash from Gambol Shroud got the beast's attention, and a wave from Myrtenaster covered the leg joints in ice just as it turned to face them. It roared with Hate, and a volley of grenades from Nora (Ruby wished she'd gotten to know what her weapon's name was) sent it stumbling as it tried to react to the new threat.
Before the Nevermore could intervene, Yang threw her.
Ruby became a blur of crimson petals. The world seemed to be too slow and too fast at once; stretched by her own speed into a smear of colours. It was difficult to focus on anything besides what was directly in front of her, and even then, Ruby's vision was distorted.
So Ruby Rose closed her eyes.
After all, she'd never needed eyes to See.
Crimson unreality fills her mind's eye. She Sees the Quiet Vengeance and the Roaring Thunder, the Icy Blade and Bloody Shadow, frozen as they clash with the mass of ENEMY between them.
(Idly, Ruby noted that The Things which were and weren't Weiss and Blake didn't have nearly as many barbs and blades pointed at each other as before. Improvement!)
She Sees the Untouchable Idol standing like a breakwater against the larger ENEMY, and the Paper? Knight quivering and fluttering beside her.
(Ruby caught the difference. The Thing which was and wasn't Jaune Arc had to cling to The Thing that was and wasn't Pyrrha Nikos to stand, but it was standing. Hm. Hm.)
She Sees it all, feels the Roaring Fire's familiar warmth behind her (and also always, always with her) and focuses on the ENEMY she'd chosen to DIE.
Ruby willed herself forwards.
Faster.
Faster!
Faster!
(She wondered if she'd ever moved this fast.)
Faster!!
The faster she goes the deeper Crescent Rose's blade will tear into her Enemy. The deeper the wound she makes is the faster it will Die. The faster it Dies the sooner she can Kill more- tooclose!
The mass of petals and speed she'd become coalesces into a single point and suddenly Ruby's a lance of red and black, of flesh and steel and bone and Wrath. She'd miscalculated and turned back too early, or she'd flinched and slowed herself down out of reflex when the collision loomed too large, and even though Crescent Rose bites deep and the Nevermore's scream of pain is like music to her ears, the wound is that tiny bit too shallow or too small to be the killing blow she wants.
"Holy-!"
Ruby's faintly aware of Jaune almost stumbling back as she squeezes the trigger. Oxygen and aerosolized fuel ignite in the chamber and Crescent Rose roars her wrath, a 10mm spike driving deep into the Nevermore. Ruby's hands fly across the bolt, a touch of semblance and more making it move faster than any other action could've done, and Crescent Rose fires again.
But the blade's not deep enough, or the variable muzzle break's not set up right, or both, and the recoil pulls Crescent Rose out of the wound she made enough that the Nevermore's thrashing tosses Ruby and her weapon away.
Enormous black wings spread, and the Grimm screeched with hatred and pain as it took off; still too injured to truly fly, so instead the hop just brought it up to perch the roof of the tower.
Ruby falls. The world flashes crimson, and then she's not; now she was standing on the bridge, Crescent Rose in hand, glaring up at the Nevermore with just as much hated as the Grimm's own glowering gaze.
Ruby took a deep breath and planted Crescent Rose's bottom spike on the ground, letting the familiar presence of her sweetheart ground her as she Feltthe world around her. Blake and Weiss were still getting in each other's way, the Death Stalker hadn't been cracked open…
What went wrong, what went right, what can we do from here, what more do we need, what more can we try?
Ruby steadied herself, closed her eyes, and then her mind reached upwards to give the roaring flame that was and wasn't her sister a well-practiced nudge. Tiny, faint, not even the thought of a thought. You'd have to know what to feel beforehand to even know it was there, and only the most basic of ideas could be transmitted, one at a time; closer, away, me, you, yes, no. The mental equivalent of monosyllables.
Ruby felt her sister go from concern and impatience to shock, then confusion, and then a hearth-warm surge of pride that made Ruby smile; two months of practice had paid off.
That's my little sister.
Yang dropped from above, and Ruby Rose pushed forwards.
Next swing, next bullet, next plan.

okay I haven't thought about Black Clover in a While but an idea that's been percolating for a Long time was essentially a fic where baby noelle is going on essentially a cross country road trip to ostensibly become stronger, but it becomes just. her way of living.
Background is that Megicula, after killing Acier decides that if she can't find the number of strong wizards she needs, she might as well homegrow one, and she spends a few years in a Spade orphanage with some Weird Powers, before Megicula takes her away for a few months to train. She, eventually, gets bored as hell and leaves, and Noelle stays for a little while longer, before deciding that this wasn't working and she wanted out.
Important stops include:
Hage village, where baby Asta and baby Yuno find a weird girl just living in a tree and tell her about a promise
the coast, where she finds a girl who has a voice like an angel and a dream like a sun
the Middle of the Woods where Mereoleona is like 95% sure that this is the kidnapped Silva girl but also Noelle's eyes keep turning black whenever she mentions going to Silva castle and her body keeps turning to ash whenever she tries to take her, so she teaches her all she can and sends a letter to Nozel
Another village where she's nearly steamrolled by some fire user. They get into a fight and the only reason she wins is that her fighting style is kind of insane.
She can't control her magic, but considering she's effectively invincible for Reasons her way of fighting is just creating a ball of exploding water an inch from her face and hoping her opponent is there too.
Next stop is: A wall of water? It doesn't exist for other people, but it does for her. Also a woman made of water who shooes her off with the weirdest look of pity in her eyes.
A moving house where a strange old man gives her a cloak she keeps in her rucksack. She keeps visiting that last one, over and over and over again for reasons she can't exactly put a pin on,
Also ft. a lot of cutbacks to Nebra, who is watching her brother shred himself looking for a girl she's not entirely sure she'd call her sister, while being the primary emotional connection for her younger brother because their father is gone their mother is gone, and between being a Magic Knight and trailing down any lead that points to her, there's not a lot of time for either of them
Anyways my favourite detail in it is that since both Noelle and Megicula don't know what a good diet is, Noelle sustains herself on an all meat diet, and Megicula is constantly doing a healing spell on her. Charmy nearly has a heart attack the first time they meet.
#black clover#noelle silva#i think i wrote a little bit for this? but it was in the notes app of my phone so it doesn't count#telespeak#amber au
