Talia even being called an assassin gives me the ick because when she was first introduced she hated killing, felt immense guilt the few times she had to, and most of the time if it looked like she killed someone it turned out to be anaesthesia or a tranquilizer or something. Like she was literally studying to be a doctor when her and Bruce met and she was based off of the stereotypical Bond Girl because it was the 70's. Like I know it's basically her entire character now that she's an "assassin mom" or whatever but that was not who she was intended to be and I hate how it's done most of the time because it's ALWAYS a way to point and say "look at the evil brown woman! She's a cold blooded killer who forced/passively allowed her son to kill as well! It's a good thing that the feral brown boy is now with his good white family so he can learn the value of life and art and how to exist in civil society!" And it's actually really pissing me off. You guys don't even read a characters introduction comic before you start writing the same regurgitated nonsense steeped in racism and misogyny. Damian's whole character as it stands is basically character assassination for Talia and in order for me to be able to engage with him he'd have to be entirely rewritten.

I used the Wayback Machine to see what the Far Cry 5 official websites looked like from 2017 to 2020 and find out if that’s where the character information sheets posted on the Playasia Blog (here) were from. I’m talking about these:

So I can confirm the images above do NOT come from the official websites. Although they look like they were made by Ubisoft, it seems they weren’t.

But during my research, I did find official character descriptions! There are several versions depending on which page/article you are reading, which website (Far Cry or Far Cry 5) you are on, and which region (America or Europe, basically) you select. Some of the descriptions have even changed over time!

Since the old websites don’t exist anymore and most of that content was deleted (but not really, thanks to the Internet Archive), I’m going to post what I’ve gathered here :)

a guide on how to NOT block ads and download videos on YouTube for FREE!!!!

so recently YouTube dished out an update that, for certain users using an adblock, will stop you from watching more than three videos if they detect you using an adblocker. to counter this update, many users have started being introduced to adblockers, which is obviously not good and something you TOTALLY DEFINITELY shouldn't do because YouTube will lose 000.01% of their revenue while they continue to get trillions of dollars every year with little to no negative effects. here's a guide on how to NOT block ads on both pc and mobile and protect your browsing experience, and especially how to NOT download and watch videos without restrictions whatsoever, starting out with how to NOT download Brave Browser!

on your pc, do NOT download the Brave browser from brave.com/download/ and click "Download Brave for [insert OS here]" to start the installation process!!

Brave has a built-in adblocker that will automatically block ads from YouTube as well as other sites, which is DEFINITELY what you DON'T want if you want to protect your online safety and save hours of time. it also has several options for blocking trackers and has access to the Chrome Webstore, which has access to tons of adblockers which you definitely totally do not want on your pc!! additionally, you should also NOT go to the Google Play Store or the App Store and type in Brave Browser to download it for mobile devices!!

2. in the pc version of Brave Browser, do NOT go to the Chrome Webstore and type in "UBlock Origin" or "AdGuard" and click search!! do NOT then install these extensions and ENABLE them in your browser!! these extensions are incredibly UNhelpful and trusted by the community and will block YouTube ads, which is COMPLETELY WRONG and NOT want you want TOTALLY!!!

(P.S. avoid downloading options that are not circled because they're likely viruses and are not trusted. i mean umm dont download adblockers guys totally haha)

on the off chance you already installed Brave Browser and have UBlock enabled before the anti-adblock update, do NOT click the cog icon and do NOT click the 'Filter Lists' tab, where you WON'T click on 'Purge All Caches' and 'Update Now'!! this will update the extension to continue to block all YouTube ads after the anti-adblock update, which is BAD and something you should NEVER DO to protect your security!!!

GUIDE FOR MOBILE:

do NOT go on your Brave Browser (which you have also NOT INSTALLED!) on mobile and install F-Droid from f-droid.org/en/!! F-Droid contains apps that are free and open source that you should DEFINITELY NOT go ahead and download because they are extremely UNhelpful and will NOT make your phone cooler!!!

2. while you are NOT on the F-Droid app because you DIDN'T download it, do NOT search up "App Manager" and do NOT download the app that looks like this!!

this app will let you install and manage custom APKs which you DON'T want because it will allow you to patch YouTube using UNRULY, UNGOOGLE APPS!!!

3. whatever you do, do NOT go to this incredibly UNhelpful Reddit Thread on r/revancedextended and DEFINITELY DON'T carefully follow the guide's instructions on how to patch your YouTube app! it will block ads as well as having other options that YouTube is too greedy to put in, which is BAD and will increase productivity!!

the thread tells you how to patch and install a modded APK of YouTube using the RVX Manager, which is NOT good and should be NOT followed at all costs!!

DON'T carefully follow each step, and your app should NOT look like this if patching is successful!! (which it won't be because you did NOT download RVX Manager MicroG to make your YouTube experience better!)

do NOT click that install button and enjoy a completely ad-free YouTube that includes Sponsorblock and blocks the ever-so-lucrative Shorts shelf so that you don't distract yourself for three hours!!

4. do NOT open up F-Droid again and type NewPipe into the search bar!!! it is a FILTHY frontend of YouTube that blocks ads, lets you download videos, doesn't track you and is fully accessible without an account!! it also has access to other services like SoundCloud and Bandcamp, which you should NOT use!!!

this app is NOT helpful for getting around the age-restrictions, and while it can have issues with crashing, it's extremely UNhelpful and NOT lightweight!! you can also NOT download video thumbnails from video descriptions!!!

5. finally, DON'T go back to F-Droid and do NOT search up AdAway!!

this app is NOT helpful because it will establish a connection to your network and it will block every single ad domain when activated, including mobile game ads!!! which is obviously NOT GOOD because it will cost poor Googl$ less than a 100th of their trillion dollar revenue!! who will comfort Googl$ then!?!?

i hope you enjoyed this guide on how to NOT make YouTube on all of your devices more secure and easy to use, as well as how to block ads on every device!! i sure hope no one accidentally *wink wink nudge nudge* installs all of these onto their devices to free them of an ad-filled experience!! definitely DON'T check the tags for a few extra tips!!

Temu isn't full of spy malware (something that is very easily fact-checkable! don't trust fox news y'all) BUT we should still be suspicious of it because its referral program is hella shady and its parent company has a bad track record.

This video goes into more detail on Temu's referral program and the guy actually downloaded the app to test it himself, but the short version is that it uses slot machine level gamification tactics to encourage people to send their code to others for free stuff, and then keeps moving the bar to make obtaining said free stuff almost (but not entirely!) impossible.

This has led to a wave of people scamming others into downloading Temu to use their referral code so that they can get closer to winning something for free. Now, that may or may not have been Temu's intention and obviously we can't blame them for how their userbase acts, but I personally am super suspicious of anything that acts like a slot machine.

At the very least, we should probably be having a conversation on how and where Temu is making its money and whether that kind of business is sustainable. According to the Snopes article about Temu that's been circulating, most of their parent company's profits come from advertising and selling user data. This is supported by and necessitates a huge and ever-increasing userbase, which ties back in to those predatory tactics described above.

At best, it's an app with shady, user-driven viral marketing. At worst, the app could turn to more extreme data harvesting as a means of profit once that well of new users starts to dry up—per the Snopes article and CNN, this appears to have happened with Pinduoduo, a separate app owned by Temu's parent company, earlier this year. That's where those malware claims come from, because they are true about another app owned by the same company.

TLDR; there are reasons to be suspicious of Temu that aren't misinformation, and the topic is more complicated than 'communist spyware' vs. 'completely safe and ethical'

I know PLENTY of Christians who do not support Isreal and support Palestine. You cannot point at someone, say "they're far right" and then call them a zionist with no other evidence. Unless that person has done something that supports Israel, directly or indirectly, then it's pure speculation, you are spreading potentially harmful rumors, and I don't want to keep getting blocked by people simply because I asked to see where they were getting this info from.

And, once again, when asked what your source is, if your first response is to get angry instead of finding a fucking link that proves your point, then I don't wanna hear it. You can speculate. having read Dracula last year really made me just downright allergic to hearing about Dracula’s adaptations, i was watching a video about the tropes of the horror genre the other day and the guy confidently started to talk about the “Madonna/Whore” trope by illustrating it with Mina and Lucy because “Mina is virginal despite her attraction to the count and Lucy is a whore because she plays with multiple men and fucks the count”, while also throwing a totally unnecessary “also Jonathan is useless in this story it makes you wonder why he’s a main character” and i almost turned it off like “yeah lost absolutely all credit here”. and i wouldn’t be as mad if the youtuber had specified that it was only in the movie and different in the books but, when there were movies adapted from books doing things differently in the list, he would mention it, he just didn’t on Dracula so i was just oh. oh 🔪
