this is more of me talking about the irony of things than cpn. but if you wanna cpn and clown about it then go ahead.
i think the photo/s says it all. the distinctive red in wyb’s jimmy choo ad that has absolutely nothing to do with xz cause he doesn’t own it as a fan color. but i guess we can all agree that he came to mind when that red heart came into frame. but that’s because we are cpn-sensitive clowns. if there was a tod’s ad and green was a prominent color, i would clown too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
from that close up shot of the chip keychain — which is why i think cpfs would love to get the yellow version to the JC charm and another red one. even the text jimmy choo in his official campaign photos. the brand has been using this color way before yibo and i have to admit, it gives that pop amidst all the black of that bag he is using. so it makes sense.
i’m just thinking about how days ago, some were condemning/banning this color. which from a brand and event perspective of their rules, i can understand. but beyond that is unreasonable. and now, you have yibo’s new endorsement and the red stands out. if that isn’t some kind of cosmic comeback then i don’t know what is.
and fyi, yes i saw the green version too. 🟢 yibo will always be represented by green i’m not trying to change that ok?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
anyway, congratulations to our young master wang yibo who keeps on winning 🙏🏼

i think its kind of ridiculous to think that homestucks are seriously using bots in this poll because why the hell would they bot this poll instead of the tumblrwoman poll which was the poll EVERYBODY in the hs fandom was actually making a big deal out of . also because im going to be real but i dont think anyone cares about polls enough to rig one? even the bayonetta/miku poll turned out to actually not be vriska voter fraud (most people in the homestuck fandom voted miku anyway) i think people are just unable to comprehend that a lot of people are still dormantly into homestuck & probably just saw vriska serket at the front of the trending disco elysium tag and thought it was funny. like oh my godddd no one cares enough about the outcome of this poll to bot it . somebody with a lot of followers probably just posted about it on twitter or something mundane like that its not that deep . a lot of people on tumblr have read homestuck its not extraordinary that a lot of vriska voters exist. disco elysium fans im sorry your blorbo is losing you’ll probably be back in the lead in a couple hours anyway all of you need to chill out‼️‼️‼️
answering only this ask about the cheating/botting, and no others, because i'm getting a lot of asks about it. congratulations, this contest has officially had all the fun sucked out of it.
Tumblr media
here's data i've been collecting for every poll i've run. it's organized by votes the character received per round, then the total number of votes on that poll, for all five rounds. then there are two columns for totals.
the next five columns, Notes 1-5, are the number of notes on each poll. i've highlighted two posts that were circulated with a greater-than-average frequency even after the poll ended (the loki/JC one because people were memeing on JC, and then HDB/Howl one because it gained popularity following a popular blogger reblogging it.)
V/N is the votes to notes ratio for each poll. it was taken by dividing the number of votes when the poll ended by the number of notes on each post. one limitation is that this was not taken at the same time each day, and so older posts will have slightly higher notes. however, i believe this uncertainty isn't enough to discount the conclusions i'll come to.
i've highlighted vriska's V:N ratio in red at the top. as you can see, round vriska's V:N ratio wasn't even the highest; she beat kaeya alberich easily, and the comments in the notes reflected that.
in round 2, things started to get interesting. this is where i and other people noticed a sudden flip, but i didn't think much of it. she was up against izzy hands. izzy was leading all day, and when i queued the next day's poll and went to bed, izzy was leading by 60%. when i woke up, it had flipped to 53/47 in vriska's favor. it's not a HUGEamount, but it is a NOTICEABLE amount.
keep in mind that every single day, there have been other, closer polls, that hovered around 49-50-51 all day, and which also flipped at the end of the day, or remained 50/50 and could only be determined by tumblr. in these cases, the notes also reflect the split. these polls also never swayed more than one or two percent.
in round 3, when vriska faced zuko, there was a clear and immediate lead for zuko, with him leading by 80%. keep in mind that by this point, all 28 other polls i ran, besides vriska's the day before, never swayed more than 1 or 2% once a clear lead had been established.
this poll went from 80/20 zuko to 59/41 vriska. that's RIDICULOUS. the only way that's possible is if an OVERWHELMING amount of people voted vriska and NO people voted zuko. for such a thing to happen, this post would need to spread really rapidly, right? surely this post had tens of thousands of notes and comments!
the V:N ratio for round 3 is TWENTY-SEVEN to one. that's the most out of any poll. the standard deviation for the round 3 polls is 9.0, compared to 4.8 and 4.9 the days before. not to mention reading those notes also does not get us an overwhelming amount of comments rooting for vriska.
today has also been highly suspicious. it started out with an 85/15 lead for harry. i wouldn't necessarily expect it to hold exactly at that percentage, but the flip was immediate and drastic. you can see the trend being tracked on this post. not at all suspicious, right? also note that the comments all day have been 95% rooting for harry and maybe 5% for vriska.
please also look at the GRAND TOTAL column, which has reliably predicted the winners of future polls each day. vriska has received 49,064 votes over the course of the whole contest. harry has received 64,644. that's 24% more votes. and yet the poll is locked at 50/50?
and if this isn't enough evidence for you, then remember the tumblr sexywoman poll. it is a FLAT FUCKING FACT that those polls were spammed by bots. out of respect for their privacy i won't go into detail, but they outright admitted it.
TO CONCLUDE,
it's pretty fucking obvious that something is up, and although i admit that there's simply no concrete way of proving it, there would have to be a really standout explanation for this.
and besides this being super lame, it's also removed all the fun from this contest. it's a stupid tumblr poll that wins literally nothing, congratulations!
Tumblr media
also, to everyone making death threats in the notes, BOTH SIDES, you've failed my secret challenge of not being rude which means i'm judging you personally. be fucking nice.

Obrigado 😊 @silvanagomes87

I'm looking for a thread on Twitter, I don't remember much of the story, just some parts, but I remember that lan zhan was in love with wei wuxian and they were together but he believed that wei didn't feel the same way about him, that's why the lan moved away from Wei, and after 13 years lan zhan reunites with wei, with lan being Wel's son's music teacher, and regretful he tries to win him back again.
I also remember that lan xichen was the only one who knew where lan zhan was, but he didn't give the number to wei.
I tried to find the thread but I couldn't, I would like you to help me. Thanks 😊)

2. I’m looking for a modern cultivation AU where LWJ needs to question a vampire so he goes to a shady club where humans go to get fed on. He finds WWX. I think someone also posted an AU where Wei Wuxian and he are hunting the same beastie, that traps you in an image of your home. WWX can’t be caught because he doesn’t have a home, so he pulls LWJ out of it the first time. Eventually the Lan reset their wards and accidentally revoke WWX’s invitation. WWX gets caught because Jingshi had become home @any-mouse

3. Hi, I'm searching for a fic, and it might be difficult to find. I think I found it from one of the recs here, but a long time ago... All I remember is that LWJ was living with WWX in the Burial Mounds, and i think there were kids/disciples? And what I remember most is LWJ liking to look pretty, wearing more ornaments, not sure about make-up, but it was definetely against the Cloud Recesses' rules, and the other Lans got pissy when they saw him... Please help? <3 @yumehbby

4. Hi!! There is this fic I want to reread, it's post canon 5+1 ish (???) fic but I remember only one scene, which is in some female lan disciple's pov where she joined wangxian with other lan disciples on a nighthunt (and she was very happy to join cuz nighthunt with wangxian = good learning experience), it goes well but wwx gets some scraps on his hands (I think) and when it was all done and they were going to rest she sees how lwj kisses wwx's fingers, wwx swoons, the female lan disciples gets flustered over how sweetly in love wx are and wishes she would get a partner that would care for her the same way (or just wishes to find a love like that idk)

5. Does anyone know about this fic in cql post canon where nhs gets wind of how wwx is traveling the jianghu, gets incredulous over why he isn't already married to lwj, gets mad at lwj for leaving wwx alone, then adopts wwx into the ginghe nie sect. It's kinda like that fic where Jin Ling adopts his dajiu into the Jin sect after he found him half dead in some inn in the Lanling territory, but with nhs basically. There also was scene where jc gets salty about wwx joining the nie's during conference in qinghe and before nhs could interfere lwj comes to the rescue and he and wwx clear out all misunderstandings. There were several children living with Wei wuxian and initially for a moment wanji mistakes them being Wei wuxian's kids. There's a scene where Wanji plays guqin for the kids every night... 9. For the next fic finder, I’ve been looking for a wangxian fic where WWX goes to the Cold Spring, and LWJ ends up leaving WWX in the spring. Well, WWX ends either falling asleep or passing out, and LQR ends up finding him in the morning absolutely freezing. LQR takes WWX to the medical wing, and I believe WWX has to be resuscitated. Sorry if it’s a little vague. That’s the only scene I remember clearly. Thanks for all the help!

10. Hiii! I’m looking for a fic where LWJ joins WWX in the burial mounds, but it must be a canon AU where wwx lives, because this takes place after Nightless City, but LWJ has been punished with the discipline whip. He hides his injuries from WWX, who is super mean to him. But then WWX gets angry and throws LWJ against a wall, not knowing about his injuries. LWJ is hurt very badly, and WWX feels awful bc really he just wanted to push him away, not hurt him.
I also remember that the Wens were still alive, and LWJ brought a maid who helped him hide his injuries, and wwx was furious with her but promised WQ he wouldn’t hurt her.
I hope that’s enough detail! Thanks for everything you do!

15. Hello, I can't find a fic that is a retelling of svsss with mdzs characters that I've read last year. As far as I remember the fic was from wwx's pov, and there were a lot of interactions with 'the system'. The 'novel' is not the same one from svsss, but is mdzs itself; and wwx has to try to not die as the yllz(?) I think. @freetospreadwywings

17. Hi Mods!
I have this WangXian fic I really loved but forgot to bookmark. Can you please help me find it? I read it over a year ago, so I can’t remember much of the details.
But basically, it happened after a huge war and LWJ was injured. WY found him volunteering at something like a refugee camp (?) and LWJ looked so sad and broken. I can’t remember much. But I know there was a lighthouse and WY took him there and eventually they ended up living close to that lighthouse.
Thank you for all that you do! I appreciate this blog so much.

18. Thank you for your hardwork! Can you guys help me find the fic where JC demanded WY to give his core (Im not sure about this but the story started with the surgery or the core transfer) but then something happened and JC died. The others don't want WY to come back to Jiang Sect then there's a scene where JYL said that WY should come with her for trial something as WY is the last one seen with JC before he die and Lan, Nie and Jin defended WY. Thank you!

19. Hi. It seems that I have lost another fic again. 👁️👄👁️ My brain is a wreck so I am back. Truthfully your blog has and will be the only thing that saves me. So I'm looking for a fic where A-Yuan can see ghosts (you see, I think that is the series name 🤔) So this is ancient cultivators time. He calls the ghost his mama and sometimes draws a family picture. He would talk to someone they cannot see. LWJ thought it was a bad spirit but y'know Cloud Recesses is a safe place spiritually, he thought maybe it was just an imaginary friend. If I remember LWJ couldn't see WWX and later on realized it was him because some of A-Yuan's description became very specific. Other people found A-Yuan creepy cause they can feel that he can see SOMETHING. 🤨 I remember from another fic in the series where it's JC's POV about A-Yuan seeing JYL, JFM and YZY in Lotus Pier. JC was creeped out but was later on like "yeah he's my nephew alright 👍" Thank you in advance to anyone who can find the link to it! 🫶 @fluffiestfluffer

Why was WRH so stupid?
I've been thinking about this for a while and like, WRH's actions were deeply stupid in a way that turned the whole cultivation world against him in self-defence when, with a bit more patience, he could have wiped out all the Great Clans within five or so years and set himself up as a petty-Emperor of the cultivation world.
If I was WRH, this is how I would do it.
A ten-step plan for world domination.
Step 1: don't attack Cloud Recesses. The pretext was dumb and nobody bought it. Send a polite invitation to a Wen Study Term just like Cloud Recesses'. A POLITE ONE! The clans will acquiesce because nobody wants to rock the boat.
2: now you have to decide whether you want to go after the Jiang, the Lan, or both. I would recommend choosing one - both is too ambitious. The Nie are not an option for reasons that will become clear. I would recommend the Jiang.
3: kill Wen Chao. He's useless anyway, but he's still the son of the sect leader.
4: frame Jiang Cheng (not WWX - WWX can be disavowed, but Jiang Cheng is the sect heir, his actions are, to an extent, the actions of the Jiang Sect) for the death of Wen Chao. It doesn't have to be murder, although it would be best if WC could pick a bunch of fights with JC beforehand so that whatever 'night hunting accident' he dies in can be spun as JC deliberately getting him killed out if rage. (now we see why the Nie are not an option. Nobody would believe that NHS murdered Wen Chao, and if WC got killed on a night hunt because of NHS' incompetence, the Nie can easily say that the Wen knew that Second Young Master Nie is not suited to night hunting so why was he there in the first place? Not that NMJ would do that because the loss of face would probably send him into qi deviation, but best not let it come up)
4a: Massacre the Jiang. Nobody is going to object - and if they do, they won't do it loudly. The loss of a son and heir - because WC is still in the succession, I believe? - is sufficient pretext that nobody is going to object too loudly. If you want to be super practical you can just kill the Jiang inner Disciples and take the sect for yourself, but I feel like WRH does have the manpower to take Lotus Pier and keep industry flowing with civilian labor. No need to risk hostile cultivators at his back.
5: we are now one Great Sect down, and no war. Everyone is kind of 👀 about it because they never thought their own tactics would be turned against a Great Sect like this, but there is sufficient precedent that nobody wants to object too loudly.
6: now you wait. Move too soon and you could scare the Lan and the Nie into uniting against you, and you don't want that. While you're waiting, you consolidate your hold on Yunmeng, bringing the smaller sects in the region under your banner. Nothing to see here, just doing what sects do. Make sure your relations with the Jin remain good. Jin Guangshan won't cause any trouble for you if you don't cause any trouble for him.
7: choose whether to go after the Lan or the Nie next. I recommend the Lan, because the Unclean Realm is a tough nut to crack.
8: attack the Lan. Kill everyone - but most especially you want to kill everyone in the line of succession. You don't want Lan Xichen or Lan Wangji rallying people against you later on. A pretext would be useful for this, but at this point is not entirely necessary. Don't burn the library, you idiot.
9: you are now left with the Nie and the Jin among the great clans. This is good because they don't get along, and also Jin Guangshan is useless. Besiege the Unclean Realm. You don't have to go frontal assault, just keep them bottled up in their nice little fortress where you can pick them off at your leisure. This may take a few years, but once they are sufficiently weakened you can take them out.
10: CONGRATULATIONS!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! Important things must be said three times! World domination is now yours! The Jin are the only Great Sect left, and they won't dare move against you and can't unite the smaller clans (whom I hope you have been treating well as you unite them under the Wen. You have been treating them well, right?) . At some point later, you can take them out if you wanted, but it's not necessary. I'd recommend taking care of Jin Zixuan, who is likely to bear a grudge and is an honorable idiot who won't take well to having a Wen boot on his neck. Jin Zixun will be much more amenable.
There are some people who might see your plan and derail it - primarily NHS and Meng Yao. NHS is unlikely to be able to do much since nobody will listen to him, although if both he and Meng Yao are in the Unclean Realm they might be able to convince NMJ to take action before the attack on the Lan can happen. I would recommend convincing JGS that a spare heir is never a bad idea (if this works you can always get Meng Yao installed as head of the Jin later - if he knows you're the one who convinced JGS to take him on he will be loyal to you, and if JGS and Co treat him as they did in canon he will not object overmuch if you kill him, and might even do it for you). If that doesn't work, kill him.

a fic idea I will probably never write because the experience would be SO HARROWING I might as well bury myself first but that I have had since AT LEAST November 2022:
JYL is the only Yunmeng sibling to survive Nightless City. Badly injured, with a whole bunch of physical and mental scars, BUT! Congratulations! Both JC and WWX have died! JYL is the only Jiang who survives.
This means that Yanli has to return to the Yunmeng Jiang. (And also so I can do Yu politics. And also locate some Yu women for Yanli to be friends with. And also flesh out the Yu Matriarch and JYL's maternal aunts and cousins because yes.) 2b) Undecided about how and where Jin Ling is going in this AU because on one hand: I'm pretty sure if Yanli is returning to the Jiang for her three year mourn her husband period she'll want to take Jin Ling with her, but ALSO JGS is in a position of great power here so we have no idea what the situation is here and I haven't decided bc idk how much I want the vibes to just be RANCID and also bc I'm not writing this so idk!)
LWJ, post his 3 year seclusion due to the discipline whip related situation, partially wants leave the Lan/partially Xichen thinks maybe him having a change of pace would be good/partially the Lan Elders Are Meddling Again/partially because Grandma Yu is ALSO meddling, gets an arranged marriage to Yanli set for when Yanli's mourning period is over. LWJ is agreeing to this partly bc of his complicated feelings about WWX.
LWJ brings A-Yuan with him for mental support. Also because has trust issues.
At some point these two scrape together a platonic arranged marriage of necessity so hard it keeps the Jiang from sinking into the lake.
JUST IN TIME for NHS's ten year revenge plot to kick off and congratulations WWX is alive again!
The vibes are extremely fraught and awful because HELLO WEI WUXIAN WOULD YOU LIKE TO RUIN SHIJIE'S MARRIAGE A SECOND TIME AND ALSO CONGRATULATIONS JC IS DEAD STILL. He's fleeing for the hills.
Anyway this is also why I would never write this because 1) I have found a time skip option where LWJ is the most mentally well person in the room and 2) a canon timeline more terrible than what actually happened in canon. :DDDDDD

The searcher and the judge and we appreciate you remembering it says it's not that bad and there's a lot of blocks and I know they're at there are
I'm going to interrupt here and say I'm working on a project that's what he likes and I want to see him on a little bike and his neighborhood or something and not out on the street and you might go down the street with the guys but that's it and he does say that just for a little rides he used to do it anyways on the dirt bike and it was illegal. He loved doing it he likes to ride at dusk and it was dangerous but it was more fun and early in the morning is one of his favorites and it's still more dangerous so I have to get him a sports car I like that too I like him to look good I'm dressing them up just him up damn it. I'm working on the swearing it's not going too good Duke Nukem Blockbuster says I'm fine stop having a look into it and it's only been like twice and it's true. She's going to check in make sure I'm okay there are a couple things about this Johnny peg I can't seem to get anybody to do it at all even our people and I said no and I said they'll think there's a presence and stuff like that I said we need that edge with them too and it's true so they looked at it and they said we probably should do it cuz it's really dangerous because we have to do it all over the place anyways and we're holding off and the guy say it too it sounds wrong but when you're there making things better it's better cuz these guys are having things said so with that said we are going to start producing them and we have factories we have people who are willing to do it and we're going to help out and get it going and he says congratulations and it's good
Hera
We need to get these going in much more aggressively. He wants that car and he wants someone to drive it and that would be BG down to Monaco so we're going to take a look at that

JC adopts stray/rouge cultivators after the war au to cope with the destruction of lotus pier. also i love your writing so much!!
Gratuitously Acquired - ao3

At first, he took anyone who would join, needing numbers – needing people. There were plenty of cultivators that wanted to be associated with a great sect. Plenty, too, that were barely more than criminals, wanting to use the smoke and ash of war to obscure the past, to cover up old crimes and wash themselves clean.
Jiang Cheng wasn’t in any position to refuse them. Soldiers were soldiers.
After the war ended, though…
Some he cast out. Others, even more despicable, he slaughtered for what they’d done.
A few –
“Yan Qiao.”
The female cultivator in question, who had been sneaking out of the still mostly ruined Lotus Pier at night in flagrant violation of curfew, froze in her tracks.
“Uh,” she said. “Sect Leader Jiang. Fancy finding you…here…now…at this time…”
Jiang Cheng looked at the basket of buns in her hands. “You’re stealing leftovers from our kitchens to feed orphans among the common people,” he said. “Again.”
She blushed. “No one wants them now that there’s better available, Sect Leader! Really, they’ll only go stale, and then rot – and I never stole when it was the army eating them!”
“That’s not the point,” Jiang Cheng said irritably. “Tell me, how in the name of heavens did you really get branded as a criminal? Distributed too many alms? Did too much charity?”
Yan Qiao coughed, turning red. “I told you before, Sect Leader. I killed a man.”
“He must have done something particularly heinous, then. You’re shitat killing.”
“Now I am. Sect Leader, if you don’t mind…”
“You’re one of the ones who wants my surname, right?” he interrupted. “Consider it granted.”
Yan Qiao – no, he supposed he’d better start thinking of her as Jiang Qiao – gaped at him. “But…Sect Leader!”
“I’ve barely granted it to anyone, so you’d better live up to it, you hear me?” Jiang Cheng said in his best threatening voice. He’d been assured by several people that it was really quite threatening, anyway. “I don’t want any excuses. Now go feed your damn orphans, and in the morning I want a report on how you think we can do it in a more structured manner. I can’t have you sneaking off every night anymore! Now that you’re a Jiang, you’re going to have work.”

When they were done with war and started firmly on rebuilding, the Jiang sect’s name was firmly reestablished as a Great Sect once more, it was the opportunists that came.
Smiling faces, sycophantic voices, cowards one and all – like beetles crawling out of the woodwork, not willing to risk their lives, but willing enough to beg for scraps and advantages later on when it seemed safe enough to do so.
Jiang Cheng wanted to chase them all away, but his sect was still weaker than he wanted to admit, still rebuilding, still more army than civilian operation. They had valiant soldiers by the dozen, but they needed more than that. They needed administrators, supervisors, artisans, smiths, merchants, laundry-women…
They needed workers. The ones they got – well, cowards they might be, but skills they had.
He still rejected most of the worst of them.
Most.
“Bo Zhou,” he said, inspecting the surprisingly flush list of taxes they’d collected that quarter, and the man in question turned to grin unrepentantly at him. “You’d tell me if you were a con artist in a previous life, right?”
“A previous life, Sect Leader?” Bo Zhou said. He was still grinning, but then, he was always grinning. He had a crooked leg and an even more crooked heart, and he’d probably steal candy from little children if he happened to have a hankering, but he was amazing at getting people to do what he wanted. Too amazing, really. “Why limit yourself? What about thislife?”
“…Bo Zhou. Tell me you aren’t a former con artist.”
“I may or may not have had a sideline selling snake oil and protective talismans before I became a cultivator,” Bo Zhou admitted cheerfully, and Jiang Cheng pinched the bridge of his nose – less out of actual irritation and more to keep from actually laughing. The only person he knew that was more shameless than Bo Zhou was Wei Wuxian; he couldn’t wait to introduce them once Wei Wuxian stopped skulking around in wine shops long enough to get back to doing his job as Jiang Cheng’s head disciple and right hand. “Who would’ve known that making all those fake talismans ended up making me pretty good at making actual talismans when I became a cultivator? Really, who could have called that?”
Jiang Cheng rolled his eyes. “Who taught you how to cultivate, anyway? Can I – I don’t know – seek vengeance on behalf of the rest of the world or something?”
Bo Zhou rolled his eyes right back at him. Shameless! “Is this about the taxes? Just be happy I got them all!”
“I can’t just be happy! What if this money is stolen property?”
“Don’t be ridiculous, Sect Leader. They’re what we shouldbe getting, and from all the right people. You told me this was the right amount yourself!”
“Yes, but no one ever actually pays the full amount!” Jiang Cheng enjoyed the way Bo Zhou’s jaw dropped. “I just wanted to see if you could actually do it.”
“I’m hurt at your lack of trust.” Bo Zhou paused, considering. “Also a little impressed at you for keeping a straight enough face to trick me. Well done, Sect Leader.”
“Yeah,” Jiang Cheng said. “You too, Jiang Zhou.”
“It’s Bo…” He trailed off, comprehension arriving and speech departing, and this time he didn’t have a quick retort. He’d been nagging Jiang Cheng on and off for the Jiang surname for the last few weeks, more joking than anything else – he knew that Jiang Cheng hadn’t given his surname to the vast majority of the new people in his sect, only the very few he thought were worth it.
Jiang Cheng enjoyed the newly dubbed Jiang Zhou’s moment of speechlessness thoroughly, since he was moderately sure he wasn’t going to get another one anytime in the next – ever, possibly.
“You proved your worth and your trustworthiness,” he said, patting Jiang Zhou on the shoulder. It occurred to him that he should probably come up with a courtesy name for the man, although he wasn’t sure the man would want one. “Also, congratulations, you’re now the person in charge of tax collection. See if you can think up some new thoughts about supplementing our income, will you? We have so many costs, and I don’t want to rely on Lanling Jin more than I can help it, not like Gusu Lan…”
“Oh, really?” Jiang Zhou interrupted, abruptly excited. “I have so many ideas! How ethical do you want to be about this?”
Jiang Cheng paused. “…very?”
“Be reasonable, Sect Leader!”
“…moderately?” he tried, a little more desperately.
“I can work with moderately. I don’t suppose you’d accept ‘thin and barely plausible veneer’?”
“No.”
“Oh well. Moderately ethical it is!”

Most of the Jiang sect was slaughtered during the attack on the Lotus Pier. Disciples Jiang Cheng had grown up with his whole life, had expected to see by his side in the future, his friends, his family, even his petty childhood enemies – all gone.
Well, not all gone. There were some Jiang disciples that had been away from Lotus Pier at the time, whether on some errand or a night-hunt or other reasons; they rushed back to his side as soon as they could, of course, and formed the core of Jiang Chengs new Jiang sect. When he’d felt utterly alone, when even Wei Wuxian was missing, they had been there for him. They’d preserved their lives and then they’d promised them to him, and it wasn’t until they knelt before him that he really felt like a Sect Leader.
There was no way he could give any of them up now.
“Jiang Meimei, you can’t go,” he said, having completely abandoned all shame in favor of clutching at her robes as if he were a child. “I need you!”
“I’m not even a proper Jiang disciple!” she exclaimed, exasperated – or possibly just annoyed that her grand plan to sneak out in the middle of the night had been stymied by his ambush. “Just because my surname is still Jiang doesn’t mean I didn’t get kicked out, remember?”
“I thought you just left,” Jiang Cheng said, temporarily distracted. “No one ever really talked much about it, actually, but to the extent anyone did, they said that you’d decided that your inclinations were more suited to being a rogue cultivator. That you didn’t want to be weighed down by sect expectations –”
“Hah!” Jiang Meimei tossed her head. “As if it wouldn’t be better to be a roving sect cultivator than a rogue cultivator! I won’t deny that I had a fair bit of wanderlust in my youth –”
“You’re only ten years older than me, you’re not that old.”
“Shut up, brat.”
“You can’t tell me to shut up, I’m your sect leader.”
“You’re my baby cousin is what you are, and, again, I’m actually not part of the Jiang sect!”
“That’s ridiculous,” Jiang Cheng argued. “You’ve been at my side during the entire Sunshot Campaign.”
“I wasn’t going to let my baby cousin get himself murdered, now was I?” Jiang Meimei sniffed. “But I’m still a rogue cultivator. They kicked me out when I wouldn’t accept a marriage, and I’m still firm on that.”
Jiang Cheng blinked. “Wait, you don’t want to be married? Really?” he asked, concerned. “But what about poor Liu Lingling? You shouldn’t be sleeping with her if you don’t intend to be serious about it! I’m pretty sure she’s just waiting for the current project you’re working on to finish to find a matchmaker to exchange birth characters –”
“They wanted me to marry a man,” Jiang Meimei clarified, but her habitual frown had eased considerably; she looked almost on the verge of a smile. “A-Cheng, you’re being dense again. You’re the Sect Leader of a Great Sect now. You know that that means you need to have alliances, marriage contacts with other sects, and that means using your subsidiary branches.”
“Jiang Meimei, you’re the one being dense,” Jiang Cheng said. “You think I’d force you into a marriage? I don’t have subsidiary branches. I barely have a sect, even after all this time. I’m not Wen Ruohan, handing out my surname to anyone who wants it – I only give it to the ones that matter, the ones I want to keep, and those of you that actually share my blood are even rarer, even more precious. How could I give you away?”
Jiang Meimei pursed her lips.
“I really do need you,” Jiang Cheng said quietly. “You weren’t part of the Jiang sect at all, not really, but you still came to help me – you were there from the beginning of the Sunshot Campaign, and you’ve never strayed, never left. You’re my right hand. I can’t do without you.”
Jiang Meimei turned her head away. “It’s not that I want to leave you,” she said. “But becoming a rogue cultivator was hard enough the first time. I couldn’t rely on any of the things that I had always had, everything always changing. I was young and angry then, I could handle it, but things are different now. I’m less flexible, less compromising, older, more tired – I can’t just walk out on a whim and just rough it anymore. I have a girl who, yes, I want to eventually marry; I want to have children. I need certainty. Are you going to give it to me?”
Jiang Cheng looked down at his hands. He’d known it was going to have to come to this, but he’d been dragging his feet, not wanting to succumb to a reality that already existed. Had existed for longer than he wanted to admit, as if simply denying it would mean that it wasn’t the truth.
Like a child.
“Yes,” he said, though it tore his heart out of his chest to do it. “I will. Jiang Meimei…will you take the position of Head Disciple?”
Wei Wuxian wasn’t coming back. Jiang Cheng had already cast him out of the sect, just like Jiang Meimei had been, except in Wei Wuxian’s case it had been something that Wei Wuxian himself had demanded. He was living in Yiling now, and by all reports was quite happy there with his little Wen sect family that he’d picked over Jiang Cheng and all his family.
He was never coming back.
It was time to move on.
“Yes,” she said, and shoved her pack into his chest. “Now go unpack that for me. Consider it payment for driving me to extreme measures!”
“I’m your sect leader, you know,” he grumbled. “Officially, now. You could show me some respect.”
“Would you rather pay for my wedding down the line?”
“I’m going, I’m going!” And then, as he scurried over away, he shouted over his shoulder: “As if I wouldn’t be paying for it anyway! You think my Head Disciple’s going to be married in anything other than top style? Better start planning…”
“Don’t rush me! Brat!”

Jin Ling wasn’t surnamed Jiang, but he was the most important person in all of the Lotus Pier – and Jiang Cheng wanted to make sure everyone knew it. It hadn’t been easy for him to get the chance to help care for Jin Ling, especially here, so far away from home; Jiang Cheng had expected to barely be allowed to visit, to have to cool his heels outside of Lanling City begging just for a glimpse of him. Being able to take him home to raise for half the year, even if it was due to the dangerous infighting amongst Lanling Jin, was more than he’d ever dreamed.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t clear that Jin Ling himself agreed.
“He’s still crying,” Jiang Cheng muttered, rubbing his eyes. “Surely he’s got to stop sometime? I mean, just – physically?”
“They say a boy resembles his mother’s brother,” Jiang Meimei said, echoing the gesture. “If he’s got your lungs and stamina, Sect Leader, we’re doomed.”
“I’m rethinking the whole having children thing,” Liu Lingling said blearily, having fallen asleep on her soon-to-be wife’s shoulder several times, only to be woken up by the next round of crying. “I need sleep.”
“Go get some, both of you,” Jiang Cheng ordered. When his cousin scowled at him, he scowled back. “I’m serious. If he keeps this up, we’re going to need to go into shifts. I can last a bit longer.”
“That’s a filthy lie.”
“It is not. Your sect leader has given you an order – get to it!”
It was a filthy lie.
Jiang Cheng opened his eyes when the crink in his neck grew too irritating to ignore, at which point he realized he’d been asleep – and, more importantly, that Jin Ling was somehow not crying.
He sat up with a start, suddenly terrified: had something happened to him? Had he been silenced forever? Had Jiang Cheng failed this one last duty he had to his sister?
“Shhh, little one,” someone was whispering, not far away. “Let me tell you the one about the Weaver Girl and the Cowherd, yeah? You seem like someone who’d appreciate stars. It all started –”
Jiang Cheng went to go look.
A teenage girl was rocking Jin Ling in her arms and telling him a story in murmured tones, and Jin Ling was yawning and trying to gnaw on her shirt. She wasn’t even a cultivator, as far as Jiang Cheng could tell. Her clothing suggested some level of poverty, her accent the countryside – how’d she even end up here?
He wasn’t sure he cared.
Jiang Cheng didn’t want to disturb her, but he did anyway; a shift of his weight, a scuffling of his feet, and the floor creaked. The girl jumped, startled, but luckily Jin Ling was already most of the way asleep and just grumbled a little instead of starting to screech.
“How’d you do that?” Jiang Cheng asked, nodding at Jin Ling. “Make him stop crying.”
“My mother had seven kids after me,” the girl said, answering automatically. “And her sister had six. Someone had to learn to deal with all those babies, and it ended up being me. Think it’s just habit after this long.”
Jiang Cheng couldn’t handle one baby. He couldn’t even imagine.
That’s when the girl seemed to remember herself, and bit her lip. “Uh, sorry,” she said, hanging her head. “I heard him crying and I couldn’t resist...I’m pretty sure I’m not supposed to be here. It was an accident.”
“How did you get here?” Jiang Cheng asked, because accidental or not, a security breach was still a security breach. “And who are you, anyway?”
“My name’s A-Hua. I’m here to work in the kitchens, just got hired this morning; the fourth cook is my uncle’s wife’s cousin, she got me a job, said it was a good place to start – I was trying to find my way out so I could go to the servant’s quarters to get some sleep, but then I got lost…”
More likely she’d decided it was better to try to stay somewhere indoors than go out in the pouring rain to try to find her way to the right set of quarters, Jiang Cheng thought to himself. “Give me your hand.”
“Uh. What?”
He ignored her stare, took her hand and felt her pulse. There was a little bit of natural talent there, though not much; she might, if she tried hard enough, become a cultivator, but she’d never be more than a servant.
Unless, of course, she did something unusual to impress someone.
“Forget the kitchens,” Jiang Cheng told her. “You’re hired on a provisional basis to keep an eye on Jin Ling.”
The girl nodded, eyes wide as saucers. “Can you – do that?”
Jiang Cheng rolled his eyes. “Yes, I can. What’s your surname? You can’t go around being called A-Hua, we have at least seven people that I know of that go by that name.”
The girl looked distressed.
She probably didn’t have a proper surname. Some people in the countryside didn’t.
But they really couldn’t go around shouting “A-Hua” every time Jin Ling was crying, which was basically all the time.
“Fine,” he said, giving in. “Do well, and I’ll consider letting you use mine. But only if you do well!”

Jiang Cheng was covered in mud thanks to a successful-but-at-what-cost night hunt and angry about it, stomping around the lotus pools on his way back to town, when he heard the familiar sounds of someone having a panic attack.
He slowed, involuntarily, and took a look: it was some teenager dressed in black, heaving miserably by a tree.
Jiang Meimei had once said that Jiang Cheng was a bit weak when it came to teenagers.
Jiang Cheng said that was nonsense.
Jiang Hua chimed in, quite loyally (if perhaps not with the best timing), and said he wasn’t.
Jiang Cheng yielded the argument at once to keep Jiang Meimei from laughing herself sick.
In view of that, he was better off ignoring the kid. After all, what was it to him that some kid was having a fit of anxiety right next the same old lotus pool that he used to have his own teenage fits of anxiety next to, under the shade of the same old tree that had sheltered him – one of the few places that remained untouched by the Wen sect’s aggression, one of the few places that was exactly the same?
Jiang Cheng groaned and walked over. “Okay, fine. What’s your problem?”
The kid looked up at him. He had dark circles under his eyes. “I think my heart’s about to explode.”
“That’s just the anxiety,” Jiang Cheng said, and sat down next to him. “What’s causing the anxiety? Don’t say that someone is better than you and your parents are disappointed in you.”
“What?” the kid blinked. “No, it’s not – it’s not that. I’m about to screw up the very first job I ever got.”
Jiang Cheng considered that. It was just different enough from his own issues that he didn’t suspect a plot, and yet close enough that he might actually be able to offer some expertise.
“Do you want to talk about it?” he asked reluctantly.
“Not to some mud-man,” the kid said, and – hey! It wasn’t that bad. He thought, anyway. Actually, it probably was that bad. “I just…I’m the only one left. I have to make something of myself!”
Jiang Cheng’s eye twitched. “What do you mean, you’re the only one left?”
The kid stuttered through his story. It wasn’t as bad as Jiang Cheng had initially feared, but it was still pretty bad – his small village had had bad harvests, and there had been starvation, a bad winter; the kid had been sent out to get help, but it had taken too long and he’d arrived back to find them all already gone. He’d been lost, but some traveling cultivator had agreed to take him on as a disciple provided he proved himself, had taught him all sorts of skills, cultivation and talisman-writing and music –
“Music?” Jiang Cheng asked. “Not the sword?”
“There was only the one,” the kid explained. “Obviously he kept it for himself.”
Jiang Cheng didn’t think much of that – surely this cultivator, whoever he ws, could have shared, just long enough to teach? – but he didn’t comment. It seemed fairly clear that the kid didn’t actually think very highly of his teacher, although he was very earnestly trying to be appropriately filial.
It was a little cute.
“…and I was supposed to wait here for someone when they came by here, some fancy rich person, and then get them to follow me, but it’s been ages and no one’s come by at all!” the kid wailed. “I’m such a screw up!”
“You don’t even know who you’re waiting for?” Jiang Cheng asked, and the kid shook his head. “How were you supposed to get them to follow you, then?”
The kid scratched his nose. “My master said that if I showed off some of my cultivation, they’d follow me right away.”
Jiang Cheng suppressed a smirk. “It must be very impressive cultivation, then.”
“…not really. I only know one trick,” the kid admitted. “But it’s not that hard, and it looks impressive – here, see, wait; give me a second, I just need to whistle –”
Zidian crackled to life on Jiang Cheng’s finger before the kid finished the first stanza.
“Stop that!” he cried out, leaping to his feet, and – startled – the kid stopped, blinking owlishly at him. “Is that what your master taught you?!”
“Yes?” the kid said. “Did I do it wrong?”
Jiang Cheng gnashed his teeth. “That’s demonic cultivation. Never do that, okay? Ever.”
“But then how am I supposed to get the fancy rich person to follow me, assuming he ever showed?”
Jiang Cheng’s eyes narrowed. If he hadn’t tripped over that branch and fallen into the mud – if he hadn’t taken an extra half-shichen to struggle out of the mire – if he’d walked by in all his usual finery, rich person that he was, and seen some kid practicing demonic cultivation…
He’d have given chase in a heartbeat.
More to the point, everyone knew he would. His reputation had been pretty much set in stone by this point.
“Let’s go find that master of yours,” he said. “Right now.”
Of course, that ended up leading Jiang Cheng straight into the bastard’s trap, which would have been a problem except that he’d taken the time to send someone to tell Jiang Qiao, who’d been waiting for him back in town, that he’d be a bit late and not to worry, just wait where she was.
She’d ignored his instructions and arrived just in time to knife the demonic cultivator – a human trafficker whose operations Jiang Cheng had shut down with extreme viciousness only a few months before – right in the belly, gutting him like a fish in a swift easy motion.
“I think I’m getting the hang of it again,” she said, smiling at the knife, and Jiang Cheng made a mental note to ask exactly how manymen she’d killed to get that criminal brand of hers, except the poor kid was sinking down to his knees with a horrified look and, shit, that horrible bastard, evil as he might have been, was probably the last person the kid had in this whole rotten world, wasn’t he?
“Does Jiang Hua still have those beginner manuals we dug up for her?” Jiang Cheng asked, and Jiang Qiao nodded. “Good. Tell her that starting today, Jiang Jianwen here’s her little brother. She’s been pining over raising someone ever since Jin Ling got to be too old to snuggle.”
The kid looked up with wide eyes.
“No, you don’t get a choice on the name,” Jiang Cheng told him. “Whatever name this piece of crap gave you, just forget it, you hear me? You can do better than him. But no more demonic cultivation!”

“I wish I could visit the Lotus Pier,” Wei Wuxian mumbled, looking wistfully downriver. They were very close by, but he still didn’t dare, even though Jiang Cheng had grumpily extended an invitation through Jin Ling. So much had happened – he just didn’t know where to even start.
He didn’t want to get into all that messy history with Jiang Cheng.
He just wanted to visit, that’s all.
He missed Jiang Cheng, but he missed the Lotus Pier, too. The food, the places, the air…
“I just need a secret way in that even the sect leader doesn’t know about,” he sighed. He’d once known them all – but there was a different sect leader now, and a different Lotus Pier. He couldn’t risk it: Jiang Cheng might find out that he’d snuck in and feel hurt, thinking that Wei Wuxian was avoiding him, when he was just avoiding the conversation; that would just make everything worse.
Lan Wangji would have distracted him, but Lan Wangji himself had been distracted – some man in Jiang sect colors with a heavy limp and an excited sort of air had rushed over, shouting something about wanting to talk about tax policy and possibly also games of chance, and Lan Wangji had all but fled. It had been so funny that Wei Wuxian had nearly laughed himself sick.
“I know one,” someone said, and Wei Wuxian glanced over: it was a young man in Jiang sect disciple robes, little more than a teenager – only a few years older than Jin Ling, if he had to guess. He was smiling, ducking his head a little; he looked proud of himself. “I mean, if you really want. But only if you don’t mean any harm!”
How adorable, Wei Wuxian thought, and grinned at him. “I just want something spicy without having to go through the whole process of greeting people, is that a crime?”
“Not at all!” the kid exclaimed, beaming, and Wei Wuxian almost felt bad for conning him. Almost.
“Do you really know a secret way in?” he asked, pretending to be doubtful. “Really?”
Sure enough, the kid – Jiang Jianwen, apparently, he must be the kid of one of the ones that survived the massacre – was easily lured into insisting that he did know, and then to agreeing to act as guide.
And, moreover, it turned out he really did know his way inside, which made this the easiest infiltration ever.
Or so Wei Wuxian thought right up until he felt a knife point touch his ribs.
“Well done, Jianwen!” a young woman – also in Jiang colors – said, reaching out and ruffling Jiang Jianwen’s hair.
“Aw, it was nothing,” he said, just as bashful as he was when he’d been talking to Wei Wuxian. “I couldn’t have done it without shixiong luring off Lan-er-gongzi.”
Wait, that’d been part of this, too?
That was worrisome.
“Hardly nothing,” the older woman standing behind Wei Wuxian said. She had a certain sort of rock-hard steadiness that was more worrying than the knife she was holding on him – she was a powerful cultivator, familiar with killing and scarred with a criminal’s brand, and yet she seemed entirely at ease in a way that suggested a strong sense of righteousness, with no guilt or weak points he might exploit to make an easy out. “You successfully conned the Yiling Patriarch into following you right into a trap.”
Wei Wuxian wondered if he could deny it.
“I don’t know, shijie, that doesn’t seem that hard,” the first woman said. “Isn’t he the kind of person to run head-first into danger at the first instance?”
“Head-first into danger, and like his tail’s on fire away from dogs,” the older woman agreed, and – damnit. There was clearly no denying it; they actually knew him. Though from where, he had no idea. “A-Hua, Jiangwen, let’s go – we don’t want to be late for our meeting.”
“I don’t suppose I can convince you to tell me who we’re going to go see?” Wei Wuxian tried, putting on his most charming smile. “Or, perhaps, who you are, and what you have against me…?”
“Jiang Jianwen you know,” the woman said, rather unexpectedly. “I’m Jiang Qiao, and this is Jiang Hua. Our shixiong is Jiang Zhou – he’s the one that makes Lan-er-gongzi lose his wallet every time he’s forced to visit Yunmeng.”
Wei Wuxian was almost distracted with the tantalizing prospects of stories about Lan Wangji. Almost.
“You’re all surnamed Jiang?” he asked, surprised: he might have believed it for Jiang Jianwen, maybe, he was young enough to be the son of someone in the last generation. But Jiang Hua and Jiang Qiao looked absolutely nothing alike either to each other or to Jiang Cheng, and at least Jiang Qiao was old enough that he should’ve recognized her if she’d been a Jiang. There’d been a lot of people in the old Jiang sect, even if you limited it to those surnamed Jiang, but he’d been Head Disciple back then – he’d known almost all of them.
“We’re adopted,” Jiang Jianwen said. He looked very proud. “Sect Leader Jiang took us into the family as part of the branch lines.”
Wei Wuxian had never once in his life wanted to have the surname Jiang, not even when he’d been mocked for not having it. He’d never even thought about it. Not ever.
He felt a stab of envy at the word family, though.
“He gave you his surname?” he asked, and tried not to feel jealous when they all nodded. “Oh.”
It made sense, he tried to tell himself as they walked through the back streets of the Lotus Pier. The Jiang sect had been demolished, and Jiang Cheng practically the only survivor but for whoever happened by coincidence to not be at home – the Jiang sect would need branch family members, and adoption made sense. There was no reason to resent the idea of Jiang Cheng giving the name he had always treated as being so precious to a branded former criminal, to a con man, to a commoner from the countryside, to a –
“You were a what?” Wei Wuxian exclaimed.
“A demonic cultivator,” Jiang Jianwen said bashfully. “Not a very a good one, though.”
Wei Wuxian wanted to say something to that. He didn’t know what, but something.
“Enough chatter,” Jiang Qiao said. “We’re here.”
Jiang Hua opened the door and Wei Wuxian stepped inside.
Then he tried to step back out, only to be crowded in by the others.
“No, no, no,” he said. “No, I was willing to play along until now, but this is a step too far. You don’t understand! She’s going to eviscerate me!”
Jiang Meimei – older than the teenager he remembered her being when she left the sect, but still unmistakable – grinned with her teeth bared.
“Oh good,” she said. “At least your brain is still working. Now come on and have a seat, and we’re going to talk about how you’ve been treating my baby cousin recently…”

Happy Prompt (if you feel like it): WWX being the genius/ex first disciple of great scet that he is realizes they can't sustain the Burial Mounds. So he comes up with a Plan to make them all dissappear. Knowing how important lineage is so them, he asks them to give up the Wen name and take up Wei. (The wens are mostly common folk who just want to live so they agree). He the proceeds to hide them among other clans. People who have met and remember all the good young master Wie always did. He hides them among the Jiang and Nie. (I always head cannon that part of WWX'S flirty reputation comes from him helping women who are in bad situations/ NHS somehow finds out/knows and begins to help him. I figure theyhad to get several Lan women out. Mama Lans ghost helps?). JC knows but ignores it, they aren't WENS anymore, so his pride can leave it be. I'm not sure if A'yuan would still end up with Lan Zhan? But then WWX, WN, and WQ all fake thier deaths and go travel as rogue cultivators. But now WWX has all these living and dead people praying to/for him as the patron Saint of lost causes? And he accidentally becomes an immortal without realizing it? To the absolute fond disgust of WQ, of course. Anyway, I figure old Jin perv still pulls his bullshit at a discussion conference and between NHS, JYL, and LWJ? They somehow clear everyone's nsme. And then newly immortal WWX rocks up in there (to the horror of the Lan Elders who now have to face thier own bullshit/ hypocrisy) and lives happily ever after.
I think I read a prompt or a fic somewhere with the concept of the Wens hiding in plain sight.
________________________
The thought came to him out of nowhere.
It had been a peaceful day with the Wens as he farmed, invented and tinkered with various incomplete contraptions when Wei Wuxian was struck with a thought: they could not continue like this.
Wei Wuxian wasn’t an idiot. He knew that they couldn’t sustain themselves in the Burial Mounds. Their crops hardly prospered, one by one the more elderly individuals of the Wens got sick and died, the resentful energy messed with everyone’s temperament, the cultivators never stopped trying to break his wards.....the list went on and on.
He had to come up with a plan. He thought they could live here for a time, but that was just wishful thinking.
With this in mind, he takes the next few days to come up with a concrete plan.
...............................
The first task, and perhaps the most important one, is to ask the Wens to give up the Wen name. It would be easier from then on.
As he presented this suggestion, he was surprised by how readily they agreed. He knew how important lineage was to them, so the rapidness of them giving up their name was shocking.
“Would you......take up my name?” Wei Wuxian asked quietly.
The Wens were silent before cheering. Wei Wuxian didn’t know how to react to this. The Wens told him that they were more than happy to accept his name since they were his family.
Wei Wuxian held back the tears and laughed happily instead as he went on to tell him the next plan of action: hiding them in plan sight.
Various people from various clans owed him favors and remembered the good in him, as they were more than happy to take on the refugees he hid away now that they were no longer Wens.
They had to do this quietly and slowly though. It would be suspicious if a large group of people suddenly left Yiling all at once. So Wei Wuxian took each of them to different places. Some of them went back to their original homes, some went to the Nie, some to the Yao, some to the Ouyang clan.
He even sends some to the small village of women who he helped run away from their horrible home situations.
It was a little tricky with Nie, but Nie Huaisang pulls through and Nie Mingjue suspects nothing.
He sends some to the Jiang and Jiang Cheng grudgingly accepts them, knowing that they are no longer Wen.
And for A’ Yuan.......He sends A’ Yuan to Lan Zhan, who is familiar with A’ Yuan. Wei Wuxian sends a letter to Lan Zhan asking him to meet and instead of appearing, A’ Yuan is there in his stead. The letter to Lan Zhan details what to do with A’ Yuan and to hide his identity.
Wei Wuxian trusts that Lan Zhan would take his suggestion and tell his brother and uncle that A’ Yuan was a child that Lan Zhan was asked to take care of by a dying mother.
Wei Wuxian watches from afar as Lan Zhan takes A’ Yuan away and takes the last step in ensuring that the cultivation world forgets him: He fakes his, Wen Qing’s and Wen Ning’s deaths. There’s enough corpses in the Burial Mounds and ones with their physique to replace the Wens and him. He gossips to the town that he’s going to destroy his weapon, the Seal, and subsequently fakes an explosion of resentment, quickly disappearing with the Wen siblings to a random direction.
He always thought how nice it would be to be like his parents and be rogue cultivators. He guesses that he’ll find out now.
..................................
Years pass and Wei Wuxian makes decent salary by taking care of monsters in the area. Wen Qing is a doctor, of course, and Wen Ning becomes her assistant.
They move to a little village near Dongying and settle down there. The people there a little more open to demonic cultivation and dark arts and don’t bat an eye at Wei Wuxian using such means.
Wei Wuxian invents more contraptions, selling them under a false name in towns far away from Dongying.
One day, on a chance night hunt near Yunmeng, Wei Wuxian hears whispers and gossip about Nie Huaisang, Lan Wangji and Jiang Yanli clearing his name and capturing the actual people responsible.
He’s happy to hear this. Overjoyed. But that doesn’t mean he’ll gladly return to the cultivation world. He’s had enough of that life.
He walks around town for a bit longer, catching bits of gossip here and there. As explores the town, wine jug in hand, he nearly chokes around a mouthful of wine as he sees a small shrine encasing a statue of his likeness. What.....the hell??
He quickly asks around and finds out that people are praying to him for protection. Wei Wuxian squirms a little at this, glad he’s wearing a weimao to cover his face.
All of this...praying makes him uncomfortable. Not long ago, people were spitting on his name and now he’s suddenly become some sort of Patron for protection? The change is remarkable and cements Wei Wuxian’s decision to firmly stay out of the cultivation world.
People’s opinions change like a tide and Wei Wuxian doesn’t want to stick around long enough for them to switch back. He sighs, disposing of his empty jug, and leaves the town.
.......
Surprisingly, that’s not the end of the changes.
He got careless on a night hunt and ends up with the claw of a yaoguai piercing him all the way through his stomach. When the yaoguai pulled out its claw, though......Wei Wuxian healed quickly. Too quickly.
He recovers from the shock at this and finishes off the yao.
What just happened?
.
.
A quick trip to Wen Qing answered everything.
“Congratulations.” Wen Qing says dryly. “You’re an immortal.”
“........What.”
Wen Qing sighs, “From what you told me, you healed unnaturally quickly, right?”
Wei Wuxian nods.
“There have only been records of immortals recovering that quickly. Even Wen Ruohan healed slower than you did.”
“But I don’t have a core???”
“You do. Sort of.” Wen Qing replies. “I’m actually surprised you haven’t you felt it.”
“.....” I mean, I did think it was odd that I didn’t freeze to death in the winter or die of hunger when money became tight over these years, but I thought those were side effects of demonic cultivation! Wei Wuxian quickly goes through the motions of feeling for his core, willing the surge of hope he felt down.
And he......didn’t feel a core. He felt more of a large mass of energy congregated in his dantian.
Wei Wuxian is glad that he is sitting down right now because he feels very faint.  “But.....this......how?”
“Hmm. Well, from what I’ve been hearing, you’ve become some sort of Patron Saint?” Wei Wuxian nods. “It’s rare, but cultivators can gain power from prayers. Take Wen Ruohan for example.”
“He became powerful through the same means?”
“Yes. Well, his people believed him to be all powerful, not so much as what people are praying to you. As the Sunshot alliance chipped down on his people, so too did they chip down on Wen Ruohan’s power.”
“So if people stop praying to me, I’ll stop being immortal.”
“Yes and no. Right now, there’s just a mass of energy concentrated there. It’s basically unrefined energy. All you have to do is refine that power into a core and cultivate normally. Otherwise, yes. You will lose this power as soon as people stop praying to you.”
“I see.......”
Wen Qing raises an eyebrow and brandishes her needles. “What are you doing just sitting here? Go and cultivate!”
“Aiya, Qing-jie! I’m in shock here, give me a moment to absorb this all!”
“I have patients to see! Get your ass to your room and cultivate!”
“Are you my mom or something?”
Wen Qing’s expression turns thunderous.
Wei Wuxian didn’t want to provoke her any further despite wanting to banter more and left to his room.
..................................
“You should visit your siblings.” Wen Qing says one day. “And Hanguang-Jun. I want to hear about how A’ Yuan is doing.”
“Where did this come from?”
“Wei Wuxian.” Wen Qing says patiently. “It’s been over a decade. Your name and our name has long since been cleared. People no longer hate you. And.....they miss you. Your siblings have commemorated the day you “died” and go into mourning for that day. Hanguang-Jun is a little subtler but he wears a mourning sash now.”
“They’ll be better off without me.”
“Says who?”
“The rest of the world.” Wei Wuxian says weakly.
“And why should you care for their opinion? You never seemed to mind it.”
“Ummm.....Lan Zhan hates me? Jiang Cheng might resent me? And Shij---Jiang-guniang---the Young Madam Jin has a life already.”
“First, if Hanguang-Jun hates you, why would he frequently glare at people who badmouthed you?”
“Because he’s a good person. How do you know this anyway?”
“I have friends. Try again. Hanguang-Jun is a famously reticent person. Would he do this for every person?”
“.........I don’t know.”
“The answer is no.”
Wei Wuxian pouts.
Wen Qing then begins to tell him how Jiang Cheng frequently takes demonic cultivators back with him in hopes that one of them would be Wei Wuxian and even added Wei Wuxian back to the Jiang sect register. Jiang Yanli smiles while ruthlessly talking people into apologizing every time she hears something bad said about Wei Wuxian.
She even lectures him on his feelings towards Lan Wangji, that he would entrust A’ Yuan to him.
Wen Qing closes off her speech with threats of her needles if Wei Wuxian doesn’t get his ass over there.
“There’s a Discussion Conference at Lotus Pier. Wei Wuxian, wait till they’re done and go meet them.”
Wei Wuxian, sufficiently threatened, hightails it back to what was his home.
.......
Wei Wuxian also decidedly forgets that he was supposed to wait for the Conference to end. Well, he had assumed that they would be done considering the empty state of the area in front of the conference room and stupidly bursts through the door to a room full of people.
Wei Wuxian blinks, “Uhh......”
“Wei Wuxian?!”
“Wei Ying?!”
“A’ Xian?!”
Wei Wuxian tittered from side to side, “Hello, all! I bet you thought I was dead! Well, you guessed wrong! Hahaha......”
..............................
Lan Wangji did not know what this time’s discussion conference would be like. He expected Jin Guangshan to try and subtly slander Wei Ying. He expected Jiang Yanli, Jiang Wanyin and himself to stand up for Wei Ying, as he was unable to do before Wei Ying died.
But he certainly didn’t expect Wei Ying, who he thought was dead, burst into the room.
Everyone was silent as soon as they heard Wei Ying speak, but soon burst into a cacophony of noise.
Continuing the Discussion Conference was futile after that and it was quickly closed. Lan Wangji watched Wei Ying be surrounded by many people, some crying, some happily angry, some exasperated and he couldn’t help his reaction after seeing him once again.
He rushes forward and hugs him.
“Wha--Lan Zhan?”
“You’re alive.” Lan Wangji breathes, voice full of wonder. “You’re alive.”
Wei Ying’s arms come up around him and Lan Wangji feels the strong heart beat through their robes. His elders yell at him for his shamelessness and he comes back to himself, embarrassed at his lack of control.
“Aww, Lan Zhan! I’m so glad you missed me!”
“Mn. Missed Wei Ying a lot.”
A slight blush rose to Wei Ying’s cheeks and he laughed, a little shy. Lan Wangji couldn’t help his response to hearing his laugh again after so, so long. He kissed him.
The crowd gasped around them and Lan Wangji pulled back quickly, wanting the ground to swallow him up. But then......Wei Ying kissed him back.
“Aiya, Lan Zhan. How bold of you! To steal a kiss from me in public!” He giggles, not seeming mad at all and even pressing forward, tangling his fingers in his forehead ribbon.
Lan Wangji’s breath stutters at the gesture.
“You’d better take responsibility!”
Is Wei Ying asking what I think he’s asking? “Responsibility?”
“Yes! You took a kiss from me in public! It looks like I can’t marry anymore.”
“Will marry Wei Ying.” Lan Wangji replies, voice hoarse, ignoring the cries of outrage from his elders, the angry shouts from Jiang Wanyin, and the smirks from Jiang Yanli and his brother. “Will take responsibility.”
“I hope that isn’t the only reason.”
This is his chance to come clean. Lan Wangji already told himself that he wouldn’t hold himself back if he met Wei Ying again. “Like Wei Ying. Love Wei Ying.”
Wei Ying laughs brightly. “I like Lan Zhan too. Now, you’ll finally admit we’re close?”
Lan Wangji ignores everyone, eyes only on Wei Ying as they should have always been, “Mn. Let’s get married.”
___________________________
I feel like Lan Wangji may be a bit OOC......hmm. Well, whatever. I finally got this done and with that, I think I’ve cleared all the prompts I haven’t answered, so asks will open up again!
Hope you all enjoyed this!

Oh, oh! Can I ask for Jin Guangyao (and Jiang Cheng, if you feel like it?)
Are you A-Ling, anon?
JGY
one aspect about them i love: Does it have to be only one? Ugh, fine. I guess how much he sucks at being a villain? He is capable of being heartless when the situation calls for it, but he routinely fails to think the situation does call for it and that's veeeery interesting
one aspect i wish more people understood about them: I mean. Bad takes about JGY outnumber the stars in the sky. One thing I wish we talked more about is his complicated relationship with his family, which I feel often gets oversimplified. He does want to be a Jin, he'd never want to remain MY. At the same time, his mother drives his actions even more than his father. He's always walking a fine line between honoring his mother's memory and wanting to move up and away from his past.
one (or more) headcanon(s) i have about this character: He does things like choose the provenance of the tea he serves at conferences to make political statements. It's very sophisticated and clever. His target audience is not smart enough to get any of the messages. He still agonizes over the choices. (LXC, of course, finds A-Yao's choice so delicately intelligent, but he's the one person JGY doesn't need to impress anyway, so it's still pointless.)
one character i love seeing them interact with: I mean, my whole blog says LXC and NMJ, but I have to say I also go feral over his interactions with NHS. (And babies. Audiodrama my beloved)
one character i wish they would interact with/interact with more: QS, of course. But also. I wish they'd thrown us a bone and let us see him with A-Song at least once??
one (or more) headcanon(s) i have that involve them and one other character: MS used to love poetry, as much as she could get her hands on. She didn't necessarily have the background to understand very scholarly pieces, but she had an ear for the sounds and a heart for the meanings. To this day, JGY cannot read poetry without instinctively categorizing them into pieces his mother would or wouldn't like. He has a bound volume of all those who she loved best, and another of some he thinks she would've liked if she'd ever read them.
JC
one aspect about them i love: Congratulations, he loves people and it's incurable. This is much clearer in CQL than in MDZS but JC is deeply shaped by loyalty and attachments (LWJ foil, anyone? No?) and that for me makes him so much more relatable than he'd have been if he had other motivations that would fit in with his backstory, such as envy
one aspect i wish more people understood about them: He's not nearly as rude as people portray him as being. He's perfectly capable of noticing when he can or can't get away with being aggressive, and the moments when he can get away with it are fairly recent and far from universal. He's not nice like, say, LXC, but he's as polite as it's expected from someone in his position (which, again, depends on what his position in society is)
one (or more) headcanon(s) i have about this character: From a very young age, he's adopted the coping mechanism of actively trying to commit to memory special moments even as they're happening. This is not a bad thing, until it suddenly very much is
one character i love seeing them interact with: JYL!! Actually I even thought of putting her down as "wish they'd interact more." Their relationship is supremely underrated!
one character i wish they would interact with/interact with more: JGY. I've been into knowing more about their co-parenting shenanigans since I can remember. I wouldn't say I necessarily ship them, though, which also limits my options 😔
one (or more) headcanon(s) i have that involve them and one other character: I just love to imagine Sunshot era NMJ and JC. I feel like JC would have borderline a case of hero worship.

homemaker wwx au
modern au - large extended Lan family - more omegaverse tropes
so for this au, I want to lean more into a submissive wwx. he will still be smart (Molecular gastronomist major in uni) but after losing his parents and suffering the abuse and abandonment from the jiangs, he just wants a stable home and family so doesn't mind handing over control with lwj who can provide it. also, he knows lwj would never take advantage of him.
mini backstory for wwx is the same as canon: his parents die and he's taken in by the jiangs. yzy is still abusive, wwx isn't the closest to jyl and jc even getting bullied by jc. at age 14 jfm buys wwx a small cheap apartment and gives him enough money in his account to sustain himself each month before leaving him on his own. Facing ridicule from his peers WWX transfers schools (he has to go to jfm’s office and ask for his signature) since omegaverse is an exploration of gender imo, WWX wears the girls uniform and switches back and forth depending on how he feels. Something he wasn’t allowed to do under the Jiangs household. There he meets wq, wn, nhs and LWJ.
For the Lans everyone is alive and they’re one big happy family. Lan An is the grandpa who’s a romantic and still very much in love with his wife who passed away. Qhj and madam Lan are alive and well and happily married. Lqr is the doting uncle because he didn’t have to raise his nephews and still has the influence of his father. Lan Yi is the rich aunt who shows up to the family functions with a new partner every time. There are more Lan family members and they get together for everything! Birthdays, holidays, graduations, a work promotion. These people love getting together. When Madam Lan learns about Wwx, she tells LWJ to invite him to the next get-together. he's basically adopted into the Lan family. they adore him and love his cooking (he had to get good at it for survival since he lived alone and then it became a passion/comfort hence his major) and they are just waiting for lwj to claim him. lwj himself wants to be worthy of wwx, so he waits until after they both graduate uni to propose. (they are already living together and dating while in uni)
one day at work (he works at a flower shop) an old woman approaches him saying he looks like someone familiar to her. turns out it's bssr, his grandmother. they get together and explain how she didn't know about him (her and cssr had a falling out and cssr eloped with wcz and they never reconnected) she didn't know her daughter died or that she had a grandson. anyway for a year wwx leaves lwj to spend time not only with bssr and the rest of her family but he gets to meet the Wei's.
while he's gone, lxc introduces to the family his omega, meng yao. I don’t want to back them bad guys but there will be tension involved. Jgy wants to be accepted by the family so he does his best to be the perfect son in law (they’re not married yet btw) and he is accepted into the Lans. Fast forward to WWX coming back. Jgy and LXC are excited to share news about Jgy’s achievement since it’s rare for omegas to last long in his field. The Lans congratulate him but some are confused cause Jgy is more work oriented than following societal norms. Enter LWJ who was running late because he went to pick WWX up at the airport (he also tried to initiate car s*x but was stopped lol). Anyway the Lans attention turns towards WWX. Jgy sees the Lans in a new light with WWX around. Lqr who he always talked to respectfully and didn’t try to overstep his boundaries is now loudly yelling and chasing WWX around the living room. Madam Lan who is always supportive and kind to him is pampering WWX, something he’s only seen her do to her sons. The children are a lot more lively playing along with WWX’s mischief. The Lans don’t treat him badly and in fact treat him better than his father ever has but this is different than what he’s used too. LXC notice’s Jgy’s mood plummeting. He speaks to LWJ basically insinuating that LWJ shouldn’t have brought WWX today cause now no one is recognizing Jgy (Jgy’s achievement was kept secret though). LWJ ignores him and they go back to where the other alpha’s are.
In the other room with the omegas and children, Jgy makes a pointed comment at WWX about his time with the Jiangs, thinking that he lived lavishly while Jgy had a rough upbringing. Anyway WWX gets up and leaves the room having a panic attack. Madam Lan has to get LWJ to calm him down. Madam Lan is obviously pissed, but keeps control of herself. She leaves to get a plate of food to give the two while they’re resting (panic attacks are mad draining lol). Back with the others who are now pissed at Jgy for ruining such a happy moment and upsetting their favorite nephew. Jgy’s plan of gaining sympathy backfired. LXC pulls him to the side exasperated but understanding Jgy’s train of thought explains why his family is upset and about WWX’s past. Thinking everything has been resolved, LXC goes to reassure his mother but it only infuriated her more. She calls Jgy an outsider and that LXC had no right to tell about WWX’s past. LWJ walks in, in the middle of the argument. He becomes furious attacking his brother. The other alphas break them apart but it’s WWX that gets LWJ to calm down. LWJ says that LXC can’t be trusted not only because of this but I have a past event I’m debating on adding or not as well but wangxian leave the party to go home. Feeling frustrated that her family is in shambles and the party was ruined madam Lan storms off to her with QHJ following her. The others eat a tense dinner before going home early.
Wangxian on the other hand unwinds with a bubble bath and soft s*x, formalizing their bond with matching bites, no longer wanting to wait until the mating ceremony. A couple weeks go by and LWJ returns to work (Rich king can work from home) when WWX gets back into the routine of stopping by at his job to bring him (+ Lqr’s lonely ass) lunch. LXC tries to speak with him but outside of greetings WWX is forbade from speaking with him so he runs away.
A few months later everything has calmed down though there’s the occasional side eye from someone in the family towards xiyao but the next event is better than the first. The rule to not speak with lxc is lifted and the biweekly sunday dinners with just the main Lan family starts again (LWJ was ghosting the but then his parents and uncle started showing up at his house instead lol)
Further down the line when xiyao and wangxian are both married WWX gets pregnant first. Everyone is happy but Jgy. Feeling like he doesn’t measure up to the favorite son in law who’s now giving grandchildren and feeling like a failure for not giving his alpha children (this isn’t coming from the Lans but societal pressure and his bastard father).
After that just wangxian fluff with baby A-yuan

D for Anatole, Amparo, and Milenko, A and I for Valeriy <3 and R for JC!!
They say it's better late than never because this took me forever to ask. I blame Valentine's being on a damn Monday and my job being after my mental sanity. Anyway, thank you for your patience Dani, ily
Anatole, Amparo and Milenko
D   :   DATE.   what is your muse’s ideal date? where / who with / etc?
Anatole
A restaurant, maybe a play, or just dinner are his go-to dates. The dinner option might turn into a picnic, which will probably include coffee.
Likes bookshop dates and ice-skating dates too.
He is, however, rather open to something you might want to suggest, although he prefers museum dates to not be the first date.
Arcanaverse, he'd prefer you didn't take him somewhere with the sole purpose of showing him off. He will notice, he will leave.
With who you ask? If you're good at conversation, taller than him, high intelligence low wisdom/book smart with a degree and not an ounce of common sense in your body, and a bottom or a vers congratulations! You might be eligible for a date with Nana.
Amparo
Do not ever take her to the theatre if you're the one asking her out and it's your first to fifth date. That's where she works, and she is passionate about her job but that's not the only thing she does.
Taking her dancing is a very good choice however, she also enjoys coffee dates, but the café has to have some quirkiness to it or she'll 'meh' about it.
Escape rooms or gothic-esque experiences? Please do! She'd love if you take her to a treasure hunt.
If she spends the night, she'd like the coffee date to happen as a breakfast for two thing.
With who? She likes spirited people who are both willing to live the adventure and the lowlife, someone who will support her (and maybe spoil her just a little) and has a deeper outlook about life.
Milenko
This man will literally do anything, and I do mean anything.
He, however, is likely to take you to dinner to a hole in the wall little place he knows well, and who is most definitely underrated because it's the best dinner you'll ever have in your life.
Fairs, markets and festivals are his second go-to.
He probably won't ask you to dinner at his place until later on, but if you're lucky that he's cooking for you at your place, then god bless your soul you won the jackpot.
He's very curious and chitchatty and enjoys people who like a good, well meaning debate.
He likes people whose egos are not so big that they smother the whole room, kind people who are open minded and have some consideration for an art or science (which are really the same thing) and who is willing to listen to him as he will also be willing to listen to them.
Valeriy Radošević-Cassano aka 'Valerius'
A   :   AFFECTION. how does your muse show affection?
Through complaining, quality time, and most importantly: if Valeriy doesn't want you in his life, you will not exist in his life. The tricky part is, however, that he's very good at pretending he has consideration for you, when he actually doesn't.
If he lets you decide things to do with him, that's also a good sign. Nor that nor this will sound like big things for other people, but they are for him: if he's asking for your opinion and actually goes through with your opinion for private matters, he might as well consider you the most important person on earth.
I    :   I LOVE YOU.   does your muse find ‘i love you’ easy or hard to say?
It is the hardest thing he's ever had to say. He's the kind of person who, even in private, has a hard time saying it and often leaves the sentence unfinished. You have to trust his charged silence and the little things he insists on doing (again in private).

R : ROMANCE. is your muse a romantic or a cynic?
This is a matter where JC would rather risk silliness and ridicule than tough it out, because cynicism might as well be their mortal enemy. In the I want you out of this world, not in the homoerotic way.
Aside from me thinking this might be the ultimate feeling I try to evoke with the "arcana" julesverse, this bit from Prometheus Unbound by Percy Shelley does sum up how JC sees things:
To suffer woes which Hope thinks infinite; To forgive wrongs darker than death or night; To defy power which seems omnipotent; To love, and bear; to hope till Hope creates From its own wreck the thing it contemplates Life may change, but it may fly not; Hope may vanish, but can die not; Truth be veiled, but still it burneth; Love repulsed -but it returneth.

So.
Previously on my "The Untamed/MDZS Ice Skating AU".
Unfortunately for y'all I have not finished talking about it. as always, a big thank you to @galaxy-darkmoon for giving me rope, and also @the-nonchalance-blogs for giving me the idea in the first place.
We left things at the double divorce JFM/YZY and JGS/Madam Jin.
At this point in time the other players step in. I will start with the WangXian and continue on with the SangCheng part.
I will do the XiYao drama in the next post cos this is already way too long and I need to think.
Anyway, enjoy. Under the cut
THE WANGXIAN DRAMA
Now, WWX is still competing and training under freshly divorced JFM as a solo - and possibly the star of the Jiang rink. A lot of people and journalists have a lot of things to say about the Choices™(C) made by JFM, but WWX's skills and prowess and several silver and gold medals on his rack, plus several trophies won jot all of that down.
Enter the Lans. The Lans are an extremely traditionalist family of ice skaters, who only skate with classical/traditional music and that has become through the years their trademark.
LQR, the coach and also LXC and LWJ's uncle, after the untimely disappearance of the parents, and the two brothers have trained a lot - LXC is already in the seniors category, whilst LWJ is still in the juniors category.
It's time for regional championship and WWX is also competing.
And it's clichè, but it is love at first ina bauer and toe loop for both WWX and LWJ. They both score first and whilst JFM and LQR are already down to throw hands for the gold medal, WWX blurts out a "why don't we share? we are both really good, so why don't we share the podium." This all whilst being the usual feral gremlin. LWJ is like, "no, it's not in the rules", but LXC is like "uncle, that's a really good suggestion" and LQR is at an inch from losing it, JFM deals the final blow like "you heard WWX, come on! let's praise them both!" and LQR concedes.
JC has seen the thing and he is at the "this might as well happen" point and just leaves the rink where he was watching WWX without a word. I will come back on this in just a moment.
LQR anyway invites WWX at the Gusu rink to train, stuff that happens once every blue moon, and JFM is like "yes, that is my son" "Uncle Jiang I am not your son" "Details, just go." "Ok, let me say goodbye to people."
And by "people" he means JC and Yanli, who were there to watch him compete.
Yanli congratulates him and says that JC is outside.
WWX goes to JC, who has had A Day™ and is just like "congrats, if it had been me at your place my father would have preferred to give up the position rather than have me share the podium" "Aw you know he doesn't mean that. I know you are as good as me and one day he will see that." "well, good luck then, I have stopped competing, say that to Father™"
More drama.
More misunderstanding.
JC goes back home, packs up and rents a flat near the Nie rink. He takes the position as ice skating teacher for kids over there and tries finding some sort of peace, whilst still aching over the above mentioned drama.
WWX goes to Gusu with the ache of having lost a brother completely and yes, being close to LWJ does make him feel better, but he still misses greatly his family.
Anyway the national championships approach and eventually WWX and LWJ change into a pair, become an item and end up skating into the sunset over wangxian.mp3, break several rules, get disqualified and then LQR and JFM, pressed by LXC, make an appeal and get the commission to accept them.
WWX and LWJ skating off into the sunset inspired by this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpp5XKiQqBE
THE SANGCHENG DRAMA
I said that JC stops competing, goes away from YZY's rink, rents a flat and goes teaching ice skating to kids at the Nie rink.
Now, the Nie have a team of hockey players. NMJ is the coach, NZH is the captain and NHS should technically be on the team as well, but he'd rather pull out paper and pencil and sketch out the things that interest him the most, birds most notably. NHS has an extensive collection of fans as well.
NMJ is fuming bc NHS has the capability and the potential to be the perfect ice hockey player, but he'd rather just NOT participate in that. NMJ has unfortunately a chronical illness and knows he can't be forever there, he would LOVE for his brother to inherit the team, but he has not said anything about his chronical illness to NHS thinking that if he did maybe NHS would feel too much pressured. He does not know that NHS knows about the chronical illness and is the one making sure that NMJ takes his medications.
In any case, when JC starts teaching, NHS is fascinated. He watches JC gracefully glide on the ice and be generally the Ice Price Of His Dreams, If Not For The Aggressiveness, but considering that also NMJ Tends To Be That Way Too, NHS assumes that there is some turmoil going on and makes it his mission to uncover All Of That™.
THat and also NHS really enjoys drawing JC gliding gracefully on the ice - too bad JC discovers this and also NMJ is VERY perceptive, but NOT subtle at all, so when NMJ says "HUAISANG COME AND PLAY!" "One sec bro, I have to finish something" "STOP LOOKING AT THE TEACHER'S ASS AND COME HERE NOW OR I WILL BURN YOUR FANS." "... Thank you bro for destroying any chance I had."
Awkwardness ensues.
JC is unfortunately very direct and does not beat around the bush. NHS confesses. JC is in a mystic crisis bc "OMG someone likes ME, the CRANKIEST and ANGRIEST man on earth." NHS takes a step back and notes, in his 35 steps plan on how to court and conquer JC that he needs to make him understand that "the greatest thing you'll ever learn is to love and be loved in return".
It takes NHS to step in to win a game, whilst NMJ is in the hospital bc the chronic illness is too much to bear, JC taking NHS to the hospital to see NMJ alive and slightly better, NMJ's blessing to NHS and JC and NHS throwing himself onto JC after NMJ is asleep bc THE PRESSURE, THE WORRY, THE CONCERN, and JC says that he will be there and NHS wanted to be the conquering one, but he ends up conquered by the heart of gold of JC.
JC reveals all about his family and NHS convinces him to reconcile, if not with his parents, with WWX and Yanli. Things work out bc HS is great at mediating and JC is genuinely touched by him.
WWX and Yanli tell JC to go for it, bc it is clear that there is some sort of sentiment, thus forcing JC to sort himself out.
JC sorts his feelings out and declares his love to NHS by performing a choreography on "Nature Boy" by David Bowie.
See you next time with the XiYao and Xuanli part.

Hi tulips!! Congratulations on your 500 followers babe ❤🌺 hope that you're doing well, eating healthy and drinking your water in time. Anyways, I'm here for the game: These are my question
1. Apperance of my future spouse
2.How Or where will i meet them?
That's it.. Thank youuu soo much in advance wishing you sooo much luck and positivity for you blog
P. S I love yo content and your works are amazing
❤❤❤❤
Hello friend :) thanks for being here ~
so let's see.
this person is giving me major earth and fire sign vibes. so, think of someone with large eyes, almost like cow eyes. the kind where if they get caught doing something, they'll look at you like a puppy and your heart will melt. it'll be like "Fuck you. I can't stay mad at you >:( " kind of situation.
this person is probably going to have really dark eyes. I've noticed that fire/earth energy peeps tend to have darker eyes lol. they may be a bit stocky... like.. not fat, but just buff. like...thick lmao.
they have such a beautiful smile jc. this person is giving me uh.. jeffrey dean morgan and travis willingham vibes. just someone who feels so earthy and is made of fire at the same time lol. I know it's very specific but the image came through pretty clear.
You know what's interesting though? I have an uncle who looks like Jeffrey and he's a pisces. so they could be a pisces too lmao.
Anyway!
I'm not getting anything helpful when it comes to when or how you'll meet this person. it's just coming through as some sort of manifestation, and people are going to be involved.
What I think is most likely going to happen is that money is going to be involved. and it's going to be during a time where perhaps you're trying to get this big job, or a promotion, or a project for school or something. something that you're really focused on or that they're focused on.
and whatever it is, it's going to go well. and so I see you both meeting at some sort of celebration? maybe not celebration but like... you know how in art galleries they open it to the public and people can walk around and see stuff? it's like that.
and I think you both just begin the conversation of what the work is and so on. it's very subtle and I don't expect much to come out of it in the beginning. but, I do think there will be interest in each other when you first meet haha.

Pakistan Air Force officially presents six new J-10C fighter jets
Fernando Valduga By Fernando Valduga 03/1122 - 16:00 in Military
The Pakistan Air Force formally presented on Friday (11/03) six new J-10C multifunctional fighters made in China, during a ceremony held at Mine Air Base in Kamra.
Prime Minister Imran Khan, along with other federal ministers, head of service and Chinese ambassador, participated in the inauguration ceremony of single-engine fighters at the special invitation of the head of Air General Staff (CAS), air marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar.
The Prime Minister congratulated the nation on the introduction of the new multifunctional fighter and also thanked China for delivering the fighter jets to Pakistan in a short period of eight months.
Tumblr media
"When the F-16s were introduced 40 years ago, the whole nation was exultant and now that time has come again, as Pakistan is strengthening. There was an attempt to create an imbalance in the region, but the induction of fighters again created a balance," he said.
Tumblr media
He also expressed confidence that any aggressor would pay a high price for testing Pakistan's defense capabilities.
"A message went to the whole world after Pakistan's response to Balakot's attack from which we have full capacity to defend ourselves," the prime minister said and added that the true strength of the armed forces is a united nation with a synchronized vision.
Tumblr media
“We fought a very difficult war against terror. But the message was conveyed to the whole world that we can defend ourselves," the prime minister said praising the armed forces and people of the country.
After seeing the display of the newly sworn-in combat aircraft, the prime minister expressed confidence that no state or actor could put pressure on Pakistan anyway.
Tumblr media
“A sovereign country can only remain sovereign when it can defend itself,” said the Prime Minister, who also recognized and appreciated PAF Squadron No. 15 for speeding up the induction of the J-10C aircraft in record time.
Tumblr media
"As our wealth increases, our first priority is to raise the country's poor through various programs, such as health cards and Ehsaas. The second is to strengthen our defense," said the Prime Minister.
Air Chiefs, Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar, said the PAF was prepared and skilled to prevent any aggression by the enemy. He said that the JC-10 was a fully integrated weapons, avionics and combat system and its introduction into the PAF would further strengthen its professional capabilities.
Tumblr media
The J-10C can be equipped with an active electronic scanning radar (EFSA) larger than that used by the JF-17 Block 3. The aircraft can also carry more advanced fourth-generation air-to-air missiles, including the short-range PL-10 and PL-15 beyond visual range.
Tumblr media
Chinese analysts praised the latest defense cooperation between China and Pakistan, saying that the measure is of great importance to both countries, as it increases the combat capabilities of the Pakistani armed forces, promotes China's aviation equipment and serves regional security interests.
Tumblr media
"The J-10C will significantly increase the combat capabilities of the Pakistan Air Force," Chinese analysts said.
“The J-10C is a 4.5 generation medium-sized fighter and is more powerful than the China-Pakistan joint lightweight fighter, the JF-17, which is currently in service with the Pakistan Air Force,” Shipborne Weapons Executive said. Editor-in-chief Shi Hong had told the Global Times.
Where previously the former F-16C Fighting Falcon was considered Pakistan's best fighter in air-to-air combat, it should be relegated to third place behind the JF-17 Block 3 and J-10C, with the J-10 being the most capable fighter by a considerable margin, according to the Pakistani military.

Hi! Since I've been reading all your posts lately, I stumbled with a bunch of JYL killing WWX and it got me thinking... What if JYL was cursed to do so? What if JGY has been playing to her one of his dark songs (because of course he memorized all of them even if he just destroyed the one he was gonna use with NMJ), to "help her" with her baby popping recovery but it's just a suggestive song that makes the listener do what the musician is playing them to do.
So her "mission" was to kill wwx when she was close enough to him (just as a precaution because Jin Zixun was an idiot and very well could fail on his mission) since JGY thought that, if someone was able to be close enough to him to do so, that must be JYL (and maybe JC but he was more difficult to approach than his sister-in-law)
So maybe she goes to him, grieving, in the middle of the siege maybe, carrying his sword in a way to make him understand that he should go back to "the right path" or maybe just grabbing one random knife over there, but she's just trying to save her baby brother, to make him come back to her, to JC, except that as soon as she's close enough to him, this urge to just STAB HIM IN THE HEART overwhelms her and, without even knowing why nor being able to stop/control herself, she does as much.
And so WWX dies in front of her, betrayed expression the last emotion his face shows, and JYL is left there, hands still making sure the knife stays deep in WWX's chest, making sure he's truly, completely DEAD, until JC manages to get her apart from their brother's body and she slowly recovers sanity. And the weight of what she just did almost crush her.
All the cultivation world of course celebrate, congratulate her, admire her! The one who managed to kill the Yiling Patriarch!! But JC just can't see her in the eye anymore, can't trust her anymore, can't forgive what she did.
He believes he knows why she did it (WWX was the cause JZX was dead after all) so he didn't ask her. He didn't let her explain herself. They never spoke about that day again, actually. If he had asked tho, she could have only said "I don't know" because she truly doesn't know why she did what she did.
So one ficlet made from this (I think it was mondengel's?) talks about JC fidgeting when he captures WWX in MXY's body and how he got in front of her when she approached his brother and took her with him when he had to leave the room before JL helps WWX escape. She just wanted to apologize. She just wanted to hug her baby brother and ask for forgiveness. She just wanted to cry and cry and rejoice in the fact that he was back! But JC didn't give her enough time for her to get a hold of her feelings to start expressing any of that and then WWX was gone again.
Then more prompts talk about how LWJ keep the Jiang Siblings and WWX apart because he doesn't trust JYL (burning JYL's letters and stuff, leaving WWX thinking his sister still hates him and JYL thinking his brother does so as well) until one day, probably via JL/LJY, they plan a reunion; since JL has seen his mother crying and regretting her actions and just wanted to /talk/ with her brother, and LJY, bless his soul, probably just wants to see LSZ/WWX smile again and he knows the Jiang Siblings Issue TM is pretty much the cause they are so down lately.
SO! THEY MEET! Except LWJ and JC are there because I want them to be there but they could very much not be (in such case maybe WWX discovers LWJ lied to him about the letters and they have the biggest fight ever and WWX just runs away to her sister's side).
So WWX goes to his sister, knowing now that she just wants to talk and that she doesn't hate him at all (or so the letter says) and so when JYL sees his little brother she starts crying because she thought she would NEVER be able to be with him again and WWX goes to her immediately because his sister crying because of him is a huge NOPE!
And so he gets close enough to her to hug her. Close enough for her to kill him. So she grabs the closer weapon she has (probably Sandu if JC is near, most likely JL's if LWJ/JC are not) and STRIKES! because she's cursed. Because the song still has an effect on her. Because it will forever be.
And this time WWX doesn't look shocked or betrayed. He just smiles. Because he knew. Deep down, he knew that his sister hated him and couldn't stand the thought of him being alive while her husband was dead. Who could live with the knowledge that their loved one's killer is still around there being happy and safe when they can't enjoy their own happiness anymore? His last words are probably something like "I'm sorry"
If LWJ is there, he would probably try to kill JYL not gonna lie. I mean, he indeed /knew/ this could happen. He should have insisted more, tried more, being more firm on them not meeting again, ever! If he's not there, the same happens lol (But if he was there he would probably had been able to stop her so now I'm reconsidering and saying he ain't there)
If no one but JL is there, can you imagine how he would feel? That he was pretty much the cause his uncle (who he has learn to love now, even if he wouldn't admit it) was killed once more. That his mother just manipulate him into thinking she just wanted his brother back just to set him straight into a deadly trap?
Can you imagine how JYL would feel when she recovers sanity again and sees what she did, AGAIN?! My bets are she can't handle the guilt and try to kill herself. She doesn't understand a thing, why she did what she did again, but it doesn't matter. It doesn't change anything. It doesn't erase her actions. What is done is done and she just killed her brother! AGAIN!!!!
So yeah, rest in peace WWX, JYL, I guess. What else can be done besides that anyway?
